Back with another update on the viewer selected multi strain SOG. If you're just joining us, we have these photo-dependant ladies vegging in our 48"x 24" VIVOSUN tent. I have been doing a lot of heavy defoliation and pruning the past week. I also made a few upgrades in the bloom tent and moved a few of the cultivars into bloom under 12/12. Also, I realized my BlueLab Conductivity Meter has the option to switch to EC. Since EC is the most accurate way to measure the nutrient concentration in a solution, I will now be measuring and reporting EC readings rather than PPM.
I am honestly super stoked about every single plant in this run. That said, I think I am probably most impressed by the 🍭🎅🏻 COTTON CANDY CANE lady from Emerald Triangle Seeds. She is incredibly vigorous. She was started nearly a month after all the others (except the 🦍🍪 GORILLA x COOKIES) and has already caught up to some of the taller plants in the run. Special thanks to those guys for sending the freebies for me to try out! Definitely want to try more from this breeder! She is almost a month behind the other plants and is almost as tall as the tallest cultivars started on 8/10. All in all, everything looks great.

- Added a BOTANICARE 48" x 48" low-tide flood tray on top of six 4" tall cinder-blocks with a low-profile motorcycle oil-pan for the water to drain into beneath the flood tray.
- I transplanted eleven cultivars into black 12" tall Active Aqua brand 12" x 12" square pots and inserted 3' fiberglass garden stakes into the center of the rootball near the main stem of each plant. Each stake goes to the bottom of the 12" pot. All transplants have nice solid root balls due to being slightly rootbound. I knew I'd likely run short on premixed soil, so I decided to transplant the largest plants first. Of course, I ran out of soil after 11 plants were transplanted. It seems like I used a lot more soil than usual with this method and in tgese pots.
- I mixed a new batch of soil using the same recipe. I will give the five smallest gorls a few more days to grow taller. That will give this batch of soil a little time to innoculate.
- I moved the 11 transplants into the 96" x 48"bloom tent under 12/12 lighting schedule.

She received approximately 1 gallon of solution. I mixed 12 gallons of solution for all the plants I have in flower. 1 gallon of that was then measured and fed to this cultivar.

The solution starts with 12 gal tap H2O through two kdf filters mixed in a 36 gallon reservoir. The solution is applied via wand sprayer powered by a submersible pump attached to a garden hose. Nutrients and additives are added to the reservoir in the order listed below and thoroughly mixed uding a plastic stir spoon. The reservoir is oxygenated by four 4 inch air stones.

Checked all leafs and soil yesterday and all was more than good ph and salts just perfect

So I decided to do bi weekly foliar sprays with the Liquid seaweed on top of the weekly Silica foliar sprays. I can say that I am seeing amazing results the plants are growing from every which way and getting nice and lush. Just pray for some rain!

Plants seemed to have slowed vertical growth of the four main tops and the buds are now bulking up. Side buds are growing slightly taller but mostly just getting fatter. Lost track of exactly what I fed with this past week but the most significant change was two feedings of CAB 3 with a double shot of 'B' which is an additional 76 ppm P and 96 ppm K. This is my knockoff solution to the various bloom boosting products recommended everywhere. My next grow I will do a test without the PK boost as a few research articles I have seen say the boost is unnecessary but there is also info available contradicting that premise. Also supplemented on different days with Recharge 5 ml/gallon, molasses 55~ ml/gallon, 12% humic acid 30~ ml/gallon.

Week 17
Day 113 (04/12/2020)💧:
Nice start to the week with a watering. Just as last week, I will be giving her the increased nutrients until the flush. However, I will stop with the CalMag because it seems that the leaves are damaged because the buds are absorbing so many nutrients. I don’t think the CalMag can help here 😅. So today I gave her 1.5ml of BioGrow, 6ml of BioBloom, and 6ml of TopMax.
Day 114 (05/12/2020):
The trichomes were looking beautiful today! You can see in the pictures that some are getting more amber now which is a great sign that she is almost ready 🌸
Day 115 (06/12/2020):
Took a quick pic of the tent but didn’t have much time to check the girls properly. I’m sure they are great as always 👌
Day 116 (07/12/2020)💧:
I watered the girl today with the same nutrients: 1.5ml of BioGrow, 6ml of BioBloom, and 6ml of TopMax. The buds on this girl are looking super dense and even the ones at the bottom are getting bigger! I hope that this 6ml of TopMax will fatten them up even more in the next few weeks before harvest 😄

