It’s a week full of growth, observations, and some lessons to share. ⸻ 🌿 Current Status • Both plants are looking healthy, vigorous, and branching strong. • White hairs (pistils) continue to thicken and spread — the first signs of real bud-building. • Leaves show some spots, likely a touch of CalMag deficiency. This is not uncommon at this stage, as the plants’ demands for calcium and magnesium rise sharply during heavy metabolic activity. To support them, I’ve kept the full nutrient recipe steady this week and reintroduced Aptus All-in-One Liquid to strengthen the nutritional foundation and bounce them back quickly. ⸻ 💧 Nutrient Recipe (Week 5) • Aptus Regulator – cell wall support & stress resistance • Aptus CalMag Boost – to address spotted leaves and support photosynthesis • Aptus All-in-One Liquid – reintroduced this week to balance the base nutrition and help recovery from early deficiency signs • Plagron Power Buds, Sugar Royal & Green Sensation – pushing bud development, resin, and flavor complexity ⚠️ Note on feeding adjustments: This week we removed Top Booster from the mix. While it’s a great stimulator during certain flower stages, running it alongside Power Buds, Sugar Royal, and Green Sensation risks overlapping too much PK. Too much of a good thing can cause stress, salt build-up, or nutrient lockouts. By keeping the recipe focused and balanced, the Lava Cakes can thrive without overload. ⸻ 🌡️ Environment • Temperatures: Lower this week (relief!) thanks to cooling efforts. • Humidity: Still running a little high, sometimes hovering beyond the ideal. • Airflow: Two 6-inch exhausts + intake, all carbon filtered. This, along with fans inside, should keep the air moving and avoid stagnant moisture pockets. ⚠️ Note: Higher humidity at this stage can invite mold or mildew risks, but with strong airflow and constant air renewal, we’re reducing the chances. The Lava Cakes showed us some leaf spots, and in return, we adjusted by reintroducing All-in-One Liquid while simplifying the booster recipe. Removing Top Booster avoids nutrient overlap and keeps the focus on a clean, balanced mix. This isn’t just about correcting deficiencies — it’s about preparing them for the heavier bloom demands to come. With lower temperatures, steady airflow, and a carefully tuned recipe, the girls are thriving. Every day brings more white hairs, more structure, and more anticipation for what’s ahead. ⸻ 🔬 Science Spotlight: Nutrient Antagonism One of the biggest hidden challenges in mid-flower is nutrient antagonism — when too much of one element blocks the uptake of another. • Excess phosphorus (P) and potassium (K) (often from bloom boosters) can interfere with calcium (Ca) and magnesium (Mg) absorption. This can show up as leaf spotting, rust marks, or weakened stems even if those nutrients are technically present in the soil. • By removing Top Booster this week, we reduced the PK load and allowed CalMag supplementation to actually reach the plant without being locked out. • Balance always beats excess. This is my best auto flower grow so far. I’m kinda bummed I didn’t let her finish completely, I think she had about another week and a half left. She was just getting too big and barely any light was penetrating the other ladies I had vegging. She still gave me a great harvest and nice looking flowers.

Hello everyone week 4 of flower has passed for this Tropicana cookies auto 🌴 For the feeding schedule i stopped feeding Power Roots and Pure Zym and started feeding Green Sensation 0,5/l Mars hydro FC-E6500 75% have a great day and wish you all happy growing 😎👨‍🌾🏻

Everything is going great, i can watch the flowers emerge, every day there are visible changes! Smell is great, plants are healthy! I maxed out both lights at 100% this week after adding around 5% every other day

Umgetopft in Woche 5, alle drei Tage gegossen, davon bei jedem zweiten gießvorgang gedüngt. Haupttrieb in Woche 6 das zweite mal getoppt.

First medical marijuana grow ever. I have gardened most of my life but marijuana is a whole different animal. I have organic bone and blood meal and tomato fertilizer (npk 4-3-8) that I was planning on using but my grow tent kit came with BioBizz Indoor Try Pack with Grow, Bloom and Top Max fertilizers. I think I may use my fertilizer on one and BioBizz on another to see which works best. Wish me luck!

