👋Top is a clean cut, no confusion for the plant, road ahead is clear, by completely removing the main growth tip, the auxin source is eliminated. The plant permanently halts vertical growth from that main stem and immediately sends its energy and hormones to the two new, evenly spaced branches just below the cut. Fimming slightly different because a small tuft of the top growth is left behind, the auxin disruption is temporary and less severe. The plant recovers more quickly and sends its energy to multiple surrounding growth points, often creating four or more new shoots from the same spot. It will eventually regain some vertical dominance after a few weeks if left to its own devices, but with a little more LST, bending the apex to the same height as the rest of the internodes, this shatters dominance, hopefully creating around 8-9 main shoots growing at equal height once recovered and grown out. Reduced environmental intensity for now and let her focus on dealing with this new stress for a week or two. When H+ ions are added to soil, the first nutrient displaced from exchange sites is typically aluminum (Al3+), if it's present, followed by calcium (Ca2+), magnesium (Mg2+), and potassium (K+), because aluminum and these base cations have different binding strengths. The displaced nutrients can be lost from the root zone through leaching, becoming unavailable to plants. As H+ ions increase, the proportion of acid cations (H+ and Al3+) on the exchange sites increases, while base cations (Ca2+, Mg2+, K+) decrease, resulting in a lower soil pH. The amount of photosynthesis (water splitting) directly determines the availability of H+ ions (protons) in a plant. 90% of water is for cooling of photosynthetic apparatus the other 10% is split for its H+ among others things. Carbon sugars, like glucose, do oxidize in soil through a process primarily driven by microorganisms, which break down these sugars for energy. This oxidation converts the sugars into carbon dioxide (CO2) through cellular respiration, a key part of the soil carbon cycle, though some carbon may also be incorporated into soil organic matter. The rate and extent of sugar oxidation depend on factors like oxygen availability, the presence of Fe oxides, and soil redox conditions, which can all influence the process. My understanding of why we flush. Just plain water, what does it do? Strips the medium of salts and nutrients making it empty. What does that do? Triggers nutrient recycling within the plant. What's nutrient recycling? It is a natural part of plant senescence, which can be triggered once you know the switches. A 24:1 carbon-to-nitrogen ratio will also trigger. Why won't it trigger autophagy for me? Nitrogen needs to be gone, gone, gone almost. Ammoniacal (organic) nitrogen takes 4-5 times more water to separate it from soil particles than nitrates so what happens is most people jist flush the nitrates, leave all the ammoniacal in there and this prevents autophagy initiating. Nitrogen decays differently depending on its form during the dry. Ammoniacal nitrogen will oxidize in the air, leaving no trace. But nitrates do no decay and turn volatile and smelly and remain trapped until smoked, no matter how long you cure it does not oxidize. This is why you need to trigger it and begin the denitrfication process prior to harvest to get rid of all the nitrates. Otherwise, you will smoke it. Flush till autophagy begins, just make sure you add no nitrogen afterwards. Micronutrients for trichomes. Don't leave the medium empty for 2 weeks, that does nothing but reduce yield 10%ish. Trichomes are another thing. Trichomes themselves are not directly affected by flushing; rather, flushing affects the plant's nutrient uptake, which influences the development and final state of the trichomes. Trichomes are filled with antioxidants in the last weeks, which is what makes them cloudy. A lot of the processing of antioxidants requires energy and nutrients (mostly micronutrients ), so you don't want that soil empty for 2 weeks, you just want the carbon nitrogen ratio 24:1and no higher. She still wants what she needs to ripen. Processing antioxidants is energy-intensive; heat and light accelerate the rate at which THC converts to CBN. This is why you lower DLI, lower temps. By doing so, you reduce the oxidative workload caused by photosynthesis, which opens up the oxidative capacity for the production of antioxidants. THC is mostly processed at night when the plant's oxidative capacity is generally moreso "free and available" for work

I was growing in closets with the doors open - not a very sealed or sterile environment. I saw some dirt/debris on the leaves so I gave them all a preemptive bath with insecticidal soap just in case it was an early sign of an infestation

Week 5 of vegging has come to an end. The girls are drinking daily and the new tops are developing nicely. I've been stressing the tops a bit, bending them down to let light hit the next set of nodes. The light is now at 24" and at 60 %. I'll be adjusting the intensity and height to keep dli relative. I've also been gradually decreasing light time over the course of 6 days and are currently at 14 hours. The next week will be transition to flower, giving me approximately 9 weeks to finish. This week unfortunately I accidentally snapped a branch off but other than that mess up she's been having allot of vigorous growth and looks like she's loving her low stress training I'm applying.. looking forward to the flower sites forming and her to fully bloom