I’ve gotta say that the smell is definitely evolving in a more sweet direction. It has developed into a kind of a citrusy/grape-flavoured sweet drink. It smells so good I wanna eat it 🍽️😋
Day 119 (10/12/2020)💧:
Watered the girl today with the same nutrients as last time giving them 1.5ml of BioGrow, 6ml of BioBloom, and 6ml of TopMax. She doing well but again some of the leaves and stems at the bottom were definitely a bit sad and wilting. But nevertheless, I took some videos and close-ups pictures and the buds look incredible. Also looking from their trichomes, I noticed some more amber ones so I am thinking to even start the 2 weeks flush from next watering onwards and prepare for harvest! Will assess the trichomes in a few days and decide.

Hello everyone,
The weeks are flying by in the tent the amnesia fast is drink more and more consuming about 10 liters per 3 days.
She will get her last defoliation in a couple of days and then she will get almost no stress from my growstyle.
I placed a dehumidifier in the tent to counter high humidity 67% when the lights are off. I'm pulling about 5 liters of water out the dehumidifier per day.
Let's see how she looks next week after the defoliation.

11/15 - Day 43 - I've changed the light schedule on the timer from 20/4 to 18/6. I will be heading out of town for 10 days on December 25th and so I'll need to harvest and hang to dry by the 24th at the latest. I've read in a few forums that decreasing the lights on/lights off ratio can speed flower maturation on auto-flowers. The other growers also mentioned that the decrease in light also reduces yields, but on such a tight timeline I'd trade total yield for more fully ripened buds any day of the week. Would certainly be interested if anybody has experience/knowledge that contradicts what I've read. Plants stretched another 2 inches in the last 24 hours putting them 22 inches from the light. I still have room to raise my light another 2 inches, but if these girls stretch more than 6 more inches they'll be < 18 inches from the light which I'm assuming would cause light burn based on the research i've done on this 600W ViparSpectra reflector series. Here's hoping they don't stretch more than 6 inches from here.
11/17 Day 45 - Haircut day. Left a few fan leaves on the shorter/lower shoots, but took almost everything else. Tallest tops had stretched another 4 inches in the past 48 hours, and were 18 inches from the light. I raised the light the final 2 inches I had available, which places it back to 20 inches from the tallest bud sites. Hopefully the haircut I gave the plants slows down the stretch, but either way it looks like I'll have to do a lot of retraining before I head out of town tomorrow for 5 days.
11/18 Day 46 - Fed nutes. Cal mag + advanced nutrients (micro, grow, bloom), and MKP. 4 Litres of water per plant. A lot of runoff in the saucers, but I'm out of town for the next 5 days so I'm leaving it to be absorbed throughout the week.

Skipped 2 weeks didnt feel like uploading idk.
Flushed them a couple days ago with a shitload of water, now will just wait for them to fade and die so i can harvest.
Huge chunks all around, some minor foxtailing due to high temps that only increased the density of the buds, smell is awesome, earthy sweet i would say but not much of a connoiseur myself.
I am thinking she is carrying a solid 70 grams dry.

Die Dünger gabe gestern und heute hat echt was gebracht sind sofort dunkler geworden mit mineralischen Dünger geht das fix mit bio Dünger würde das min 1 Woche dauern bis man eine Verbesserung feststellt

20.06.26 Mehr Regen und heiß ist es Pflanzen sehen bombe aus die mögen den Regen guter PH die sehen so vital aus schönes Grün nur GDP sie ist eine hungrige und groß ist sie in ihren 15L mit ein bisschen mehr Dünger kann man die bestimmt noch weiter pushen wenn das so weiter geht und im September Mal mehr die Sonne raus kommt wird das eine Bomben Ernte Peace 🏻

