Cal Mag Issue occured, today i start feeding CalMag the first time.

Looks absolutely awesome. This is my first photoperiod and you can really tell the difference in density and overall quality. She did 35g dry. So I achieved less than 1€/g cost per gram for the frist time! The biggest factor obviously beeing the shorter light cycle compared to the autoflowers I usually run. To save cost it might be smart to give the autos 12/12 as well. I will stick to 18/6 tho. Yo growmies, It's getting hot this week. Lots of sun makes the ladies stretch. They grew by 10cm in height and are getting super bushy. I've been defoliating a lot here and there as well as cutting off some weaker branches to give the main colas more support. Where is she heading? Nobody knows

BIG BIG apologies to Heather from fast buds & to Growdiaries & anyone who follows. The past few months have been a massive struggle, not just with temperatures & growing weed but on a personal level. My wife has been very poorly & with covid and everything going on, it's put a massive strain on us all!! I've tries to maintain an active presence on Instagram but that's about all I've physically had time for. I've put this update together today, so far into the grow now it almost seems pointless. I lost my original Mimosa due to high temps & high RH. Moving into the attic at that time of year was a mistake. It has cost me a small fortune to keep things alive. I've had to purchase an air con unit, more fans & just more of everything to be honest. My purple punch is almost ready to harvest, any time within the next couple of days, followed shortly by Bruce Banner & Kosher cake. I wont be winning any awards for this Diary & I feel bad as I was supposed to be show casing what 420 Fast buds has to offer & I've failed...miserably. Apple Fritter was doing good till air stone clogged up. Changed that and hopefully back on track. She has the polyploidy mutation. I am curious if it carried over in clone. I imagine it should. I don’t why is that. It is supposed to be 8-9 week strain. But it is very slow. At week 7 of flower it is barely in the bulking stage. All 3 also did not grew much vertically. Maybe they didn’t like the high plant count I ve had this run or high humidity in the beginning but the other strains seems to be ok. I have all 3 cloned and maybe will give the best of them another shot.

7/11/25 CRAZY! she's finally flowering

Finally peaked at the roots and they look healthy, all bright white. Flowers forming on all plants. Dark Purple KUSH plants have adjusted and the buds are growing well on those. Added Mammoth P microbes beginning of last week and again in the reservoir change this week. So far so good. Trimmed them all.

