💙 8×8 Adventure – Week 12 🌿 Blueberry Muffin – Pheno A 📸 No Private Photos This Week… But She's Still Shining Hello everyone, and welcome back to another chapter of the 8×8 Adventure! 🌱💚 And... I have to start this update with a confession. 😂📸 I didn't take individual photos of Blueberry Muffin Pheno A this week. There. I said it. My bad. 😂💚 I photographed her sister. I photographed the room. I have video showing the whole garden evolving. But somehow... this little lady escaped the camera this week. And I know. I know. She deserves better. 😂 So next week? She's getting her own proper photo session. Absolutely. But even without her individual gallery this week, I can still tell you exactly what I'm seeing. And what I'm seeing is... a beautiful little plant. Compact. Very compact. Actually... she could hardly be much smaller. 😂💚 She's continuing to do exactly what she has always done. Growing. Developing. Flowering. Staying compact. And quietly becoming more interesting every week. So although I don't have her personal photo gallery this time... I'm absolutely not going to let her disappear from the story. This girl deserves her spotlight. And we're going to give it to her. ──────────────────────── 🌱 The 8×8 Adventure — Same Room, Different Stories For anyone discovering this diary for the first time, welcome to the 8×8 Adventure. The concept behind this project is simple: Twelve different plants. Different genetics. Different phenotypes. One shared room. One general environmental strategy. One 12/12 lighting schedule. One irrigation philosophy. One nutritional program. One lighting ecosystem. One grower. And yet... twelve very different expressions. Some plants stretch. Some spread. Some become enormous. Some stay compact. Some build long branches. Some build dense clusters. And then there is Blueberry Muffin Pheno A. 😂💚 She's compact. Very compact. She's basically looked at the available space and decided: "No thanks. I'll keep it small." 😂 And honestly? I'm fascinated to see what she eventually produces from such a small framework. Because that's one of the questions this phenotype has been giving us from the beginning. How much can this little plant actually do? ──────────────────────── 💚 The Little One Keeps Doing Her Thing And that's really the story this week. She keeps doing her thing. No drama. No major intervention. No big structural changes. No need for me to jump in and try to redesign her. She's simply continuing forward. And that's something I've come to appreciate more and more as this run progresses. Not every week needs to be dramatic. Not every update needs to contain a major event. Sometimes the plant simply grows. And that's enough. Blueberry Muffin Pheno A is doing exactly that. She's continuing to develop within her compact little structure. She's maintaining her place in the room. She's continuing her flowering journey. And she's doing it quietly. Just as we've come to expect from her. ──────────────────────── 🌿 Could She Be Any Smaller? Honestly... look at this girl in the context of the room. 😂💚 She's tiny. She's compact. She's one of those plants where you almost have to remind yourself that she's still a full flowering plant sitting in a 15 L pot. And that's what makes her so interesting. She could hardly be much smaller. She's not trying to occupy every available centimetre. She's not reaching for the ceiling. She's not building some enormous structure. She's simply using the little framework she has. And now I am genuinely curious about what that means for her final production. Because that's the great unknown. We know she's small. We know she's beautiful. We know she's flowering. But how much can this little plant ultimately produce? That's something we're going to have to discover. And honestly? I'm really curious. ──────────────────────── 🔬 Small Frame. Big Question. This is another reason I love phenotype hunting. Sometimes the interesting question isn't: "How big is she?" It's: "What can she do with what she's got?" Blueberry Muffin Pheno A doesn't have a huge framework. She doesn't have a massive canopy. She doesn't occupy a huge amount of space. But she's still building flowers. She's still developing. She's still participating fully in this experiment. And that's what makes her worth following. The two additional Black Series 600W fixtures remain part of the room's lighting ecosystem. After the initial increase in PPFD, we reduced the output to approximately 59% from the plug. We're working around: ☀️ ~1,500 PPFD across the upper canopy with the actual intensity naturally changing throughout the canopy depending on plant height and position. And Blueberry Muffin? She's still doing her thing under all those photons. She's not suddenly stretching. She's not suddenly changing her personality. She's simply continuing to develop within the compact architecture she's established. Same photons. Same room. Different plant. Different expression. That's the 8×8 Adventure. ──────────────────────── 🌸 The Room Is Changing — And She's Part of It Even though I didn't get individual photographs of her this week, I did get photographs and video of the room. And honestly... the room is beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. 🌿💚🌸 When you step back and look at the entire 8×8, you can really appreciate how much everything has changed. These plants are no longer the little seedlings we started with. They're established flowering plants. They're developing their individual personalities. They're filling their spaces. They're becoming increasingly mature. And Blueberry Muffin Pheno A is right there among them. Small. Compact. Quiet. But definitely part of the picture. And sometimes seeing the whole room gives you a perspective that an individual photograph can't. You can see how different the plants are. You can see the different heights. The different structures. The different flower formations. And right there... our little Blueberry Muffin. Doing exactly what Blueberry Muffin does. 😂💚 ──────────────────────── 📹 The Video Helps Tell Her Story This is where the video comes in. Even though I missed her individual photo session, the room footage gives us another way to see her. You can watch the plants moving through this stage together. You can see the overall evolution. You can see how the canopy has developed. And you can see Blueberry Muffin Pheno A sitting there in her little compact world. Sometimes a moving image tells you something different from a still photograph. The whole room becomes part of the story. And that's particularly useful in a project like this. Because this isn't just twelve individual plants. It's twelve individual plants sharing one environment.
