First trichomes are getting milky. Getting very sticky as well I love the nice and sweet, fruity smell of her. Can’t believe it made it to this point. Even if it’s not much…extremely happy to look towards my first harvest Update: Decided to cut her next week. Going for high thc-level, just testing it...maybe too early:). Sending her to 48 hours of darkness next Monday

Soooo the plants stopped their stretch and started to pack on some weight, did a defoliation at the bottom a few days ago on Pheno#2 And Pheno#1 was defoliated about 2 weeks ago.

Day 78 - Starting week 12 and she’s still chugging along and filling in and fattening up nicely. She’ll need some water and nutes in the next day or so. Day 79 - Still moving along nicely. Did a little defoliating today and will do a heavier one in another week or so. She probably is down to a couple weeks left, some of the pistils are starting to shrivel a bit but overall, still alive and well. Still have a couple days before she’s ready for some water. Day 80 - She’s looking good and fat and hell. She’s starting to get pretty damn heavy so looking at a pretty decent harvest. She wasn’t quite ready for water but should be ready tomorrow. Day 81 - Nothing new to speak of today, she was getting dry but not quite ready for some water but will definitely be giving her a feeding tomorrow. Pistils are slowly starting to shrivel up and turn reddish brown so starting to count the days down to chop. I’m thinking about 2 more weeks or so. Day 82 - The girl was majorly droopy today and was definitely ready for some water. I gave her a gallon of water with her last feeding of bloom nutes. I’ll flush her with some sledgehammer when she’s dried up again and just give her water until it’s time to harvest. Day 84 - She’s getting close to getting the chop. Leaves are starting to fade and pistils are starting to shrivel up. Still has quite a bit of white pistils but she’s on the downside, 2 weeks top left. Will be giving her a flush tomorrow and let her go till the end.

Gave them their 3rd and final heavy defoliation this week. Had lots of useless side branching that will just shadow out the good stuff and cause them to not ripen properly, a lot of this growth was due to the unintended extra 10 days they had in VEG before I noticed the timer wasn't doing what I asked it to do, just one of those things. Always a surprise in the grow room no matter how much you try to prepare and problem solve. I also had an air line manifold blow out this week which was very strange to see. Caught it early so girls didn't go without air for to long and I have 2 air pumps running so 1 going down is only a minor issue but still a great example of the random mishaps that occur when growing. If its one thing that experience has taught me its that less is more when it comes to how many colas you try to fit into a space. Do to many and you'll just end up with a load of mids, battling humidity problems and stress of keeping tons of half ripe colas falling all over onto each other come week 6 or 7. Everything is going great so far, no issues, although I have noticed some of the white hairs on the budlets have slight ginger tops (only a very small few) I have read in the past that this can be a sign of stress and potentially they might flip the hermie but I've done nothing to stress them so I am hoping this is just a abnormality from growing under LED. Boosted the nutrients up to 1000PPM now to let them feed heavy and pump those buds up. Now that I finally removed the other plants i have total control of the space! I moved the light diagonally so the girls can take max benefit from it.. I think i fucked the ph once since I saw a little deficit on the plant after the last watering... I dont know if ifs ph or something else :/

It was a wonderful journey, I really had the honor of doing this girl many times, this time even close to the Monster Zkittlez with which they generated the Runtz who was also in the grow. Super modern family situation, I wanted to try to figure out which one I liked best, and I still haven't been able to. at least I'm still tasting Runtz's first flowers and it's heavenly but the freshly picked Gelato and the upcoming Zkittlez are scary just to see them. Super resin, it really looks fake, I also have some macro photos that will make you cry. The resin is everywhere the trichomes are even in the largest leaves the scent is of the garden of eden. wow. Show. Really nice. It was freshly cleaned I want to try to do the resin the first time and then I have freshly cleaned and hung the whole girl upside down under the crop data next week when I clean and can give the detail. Gorgeous. Before being collected, she did two music therapy days, one of which in the dark with frequencies for plants and together we listened: 1 - Paolo Conte - "Gelato" al Limon 2 - Raekwon - Ice Cream to stay on the "Geato" theme and then all the M83 discography to be collected with the very famous Outro of Interstellar really seems to pass to a better life listening to that stuff. July 26: very nice flowers forming on Sunday Punch EV after two weeks of force flowering. Will continue doing that for at least another week. Did a fourth lazy compost tea. See video explainer how I make it using blackstrap molasses and Epsom salts, both of which are cheap at the grocery store. July 29: sunny and nice today. July 31: defoliated lower fan leaves and small bud sites that won’t mature in time. Directs the plant’s energy to the bigger buds up top. Aug 1: Added another top dressing of malted barley and Power Bloom as the plants seem to be a bit P deficient. There is a blue-ish tint to the leaves and another plant is showing reddish petioles (leaf stems) both of which are signs of P deficiency. More 50:50 barley and Power Bloom should work. Otherwise she looks great.