The plant seems to be a growing very well very fast and very strong I have to FIM her because she can go out of control cuz she is very tall as it is without being in full flowering so I need to control for her and also she sharing a pot with another of my girls so I don't want to overpower the other plant . she's doing very well thank you for reading I'll continue to update have a happy grow

Removed small suckers from bottoms and skirted plants near the base. I also did some defoliating in order to increase potential air flow to bud sites and reduce moisture trapping. The dew has been showing on the plants in the morning and rain has been spotting here and there. I have been trying to keep my eye out for bud rot so I can remove it before it spreads however so far so good. I noticed two of the Blue MOB plants do not seem to be doing as well, and also noticed those two plants have roots growing through the 5 gallon bags. The harvest excitement is really kicking in, it smells better and better every day!

In der letzten Woche hat sie extrem an Biomasse zugelegt zu unserer Freude. :-) Trotzdem ist sie im Verhältnis noch sehr klein. Deshalb haben wir uns entschlossen, sie nicht zu toppen und kein LST an ihr vorzunehmen. Im späteren Verlauf eventuell noch HST, aber als ersten Versuch lassen wir der Natur ihren Lauf. Die Cinderella soll einer der schönsten Pflanzen sein -- Wir werden sehen :-)

5/1 Plants are being rock stars. The event horizons and toasted toffy have been lollipopped abd it looks like lsted. I need to tie down the branches. The one sherb pie looks like it has a little bit of light burn but everything else is doing awesome. 5/2 Didn't write anything I forgot. 5/3 Plants are still doing great. The event horizon is coming out of reveg and isn't so twisty. It's time to start LSTing. I just haven't had time. I'm planning to put some work in today. Soil still seemed a little wet. I FIMed a GMO. I'll wait to see how that turns out before I do the rest. After today I'll have more time. Plants still aren't DIRECTLY under the light. I want to turn on both switches but I'm afraid they'll burn. 5/4 Still going strong. Watered today. Used approximately 3 Gatorade bottles. I tried to split one bottle between 3 plants. I want the roots searching for water. I want these 1 gallons to be full of roots before the transplant. I'm thinking I may do some lsting today as well as some topping or FIM. I'll update. Seedlings seem to come out of that stall. Didn't think they'd make it. 5/5 When I arrived I realized I had left the light OFF from the morning before when I was watering and inspecting things. Hooe this doesn't mess things up to bad. I've got one event horizon that's having trouble coming out of reveg. Everything else looks good. Those stunted auto seeds are coming up with their Second set of leaves. Definately took long enough. 5/6 I got close and inspected every plant. I really want to flip the bloom switch on too. I turned it on for a minute and it's bright as fuck. I think if I could find a way to raise the light higher (I'm working on a theory) I might be able to flip both switches. However I'm noticing what looks like light burn or light stress on some of them. It's not the too of the plant though. It's like the serated leaves are turning in on themselves. The 2 that I think reveged are turning their leaves inside out. Not sure if it's a reveg thing or has something to do with the light. I raised the light at noon. I'll see if this has a positive effect. The shades only partially block direct sunlight so I may need to make sure that's what's not causing this. The 4 gmo show no signs. I moved one almost directly under the light to see if it had an effect or if it's strain dependent. I'm definitely need to learn how to use l.e.d's better. Oh well. They'll go outside in less than a month. 5/7 I'm hoping leaving that light off didn't fuck with the clones that revegged. Raisingcthe light was a good idea. I can raise it higher and I'd like to hit the other switch. It's so much brighter and the gmos don't have any burns. They'll be going outside in a few weeks anyway. I was going to but a parmeter and I still might. The auto seeds are coming up pretty good. It's in the 60s today. I might bring the girls outside on the covered porch and see how they do.

Thank God we are at the end because I have a sudden infestation of TSM. Going to harvest end of the week and give the space a good cleaning with a strong mix peroxide, top to bottom! I hate TSM!

So This week was the same as the last really, It seems all I have to do is sit back and watch these ladies do their thing! Ive not gone full on with the bloom supplements or PK yet as only 2/5 of the GG are seriously flowering. The other 3/5 GG are now Finally showing some signs of flower and some tops are starting to build and lowers producing more pistils each day! The Stardawgs continue to explode, even some friends who were sceptical about the performance of the Quantum board LED's have been flow away by the results. All of the buds seem to be building dramatically top to bottom which no shortage of frost! Macro shots on the way!!

22 December 2020 Both of these ladies are almost ready for harvest, not really much to update. Next week I will remove the scrog and and start flushing these ladies ladies for a week.