Week 11, the third week of flowering, has been an absolute blast in our Tropical Tangie Ninja Run. Hold onto your hats, because we've got a tale of growth, defoliation, sticky fingers, and some sneaky chocolate donut escapades! This week was like a whirlwind of excitement. Our Tangie decided to go all out with her growth spurt – she's stretching up like a true ninja reaching for the skies. She's growing so tall that I had to channel my inner MacGyver and grab some wire for an impromptu second support LED. Teamwork makes the dream work, right? Now, here comes the twist – she grew so rapidly that I just couldn't wait until day 21 for that defoliation dance. Nope, I decided to take action at day 19! In the scorching heat, after some serious defoliation action, I found solace in a picole ice-cream. Because hey, even ninja gardeners need a sweet break! And guess who were my accomplices? My trusty ninja buddies, of course. They know how to keep it cool. As if that wasn't adventurous enough, we applied a second layer of the scrog net. And let me tell you, by the end, my gloves were coated in that stickie, fragrant resin. Sticky fingers, sticky situation, totally worth it! Going good so far, end of week 2 and roots are hitting the water on all plant. Topped 3 of 4 Plants at 5th node And the last one is a bit smaller so we will wait a few days to top it still. Changed the water in the system at end of week 2 and added Remo lineup at 3/4 strength along side UC Roots at 5ml/gal.

started flush on nemo on left, probably getting chopped in next week to 10 days, V still has a few more weeks to finish, after harvesting tops of nemo, I'll reweave V all around the tent to get more airflow, better light usage, and allow them to fill in and finish up. watching trichomes on Nemo, feed is just RO water with 20 ml of finish all the way til shes ready to get cut down. going to add a few ice cubes to outter edges of pot to slow trickle and cool the feed to bring out some blue, purple and silvers in fade

Habe zum ersten Mal Canna Ryzotronic als blattspray gegen hitzestress benutzt und wie ich finde haben sie die Temperaturen um die 30C° gut weggesteckt. Ich Wechsel sobald des die Temperaturen zulassen auf 80% Leistung oder 60% Leistung aber immer so das im Zelt nie mehr wie 28C° herrschen. DLI bei 80%= 40-42 DLI bei 60%= 28-32 Seit 1 Woche ist das deep red 660nm adlite an. Ebenfalls läuft eine extra Zuluft mit 230-280m³ extra Zuluft die ich aus dem Fenster hänge oder in einen anderen Raum.

The back two parts are showing yellowing leaves so it’s time to start bleaching them for a couple of weeks. The front two pots appear to be about a week behind the front two. There are trichomes Covering the top leaves on the front Skywalker.

Day 50 since seed touched soil. They overgrew everything !!! Devil is HUGE and strong and hungry ;)))) . I think i was late with top up, they developed fast and used a lot. I check run off for ppm, but thought 800 still ok, it was not. So big last top up !!! plus to call it measuring would be sin, i collect all run off, mixed from all 3 plants, but its still gives small feel. ALL NUTRITIONS ARE GRAMS TO POT LITRES !!!! Neutralise is in real measurement only. Great White - 3 g each pot Biosys - 3g each pot Charge - 30 g each pot Life-Cycle - 60 g each pot Bio-Blend - 100 g each pot Watered straight after, 4 liters went in. Some girls are almost brushing Mars Hydro TSL2000 and i see no issues if air is moved and temp with humidity allows it. Great light, plants grow very well, too well ;)))) will do new clearing after two waterings, want girls to eat first, make bigger roots, then i will resize again to concentrate more on tops. MARS HYDRO TSL2000: 300W, Flower 2'x4', Veg 3'x5' It's recommended for beginners. Low-budget & high-efficiency. Took down first time ever LST while still growing. Needed space of pot, for last top up and i think they will breath better without, branches are stiff, i would add silica to feed at such time, to stiff them, but i go with one line only, just full beans ;))) Happy growing !!!

Day 77. Maybe a bit early, but no space and one Smoothie went for a date with bud rot ;))) didn't want to loose that nice top. Very frosty, nice gassy smell surrounded by fruits. Day 82. Second girl is down. Both small as you see, but with few branches will produce seed packaging cover type plant. Maybe second got some purple fade ... First was very nice by structure. Day 85. First went to jar. How lovely it sparkles and smells !!! Solid strain, even being so small by structure. Day 89. Second is in jars too ! Happy Growing !!!

Put a lot of love into this grow. She grew for 4 months from seeds to harvest. About 5 weeks and 56 days of flower. Overall great strain to grow and great site @growdiaries for giving the platform and help from other growers. I’ve learned so much about growing and especially about this strain.

I’ve been a bit behind on posting, but everything is still going strong at day 135, with trichomes just starting to cloud up. I did harvest the Cookies Gelato, but honestly, it wasn’t my favorite grow. It was tough chopping both a gifted Humboldt Orange Cream Pop clone and the Cookies Gelato at the same time. The Humboldt absolutely dominated—it wasn’t even a fair fight.
