ॐ MOBY DICK from BARNEY'S FARM "Bedroom setup" 10th week of flowering from 12.1.2026. to 18.1.2026. but content of pictures is from 12.1.2026. to 22.1.2026. Harvest week :) also drying days included. Harvest was done after 4 days of darkness (15.1.2025.) i did heavy wet trim and let them hang for few days before puting them in nets, after some days in net, i removed all buds from stems and put all in jars, will burp them for next few weeks every few days. Trough drying process(10days) i took 25g for somoking. and with that included weight of dry bud was 992grams, also i forgot about first two braches which i removed and smoked while platns was alive at end of week 9 which was 18g, so all in all around 1kg with 13 plants. Here with these 13 plants which i had is three phenos, maybe only two plants was real Moby Dick (pheno no1), these others (most of them) was mix between G13Haze and WhiteWidow, with strong domination of WW over the G13Haze (pheno 2), and one plant was where G13Haze was more dominant over WW (pheno 3). All buds are dense and rich with trichomes, smell is citrusy and very very strong. This buds hiting hard, very strong sativa which i rly like :) Moby Dick was very easy to grow, plants rly liked heavy training, and once again Barney's Farm genetics did great for me. :) Take care and much love. ॐ

Week 8

The plants have reached a stage where they have enough foliage and growth on them to begin training and defoliation. I cut most of the side growth and major fan leaves off. Using safety pins and twine, I started their LST.

EDIT: I've added some pics and video of my negative pressure setup to ensure no smells in my little 8x8 office! In fact, this room has the freshest smelling air in the house because it's constantly filtered XD This is what hospitals do when they quarantine people -- they put you in a negative flow room so any drafts you feel under the door, from the ceiling and windows, microscopic holes in the room, etc are going INTO the room, and exhaust is controlled through some decontamination method (I'm unfamiliar with that part of it). This week was a huge struggle with the clones. Self-inflicted. I was going to keep them in the buckets for a while, but when I watered them mid-diary-week pot A was not draining even though it has some decent drain holes and rocks on the bottom. I tried digging out the sides down to the bottom to try to open it up, I tried mashing on the sides and bottom of the pot to break stuff up... But it just would not stop being a pool of standing water :( So, I had to do an emergency transplant into the new perlite hempy bucket. Now other than a washed out soil/root plug about the size of my fist, I'm hydro in 100% perlite. (Manual Hydro though, I am the pump! :P) Been giving it MaxiGro since, and I think it actually really loves being in the perlite :O After having such success with the transplant for A, I decided to transplant B right after just because. But, I didn't cut one of the LST strings all the way :facepalm: When I went to lift it out I didn't get very far at all and the main stem snapped off, leaving only one fan leaf and some tiny growth! I figured since it has a healthy root system, it'd eventually recover / stabilize. So I did one of those "whistle while sweeping it under the rug" things, and just put it back the way it was. I've noticed a bit of growth today on official end of week clone servicing day, so I went ahead and transplanted B into a hydro bucket too! Gave it 2-7-7 cactus food and a splash of CaliMagic, the higher P and K of the cactus food should help it recover faster (or so I've read). We'll see how this goes moving forward. Even if it's a flop, it'll at least be a learning experience. I've moved plenty of plants from pot to pot, but never from grow medium to grow medium -- which is actually quite stressful and dangerous to the plant if you don't do it perfectly with all the precautions in place (like using gloves so you don't touch the roots!) I'm excited at the prospect of not having to screw around with soil any more. I can just rinse and sterilize (will use steam most likely) the perlite and it's good to go for the next grow! A shout out to someone I met on here that has been patiently answering all my questions regarding the hempy buckets, perlite, hydro nutrients, etc. I don't want to reference them by name because I don't want to risk causing them to receive a flood of questions from a bunch of random people.

One of the plants is budding nicely, I think the seeds were mixed as one is small and theres still two plants that aren't budding yet, other than that plants seem to be growing well, the plant that's budding smells Diesely/Sour with a bit of citrus [Not classing the growdiary as flowering yet as only one of the plants is flowering at the moment] I've also added some rope to some of the branches to pull them towards the ground and further into the light, will update with pictures when I next go water them The training seems to be having an effect already and some of the trained branches are growing upwards now

More supercropping as she still is growing, but mostly just buds stacking. Great sweet scent starting to overwhelm my house even with exhaust fans and filter. I would like this grow to end as she is monopolizing my tent and time. Kind of tough to appreciate as I can hardly see the back of the plant.

