I let them recover from the heavy defoliation i did, and next week i will slowly increase the light's strength. (Now still at 50% 50cm)

Sta prendendo un bel colore viola intenso, gli odori sono di frutti tropicali molto agrumati! Un profilo terpenico davvero spettacolare per quello che posso odorare senza averla ancora provata! Complimenti a zamnesia che sta partacmente raggiungendo come qualità le migliori case di semi! Spero vi piaccia come si è sviluppata la bimba, di sicuro non vincerò mai il contest, ma non si sa mai, sperare è sempre una bella cosa per tutti avere l oppurtunita di dimostrare le proprie qualità con prodotti professionali come quelli di plagron! Temperatures stayed cold throughout — nights dropping well below 10°C again — but she hasn’t shown any signs of stress. Drinking steadily, looking healthy, no complaints. The canopy continues to fill out nicely from last week’s LST. Structure is building exactly the way you’d want it ahead of the stretch. Still on Plagron Alga Grow exclusively for nutrients. On the biology side, she got Super Microbes RootX at transplant — mycorrhiza, Trichoderma and 13 Bacillus strains straight into the root zone from day one. BoostX is running on a two-week interval on top of that, covering a broader microbial spectrum including Lactobacillus, Rhodopseudomonas palustris and Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Both highly recommended for outdoor runs — compatible with mineral and organic feeds and the root development speaks for itself. The smell remains notably intense for a plant still in veg — a good indicator of what the resin production is going to look like once she hits flower. This coming week is finally looking like a turning point — temperatures pushing up to 27°C, winds staying light. ☀️ // Day 66 🍁 Chopping Day Every grow must come to an end. I can't be the only one who always gets heartbroken when chopping down the plants. I mean, for 4 months you do everything for the plants that they're having a good life. You cheer every healthy sign from them, you want them to love life and from one day to the other, you kill them. That's just sad, isn't it? I am always telling myself that they're basically become a part of us through the endocannabinoid system, so that's their afterlife, right? Haha Anyway, this was a rather stressful grow. I had major problems with the soil, I just couldn't control it. I think it's because of the Peat Free stuff I mixed in, it somehow fucked up the buffer capabilities of the soil or something like that. But that doesn't matter now, I got it under control, the buds developed perfectly but the leafs are damaged by the tips. So it's not the most beautiful plant overall but the buds are very marvelous. They have a rather unique shape, like a pyramid but with an almost flat head? And their purple hue is just breathtaking. It's a very pinkish purple which I haven't seen by myself until now. I am very happy with this genetic in that regard. But let's see how the buds really turn out. I am aiming for a 10-14 day drying period. With 55% humidty during the first 24-48h with 19 °C. I will rise the humidty to 60 % after that period until the end. In that way, I want to make sure that the critical moisture gets out in the first 1-2 days but after that it should be a very, very slow drying to preserve as much cannabinoids and terpenes as possible. Once again, this week starts where the former one ended. With the exception of all the cables you can see in the first picture. I dared to install a minimalized version of the Raspi control only controlling the self-built humidifier and one blower/fan combination. I was very pleased to see how easily the simple diffusor can hold optimum VPD as long as temperatures are high and humidity tends to fall below optimum VPD. A single 10 seconds evaporation can hold the level for about 2–3 minutes. I am not pleased to see the Monsanto blowers rather underperform. It’s impossible to reduce humidity or temperature with both running on full speed, while a lifting of the tent door will bring immediate changes. With the Raspi/Arduino success so far*, I am thinking about using old Power Mac fans which are WCM controllable and use 12 V. At least one to increase air intake, and maybe even the blowers. * It wasn’t any problem at all to have the Arduino collect CO2 and soil moisture data, so after some more cable manufacturing (aka helpless soldering), I could extend the Raspi control. I’m still uncertain about the camera module (@trelorny impressed me with his time lapse videos). I don’t want to put the hardware into the tent with its not so electronics friendly climate, already risking some rare outages of the temp/hum sensor. But the camera module cannot be placed far away. So maybe I’ll use the 3A model I own as a spare part as a camera driver. Any maybe, if it works, invest in a better camera module. Mine is generation 1. Oh, and the ladies! Gave them slightly fertilised water yesterday, and even it or the better VPD yesterday or a combination of both make me believe bud growth is a bit more visible today. The smell in the morning when I open the tent to release accumulated humidity is outstanding. They were already thirsty on day 57 again, so pure RO + a bit of tap water until it spilled out of their pot’s bottoms. Many fan leaves turning autumnally now, and the smallest Sherbet suffered a bit from over-fertilisation as I wrote. But it this stage I don’t go for leaf beauty anymore. Just another learning: Don’t use differently sized pots anymore. Hard to feed them individually this way. VPD was mostly in best range yesterday, and I have the feeling it really supports their bud growth. I added an "Evening time" option to my Raspi control that allows the humidity to sink a selected time before lights shut down. That made it possible to have humidity in best range for most of the night time too. They were even dry again on day 58 morning. Another time just water. The blowers cannot cope with the flowers’ smell anymore, and so sometimes my flat cannot hide who shares it with me. Day 60 presents me with a problem: I’ll leave on Friday for a few days. Considering the microscope pictures are not from the tops buds: Would you say it’s safe to give them another week? Problem solved on day 61. Only clean water from now on, and next week will be their last. You won’t see any new pictures for some days now. Me too … Something I wanted to share with you before I leave: I just finished to update my grow box control with a new PWM fan hat that keeps the Raspi cool, while at the same an infrared sensor can now measure real leaf and additional ambient temperature. Setup is much cleaner and more robust now, but I wish my flux would not make the solder stick to the tip of the machine instead of making it flow and stick at the tiny tiny spots I have to hit …

The plants continue to kick ass. New French Macaron and Chem Brulee leaves are all 9-fingered now. Crazy happy plants. Sprayed with light BT spray (trying to avoid any caterpillar issues this year as much as possible) early in the week. Sprayed with light Neem Oil / Castile Soap (no more dawn, no more issues!) late in the week. Today, June 9, I also defoliated a bit. Keep in mind that I don't want to do much this year as far as topping and training, so I've done one simple top on all of the plants, and essentially have created 4 main colas for each plant. I only did this to create some airflow under the plant. I don't plan on doing a lot of this stuff. Gonna let the sunshine do her thing. Even though these girls have some hot-ass super soil in there, I'm still going to be doing some top-dressing. Mixed this up and slathered it on there on Saturday, June 12. ------

The two lagging Iced Outs are trying to catch up. DAY 26 - Watering 10L with 50 ml Vega (one day too late...) + light on 300w (max) DAY 28 - 4 weeks from popping the seeds, looking good except for the two Iced Outs, one of them is trying to get with the program, the other... Well, some plants are just pricks.
