Okay so I'm trying something new, since I've gone away from a switch to water for the last week flush I harvested the tops and best smalls and packed the cannatrol full. I'm giving the under growth a bit more time to rippen before I harvest that for the the freezer. If this turns out to be a bad idea I'll not do it again in the future. The last long video is what's left in the tent right now. Let me know if any of you have experience doing this. Updated with a bunch of pictured of dried and cured. Ended up with 186g of beautiful flower. 72g of untrimmed smalls I'll make into RSO, I have a lot of back and nerve pain and RSO hands down the only thing that brings me actual relive, I'm late to the party on this one but I set a side part of the grow for it now. I let the under canopy and shorter tops go another 10 days feed at half strength and I'm glad I did, it ripened up nicely and definitely got a lot of color. I forgot to get pictures of that harvest but I will when I pull it from the freezer to wash. My test jar of this washed at 4+% (the last picture). Last update will be results of that wash. Last update on this one, I added a couple hash/rosin pics at the end. She washed from plant to rosin at 4.03% the terps are musky skunk, sweet pastries, and fresh Linen. I'd definitely grow this one again.

02-02-2026 Third week of 12/12 for Colombian Gold. Her buds are developing nicely, she has nice, white hairs. I saw some brown tips but didn’t find any herming in the tent. It’s probably some stress or me touching the plant. It’s quite crowded in the tent! I defoliated her today big time. I didn’t know where to start so I started cutting some branches. Cutting branches hurts! Some of them where lime green, have never seen any light in their short lives. I also found some dried leaves. She already started defoliating herself a bit 😉 It’s a pity I forgot to take some pictures before defoliating, but the short video gives an impression of her bushy structure. I love how she grows ❤️❤️💚💚💛💛

The plants continue to grow although slowly. I turned the Gavita back on this week and even at 42 inches it seems to be too much light at full power because although they're getting adequate nutrients, the leaves appear to be showing signs of damage to the chlorophyll pigments. I'd like to splurge and get the adapter and controller so that I can dim the light and slowly increase the intensity to allow for a more gradual photo acclimation period, but I will probably hold off until my next run. I've also considered adding supplemental Co2 to help the plants more effectively tolerate and take advantage of the light intensity, but it seems like a big expense for an uncertain benefit considering all of the other variables that are sub-optimal. Perhaps I'll give those Excellofizz Co2 pucks a try. Someday I'll build sealed grow room with automated Hvac, feeding, and Co2 enrichment but for now I'll soldier on and hope for the best as the flip to 12-12 approaches. More to come next week!

Hi@all, this is the last week in the vegetative phase. Starting tomorrow it will be switched to 12/12. Looks quite good to my taste, except for too much light and too little fertilizer. Both light and fertilizing are somewhat under control for now (hopefully) I continue to enjoy trying to adjust all the values of the plant/nutritions and environment correctly and finding out what works well and what doesn’t. 04/29/2021 New week and she is doing lovely! New pistils are popping up everywhere and she is starting to get a faint smell I can't yet figure out how to describe. I believe I got some nice close ups on each top, looking very healthy other plants all have PW on their leaves not a smidgen on this girl, and that is my #1 breeding goal (read my germination period) for my girls. Took two nice tops to clone and Work this cross, time to pop some more seeds of this batch and find a good male, and females that exhibit traits I desire, and continue to resist PW!!!🙏 Goal#2 More sativa stretch than my short, Cookie Cake genotype.

I've been waiting for at least some trichomes to turn amber. I prefer to harvest when there are at least a few amber. I took the PL2 3 days before the PL1. Flushed them for a week only

It requires oxygen and produces carbon dioxide and water as byproducts. A soil without organic matter will generally have a low Cation Exchange Capacity (CEC). Needs to be charged similar to coco but at a much higger rate. But shhhh.. It's a secret. Ancient biochar-rich soils in the Amazon basin (known as Terra Preta) provide evidence of carbon stability lasting over 500 to 2,000+ years. Recommend a balanced ratio of key cations, particularly calcium (Ca), magnesium (Mg), and potassium (K). A widely accepted general "ideal soil" cation saturation ratio is approximately 65-85% Ca, 6-12% Mg, and 2-5% K. That's roughly what I give mine. Can even add N in its NH4+ form

I've been dealing with a lot of heat issues. I've tried different things and what seems to have helped is more fans in the tent, and I put a bucket of ice in daily. The video is a time-lapse from week 3 and part of four. Jenny had some slight leaf cupping most likely due to some heat stress which I've since corrected. I also come to realize in week 4 I was underwatering/feeding my plants. Raising the lights, adding fans, and daily ice buckets have made for really great looking plants in the tent. Once in a while, I have dropped some dry ice in and it seems to give the plants a little boost. It may be in my head, but the temp drop, the co2 release, and humidity bump seem to have helped. The only type of LST I have done is put a fan in to blow the plants around, and I have tucked some bigger leaves under smaller ones to expose the new growth or flowering site to more light. All in all, I have been hands-off with my plants. I do rotate them and shift them around the tent a lot.
