Folder 11A – Pink Rozay Auto Week 4 | The Early Bloomer Welcome back to The 8×8 Adventure, where twelve unique cultivars are sharing the same environment, the same feeding schedule and the same lighting, allowing each genetic to reveal its own personality under identical conditions. One of the reasons I decided to document every plant individually is because genetics rarely follow the same script. Even sisters growing side by side can surprise us with different growth patterns, different structures and different flowering speeds. Pink Rozay Auto A is becoming a perfect example of that. While most of the room is only beginning to transition into bloom, she has already decided it’s time to get to work. White pistils are appearing across the entire canopy, flower sites are multiplying every day and she’s beginning to separate herself from the rest of the garden. Whether she’ll stay ahead until harvest or simply had an early start… only time will tell. ⸻ 🌱 A Compact Plant With Big Ambitions Pink Rozay Auto A isn’t the largest lady inside the 8×8 room, but she doesn’t seem interested in competing for height. Instead, she’s investing her energy into building a wide, balanced canopy with excellent branch development. Every branch has its own place, creating an open structure that should allow plenty of light to reach future flowering sites. Sometimes a plant doesn’t need to be the tallest to become one of the most productive. Looking from above, the architecture is becoming increasingly symmetrical, giving every developing cola plenty of space to breathe and grow. ⸻ 🌿 Low Stress Training Doing Exactly What It Should Throughout her vegetative stage I’ve continued working with gentle Low Stress Training, carefully guiding branches outward rather than forcing dramatic bends. Large fan leaves have been tucked away whenever necessary, opening windows for light to reach lower shoots without removing valuable foliage too early. The goal has never been to fight the plant’s natural growth. Instead, it’s simply to encourage a flatter, wider canopy where every branch has an opportunity to become a productive flowering site. So far, Pink Rozay has responded beautifully, maintaining excellent vigour while opening up more every day. ⸻ 🌸 Leading the Race Into Flower This week’s biggest surprise is how quickly she’s embracing the flowering transition. While several plants throughout the room are only beginning to show their first pistils, Pink Rozay Auto A already displays clusters of fresh white hairs across nearly every growing tip. She seems eager to leave vegetation behind and begin building flowers. Whether this means she’ll ultimately finish ahead of the others or whether the rest of the room will soon catch up is one of the questions I’m most excited to answer over the coming weeks. That’s one of my favourite parts of growing multiple cultivars together—every plant writes its own story. ⸻ 🌡️ Environment Despite the warmer summer weather outside, the room continues providing stable conditions for all twelve cultivars. Environment • 🌡️ Day Temperature: 33°C • 🌙 Night Temperature: 25°C • 💧 Relative Humidity: 63% • ? Substrate Temperature: 21°C • 💦 Nutrient Solution Temperature: 26°C • ⚗️ pH: 6.1 • ⚡ EC: 1.35 mS/cm • ☁️ CO₂: 639 ppm • 💧 Water Consumption: 1.1 litres per plant per day Even under these warm daytime temperatures, Pink Rozay continues producing healthy foliage, vibrant new growth and excellent flower initiation without showing signs of stress. ⸻ Feeding Programme As the plant begins transitioning into bloom, the feeding programme remains focused on maintaining healthy vegetative growth while supporting the first stages of flower production. Per litre • Terra Grow — 1.8 ml • Power Roots — 1 ml • Pure Zym — 1 ml • Sugar Royal — 1 ml Adjusted with: • pH Plus — 0.03 ml • Lemon Kick — 0.03 ml The Plagron programme continues delivering a stable root zone, vigorous growth and healthy development while allowing the plant to naturally progress into the flowering phase. ⸻ 💡 Lighting The entire 8×8 Adventure continues thriving beneath the incredible Future of Grow LED fixtures. Uniform light distribution across the room allows every cultivar to receive the same opportunity to perform, making it fascinating to watch how different genetics express themselves under identical conditions. Pink Rozay Auto A is already showing that genetics often dictate timing just as much as environment. ⸻ 👀 Looking Ahead Week four closes with Pink Rozay Auto A looking healthy, balanced and full of promise. She’s still a relatively compact plant, but her canopy has opened beautifully through gentle training, and her early flowering response suggests she may become one of the first cultivars in the room to fully enter bloom. I’m especially curious to see whether she’ll continue leading the race or whether the rest of the garden will soon catch up. D64. We're at the start of the fourth week of flower, and today was a busy day. First, I had to remove the old lights before swapping in the light from my auto tent. All while trying to avoid trashing the plants in the way too full tent. Not an easy task. The entire mission, with changing the light in the auto tent as well, took a couple of hours. I wish I could keep the Greenception lights in the tent as they're high-quality lights, but the Kingbrite has a much lower profile and thus takes up much less space. Space that I desperately need considering how insanely much these girls stretched. One of the tops on the second girl has unfortunately already been bunt by being too close to the light, and I'm sure I will run into light bleaching and probably foxtailing as the grow progress, but I hope I will be able to pull it off with the Kingbrite light. I also added some wire support to the branches that I super-cropped, as they looked somewhat sad after all the abuse to the canopy while swapping the lights. ------------------------------ D66. It looks like the girls have FINALLY stopped stretching. Phew! Yesterday, I gave each girl 2.5 liters of water @ pH 6.2 with humic acid and EM-1. Today, the green lacewing larvae (Chrysoperla Carnea) arrived, and I dispersed them in the tent to deal with the thrips. ------------------------------ D68. All is well in the tent, but now when the thrips are (hopefully) under control, it's time to address the VPD. It has gotten seriously out of wack due to dropping temps, plus I increased the humidity to make the environment more inhospitable for the thrips. The temps were low due to the light change as the new one is running a lot cooler, but the temps have also dropped outside. The heating in the lungroom has been off until now, so I turned that on and lowered the humidity threshold on my exhaust fan. Finally, I put my small humidifier in the tent, generating extra heat and decreasing the humidity. So far, the VPD has increased from a terrible 0.4-0.5 to an acceptable 0.9, and I'm hoping it will increase further as the ambient RH drops as we move into winter. ------------------------------ D70. We're at the end of the fourth week of flower, and all is well in the tent. The VPD has gone up to 1.0, which is a nice improvement to what it was only a couple of days ago. I haven't scouted yet for thrips, but I will give the lacewings a couple of days to do their thing and then look closer. However, I went to WAR against the spider mites we have in our ornamental plants in the apartment. I sprayed all plants with my homemade pesticide (capsaicin, alcohol, horticultural soap.) since I had it at hand. If that fails to knock the spider mites back, I'll bring out the neem oil instead. The infestations aren't bad (yet), but it would suck to get mites into my tents, so better to be proactive. ------------------------------

