🌱 Week 4 - Black Diamond Auto - Plant A 8×8 Adventure | Learning What Nature Wants to Teach Another week has passed inside the 8×8 Adventure, and every day reinforces why this project is so exciting. Unlike traditional autoflower grows, every plant in this room was germinated directly under a 12/12 light schedule. There was never a long vegetative period waiting before flowering. Instead, each plant has had to build its entire structure while already living under flowering conditions. It is a technique that fascinates me because it reveals just how different every individual phenotype can be. Some decide to begin flowering almost immediately. Others invest precious time building roots and branches before finally committing to reproduction. That is exactly why every plant receives its own diary. This week belongs to Black Diamond Auto - Plant A. ⸻ 🌿 A Completely Different Personality While several sisters have already started showing obvious flowering characteristics, this lady had other plans. Instead of rushing toward bloom, she kept investing energy into building herself. The result is becoming obvious. She is developing into one of the strongest structural plants inside the room. Long internodes. Strong branches. Excellent vigor. Beautiful symmetry. She almost seems to be saying, “I’m not in a hurry… I’m building something worth waiting for.” Sometimes the slow starters end up becoming the biggest surprises. ⸻ 🌱 Why Growing Under 12/12 Is So Interesting One thing I always enjoy explaining is why this project exists in the first place. Most growers veg their plants for several weeks before switching lights to 12/12. Here, the challenge is completely different. The plants experience flowering light from the day they emerge. That means every single day matters. Every root developed… Every leaf produced… Every branch formed… …is competing against the plant’s internal biological clock. Watching each phenotype decide how it responds to that pressure is one of the most educational parts of this entire adventure. ⸻ 🌿 Gentle Training Instead of Force This week continued with very gentle Low Stress Training. Rather than forcing dramatic bends or aggressive shaping, I’m simply helping light reach every future flowering site. Leaf tucking. Soft branch positioning. Small adjustments every day. Sometimes even gently bending large fan leaves out of the way instead of removing them. At this stage every healthy leaf is still acting like a solar panel, producing energy for everything that comes next. The goal isn’t to force the plant into a shape. The goal is to guide her while allowing genetics to express themselves naturally. ⸻ 💧 A New Chapter Begins: AutoPot Time One of the biggest milestones this week is that Plant A has officially graduated into the AutoPot system. This is something I’ve been looking forward to throughout the entire grow. For anyone unfamiliar with AutoPots, they are a completely passive self-watering system. There are no pumps. No timers. No electricity controlling irrigation. Instead, everything revolves around one incredibly clever little device called the AquaValve. The AquaValve constantly monitors the water level inside the tray beneath the pot. As the plant drinks, the tray empties. Only then does the AquaValve automatically open, allowing fresh nutrient solution to refill the tray before closing again. This creates a natural wet-and-dry rhythm while giving the roots constant access to perfectly oxygenated nutrient solution whenever they need it. The plant decides when to drink. Not me. It’s a beautiful example of letting nature control the schedule. ⸻ 🔬 Why This Is Such A Fun Experiment Even more interesting… Plant A won’t be alone for long. The current plan is to compare her performance against another Black Diamond that may remain outside the AutoPot system. Same genetics. Same room. Same environment. Different irrigation method. It’s still early, so I won’t draw any conclusions yet, but this comparison could become one of the most educational parts of this entire project. Sometimes the best lessons come from simply letting the plants answer the questions for us. ⸻ 🌡️ Environment The room continues running very consistently. Environment • 🌡️ Day Temperature: 33°C • 🌙 Night Temperature: 25°C • 💧 Relative Humidity: 63% • ⚡ EC: 1.35 • pH: 6.1 • 💨 CO₂: 639 ppm • 💦 Solution Temperature: 26°C Even with the warmer daytime temperatures, the plants continue showing healthy metabolism and vigorous growth. ⸻ 🍽️ Feeding This Week Current nutrient program: • Terra Grow — 1.8 ml/L • Power Roots — 1 ml/L • Pure Zym — 1 ml/L • Sugar Royal — 1 ml/L The feeding remains intentionally balanced. No need to chase high EC values while the plant is still investing heavily into structural growth. Healthy roots first. Strong stems second. Flowers will come naturally. ⸻ 🌱 Looking Ahead By the end of the week, she’s finally beginning to show the first signs that flowering is approaching. Nothing explosive yet. Just those subtle little changes every grower loves spotting: slightly tighter node spacing… new vertical growth… the first hints that she’s preparing to transition. Considering the structure she’s already built, I have a feeling she could become one of the larger plants in this room. Only time will tell. And that’s half the fun. ⸻ 💚 Final Thoughts One of my favourite things about this hobby is that every plant writes its own story. We provide the environment. The nutrition. The light. The care. But ultimately, genetics decide how the story unfolds. Plant A is teaching patience. She’s showing that not every plant needs to sprint into flower to become something special. Sometimes building a strong foundation is the smartest strategy of all. Hola amigos. Week has gone again and i had timelapse recording. Enjoy 🤣 girl looks better but not that good yet. I also have that og kush enough for couple months soon so this prob going to get couple months more time to grow those clones for me. LST done. 24.4 couple days timelapse added. Out of water for 3 days and when I arrive she looks with all her leads facing down. As soon I put her water she refused but after few hours she becomes very healthy. I had to cut few yellow leeds

