I want to start by thanking Emerald Triangle Seeds for sending out a few tester packs for me to try! I am really excited about this strain! Idecided to germinate this seed to replace the spot that had been reserved by Jenny Kush. After 2 failed germination attempts, I decided to go with something new!
Seed sown 9/5.
.25 ml/gal of RapidStart and .25 ml/gal of SuperThrive, Adjusted pH to 6.3. After adjusting pH I added .25 tsp of recharge.

9/16 - Day 12: She is looking healthy and a beautiful shade of green. She's getting tall and growing fast!
BAD NEWS:
Half of the blue diodes have gone out in the TMLAPY light. This light was actually gifted to me shortly after a friend purchased it from Amazon and realized it was too small for their space. It seemed to be serving it's purpose well for vegging photos and running bumper crops of autoflowers but it failed only four months after the warranty period ended! Weak-Sauce!
GOOD NEWS:
So, I upgraded the 24"x48" tent to Samsung LM301H boards. I ordered a 320w straight single piece heatsink with 3 boards from Geeklight. I went with the 3k spectrum and switchable UV/IR since all my autoflowers bloom under this light. $306 USD after all is said and done.

Back with another update on our Cotton Candy Cane cultivar from breeder Emerald Triangle Seeds. Thanks, again, goes out to Emerald Triangle Seeds for allowing me to test their genetics!

It's week 3 of the vegetative cycle and she is looking wonderful! She is a nice healthy shade of green, has tight internodal spacing, and her leaves are wide showing signs of her Indica genetics. She's is a 50/50 hybrid, so i am sure we will see some of those Sativa traits in her as ahe progresses.
I am trying to get more precise and add more detail to my diaries. Let me know your thoughts! Any advice, suggestions, or constructive criticisms are always welcome.

🚿 I mist the medium between feeds with plain H2O💧 with pH adusted within range of 6.1-6.5. Probably about every other day, give or take. I typically give about 8 -12 oz at a time between feeds.

Back with another update on our incredibly vigorous 🍭🎅🏻 COTTON CANDY CANE cultivar from Emerald Triangle Seeds. If you're just joining us, we have had this photo-dependant 50/50 Indica/Sativa hybrid vegging in our 48"x 24" VIVOSUN tent SOG style with 20 other plants. I have been doing a lot of heavy defoliation and pruning the past week. I also made a few upgrades in the bloom tent and moved a few of the cultivars into the 8'x4' bloom tent running a 12/12 schedule. Also, I realized my BlueLab Conductivity Meter has the option to switch to EC. Since EC is the most accurate way to measure the nutrient concentration in a solution, I will now be measuring and reporting EC readings rather than PPM.
I am honestly super stoked about every single plant in the garden right now. That said, I think I am probably most impressed by this 🍭🎅🏻 COTTON CANDY CANE cultivar. She is incredibly vigorous. She was started nearly a month after all the others (except the 🦍🍪 GORILLA x COOKIES) and has already caught up to some of the taller plants in the run. Special thanks to everyone at Emerald Triangle Seeds for allowing me to test some of their genetics! So far, I am absolutely impressed with her vigor and definitely want to try more from this breeder! She is almost a month behind the other plants and is almost as tall as the tallest cultivars started on 8/10. All in all, she looks amazing! I am slightly concerned she will grow too tall and I will have to train her to control her height. Who, knows? Only time will tell.

- I transplanted this cultivar into a 3.4 gallon black 12" tall Active Aqua brand 12" x 12" square pot and inserted a 3' fiberglass garden stake into the center of the rootball near the main stem of the plant. The stake goes to the bottom of the 12" pot. She has a nice solid root ball due to being slightly rootbound. Following transplant, I lightly watered with filtered tap water with pH adjusted to 6.4.

- In the 96" x 48" bloom tent, I added a BOTANICARE 48" x 48" low-tide flood tray on top of six 4" tall cinder-blocks with a low-profile motorcycle oil-pan for the water to drain into beneath the flood tray.