She is exactly 3 weeks old, its already time for her to start some trainings ^^ let’s see how she will react. humidity still remains as a problem

Some of the leaves are yellow/ brown. Did a bit of research, looks like soil might be dry (especially due to high temps during this time of year) and possibly leaves being burnt by sun. Watering with a little bit more volumes of water, based on extra heat. Will track and see how week goes. The 2 bad fan leaves which looked really bad, I cut them off. Increase in volume of water for plants really helped due to really hot temperatures. Week 10 no nutrients (only used on 1st day and 2nd day of week 10) , just straight water.

Started their flush this week, hairs are starting to go almost all red on 2 of the 4, 3rd one is starting to turn as well but the 4th largest one that seems to be behind the others is still way behind. I think she got stressed at the wrong time when I broke one of her main branches at the beginning of flowering. But the other 3 are packing it on and really starting to fatten up. Lots of bud sites now with decent nugs. Tricombs are still a week at least out from being full cloudy I believe, but we will see. Guessing we gonna get a 1.5-2 week flush maybe before there ready. Should really ripen up these buds. Still thinking we are gonna push them 60 days at least. Well that’s about it for this week, Cheers! 💨

17 Jan - 23 Jan 19 Jan Kush del Arriero: Looking good in color and size, planning to flush next week, hope those possible nanners don't develop enough, not removing due to harvest time being so close and this one being the one that will probably give me the best yield. Some buds and leaves getting purple colors. Choco Cookie: Still very small, hope they grow a little more before harvest. Some buds and leaves getting purple colors. Banana Cake: Small buds, decent trichomes. I hope that KDA won't cause much trouble to the other two plants, I hope I'm wrong about the nanners... Keeping my plans, finish with nutrients this Sunday and flushing for 7-14 days after that. I'll add a few more pics later today. Sat 22 Yesterday a friend with more experience in these things took a look at my plants, he seemed impressed by what I've accomplished on my first grow so far. He also confirmed that the weird things on the KDA buds aren't nanners... phew ! He also confirmed my plans for flushing tomorrow are good.

