Everything good must come to an end, my friends.
After inspecting the trichomes with my microscope, I found more than 50% amber trichomes. That's my sign to pull out the axe.
The weather forecast for next week is also showing some rain. This is the first grow where I've made it through the entire season without any serious mold problems, and I definitely don't want to risk that now, so it's time to harvest.
Conditions
Although temperatures reached almost 40Β°C at times, the girls took it like champs. Overall, this grow has been almost completely trouble-free, apart from finding a few aphids hiding between some of the buds towards the end.
These genetics have proven to be incredibly resilient and seem to forgive even some pretty harsh conditions.
What Did I Learn?
This was my first time using Plagron Bat Mix instead of Biobizz All-Mix, and I'm very happy with the results.
In my opinion, the girls showed noticeably stronger growth, especially during the vegetative phase. I think I'll definitely use Bat Mix again next year.
After exactly six weeks, which is roughly what Plagron states for the nutrient charge of the soil, the available nutrients seemed to be running low and I started feeding with T.A. TriPart. For the final two weeks, I switched to T.A. FinalPart.
Unfortunately, I had one small setback during my vacation week when the girls went without nutrients for too long. I'm sure that cost me some yield, and without that mistake the plants would probably have performed even better.
But that's part of growing. You learn from your mistakes.

Ms Grapes an Cream from Atlas seeds is comming in amazing on week 4 of veg she is still the biggest she's growing great after being topped thinking about topping her again have had no problems with her she's growing more every day under the medic grow fold 6
Ending week 4 this girl continues to amaze me with how vigorous she's been growing she's been topped a couple times now an really thinking about giving her another one she's been growing so great with these nutrients from cultured biologix

The plants are ready to be chopped and hung for 3-5 days. I removed all the fans leaves and left them all branches on the main stem. The ladies smell so strong I can wait to see how they turn out when they are dried and cured.
1) I plan to hang them for 3-5 days @ 71 f and 50-55 RH,
2) Do a final tight trim
3) Than I will move them to jars and cure for 2-3 weeks
I will update the diary with harvest pictures & weight before I move them to the jars for curing.
I think the seeds might have got mixed up when packing because these three plants were all supposed to be the same and you can clearly tell from the pictures that they are not.

day 15: flowers start to appear

At Breadandbuds we have never underestimated F1s and here we have a great example of why: Do Si Dos F1 Hybrid Automatic.
We have two plants that you can find compared at the end of the photo gallery of this diary, one left to grow straight that will be harvested tonight and you can find described in this diary and the other worked with a mainiling that made it bonsai style that will be harvested in about 10 days.
THIS IS THE HARVEST DAY FOR PLANT 1 the one not worked with techniques.
The characteristic of F1 plants small and fast flowering (on average) is found in this strain grown in winter ()
I'm sure that in autumn I can do something bigger) They are both very beautiful, resinous and fast, the one worked with the techniques has the natural delay due precisely to this type of work.
This plant collected in particular has a height anot very great but it really has all the little things in their place we really want to taste it as soon as possible.
It was all in an intensive flush, we both arrived a little too full and so we planted with the basic fi fertilizers girls.

started this week of with a nutrients change and topping the the two dwc buckets again. ill keep lst to keep all my nodes down and canopy even before i flip to flower in next week or two.....
Been going well this week shes drinking alot of water!! All the tops have come back nicely going to make net for flower tommorow

Week 2
What up grow fam weekly update on these three. This week has been fun seeing the first leafs getting bigger. I started adding some GH Calimagic to my feed. I'm feeding 500ml of PH'd well water and .25 tsp/gal of some calmag about every other day. Started also my preventive maintenance of sparying PureCrop1 every Monday as the plants seem to respond well and keeps the pest away. All in all Happy Growing

The guys and gals over at the fastbuds team have created some great strains. This plant was super Hardy and took a beating with the weather that we have been having outdoors this year .She was Hardy against most things except the cold that just stopped her growth in its tracks and made the tricohmes frost up pretty fast . I love the colour in the plant and would like to try this again outdoors in cold and summer . I would highly recommend fastbuds to anyone great company and customer service ...cheers canna family and follow along for my next grows also hit my IG account @cannibal19888

π€π± Some explosive growth this week! Everyone is now getting (super) mild nutrients with every watering, color looks uniform and the tops are of equal length ...first sign of bud sites are appeared this week, I hope we get a little more stretch out of her before she goes hard into flower ...I think she's a pretty good size for her age but a long way away from utilizing the 5gal pot she's sitting in...I think the heat might getting to her a little bit, it doesn't seem to be affecting growth (yet )but a few of the leaves are slightly curved as if they want to "taco" but aren't quite there yet..its been a crazy week shuffling 50+ solo cups between 3 tents but we were able to unload most of them and reclaim some of our space, all 3 420FastBud autos are in their final location, all will finish flower under a single 315watt CMH on an 18hr cycle...not too much else to report, thanks as always for dropping by and happy harvests everyone!!