She received approximately 1 gallon of solution. I mixed 12 gallons of solution for all the plants I have in flower. 1 gallon of that was then measured and fed to this cultivar.

The solution starts with 12 gal tap H2O through two kdf filters mixed in a 36 gallon reservoir. The solution is applied via wand sprayer powered by a submersible pump attached to a garden hose. Nutrients and additives are added to the reservoir in the order listed below and thoroughly mixed uding a plastic stir spoon. The reservoir is oxygenated by four 4 inch air stones.

Back with another update on our COTTON CANDY CANE cultivar bred by Emerald Triangle Seeds. She's a 50/50 Indica/Sativa hybrid and if you're just joining us, last week we transplanted this photo-dependant lady and moved her form our 48"x 24" VIVOSUN veg-tent into our 96" x 48" VIVOSUN bloom-tent.
This 🍭🎅🏻 COTTON CANDY CANE lady from is incredibly vigorous! Despite a later start date, she is one if the largest plants in this run. I defoliate very lightly, right now, only removing top fan leaves that are pointing inward towards the main step to open up the middle for improved air-flow and light penetration. I also selectively and conservatively remove lower shoots that are destined to grow into larf. overall, she is healthy and very happy. No signs of slowing down at all! Early on, she seems to be one of the strongest plants I have ever grown. A million thanks to Emerald Triangle Seeds for giving me the opportunity to grow this lovely beast!

Back with another update on our 🍭🎅🏻 COTTON CANDY CANE cultivar bred by EMERALD TRIANGLE SEEDS. She is a very nice deep green color and is growing beautifully! She has a nice thick stem and tight internodal growth. She is setting a very nice foundation for some beautiful flowers! Between feeds, every other day or so she gets about 4 oz of plain filtered water pH adjusted between 6.2 and 6.6 sprayed evenly around the top of the medium using a 32 oz ZEP Professional Sprayer to keep the White Dutch Clover hydrated. This has allowed me to minimize feeds to about one a week.
I apologize for quality of this week's photos. I was experimenting with some different lighting and the low light caused some grain and discoloration that I didnt notice until later. Lesson learned. Hope y'all still enjoy.

She received approximately 68 oz of solution. I mixed 9 gallons of solution for all the SOG plants. 68 oz of that was then measured and fed to this cultivar.

The solution starts with 9 gal tap H2O through two kdf filters mixed in a 36 gallon reservoir. The solution is applied via wand sprayer powered by a submersible pump attached to a garden hose. Nutrients and additives are added to the reservoir in the order listed below and thoroughly mixed using a plastic stir spoon. The reservoir is oxygenated by four 4 inch air stones.

Back with another update on our 🍭🎅🏻 COTTON CANDY CANE cultivar bred by EMERALD TRIANGLE SEEDS. Not much has changed since last week's update..I did some minor defoliation. She is still nice and fat and looking really healthy. She has large leaves and tends to drink faster than her tent mates. She hasn't stretched as much as I thought she would in comparison to some of her tent mates. She has only been getting one feed per week and gets the top soil misted to keep the White Dutch Clover happy. Stay tuned to see how she progresses.