4/27/2024 Flower Week 10 Day 1- Water Change Day!!!! Still about a week out.. but her grow sister is ready.. I setup the Dry tent, and I have moved everything in the Cannatrol so I have room for 2.2lbs wet in the cannatrol and everything else will be hanging.. I have my AC unit in the tent, I have my Dehumidifier's setup and I have my fans. I have one more fan that will be delivered tomorrow and I needed one more Carbon filter and inline fan and that will be here tomorrow as well. As soon as they get in I will go ahead and check one more time on the Trichomes of her grow sister and as long as she is where I want her to be. My Dry tent temp will be 70 and my RH will be 55. Timber...... Her grow sister was just ready and it giver her more space and light to herself.. 5/03/2024 Flower Week 10 Day 7- Didn't do anything today but get a few pics.. She is already starting to darken up on the side that her grow sister was on that didn't get much light. Since I took down her sister yesterday I have 4 days until I can take her down.. I will need to move the flower once dry from the cannatrol and put that in an auto cure tub and then put in a fresh 2.2lbs of wet from this harvest. Excited..

Day 50. Tallest Kush chopped by breeders recommendations, but in my conditions like a week at least away. Had max 20% milky, most clear, plant suffered some deficiency and was faiding slowly, still. Instead of Christmas flowers - 5 colas surprised my friends, colours and crystals are amazing. She was watered last 4 rounds with water and i will compare taste and effect , but i think it's a loosing tactics - such early crop. Not more than 40 expected from what left ;))) 5 out of 17 colas was taken away. I will add a third of weight, for real feel in totals. Day 67. After 24 hours of darkness all girls are chopped. Will make review and update in a week or so.