🌿 Woche 26 – Mentha de Croco von Terpyz 🇩🇪 Die Entwicklung der Buds schreitet momentan wirklich hervorragend voran 🌸💚. Besonders bei der linken Pflanze sieht man inzwischen jeden Tag deutliche Fortschritte. Die Buds beginnen bereits wunderschön in der Sonne zu glitzern und die ersten Trichome machen richtig Lust auf das Endergebnis ✨☀️. Auch der Geruch beim Reiben an den Zuckerblättern wird immer spannender 👃🌿. Ich würde das aktuelle Aroma als zitronig, minzig, leicht lösemittelhaltig und mit einer feinen Beerennote beschreiben 🍋🍃. Eine wirklich interessante Kombination, die sich hoffentlich in den kommenden Wochen noch weiter entwickelt. Der Breeder erwähnt, dass es bei diesem Cultivar seltene Blaubeer-Phenos geben soll, deren Buds allerdings Unterstützung benötigen 🌸. Ich könnte mir durchaus vorstellen, dass sich die linke Pflanze in diese Richtung entwickelt. Natürlich ist es dafür noch viel zu früh, um das sicher zu sagen, aber die Kombination aus Aroma und ihrer bisherigen Entwicklung macht mich definitiv neugierig 👀. Von allen drei Pflanzen in meinem aktuellen Grow riecht die linke Mentha de Croco momentan tatsächlich am besten 😍. Ich bin deshalb besonders gespannt, wie sich ihr Aroma bis zur Ernte noch verändert. Die rechte Pflanze ist im Vergleich momentan etwas unspektakulärer 🌿. Dafür scheint ihre Struktur etwas unkomplizierter zu sein, sodass ich mir bei ihr wahrscheinlich etwas weniger Sorgen um die Unterstützung der Buds machen muss 🌸. Bei der linken Pflanze werde ich das Gewicht der Buds definitiv weiter im Auge behalten. Beim Wasserverbrauch liege ich momentan bei ungefähr 2,5–4 Litern pro Pflanze und Tag 💧. Das hängt inzwischen stark davon ab, wie warm es tagsüber wird. Diese Woche soll es noch einmal etwas wärmer werden ☀️🌡️ – für die weitere Blütenentwicklung dürfte das durchaus hilfreich sein. Langsam steigt bei mir wirklich die Vorfreude auf das Endergebnis 😍🌸. Gerade die linke Pflanze macht mich mit ihrem Aroma und dem zunehmenden Trichombesatz richtig neugierig. Jetzt heißt es weiter beobachten, das Wetter genießen und hoffen, dass die Pflanzen ihre Buds noch ordentlich weiter aufbauen 🤞🌿. 🌿 Week 26 – Mentha de Croco by Terpyz 🇬🇧 The bud development is progressing really well at the moment 🌸💚. Especially on the left plant, I can see noticeable changes almost every day. The buds are already sparkling beautifully in the sunlight, and seeing the first serious layer of trichomes is making me really excited about the final result ✨☀️. The aroma when rubbing the sugar leaves is becoming more and more interesting as well 👃🌿. At the moment, I would describe it as lemony, minty, slightly solvent-like, with a subtle berry note 🍋🍃. It’s a really fascinating combination and I hope the terpene profile continues to develop over the next few weeks. The breeder mentions that this cultivar can occasionally produce rare blueberry phenotypes, although those buds apparently need some additional support 🌸. I could definitely imagine the left plant moving in that direction. Of course, it’s still far too early to say that for sure, but the combination of its aroma and overall development definitely has me curious 👀. Out of all three plants in my current grow, the left Mentha de Croco actually smells the best at the moment 😍. I’m therefore especially interested to see how her aroma develops by harvest. The right plant is a little less spectacular for now 🌿. However, its structure seems somewhat easier to manage, so I’m expecting slightly fewer concerns about supporting the buds 🌸. I’ll definitely keep a close eye on the weight of the buds on the left plant. Water consumption is currently around 2.5–4 litres per plant per day 💧. It varies quite a bit depending on daytime temperatures. It’s supposed to get a little warmer again this week ☀️🌡️, which should hopefully help with further bud development. I’m getting more and more excited about the final result 😍🌸. The left plant in particular has me really curious with her aroma and increasing trichome coverage. For now, it’s all about watching the plants develop, enjoying the warmer weather and hoping they continue to stack up those beautiful buds 🤞🌿.