22.06.26 Wetter ist mal Bombe und soll noch heißer werden Morgens gegossen und nachmittags nachhause gekommen und alles hing hoffe nur das bleibt jetzt so
23.06.26 Letzter Tag der Woche alles super Wetter ist Bombe was will man mehr hab die ganzen kleinen Triebe die nicht genug Licht abbekommen haben und nicht mit dem canopy mithalten entfernt und entblättert kurz vor der blühte werde ich nochmals entblättern damit das Licht tiefer in die Pflanze kommt damit die nodien Licht bekommen und die Pflanzen Zeit haben sich zu regenerieren die sollen kein Stress in der blühte haben.Achso 1-2 kleine Triebe wurden gelassen die später bestäubt werden sollen falls ich ein Männchen finde bis jetzt hatte ich Pech 5 von 5 sind weiblich aber ich bin guter Dinge

Everything is going pretty smooth. Twisted helix is still looking rough and the leaves are dying. Other than that everyone is looking happy. Just packing on some trichomes and building some buds. Excited to see what these girls do over the next couple weeks. This sugar cane has the same mutation as the last one. Ovules growing out in the open not protected by a calyx. These ovules shriveled up and pretty much disappeared on the last plant. Didn't notice them in the buds at all.

Back to lst, my homemade scrog wasn’t too good so I decided to order a professional one for the next grow in the meanwhile I tide them back doing lst
Also now they are really growing bigger and bigger
Again not sure if I’m doing a good job only time will speak
Got a microscope posted a pic and video of how my watermelon is doing with its flowers, the northern light is still not in full flower but its switching

Day 85, first day of Week 13. She gives off the most beautiful smell since today, wow, never smelled something like that 😍She is also still foxtailing like a freaky little monster, fading nicely. With her I'm a bit confused as to where I should be looking now, new foxtails trichomes or the older calxy behind the foxtails? Probably a mix. Read somewhere on Reddit, that they apparently pack on proper buds, so the foxtails get fat as well. I guess we will see. Happy days
Day 87, checking trichomes everyday, still milky. She got more yellow since the last time I took pictures. Some of the foxtails have developed. Both plants got watered yesterday, with 2ml Flawless Finish. Smell still strong. Could be any day now aaaaaaaaaaaaah happy 😍
Day 88, at her daily trichome check she looked ready all of a sudden. Even on foxtails I see amber trichomes, funny mix actually, amber and clear 😁All over her buds she is a good 20% amber now. I think that should be fine for a Sativa. I chopped her and put her stem in a vase with ph water. A friend once told me a fairytale story, about how this does something good when compared with darkness. We will see, can't remember properly, it won't harm 🙏 She is a pleasant lady and weighs wet with stems 469g, which is more than my other wedding cake (244g). I guess that's great yeay. She is currently sitting in the drying tent together with wedding cake. Happy days
Update Day 1 of Darkness in a vase full of water: She initially weighed 469g yesterday when I chopped her and put her in the vase. 16 hours later I had a little look inside the tent and checked the water in the vase, she drank quite a bit, about a quarter the amount. I weighed again and she now weighs 489g, not a big difference but still, I feel slightly sciency 👽Her buds seem sucked in and more dark but also more rich looking, if that makes sense. I also imagine some other parts to be more green, ok, I like it. Check for yourself in the pictures added, if you like. Exciting yeay

This week went well. They stretched a bit when I still had them under the small lights after germinating while I was still sterilizing the big grow room. Didn't give any nutrients yet, but slightly introduced some root stimulant.
I tried to support the stretched seedlings a bit with a wire as shown in the pics. Will update soon!

All ladies look very healthy and delicious :-)
We're slowly getting closer to the end.
Watering was done twice this week, each time with 1.2 l (sewing materials see table above)
At the next watering there is a very light rinse with Clean Fruits so that the last nutrients can be slowly used up.
The trichomes are now checked every day.
I'm looking for my microscope with an app so I can take pictures of it 👍.

WEEK 14/04-20/04 : Just one clone is growing, the others are still rooting. I'm going to select 2 for complete the growing cycle and one to create the new clones, as mother. I'm going to top the fastest soon and check wich one would be the selected for growing. 😀.

She is officially on the 6th week now and here was how week 5 went! It was the most dramatic week so far, really started to fill out now and even the popcorn buds and starting to get some weight too. Now it’s just waiting for her to finish swelling then hopefully we will see her nearly ripened by end of next week! Smells fab! I can understand where the cookie idea comes from, my room smells like I have a warm batch of a variety of biscuits and cookies fresh out the oven cooling off!