Day 50 Flower (Day 92) Today is the first day of week eight of flower, and we're in overtime. According to the breeder, last week was supposed to be the final week of flower since this is a fast strain with Ruderalis in it, but the girls are still far from done. The right girl is still mostly clear, and the left girl has a bunch of fattening up to do before I'll even look at her trichomes. All I did today was to give the right girl 3 liters of pH 6.3 water. I did some bud photography as well, but I haven't processed those images yet. Day 51 Flower (Day 93) I'm starting to see a fade in some of the right girl leaves but nothing major yet. I gave her 3 liters of pH 6.1 water and called it a day. Tomorrow I have to hook up her drip irrigation system so I have a few days to tweak it before I'm off on vacation. Day 52 Flower (Day 94) Today, I finally got around to hooking up the drip irrigation system to the right girl. Setting it up was straightforward - put four drip emitters around the plant, run a hose from the emitters to a 120 l water barrel, connect the hose to a pump, set up how much water you want per day, done. For a long time, the right girl has been drinking 3 liters of water per day. One filling in my small 3-liter watering can. I figured, though, that I should first check if the can is 3 liters in the first place, so I filled it up and then measured how much water there was in it. It turns out that the can only contain 2.5 liters. Chinese quality... Anyway, no big deal when I've been hand-watering, but great to know now, as the system would have overwatered otherwise. I set up the system to irrigate 2.4 liters per day, slightly less than currently, but I think she will soon start to drink less as she matures and starts fading. In any case, I rather come home to a slightly thirsty plant than to one that has drowned. It's a bit clunky to use a timer-based drip system as it doesn't adapt to the plant. That's why I'm currently designing and building my own system, based on a Raspberry Pi, which irrigates based on moisture levels in the soil. The aim is to maintain the perfect soil moisture in each pot, no matter how much each girl drinks. This concept s precisely how a low-tech Blumat system work, and I even have one of those, but I can't use it for practical reasons, so I'm "stuck" at building my own hi-tech solution instead ;) The left girl in the small tent is just doing her thing, slowly fattening up. She is foxtailing hard, though, but I'm not surprised, considering all the stress she went through. No big deal, I'll turn those buds into a tincture instead. The flower that got burned a bit in my main tent is also foxtailing but way less. I also got delivered and installed a fire extinguisher ball in my small tent. Now each of the tents should be protected from accidental fire. I have to admit that the thought of leaving my tents up and running alone for a week makes me a wee bit nervous, so I'm taking the precautions I can. I never had any problems in the past, and I like to keep it that way. Day 53 Flower (Day 95) There isn't much to do this late in flower now when I don't even have to water anymore. Although, I am monitoring the soil moisture levels to ensure the irrigation systems work as they should. Today I also changed my Bluetooth Thermo/Hygrometers to WiFi versions since they allow me to remote monitor the tents when I'm off on vacation next week. They are currently showing the temps as high, but since I put them all the way up in the tent, it makes sense that it is hot up there. I will move them down to canopy level before I leave. I could also finalize our travel plans today after going back and forth, making plans, and changing them again for days. Next week, we're off to Iceland, where we will pick up a motorhome at the airport and then drive around as the wind and mood take us. We have been to Iceland before, but the place is so unique that we can't wait to return. It will be interesting (and a bit scary) to see how the girls will manage while I'm gone, but I believe that I've done enough to keep them safe and sound in my absence. A friend of mine can drop by our apartment and look at the girls should it be necessary, but I think they'll be alright. Day 54 Flower (Day 96) Last night, just before heading to bed, I checked the girls to ensure that the irrigation systems worked correctly. A good decision as there was a big puddle of water in the right girl's tent. Fuuuuuuu... So at 4 in the morning, I had to remove that water. Great. It turned out to be around 2.5 liters, and I guessed that the system wasn't working correctly by watering too much. Oh well, it was late, and I decided to deal with that the next day. When I opened the tent today, there was a new puddle even though I had turned off the system the night before. Huh??? I soon found the problem, though. Each drip emitter has a rubber membrane that keeps the emitter closed whenever the pump isn't running. That's in theory. In practice, however, the membrane doesn't close up properly, and water can flow through. I filled up my big 120-liter water barrel yesterday, which caused the water level to be above the level of the emitters. Considering the leaky emitters, we now had a water siphon system running, pulling water from the barrel and continuously dripping even though the pump wasn't running. Luckily I already had a low and squat 50-liter reservoir at hand, so I put the pump in that one instead, as it is lower than the emitters. That should solve that problem. I hope. (Yes, I know it is terrible with a white reservoir as it enables algae growth but it is all that I have right now and I'll throw a blanket over the reservoir before we leave.) However, from this experience, I decided to turn on the system for 24 hours, collect all water, and measure the exact amount. Honestly, I should have done that from the start already. Oh well, we live and learn. Anyway, I removed the system and taped it to the inside of a bucket, which collects the water, and tomorrow I'll measure it. Besides all this fun irrigation action, I didn't do anything else with the girls today. Day 55 Flower (Day 97) Things are looking better in the tent today. I left the irrigation system running for 24 hours, and there was no more siphoning happening after I switched to the lower water reservoir, so that's good. However, the system was still overwatering by half a liter. Not too bad on a daily basis, but as I'm gone for a week, I need it to perform better. I dialed it in by adding one more dripper but decreasing the frequency. I'm currently using five drip emitters, and they run for six minutes every 12 hours. I did three test runs (simulating a full 24 hours run cycle), and the average water volume is 2.43 liters per 24 hours. Spot on. Day 56 Flower (Day 98) The last day of the eighth week of flower, and everything is moving along nicely. A bit slow since the girls were supposed to be done already, but I'm in no real hurry. I'm off tomorrow for a week of vacation, and I hope I have taken all precautions to keep the girls safe and sound. They should be alright, but a friend will drop by in a few days to make sure. I haven't checked the trichomes in a few days, but that can wait until I return. All I did today was to check that the irrigation systems are running correctly. The cheap system for the small girl is a bit finicky to adjust, but the other system is running just fine now when I have the other water reservoir.

