This week, my cannabis plant is showing some signs of thirst. Unfortunately, I had to cut back on watering due to a small infestation of fungus gnats. To combat the problem, I decided to apply nematodes. Hopefully, they will take care of the larvae in the soil. Despite the reduced watering, the plant still looks strong and healthy overall. The buds are continuing to develop nicely.🌱🌱 I'm really curious to see how things progress in the coming weeks, especially now that the pest issue is being addressed.💚 Be excited for the coming weeks 💚🌱🌱

Black Opium is looking very nice, healthy green colour and we are growing nicely. As she's still a little tall I have left the prop, so the stem gets to strengthen up and she won't fall over in the meantime. Here is what I fed this week. 11.7.25: I watered with 1ltrs of dechlorinated water PH'd to 6.6 containing the following nutrients; 💜 1ml Ecothrive Trace 💜 1/4 TSP Ecothrive Biosys PH: 6.6 PPM: 400 14.7.25: I watered with 1ltrs of dechlorinated water PH'd to 6.3 containing the following nutrients; 💜 1/4 TSP Ecothrive Biosys PH: 6.3 PPM: 373 16.7.25: I watered with 1ltrs of dechlorinated water PH'd to 6.5 containing the following nutrients; 💜 1ml Ecothrive Trace 💜 1/4 TSP Ecothrive Biosys PH: 6.5 PPM: 363 Thanks for checking in this week and hanging out 😊💚✌️🍃😁

This week has been awesome as far a new growth . The girls are coming along fine . I’m seeing some yellowing on the leaf tips so for the next few watering I’m going to use straight water and no nutrients. Overall both plant are healthy. I have some defoliating to do on both plants . I started low stress training but I stopped because with my work schedule ,it turned out to be a lot of work . So I plan on ordering a Scrog net to keep the girls evened out. Also every week or so I rotate the plants about a 1/4 turn to distribute sunlight and I’ve been tucking some of the bigger fan leaves 🍁 to get more light at the bottom.