This Spring I was asking @James from RQS, wich recommendations he can give for Good Outdoor Performer in my Country. ( Northern Europe) Because most of the Year i have to Harvest earlier due bad Weatherconditions. Because in 3rd .of September, weather changes, and big Rain begins He recommended me Honey Cream and Speedy Chile So I started Grows with this Strains And its a Superstrain!! for my Conditions, That means they get ready in Time, before everything gets worse Great growing Strain, very big and stable Branches, .........When they started Flowering they go in Overdrive The Result is a wonderful strong Plant, filled on and on with Buds Today we harvested The Lady in the 75l Growpot On Sunday the Lady into the ground, gets Harvested We made some Photoshooting and Videos to show her Beauty, but its nearly impossible To catch her in Pictures but we tried Luckyly ii nvented in a wet trimming machine, and the Lady was cut down in short Time, and gave us a good Number ( i have no cluehow much,,,Iam guessing for 300 g) Sunday October 4th Second Honey Cream was Harvested, She had agood shot Of Purple due Cold nights. She was so fresh , when I took of the Bif Leaves, they made asmacking Sound Plant Number 2 was sitting in The Ground, I started fertilising her late( 2 weeks before Harvest), but not tooo Late She nearly catched up , in Budbuiding her Sister. It's a nice change of pace to have these warmer temperatures, even if it's not quite spring yet. Low 40s during the day is a lot more comfortable than what we've been dealing with lately. Hopefully, this is a sign that spring's around the corner. My Skunk Apple plant sounds like it's finally getting on track. After a rough start, it's good to hear things are looking decent. Hopefully, it'll keep looking better and better.

D54 (14/01/2021): First day for week 4 of bloom. I gave them tap water cause last time the PPM run off was a bit high. The PPM run off for Banana Kush today was higher then the run off for Glue Gelato. It's not the first time I see that so I think I can say that Glue Gelato uptake more nutrients compared to Banana Kush. If it become a problem I might consider doing two separate nutrients mix. - temp: 24-27C light ON ; 21-23C light OFF - water: PH6.7, 128 PPM approx. 4L per plant - run off: PH7 and 830PPM for Glue Gelato ; PH6.9 and 1220 PPM for Banana Kush - RH: 55% for light ON and OFF D55 (15/01/2021): I saw some brownish spots on small leaves for Glue Gelato. Last feed, Glue Gelato was the one with the lower PPM run off. I think the brown spots are due to calcium deficiency. Glue Gelato is an heavy feeder, I might give a good dose of nutrients next feed. Glue Gelato PH of the run off was on the high acceptable range. So it might also be a nutrient lock due to inappropriate soil PH. I need to check that closely... - temp: 24-27 C light ON ; 21-23C light OFF - no water - RH: 54% light ON ; 50-52% light OFF D56 (16/01/2021): I fed with 3/4 of the recommended dose for mid late flower. Run off for Banana Kush is still high. I will see how she react but so far she's the one who look the healthier! Maybe she doesn't mind having a ''hot'' soil. It's been 3-4 weeks since I did check the accuracy of my PH meter. I checked yesterday and I was off of PH0.4 (reading higher that it was suppose to be). I have a cheap PH pen so I need to check that often. Maybe the little brownish spot on Glue Gelato is due to incorrect PH in water or soil over the last week. - temp: 24-27C light ON ; 21-22C light OFF - water: PH6.2, 913 PPM less then a gallon per plant - run off: PH6.7 and 1200PPM for Glue Gelato ; PH6.8 and 1700 PPM for Banana Kush - RH: 53% light ON ; 51-52% light OFF D57 (17/01/2021): There's sing of nutrient burn on Banana Kush. It was expected. I consider doing a flush for this gal. - temp: 24-26C light ON ; 21-23C light OFF - no water - RH: 54% light ON ; 57% light OFF D58 (18/01/2021): I mixed 1/2 of the recommended dose of Max Minerals. I flushed the Banana Kush until the run off passed below 1000 PPM. I did not flush the Glue Gelato since there is no sing of nutrient burn. They don't smell that much. When I open the tent, there is a weak smell but when I play with the leaves or shake the stems now I can smell them properly. Glue Gelato have a strong pine-citrus-fruity pungent smell and Banana Kush have a smooth tropical-fruity-candy smell. Both smell soooo good and the buds are starting to look really appealing 😍😋 - temp: 24-26C light ON ; 21-22C light OFF - water: PH6.3, 325 PPM - run off: PH6.9 and 1010PPM for Glue Gelato ; PH6.9 and 920 PPM for Banana Kush - RH: 55% light ON ; 51-52% light OFF D59 (19/01/2021): After 12 days of not removing any leaves today I did removed approx. 20 leaves on each plant. From now on I will continue to remove the leaves that are blocking bud site from having enough light. - temp: 23-25C light ON ; 20-21 light OFF - no water - RH: 53-54% light ON ; 54-55% light OFF D60 (20/01/2021): I gave full recommended dose of Max Minerals, half of the recommended dose of Max Grow and 3/4 of the recommended dose of Max Bud. All base on the recommended dose of nutrients for mid late flower. I was aiming for a lower PPM level then last Banana Kush run off. I dropped de lamp of 1 inch height to be around 13-14 inches from canopy. - temp: 23-25C light ON ; 21-22C light OFF - water: PH6.0 , 775 PPM - run off: PH6.7 and 1200PPM for Glue Gelato ; PH6.6 and 1060 PPM for Banana Kush - RH: 51-52% light ON ; 45-49% light OFF