Week 1 of the latest cycle and starting out with some new hardware and an expanded grow print👍. We’re running 4 autos via a recirculating Dutch bucket system. First time on a dutchy so it’s gonna be interesting to see how it stacks up against DWC. I’ll give a full rundown on the system I’ve cobbled together on the next update. So far - all seedlings have germ’d without issue using the standard p-towel method. Why more people don’t use this method on GD is beyond me. It’s so reliable that some breeders even warranty your seeds if you use this method and more than 1 seed fails to crack. We’ve got little sprouts coming up now and it’s all just waiting for those first couple fan leaves to come out and those roots to run to the bottom of each bucket. They’ve been placed in root riot cubes (essentially a version of rapid rooters) like most of our runs and I’d recommend their use with all autos. Time and stress on young autos is key so they need the absolute best start you can give them👌. End of week update - looks like we got 4 quality little seedlings here👍. Alls good other than battling a ph issue for most of the week. Keeps spiking overnight for no real reason - hopefully it’ll even out and isn’t the early sign of a major problem🤞. Background The strain line up on this grow is look’n quite saucy 😈. We’ve got 2 FB strains this time around - Gorilla Cookies (seems we always have some GSC cross in the works). Mainly because the colours look stellar and remind me of a sugar breathe we did last year that was 🔥. The other FB is their original Cheese strain... because we already smoked all our cheese... and we really like our cheese...😉. Emerald triangle was kind enough to include a freebie of Lemon Haze. Wasn’t really big on the list but we haven’t done a haze strain to write home about yet so worth a go👍. The last is a Cherry auto from Bomb seeds that we’ve been trying to get to for months. These folks were kind enough to discuss a collaboration and as a result, here we are to test out the gear with an inaugural run of autos. Each week, we’ll try to expand on some of the benefits of each, as well as any limiting factors or considerations that need attention when pondering purchase. Already I can say that both are high quality products in terms of overall craftsmanship. MarsHydro 2x4 Grow Tent: Excellent construction in terms of durability. Reinforced stitching on the zippers and corners ensures zero tearing. Conveniently placed screen vents and intake/exhaust ports. The ceiling exhaust port only exists on the right side. Perfect for me but not great if you’re running exhaust from the top on the left side (left side wall port makes up for this however). The aluminum frame is rigid enough to support the weight of the lights and accessories. Once you have some weight in the tent, she’s go’n nowhere and you can assemble and break it down in record time if moving or stashing the grow op. Only limiting factors I’ve noticed is that temp. Control will be an issue for a tent. It just doesn’t have the same insulating ability as a wood cabinet or other permanent enclosed space. No worries, this is offset by a small desktop heater and keeps the environment exactly where desired. The other issue was a production problem - the ceiling vent was accidentally stitched into the corner seams on the assembly line. Again, no real issue - just pulled it out with no damage or fraying to the tent or port👍. Closest comparable to it that I’ve seen would be spiderfarmers line of qbs. They feature the same top-o-the-line components and roughly similar spectrums. Where VS takes the advantage is in the convenience of the dimmer nob which is easily accessible and works great at 50% with no strobing👍. The heat sink is also larger which contributes to lower temps. That’s not a good thing in my case but beneficial for most folks. I can already say that this will be a great fixture through all stages of growth. Where I know this light will excel will be in the veg. Stage for sure. Dimming function gives seedlings a much better chance of success with the ability to use lower lighting levels early on and the coverage area on a 240w is great. The average grower will find this panel suitable and fitting to their needs in a 2x4 grow space although I’d suggest 2 units if going any larger than that. The total output in this space equates to about 30w/sq.ft. Which is a decent amount of coverage based on power vs. Growprint. Ideal for veg. Certainly but, in flower - I tend to run closer to 50-60w/sq.ft to achieve higher yields. Again, similar fixtures have performed admirably in the past and while this wouldn’t be considered an “entry-level” fixture, I’d recommend that any grower new to the game not skimp on lighting and start with one of these. The price points are a great value for quality LED tech. These days, so there’s little reason to even consider a lesser fixture👍. I have no detail on limiting factors for this light as yet but have heard that stock branded fixtures don’t necessarily incorporate enough red diodes. I’ve seen no issue myself but confess - I’m no lighting guru. Day 49 - lookin good..... been bending her, trimmin abit, messin with the water solution..... ph and ppm have been all over the place..... lol she's been transitioning from grow to flower, and once she settles into night mode, the solution and growing should stabilize...... the new fan is cool... tents working properly now, neg pressure, drawing in air behind the floor fan, blown around the bottom, and cpu extractor fan pushing the air out the top of the tent, straight into the filter..... really nice way to run a little tent, low airflow........ keeps the impurities out of the buds..... the stalks have all tuffened up since trimmin, and pretty strong now.... should hold the full weight that's about to occur all over the place...... i've simplified the nutrients, they were gettin alittle confusing, so started doin nuets differently, .... so, just making my own nuet solutions, nothing fancy just base amount of normal elements .... should be a pretty good christmas ...... July 7, 2020 update... Houston... We have lift off!!! Flowering has officially begun with all four ladies. The actual heights of the 4 ladies is as follows 24" & 26" (indoors) and 21" & 24" (outdoors). The indoor plants are also much bushier and have more nodes. The outdoor plants are looking more like old school autos just focusing on a main central cola. I gave all of the ladies a LST bend and tied them down at a 45 degree angle. This is to allow better light penetration to the lower bud sites and usually results in several branches producing fat colas, not just the top. I am starting to see some bug damage on the outdoor girls. I have been trying to use companion planting of Basil, Chives, Spearmint, and Oregano as natural bug deterrents, but that's not working as well as I had hoped. I also sprayed them once with Safer End-All. Its OMRI listed and recommended by 'The Rev' of Skunk Magazine and True Living Organic fame. I'd prefer not to spray them again, especially as they get farther into flower. Any suggestions for keeping bugs away from my girls would be appreciated - hit me up in the comments. 👍

problems with fungusa gnats, the plants are weak and have deficiencies, I hope to eradicate it as soon as I have the opportunity to buy the grube granade predators

harvested some of the top buds due to much humidity and risk of budrot 6 days ago. The rest I harvested 2 days ago. Will edit the next weeks when it all dried up.

Flowers coming in slowly but surely there's a large difference in size between the lst plant and the others.

I've been unable to curb the yellowing of any of the four plants. It has now happened to the Chemdogging and is starting to happen to the last Sour Diesel. I added some compost tea last night with CalMag, hopefully it helps. Planning to chop the Gelato soon