🌸 Permanent Marker – Week 3 Flower Update Genetics: Permanent Marker (Zamnesia Seeds) Project: Dognabis Cup Example Grow 🌍 ⸻ 👑 Pheno Differences – A Tale of Two Sisters This week, our two Permanent Marker phenos are really stepping into their own identities: • Pheno #2 – steady and compact at ~90 cm, balanced and symmetrical, a queen that keeps her structure tight. • Pheno #1 – aiming straight for the sky 🚀 … currently standing at ~1.95 meters! A true rocket, stretching nearly twice the size of her sister while still keeping the same elegant leaf formation and bud structure. It’s fascinating to see two very different expressions of the same genetics side by side, a reminder of the beauty of phenotype variation and why selective growing is such an art. ⸻ 🌱 Why Week 3 Flower Matters Week 3 is one of the most critical weeks in flowering. Here’s why: • The plants are finishing their initial stretch and stabilizing in height. • Bud sites are setting in, pistils multiplying, and the true architecture of the flowers begins to show. • Nutrient demand shifts from pure vegetative growth into a more balanced call for energy to support flower production. This is the week where the plant defines her frame for the buds to come, too much stress or poor nutrition here can limit yield and structure later on. ⸻ 💧 Nutrition – Simple & Effective We’re keeping it straightforward, leaning on the Aptus Holland super Soil and organic program: • All-in-One Pellets – mixed in the soil from the start, slowly releasing balanced nutrition. • Regulator – helps with nutrient uptake and strengthens the plant structure. • Top Booster – added gently to encourage early bud development. • CalMag – to support strong cell walls and avoid deficiencies. The beauty of this system is its simplicity: the soil does the heavy lifting with the pellets, while liquid supplements fine-tune the performance. It’s a sustainable and efficient way to grow, avoiding overfeeding while keeping the plants happy. ⸻ 🌡️ Conditions – Heat & Resilience Temperatures have been on the high side — a challenge in many summer grows. Still, the girls are holding up beautifully: • Room temp: peaking around 31°C • Humidity: ~60% (a bit higher over the last few days) • Soil temp: ~25°C • PPFD (PAR): • Pheno #2 (compact at ~90 cm): 760–780 μmol/m²/s • Pheno #1 (tall at ~1.95 m): 1,000–1,100 μmol/m²/s, reaching closer to the light This difference in PPFD is a natural result of their height difference — with Pheno #1 stretching closer to the light, she’s getting a more intense dose. It’ll be interesting to see how she handles the higher intensity compared to her more compact sister. 💡 Grower’s Note – Balancing Different Phenos Under One Light It’s common in multi-pheno runs to have plants finishing at different heights. Here are a few ways to manage light distribution and avoid stress or uneven growth: • Raise the fixture slightly to reduce intensity for taller plants. • Dim the light (if possible) to bring PPFD down into the sweet spot, while adding supplemental side or under-canopy lighting to support the shorter pheno. • Low-stress training (LST) or gentle bending/tucking of the tallest colas can help bring the canopy closer to even. • Stools or risers under shorter pots can bring compact phenos closer to the light. Every grow space is unique, so it’s all about finding the right balance to keep both phenos thriving. Even in the heat, both phenos are thriving — a testament to both the genetics and the resilience of plants grown in living, well-prepared soil. ⸻ ✨ Summary • Week: 3 of Flower • Highlights: Stretch finishing, bud sites forming, pistils stacking • Pheno #1: ~1.95 m tall, strong stretch, receiving 1,000–1,100 PPFD • Pheno #2: ~90 cm compact, balanced, receiving 760–780 PPFD • Nutrition: Aptus Holland organic super soil program (pellets + Regulator + Top Booster + CalMag) • Conditions: Hot but stable; humidity up to ~60%; both phenos adapting beautifully ⸻ 🌿 Reflection – The Beauty of Pheno Diversity Pheno diversity can be both a challenge and a gift. On one hand, it asks the grower to adapt, balancing light, nutrition, and space for two very different personalities. On the other hand, it’s a privilege: seeing how the same genetics can express themselves in unique ways is part of the magic of growing. It reminds us why documenting and sharing is so important, because every plant has a story to tell, and together, they teach us more than any single run ever could. ⸻ 🏆 Dognabis Cup – Officially Opening! This week also marks an important milestone outside the grow room: the Dognabis Cup is officially opening! 🎉 📦 The welcome packs are arriving at participants’ doors, and growers are already starting germination. Soon, diaries will begin to appear, and the Cup will truly come to life. A few notes for everyone joining: • The more complete and detailed your diaries are, the better your chances of winning. Sharing not just the results, but the process, is what this Cup is about. • Every participant received two genetics — one autoflower and one photoperiod. That means two chances to win 🌱🌱 • This Cup is about more than competition: it’s about sharing experiences, learning from each other, and celebrating the plant together. From my side, I want to wish everyone the very best of luck. May your seeds sprout strong, your flowers shine bright, and your journey be joyful. 💚 Let’s make this first Dognabis Cup an unforgettable experience. ⸻ This week closes with a sense of wonder — two sisters, same genetics, but two completely different stories unfolding. 🌿 📲 Don’t forget to Subscribe and follow me on Instagram and YouTube @DogDoctorOfficial for exclusive content, real-time updates, and behind-the-scenes magic. Girls are on day 4 of being in their forever pots, 5 gal. I am a noob and over watered my plants, thus the curled leaves and I had a very small amount of mold on Dorothy's soil. Removed it with a spoon and did a good search for how often and where to water. Watered the whole soil, not just near the roots. I will be waiting until the soil is dry before watering going forward and I'm hoping the girls will get to 100 percent health. My grow tent comes tomorrow and they will be transferred into the tent with grow lights and a fan. Rn I have a basic house light on them which I'm thinking will stunt them initially. Hopefully the grow light brings the girls all the way to life I will update with them in the grow tent tomorrow. Also my 4th seed officially never grew a taproot, so RIP Sophia 😥Please leave any and all tips, as I am walking blind and depending on a few websites for my advice.