Back with another update on our 🍭🎅🏻 COTTON CANDY CANE cultivar bred by EMERALD TRIANGLE SEEDS. I am trying a new format for the weekly summary portion of my diary. Let me know what yall think!
👃 AROMA: Her aroma is not very strong or pronounced at this point in her development, but is starting to develop a bit of an interesting soft herbal scent with a hint of pine. It's an interesting aroma. I've never experienced any strain that smells anything like this. I look forward to experiencing the evolution of her terpine profile. One of my favorite aspects of growing cannabis is how much these plants change from start to finish and how much variation is possible with this plant.
❇️ BUD STRUCTURE: Stacking up short and fat. It looks like she will produce some dense nugs, but it is still early in the cycle.
🎨Color: She is a light shade of green. She doesn't look deficient, just how she is. Hoping for some nice lime green colored dank from this cultivar!
🌿 STEM, STRETCH, & INTERNODES: She has super thick stems. Internodes are relatively tight without much elongation or stretch.
✂️ TRAINING/PRUNING: I have continued selective defoliation as needed to avoid crowding herself and her neighbors. I remove no more than 25% of foliage at any one time, and usually closer 10-15%. I space out defoliation with a minimum of 3 days between sessions, in most instances. There will be exceptions to that, but this is a good rule of thumb I try to adhere to. She has been trained to have 4 main shoots and I am using LST techniques to gently bend her stems to evenly fill her space without overcrowding. I probably could have lollipopped a bit more, but I am hoping the lower shoots I kept on her will still produce more than just LARF.
❄️TRICHOMES/RESIN PRODUCTION: She is starting to get frosty! Still early to tell, but looks good so far!
🚿 WATER/FEED: I have continued with a light bidiurnal misting of White Dutch Clover cover crop . This in conjunction with running lower temps (New AC) has seemed to have drastically increased feeding intervals. My plants are needing much less water than in previous runs. That said, thus lady has been the thirstiest girl in the garden. I typically give the whole SOG one feed per week with light watering of select individual cultivars as needed between feeds. I try my best to "read" my garden. The amount of water between feeds depends on how soon the next feed will be. I feed the garden as a whole and this run I have been generally spacing feeds out 5-7 days or until the the first plant shows beginning signs of wilt (slight droop of lower fan leaves).
📝 OBSERVATION/NOTED: She seems very happy despite some hardships. I split her stem a while back when doing some LST. She didnt seem to respond as well as some cultivars to stem bending... pribably because her stem is too dang thick! This may have stunted her stretch, but she didn't really ever seem overly stressed. IDK. My bad.🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️

The cultivar received approximately 1 gallon of solution. I mixed 17 gallons of solution for 17 plants. The solution is applied via wand sprayer powered by a submersible pump attached to a garden hose. Nutrients and additives are added to the reservoir in the order listed below and thoroughly mixed using a large plastic stir spoon. The reservoir is oxygenated by four 4 inch air stones.

• VEG/AUTOFLOWER LIGHTING: 320w MosterBoard V4-PLUS powered by a MEANWELL 320H-48AB DRIVER. There are three V4-PLUS boards prewired and mounted on a 935x195x10mm black heatsink. Dimmer, UV Switch, and IR Switch included. Each board contains two hundred fifty two 3000k lm301h diodes + twelve Osram 660nm diodes plus 4 separately switchable LG UV 395nm diodes and 4 separately switchable Osram IR 730nm diodes.
• BLOOM LIGHTING: Two custom mounted lighting units: Each mount has one 480w MEANWELL 480H-48B driver and one 240w MEANWELL 240H-48AB powering 6 KingBright Quantum Boards. Each board contains two hundred fifty two 3500k lm301h diodes + twelve CREE XP-E2 660nm diodes plus four separately switchable CREE XP-E2 730nm diodes and four LG UV 395nm diodes. 👃 AROMA: Her aroma is stll not very strong and at this point in her development she is starting to develop a bit of an odd funk. It sounds weird, but her odor smells faintly of garlic and sweaty armpits It's an interesting aroma. I've never experienced any strain that smells anything like this and, to be honest, I am not sure I really like it. Terps can change theoughout flower and I look forward to experiencing the evolution of her terpine profile.

@Treighfunky, Thanks for stopping by! They seem to be responding well. I used my lux meter to dial in. Canopy height varies with the autoflowers growing so much faster. They're getting about 65k at the top and the lower plants are closer to 45k or so. I need to measure light to canopy distance still. I didn't get time, so I haven't changed anything on my diary regarding that. Cheers and happy growing!
@MrJones, I put it in the hole under the the Jiffy peat pellets for the roots to grow into. I did sptinkle a little Mycos on top of the peat pellets too.