Look good!!! She's grown quite a bit this week. Now I'm watering it one day yes and one day no. She's appreciate that. This variety won't say no to food ( at least for the moment that's the feeling I get.) See you in the next week!

Giorno 2 LST e verrà già pulita con una leggera defogliazione e più che altro lollipopping( solamente 1 nodo in meno per ogni ramo e 2 nei più sviluppati) perché è già più grande della compagna e ha i rami troppo cespugliosi che rovinano il flusso di aria e il loro corretto sviluppo. Giorno 3 annaffiata con 1L di acqua Giorno 7 defogliazione e lollipopping

Everything is going well. She seems strong and I topped the six shooter just to see if she could handled and she seems to have exploded with side growth. Hopefully she will become a squat fat plant. Also germinated a Double Grape x 3Bears OG by Mephisto!

Day 22: Drain EC 3 feet high and risin'😅( average 3.3 to be exact...) dunno how much whatever-salt is building up in that pots, but it obviuosly doesn't bother the ladies. Dark green colour, very few 'claws', no signs of tipp-burn, new foliage appears in a juicy green and turns dark in an instant, leafs point upwards....... looks like they're happy😊. Planns for this week: - Install the scrog-net - Obsereve plants/soil ( when do i have to feed nutrients again?) otherwise there will be no changes...... Thoughts: These bushy babies will be kind of a challlenge to create this scrog the way i'm used to (basically bending the 4 main main colas to the corners of the tent, upper branches to the walls and spaces between the pants, lower branches to the very center). Now these ladies make so many branches, so close togehter and so equal in length, underneath huge fanleafs..... i'd love to have them in a 100 square meter canna-crib....but in a tent...????? I really hate doin' things without having them planned - but in this case i guess i will have to install the net, start weaving and see what's happening😯 Day 23 Let's keep it positive...... indoor-climate of 64% rh is perfect for my health💪😁!!! ......but in my tent it's killing the vpd😖. at a lousy 24 degrees C, i'm readin' about 60-64 % rh wich results in about 0.7 to 0.8 kPa.* More figures? Here come the crazyones👻!: pH 5.5; EC 4.2😨 but thats only drain from plant 3....... average was 6.1/3.6 The girls busy produce roots, shoots and leafs....... still very green, still not unhealthy.......few claws, no tipp-burn. Basically a comfortable place to be: It's not bad yet - no work but watering - and it can only get better!!!😁 *VPD issue solved: The sensor hung too close to a fanleaf - didn‘t expect this thing beeing so sensitive 😅. Day 24 Climbed new hights this morning: Plant 1 had an EC of 3.8 - the others didn't climb any higher than yesterday. So maybe we've reached the climax..... 😇 Visible growth now - so i installed the scrog-net and will start bending and weaving these days:-) Thoughts: Did beeing out of VPD-range for one day harm my plants? How exact can my sensor measure VPD? after a bit of research i found out: Whatever you buy for less than 200 bucks is far from beeing exact! Even professional sensors have a margin of about +/- 1% in relative humidity. Thermometers at least +/- 0.5 degrees C. This could give some a good guess of the actual VPD BUT: Leaf-temperature-offset is absolute key! Many of our trusted homegrow-equippment isn't even able to measure it (some offer default temp-offset) ....don't wanna go further here - but there's no way to achieve something like a precise VPD-measurement in homegrowing. So why caring for VPD? Even with those less accurate instruments, you may be able to keep your plants in something like a comfort-zone. Way better than only guessing 👆!!! In case i ran a much higher VPD than planned, yesterday (due to a missplaced sensor) , it will not harm or kill my plants. they might have had a bit of stress from dry air - but nothing to worry about! STAY TUNED 👈!

4/5 First day of 12/12 light cycle. Updated solution and looking forward to the stretch. Smell is noticable and branches are getting thicker. 4/7 Had to trim some of the bigger leaves which were blocking lower branches. Switched the Bloom spectrum LEDs on and will keep the White LEDs from veg on for now. 4/9 Heat inside chamber has risen 5 degrees since I turned the bloom LEDs on.

So welcome to Week 9 of the Sweet Seeds Gorilla Girl XL Autoflowering grow! Unfortunately after two years of due diligence- I was finally infected with Covid 19 so I have gotten really behind with this diary. In Week 7, I switched from the Grow to the Bloom fertilizer at a rate of 2.5 mls per gallon. I am still watering every 4th day at 3 litres per plant or 0.75 of a litre per day per plant. This strain seems particularly hungry/greedy so by the end of Week 7, I’ve decided to fertilize with every watering instead of every other. I’m not increasing the dosage of the fertilizer but the frequency in which it’s being given. Other than that the plants are doing fine through Weeks 7, 8 & 9 with the buds fattening up nicely, loads of wet to the touch resin and a super strong smell emanating from the tent even when it’s closed! That’s it for the past three weeks, Covid sucks and thank goodness harvest is just around the corner! Apologies for not offering up any further "mom’s tip of the week" but I’m just finishing up this diary for kicks at this point. Thanks.