Growth Stage: Transition / Pre-Flower Environment: Temperature: ~25–26 °C Humidity: ~60–62 % RH Light intensity: increased to ~500 PPFD Watering / Feeding: Plants were watered with plain water + CalMag during this week. No base nutrients were added, as the focus was on keeping stress low during the transition into flowering. Observations: Week 3 marked the start of pre-flowering for both Apricot Autos. Apricot Auto #1 showed the first white pistils about one day after the Amnesia, clearly indicating the transition into flower. Growth looks stable, and the plant continues to improve compared to the earlier weeks. Apricot Auto #2 entered pre-flower about one day after #1. While still noticeably smaller and less developed, it also showed clear signs of flowering and continued growing steadily. The transition into flower felt slightly early for the Apricots, but the decision was made to let them run naturally without any intervention. Training / Work Done: No training or manipulation was done this week. The plants were left untouched to avoid unnecessary stress during the transition phase. Notes: Week 3 was mainly about observation and stability. Both Apricot Autos successfully entered pre-flower and are now preparing for the upcoming stretch and early flowering phase.

All plants are showing exemplary vigor, evidenced by their vibrant green color and the rapid upward orientation of new tops toward the light immediately following the procedures. The Bruce Banners are responding perfectly to topping and LST, maintaining strong leaf turgor and dynamically expanding their lateral branching in the 25L pots.

11/13 Started Super Cropping on Amy, Gina, and Rosa, Judy is just at her 4th node, so i reached the second node and twisted the stalk until I could feel the fiber break and then I bent the stalk in the direction that I will ultimately tie down in, not long enough yet to get to the edge of the pot. In an hour I checked on the girls and they were all back to normal. 11/14 Watered 500 mil 6.5 PH tied down Amy, Gina and Rosa, broke a leaf off of Amy while bending 11/15 Spritz with Yucca foliar spray reapplied LST girls are looking great really healthy and green 11/16 Reapplied LST and accidentally broke the main stem on Gina, decided to go ahead and top her since the break was at a node and impossible to tape, so I guess we are also testing topping as well as going Organic. Adjusted lights to 25 inches above Judy the shortest girl. Brewed up an Organic Tea using 1 Cup Nature's Living Soil Concentrate, 1 Cup EB Stone Earth Worm Casings, 1 Tablespoon Unsulphered Molasses, 1 Tablespoon Fish Meal with Kelp, let the tea brew for 18 hours. 11/17 Fed each girl 1 Liter of Compost Tea reapplied LST the thought is the plants are three weeks in the soil and are growing at a healthy pace (with the exception of Judy), I want to make sure they have enough food in the soil available to them now to take them to flower. Next week I will apply dry amendments and 2-8-8 fertilizer to be available that first week of flower. 11/18 Out of town so gave them a light spritz of Yucca before lights on and that's it. 11/19 Man one day without reapplying LST and it freaking shows!! I had to go to town and really work the stems back into shape, really started to figure out what I am actually trying to achieve with spreading the stems out to expose as many sites as possible and trying to get as even a canopy as possible. So at the end of it I had to Super Crop a few stems on Rosa that had grown a little too long, tied down the rest of her stems and tucked the large leaves as best as I could to get as many sites as possible exposed. Applied the same approach to Gina but since she was inadvertently topped little easier to do, also I can see since I fed them the Compost Tea Gina has bounced back from her chop and her leaves are upright and pointing to the light, the two new "main stems" are growing outward and are close to the Mesa that i am creating. Judy is the weird little runt with tight, tight nodes like she's hiding something.....Trudy Judy.....So I just bent her main down and moved the stems as best as I can, I would love to let her just do her thing but I also wanted to try ScrOG on this run but we'll see after next week. Amy, Amy, Amy my pouty princess I don't think she likes being shorter than Rosa because she's become almost shy, not as aggressive growth that she was showing before. Reapplied LST on her main and tucked leaves, also started defoliating some of the lower leaves off of her. I'm going to start plucking lower leaves off of all of the plants going forward to prepare them for the switch to flower. The girls are all showing their sex and I can safely say that they are all Ladies, I'm seeing pistils forming and sites starting to show. I soaked the ladies down with 1/4 tsp Nectar of the Gods Bloom Khaos and 16 oz PH 6.2 bottle. Checked back on them 3 hours later and all of their faces are pointing to the lights, the leaves look amazingly green with no noticeable deficiencies. The Ladybugs are going to town and I don't know what I'm more excited about the amazing growth of the girls or seeing a ladybug crawling on a leaf!

It seems that the girl is counting her last days, some of the trichomes are already showing an amber color, the buds look simply fantastic, it's a pity that I can't transfer that image with my phone - share that image with you, you need to see it live :) good luck to everyone:)