I SOAKED THE SEEDS IN A CUP OF WATER, WITH A DASH OF HYDROGEN PEROXIDE, FOR 24 HRS.
I THEN DUMPED THEM ON A PLATE BETWEEN PAPERTOWLS, AND ANOTHER PLATE(NOT TOO SOAKED-MAKE ROOM FOR AIR)
UNDERNEATH I PLACED A HEATING PAD UNDER THE PLATE, FOR 24 HRS, TIIL THEY POP AND ROOT TAIL IS QUARTER TO HALF AN INCH
FROM THERE I PLACED THEM IN PRE-SOAKED JIFFY PELLETS, AND PLACED THEM IN A GERMINATION KIT/WITH LID DOME.
I DEFINETLY MESSED UP BY KEEPING THEM TOO MOIST. AND HAD TO TREAT THEM WITH A HYDROGEN PEROXIDE(3%)DELUTED WITH WATER, UNDER AND TOPPED.
THEY ARE 10 DAYS NOW, I BEEN TRYNA HARDEN THEM OFF, PLAN ON TRASNFERING THEM TO THE SYSTEM. WISH ME LUCK

This is probably the final week of the full tent shots, these were taken a few days ago and at this point there is only 8 plants that have not yet been harvested. I learned a lot this run, tried some new shit, grew out my own crosses, dialed things in by getting rid of the light leaks and adding the heater so it was a success. The new lights out performed my expectation and the leaf strip might become a staple in my garden. The leaf strip made me nervous I wasn't sure how it would turn out but all of my buds are noticeably larger, the lowers are filled out and as dense as the tops and it saved space, water and nutrients. The lights could have contriuted to the larger buds but the other things made it well worth it. I have been vegging out the next run for a while trying to keep them from growing too much in 1/2 gal bags so there should be some interesting plants there stay tuned.
* My 2 MC1 X;s have been harvested and are in the dry tent now, one came out pretty ugly but smells unbelievablely strong of citrus. The black leafed one is a looker but doesn't have the yield factor. I thought I took cuts of these but turns out I did not so these 2 will be one and done, maybe down the road I will dip back into them but going forward I will be hitting any cuts that stand out to me with my reversed MC2 pollen and maybe give some away. But that won't be for a while.

The harvest was a bit improvised. I pre-dried them outside under a sun screen (not choped yet) for 3 days at 30Β°C and 45% humidity. Then chopped only the buds and dried indoors for another 4d at 25Β°C and 62% humidity. Not ideal, they probably lost some terpenes. But no other way to do it at the time. Now they are curing at a stable 62% humidity. The grassy smell slowly disappears. Still, the aroma is not great. When I press the buds a mix of lime and pine is released but the ouside smells just like old, overdried herbs. It's my first time curing. So I dont know what to expect or if it will get better? Let's see.
Dry bud weight was 75g. We are only legally allowed 50g dry so I had to destroy a bit. Buds are medium sticky and slightly airy but good overall.
The strain was low maintenance and grew quite large. Only had to cut a couple spots (1x mildew, 1x bud rot). However, it was not purple as advertised. Checking back with Dutch Pasion, they are not aware of a non-purple pheno. I compared with pictures from its parents and it looks a lot like the Forbidden Fruit. I assume it got most of their genetics.

18/11/24 Monday
It's her last day today of light, no more watering. She will then enter 48 HR dark period. Her trichomes have reached a nice amount of amber's, and flooded with cloudy trichomes... The end is so close π€€ππ
The smell is intoxicating, sweet pungent guava fruity smell. It's amazing. Seeing her colours fade out on the fans is like watching a sunset.
Deep oranges radiating against her red veins, with purple and violet tipped buds, engulfed in trichomes and orange pistils, but she holds a deep dark green underneath in the core of the buds.
She is a menace to look at ππ
It's been fun to grow this, and I won't lie, trouble free. Easy with nites she took what I gave, next time around I'll be lollipoping a shit load more to encourage them fatter tops πͺπ

She entered her dark period at 5am this morning. She is still relatively moist so the next 48 hours should be fine to dry off in the dark too.
Noticed a couple more mildew spots on leaves, removed these now. Don't want it wasted in the last 2 days π€¦ββοΈπ

21/11/24 Thursday
Its finally time π!!
She has had 48 hrs of dark and more mildew started to set in so thank goodness I chopped her today!!
Have not had time to weigh her yet, but wet trim, and deeper wet trim of sugar leaves affected with mildew have been removed.
She is now hanging in tent to dry, with heat mat, and extraction on low. Humidity is 66% and 18'c.
Her colours have deepened and her aroma is potent!!
Strong sweet floral smell , similar to the perfume π
Uploaded pics and a short vid of before the chop. Will update harvest tomorrow with wet weigh.
