🌿 Lava Cake – Week 5 (First Week Flower) | Pre-Bloom & Heat Talk 🌿 The Lava Cakes have officially stepped into their flowering tent… though, to be fair, they’re still enjoying a little extra veg time before showing pistils. Both phenos are healthy, lush, and stretching beautifully, clearly ready for the show ahead. ⸻ 📸 Photo Studio Glam We took them out for another studio shoot, bright lights, clean background, and every angle showing off their deep greens and perfect branching. Soon, their beauty will be dressed in flowers, but for now, the leaf structure alone is worthy of the spotlight. ⸻ 🌡️ Current Conditions • Room Temp: 31°C • Humidity: 50.3% • VPD: 2.23 kPa • PPFD: 766 µmol/m²/s • Soil EC: ~2.0 • Soil Temp: 25.6°C Yes, the temperature is running hot — AC unit is on the way to lock it back into our ideal zone. ⸻ 💬 Heat in the Grow Room – Risks & Benefits Potential Risks: • Faster substrate drying = more frequent irrigation needed • Higher transpiration rates can stress plants if roots can’t keep up • Slightly increased risk of light stress at high PPFD without proper cooling • Possible reduced terpene retention if sustained into late flower Possible Benefits (short term in veg/pre-flower): • Accelerated metabolism — plants grow and stretch faster • Increased water/nutrient uptake (if well-fed and watered on time) • Can improve CO₂ usage efficiency if levels are high enough Bottom line: As long as they’re hydrated, fed, and ventilated, short bursts of high temp are manageable. This week I am going through and pulling the large fan leaves off , she is a slow flowering plant so I'm just doing my best to be patient with her !!! A true gem with an unique structure !!! I think this girl is gonna be a 10 week flower , she is just starting to get smaller flower spots . Still a beast !! Added a CO2 bag directly above the canopy , added a 150 watt "blurple" light above GG#4 S1( number 2) More picture notrs and videos to follow !!

Still going strong, the plant has a very potent smell. Plant 1 will be done flowering in about 4 weeks and plant 2 will probably need 1 or 2 weeks extra. It’s really cool to see that even though it’s the same genetics the Pheno’s are different in Growth and flower speed.

Info: Unfortunately, I had to find out that my account is used for fake pages in social media. I am only active here on growdiaries. I am not on facebook instagram twitter etc All accounts except this one are fake. Harvest day 73 since the time change to 12/12 hrs. Hey guys :-) Finally the time has come . The lady was harvested. After the trichomes have been checked (70% milky 30% amber) as always, it was left in complete darkness for 48 hours before it was neatly trimmed by hand. After trimming, she was put back in the drying tent on nets. There they are allowed to dry for the next 8-12 days at 62% humidity before they are put into the jar to ferment with 62% boveda packs. After about 4-6 weeks in the jar I will swap the 62% boveda pack for a 58% boveda pack where it can be ready for another 4-6 weeks to enjoy :-). As always, the remains of the leaves are used to make Ice o Lator and oil. Of course, as always, there is a final update during the fermentation process. The Trop Cherry was harvested on day 56 and dried in the tent at around 16-20°C with a humidity level of 60%. After a week, she was ready to be trimmed and then spent another two days drying in a cardboard box. Now the buds are in their container for curing. Updates to follow Dry Weight - 40 Grams

Jdu do květu tento týden mi začíná pořádná zábava, pokoukáníčko, vyvoňený byt a radost na čím dál tím větší úrovni!! Tento týden jsem ve 42 den udělal defoliaci pravé a dal jsem jí síť. Levá mě furt tak nějak trápí protože pořád nechce přepnout do květu. Nevím možná tý levý nebudu moct dát síť a snad se nezhermí... PK 13 14 jsem dal až včera a jenom pravé, protože už má docela pěkný květy, taaak ať jede bomby. Uvažuji jestli a jak hodně to případně defoliovat dál, tu pravou, u té se bojím víc jak u té levé tam je jasné že nějaká defoliace bude muset proběhnout ale otázkou je kdy?A jak moc...?

Well... I have some great looking buds happening by this point in my opinion. Unfortunately I didnt end up with a super red looking plant like I wanted but it is changing colours and definitely has purple hues at this point. The smell is getting thick, thank god I purchased the Can-Lite carbon filter or my whole place would be reaking.... I should be getting close to finishing according to Sweet Seeds website, but upon inspection there is still a while yet to go... They've been getting 24hour light the entire time and good airflow. The shorter plant seems to have progressed further at this point, trichomes are standing on end and I feel good about my grow.

Super easygoing strain, and fun to grow. Looks like a nice yield but I'll have to update with weight after it's dry. This sweetie was grown in 6 gallons, from seed, under non adjustable lighting from seedling through harvest. Base nutes and cal mag. Ocean Forest/perlite in the bottom 3/4, Happy Frog/perlite on the top 1/4. Trained with a combo of scrog/lst techniques. The lights are two 50 dollar "1000 watt equivalent" Amazon LEDs, they say their max input is 280 volts though so I have no idea what grams to watts will be when the dry weight comes in. Hey Cannafam hope you are well 💚, Its been another mixed week for my purple gal but lets start with the positive. This Lady is absolutely beautiful, i cant stop staring at alluring purpleness and im completely obsessed 💜 Bud developement has continued further this week and shes actually gained height by an inch from growth of her top cola. Secondry branches have continued to fill out and the smell has increased again, she now has what can only be described as roudy honk of forest fruits. I love the smell but she is not subtle and can be detected by nose at least 20 metres away! On the weather and the other side, we have had mainly dry weather with one day of rain on Monday. Yesterday i checked her and a bud site on the opposite side and down a tier had budrot which was removed, she was then inspected closely again and i found another lower down and again removed 😑 Her Trichs are now mainly cloudy and although i feel she needs a bit longer, ive started to flush today, this gals coming down soon as or i will lose more of this beauty.