Se puede apreciar el cambio a macetas independientes (11lts las dos más vigorosas y la tercera, en una de 5lts). La tercera la tenía en medio de las otras plantas, ya que al estar en una maceta más pequeña, traté de acomodarla a modo de que recibiera más lúmenes (no se logra apreciar en la foto). Como decía anteriormente, no poseo muchos archivos sobre éstas sepas. Y lo que tengo, está enfocado en las otras especies que estaba cultivando. Ojalá sea de su agrado.

There is so much to discuss ! I have been extremely busy as of late trying to get this Harvest together, but i am happy to have it here for you now ! I Seriously under estimated the amount of time, help from others, and my own necessary skills to pull this off.. and i still kind of screwed it up lol ! But its worth noting i have never actually done this before and trying to document it during....was extremely hard. It is next to impossible to work an iPhone with rubber gloves on ! First I want to discuss everything step by step so before you jump straight into the comments on how the end product is so small in "quantity" Rest assured i am happy with its"quality"...and thats all that matters to me because Life is a journey not a destination! and i have learned so much from this grow that I couldn't be any happy even if i messed some things up :) But at the very least I hope you read through this entry in its entirety with an open mind and focus more on the process, rather than just the outcome! I ran out of Ice & i was only able to wash three times..(normally I've heard you should go sometimes 5-6 washes) Preparation is Key & things will be much better next round :) Photos 1-22 These are pretty self explanatory but for those of you just tuning in now.. this is what happens to a very happy plant when you don't have the necessary tools to monitor key components of growing cannabis.. Ph, as well as EC levels play a very key role in the outcome of your grow lol that being said I was just able to save this plant by purchasing both tools but that doesn't mean the plant didn't suffer because of the prior events.. This was a Huge reason behind me choosing to turn this harvest into what i would consider "Solventless Hash Rosin" from "Ice water extracted Bubble hash". Pictures 23 The idea here is the process of using "fresh Frozen Cannabis" this has been discussed many a time online on such sites as instagram and here on grow diaries as well.. I personally have Never tried the process so i decided to try it out and make a judgement for myself.. Video 24 The Cannabis has now been in the freezer for 72 hours making it very well frozen.. as you can tell i struggled getting it all into the 25u Screen Wash Bag. One thing of note i would do differently is i will de-stem my next batch as i also believe this played a part in the amount of plant matter that escaped through the sieves. Photo/Video's 25-28 The idea here is "ice water Seiving" & especially with the bags that I am using here that are only have screen material on the bottom portion of the bag it is very important to have spaces in-between the screens to allow the water to pass directly through the screens into the bottom bucket with the least amount of resistance.. because the hash is so extremely temperature dependant if it gets warm on the side of the bag.. it will stick there and not make it to the bottom to become use able product.. 