Starting week 2 of flower and these girls are Still stretching for a couple more days probably. I will definitely be adding a second layer of trellis this week. Also starting feeding big bud this week. Everything is looking happy and moving along nicely.

Another good week here in the tent. Getting water daily. Defoliated as needed every other day. The girls are looking great and smelling great. Lots of frost coming off these girls. Started the UVB at 30 minutes and have moved up to an hour. The tests went right to two hours but I wanted to ramp it up. Will go up thirty minutes tomorrow and continue that every few days to ramp up usage. The trichomes are coming along but not milky

Day 29 - She's bushed out to the fullest. This is a controversial, but I think essential part of growing. Trust me, what i had removed would have been a waste. I gave all sites there chance to achieve my desired height. Those that didnt, got the chop. Day 30 - Now that is a recovery! I will now focus on maintaining an even canopy. I will only pull down part of the plant that stretch faster. Day 31 - Wettable sulfur and Cali Carb before bud production fully sets in. Wettable sulfur will help with some pest management, not that I have any, powdery mildew, also not an issue, and increases terpene production. Cal Carb is a perfect pair for this as its a readily available source of calcium and carbon dioxide. Calcium seems to be a common deficiency in flower, and the plant loves CO2 during flower. This seems like a no brainer! She also got a nice feeding with some top dresses and water soluble nutrients. Loving the evidental daily changes this plant can produce! Day 32 - Continuing to pull branches down and move leaves for some of these lower sites. Can't help but to have the song, 'Let It Grow', from the Lorax, run through my head everytime I try to move leaves to help these lower sites get light, lol. Day 33 - Opening up as much as I can and tried to keep it all above the net. Vigorous rapid growth in both the plant and cover crop. Day 34 - Showing what it looks like before I take each days pic with the leaves tucked already. Getting hard to keep these leaves down! There's a few lowers I'll likely be snipping to help focus energy to better sites. Day 35 - Let's just take a moment and enjoy these beautiful flowers this amazing Common Buckwheat cover crop is showing off. If you dont know what Common Buckwheat does when growing in your soil, it helps gather phosphorus, attract beneficials, and can be cut down to make compost. Is this even the same plant from the beginning of this week!? Can't wait to see these buds start to stack!

