Germinated in Purple Cow starter mix in 10x20 propagation kit with heat mat under an 18 watt 6400K 1080 lumen T5 fluorescent bulb.
She came up in 3 days still in her shell. I had to rescue her from the inner and outer shells. Since then she’s been greening up and tiny leaves have started. I think she’s going to be ok. I gave her a few drops of Recharge water.
She’s a bit behind but she’s starting to really grow now (day 10). In a few days I should be able to transplant her to a 5 gallon air pot.
When they sprout with the seed cover still on, is it better to leave them alone to outgrow it or help them by trying to pull it off? How many days until you should start worrying or taking action? Thanks!
Hey there if it’s been a few days already , it’s better to take it off , sometimes if the plant can’t do it by itself the seed shell will choke the plant and it could die. Hope this helps ! 🚀
I transplanted her to a 5 gallon air pot filled with Purple Cow IndiCanja living soil. I gave her some water with Recharge and put her under a dome. Her next watering I will start her on low dose nutrients.
I removed her dome after she about doubled in size.
I feel like she was just a sprout. She’s growing up quickly. So far, so good.
She’s getting taller, starting to really grow now.
I see pistils at the internodes.
I added some 90 degree trainers to spread out her branches.
She’s recovering well from training.
She’s very close to pre-flowering. I see a couple of pistils on the upper nodes.
She’s starting to get taller…I wouldn’t say stretching yet but she’s getting ready.
She was noticeably taller the next day, and then the day after. She’s definitely got her stretch on.
She’s been pre-flowering for about a week now. It looks like her buds are just starting.
Flowers are starting all over.
She’s still stretching visibly every day.
She’s looking great! Flowers are starting to grow all over. They’re looking nicely spaced and seem like they’re going to be big!🤞🏻
I trimmed some leaves and small shoots. I think she’s going to be a nice one!
The way she’s going, she’ll be the tallest one I’ve grown so far!
She just keeps getting taller. At this rate, she’s going to be a monster! Her buds are starting to fill in and it looks like they’re going to be huge. 🤞🏻
I thought that my previous plants were nice but this one makes me realize how puny they actually were. There’s that learning curve again.
She leaves me speechless.
Her flowers are finally starting to fill in. She’s a monster!
Pistils are growing everywhere. She takes up a full quarter of the tent. I can’t believe how big she is.
She’s growing flowers like crazy. She’s finally starting to look frosty too. I still can’t get over her size.
Her branches are starting to get heavy. I may have to give her some support although I’m not sure how yet. I started to put some support hangers on her heavier branches.
Her branches are getting so heavy they’re tipping over. I’ve started putting in tomato supports on them where I can find stems to put the hooks around, which is a little difficult but what a great problem to have!
Her growth seems to be slowing down but she looks like she still has a way to go.
Admittedly I have small hands but I can’t get my hand around any of her buds. Not bad!
She’s fattening up (even more) and getting frosty finally. She’s developed a definite lean that I’ll probably tie up tomorrow.
I woke up to find her bent over but fortunately not broken. I had to tie her to 2 of the tent poles to keep her somewhat upright.
More leaning, more wiring. She’s finally getting frosty.
She’s getting fatter every day. I keep trying to support the branches that are leaning the worst. She’s definitely getting closer!
Getting frostier and fatter every day.
She smells amazing! Still a ton of new pistil growth. Getting heavier and heavier.
Took some “perspective shots” today. Her main cola is 11.5 inches around. The soda can is 8.5 inches around. She’s ridiculous!
She’s definitely slowing down. It’s hard to keep up with all of the dead leaves between all that material but I’m doing my best. Dehumidifier is on the way.
Yellow leaves are becoming more and frequent. I spent about 2 hours pulling them and all the dead material. Her buds are getting harder and she’s definitely fatter every day.
Her trichomes are still pretty milky and normally I would let her go another week or 2 but I’m considering harvesting her early before she develops some mold/rot. The dehumidifier I ordered won’t arrive for another week and the rain and humidity is supposed to continue. It’s a hard decision to make.
I spent about 8 hours pulling dead material and put her into 48 hours of darkness. Then I’ll harvest her. I did all I could, I just hope it’s enough.