29 You do not need to use as much Ice as i used here lol... the idea is to keep everything very cold..i certainly achieved that but at the sacrifice of using so much that i ended up grinding product and producing "contaminants" but in the end they are just plant matter that i would be smoking when i rolled up my joint either way so.. I'm not super disappointed.. But it should be noted that what you want to achieve here is a Layering effect where you have the wash bag between two small layers of ice while the "water current" washes the Trichomes away allowing them to be separated by the screens setup below :) Before Starting the machine you should allow some time (i.e.;10-12minutes pre soak to allow the product to become saturated) before the first cycle. By video 32 I have just ran out of ice lol.. Video 33-34 Here I have a tip for you.. to separate the screens that you sieve through.. cut 5 gallon buckets to stretch them across nice and tight.. it'll make scooping your Bubble that much easier ! i learned this from the many "Frenchy" videos I have watched :) Picture 35 Here in lays the problem for most people.. drying your hash without loosing vast amounts of "Terpenes" whilst also stay ever vigilant against mold ! Thanks to all those videos I've watched on youtube.. id like to think this was one of my most successful parts of this process.. Things to Note; Terpenes start to seriously evaporate at temperatures 68F or 20C you need to stay as cold as possible whilst bringing the Relative Humidity in the space down into the 40-30% to stay away from that nasty mold ! I used my cold storage room in the basement.. with a dehumidifier running to keep the space at 45% RH & staying at a constant 15c. All while spreading the hash as thin as possible across parchment paper, on top of the white screens with a fan moving air across both sides of the paper. Pictures 36-38 These are some macros i took in the middle of my drying session I fell in love with the colour. Yes i know the black spots are plant material but they will get caught when i bag the hash & squish the oil out. Thing to Note; at this stage it is important to ensure you 'micro plane" the hash down as fine as you can whilst staying weary of the temperature... any "chunks" will hold pockets of moisture.. that lead to potential problems..ie; mold ... Picture/Video 39-41 Successfully planed bubble hash ready to be bagged and Squished ! Picture 42 Ive decided to follow Pedro.. from Pedros Grow Room and double bag to be on the safe side so i don't have any blow outs. So thats One 25u bag inside one 160u bag ! :) Pictures 43 This is almost 3 grams of the bubble hash from above, already melting in the bag.. this is where i ran into trouble again lol things started getting to warm in the house and i was only able to get one of the three squish's i did on video :( things started getting sticky. Picture 44 This is basically just a photo of the equipment I'm using; 3x5 LowTemp Cage in the frame I built myself, with a 20Ton bottle jack. Something to note here is this is an older Lowtemp model with only a single heating zone which is which i have it closed here heating Both sides of the press :) As well as the importance of having adequate pressure on your plates.. my rig is very overkill for the size of hash bags..lol Video 45 Here is the lovely press video.. its didn't quite work the way i wanted either lol my directional folding wasn't quite tight enough for a big "drip" :) &the Press was set to 65°c Photo's 46-50 are pretty self explanatory :) I had a blow out.. but still managed to pull an 80% return from the hash once squished...& yes it tasted amazing :) Was it worth it in the end... that could be debated.. for some..i understand..its not your thing, but for those of us that are interested in making our own concentrates.. free from Solvents... I wouldn't make it any other way :) If even ONE of you reading this diary finds it helpful to reference for ANYTHING.....even if its "what not to do" ill consider it a success ! Llevan solo agua toda la semana. Por supuesto el ph se mide en cada riego y se mantiene en 6.2 y riego en intervalos de 48h. La temperatura está entorno al 22/24 grados y la humedad anda sobre el 50%. La verdad para ser autos es que me han hasta sorprendido , buena estructura, resistentes , fáciles, huelen fuerte y están llenas de resina. Qué más puedo pedir?