Nothing but colas on all 3 this is going to be a big harvest. Another 2 or 3 weeks max.

Beautiful flower full of trichomes. Smell and test fantastic. Very fast flowering. She was done on day 49 but I cut her down few days later. I love the strain, the only thing that I will like this strain to have is a better yield. Beast quality buds I ever grew.

Day 37-44 just putting brenches through the net. Soon putting in bloom for the switch to 12/12.

I loved growing this plant. I have learnt so many new things. This is the first time I topped, defoliated, attempted to mainline, and everything seems to have worked out pretty well. I have made some mistakes here and there, but that's part of the learning process and lead to a pretty interesting grow :).

05/17 - Both are vegging accordingly - applied a hard LST to even out the canopy and distribute light coverage around the plants - Both are currently in 1 gallon pots - Both will be transplanted into 5 gallon pots by the end of the week - I will begin micro-dosing their nute feeds to negate transplant shock.

Je reste là, à l'entrée de mon campement, à admirer la Sultane de loin. Je me demande avec une patience infinie quand elle sera enfin prête à livrer son secret final. Le chemin est encore long, mais chaque jour est une nouvelle sultan que je contemple. . ​Elle continue de s'élever, atteignant désormais 68 cm. Mais c'est sa parure qui me fascine : elle se veti de joyaux de plus en plus massifs. Le blanc de ses pistils, encore d'une pureté absolue, reflète la lumière de la lampe tel un miroir, au point de m'aveugler lorsque je m'approche. installation du filet Pour soutenir le poids de sa future parure de diamants je guide son corp vers la lumière, j'ai installé le filet scrog. C'est mon tissage protecteur pour écarter et maintenir ses futures bijoux, afin que chacune devienne un pilier de cristal. ​🏜️ Le Climat du Sanctuaire ​Chaleur : 25°C le jour / 21°C la nuit. ​Humidité : 50% (L'air sec du désert pour protéger la résine). ​Lumière : Intensité 75%, maintenue à 55 cm de la couronne sacrée. ​ L'Élixir de Vie ​aujourd'hui (15/04) , j'ai offert à la Sultane son élixir afin qu'elle ne manque de rien: ​Volume : 1,5 litres d'eau. ​Précision : Ajustée à un pH de 6,3. ​🔬 descriptif de la sultan ​Le Miroir de Cristal : C'est frappant les pistils sont d'un blanc électrique. Ils ne font pas que pousser, ils capturent les photons de ta lampe pour créer cet effet de "miroir" dont je parle. La production de résine (ma poudre d'étoiles) commence à s'épaissir sur les bords des petites feuilles. ​Vigueur Royale : Les +2 cm montrent qu'elle a encore de l'énergie pour se structurer avant le gonflement final. Le vert des feuilles reste profond malgré le début de sacrifice des feuilles du bas, signe que mon pH de 6,3 permet une absorption parfaite. ​📜 L'Anecdote du Rif : Le Secret du "Ghbar" et de la "Zriba" comment les anciens faisaient grossir leurs "buds" dans le temps... Dans les montagnes du Rif, bien avant les engrais en bouteille, les paysans utilisaient la technique de la Zriba. Ils construisaient des petits enclos de cannes ou de pierres sèches autour des plus belles plantes pour les protéger du vent trop violent, créant un micro-climat chaud et humide à la base. ​Pour le gonflement: ils utilisaient le "Ghbar" : un compost de fumier de chèvre et de mouton, fermenté pendant des mois avec des restes de plantes. Mais leur vrai secret pour des fleurs massives était l'effeuillage sélectif lié aux phases de la lune. Ils enlevaient les grandes feuilles d'ombre uniquement lors de la lune descendante, croyant que cela forçait la "sève sacrée" à refluer vers les fleurs.
