Day 51 - April 01, 2021 Deficiency Issues: Believe I figured out the deficiency issue. Seems my BlueLab pH meter is bugging out. Purchased a new Hanna Growline meter and calibrated. Been measuring 5.8/5.9 PH for the last few weeks, but seems the actual pH was 6.2 to 6.3. pH has likely been reading wrong for at least a couple weeks. My Growline EC/TDS meter was also off but not by much. (Recalibrated as well) Going to make sure to recalibrate every couple weeks versus once a month going forward. Gave Foliar Spray Foliar Spray (9:30PM): * ~1 Gallon RO Water (EC 0.05) * ~100 ML tap water (EC 1.56) * 30ML Liquinox Iron & Zinc per gallon * 5ML CalMag+ per Gallon * 0.5ML Mills Nutrients Vitalize per gallon * PH 5.8 * EC 0.88 Mixed 50-gallons of nutrients * 40-gallons RO Water (EC 0.05) * 10-gallons Tap Water (EC 1.56) *** 4:1 ratio of RO:Tap water gave me 0.39 EC base * 0.5ML Mills Nutrients Vitalize (per gallon) * 8ML Mills Nutrients Basis A&B (per gallon) * 4ML Mills Nutrients Start-R (per gallon) * Excluded Cal-Mag+ and decided to add back in tap water instead for this batch * EC 1.58 * PH 5.8 (Hopefully for real this time) Watering: 03:00AM-3:10AM ~0.33 gallons per pot 11:00AM-11:10AM ~0.33 gallons per pot 8:00PM-8:10PM ~0.33 gallons per pot Reservoir: * tested 9:30PM * 1.98 EC (Recalibrated my Growline EC pen / was reading slightly high) * 6.35 PH (Should have been 5.8 but Bluelab pen was off) * 74.66F * Replacing reservoir tomorrow with corrected solution Lights: * Gavita LEDs On 18-hours (10:00AM - 4:00AM) ** 10:00AM Lights On (100%) ** 9:30PM Reduced intensity to 50% for foliar spray ** 10:30PM Increase intensity to 75% ** 12:00AM Increased intensity to 100% * Gavita LEDs Off 6-hours (4:00AM - 10:00AM) * UV Bars On 8-hours (12:00PM - 8:00PM) Air control: 69F-82F (79F AVG) (Lights On) 66F (Lights Off) 55%-70% (64% AVG) humidity (Lights On) 60%-75% RH (Lights Off) ~1395PPM CO2 (Lights On) ~890PPM CO2 (Lights Off) Day 52 - April 02, 2021 Deficiency Issues: New growth is coming in nice and green. Looks like PH issues are cleared up and ladies are responding well. The previously damaged leaves are uglier than hell, but looks like everything is back on track. :) Looking to switch to 12/12 Sunday. Gave Foliar Spray Foliar Spray (9:00AM before lights on): * ~1 Gallon RO Water (EC 0.05) * ~100 ML tap water (EC 1.56) * 30ML Liquinox Iron & Zinc * 5ML CalMag+ per Gallon * 0.5ML Mills Nutrients Vitalize per gallon * PH 5.8 * EC 0.88 Watering: 010:00AM-10:10AM ~0.33 gallons per pot 02:00PM-02:10PM ~0.33 gallons per pot 6:00PM-6:10PM ~0.33 gallons per pot 8:00PM-8:10PM ~0.33 gallons per pot Reservoir: * tested 10:30PM * 1.65 EC * 5.85 PH * 74.48F * Topped off resevoir to 20-gallons Lights: * Gavita LEDs On 18-hours (10:00AM - 4:00AM) ** 10:00AM Lights On (100%) * Gavita LEDs Off 6-hours (4:00AM - 10:00AM) * UV Bars On 8-hours (12:00PM - 8:00PM) Air control: 69F-82F (80F AVG) (Lights On) 66F (Lights Off) 55%-65% (61% AVG) humidity (Lights On) 60%-70% RH (Lights Off) ~1496PPM CO2 (Lights On) ~950PPM CO2 (Lights Off) Day 53 - April 03, 2021 Deficiency Issues: New growth continues to look nice and healthy. Plants are filling out quickly. Adjusted light cycle to 16/8 and will be switching to 12/12 tomorrow. Been letting the plants fill out the last couple days. Going to work on tucking tall branches under trellis tomorrow. F2 has performed best out of the 8 phenos during veg. Even with all the PH issues F2 and F1 showed very few issues and seem to be able to tolerate much wider range of variables. F2 looks to have best structure and a stalk and branches that are 40-50% thicker than the others. We'll have to see how flower and harvest go, but so far F2 is at the top of the score board. My camera for timelapses keeps shifting when I open and close the tent. Remounted to hopefully get better / more consistent shots. Watering: 010:00AM-10:10AM ~0.33 gallons per pot 02:00PM-02:10PM ~0.33 gallons per pot 6:00PM-6:10PM ~0.33 gallons per pot 8:00PM-8:10PM ~0.33 gallons per pot Reservoir: * tested 10:30PM * 1.61 EC * 5.87 PH * 74.12F * Topped off resevoir to 20-gallons Lights: * Gavita LEDs On 14-hours (10:00AM - 12:00AM) ** 10:00AM Lights On (100%) * Gavita LEDs Off 10-hours (12:00AM - 10:00AM) * UV Bars On 8-hours (12:00PM - 8:00PM) Air control: 69F-82F (82F AVG) (Lights On) 66F (Lights Off) 55%-65% (60% AVG) humidity (Lights On) 60%-70% RH (Lights Off) ~1603PPM CO2 (Lights On) ~930PPM CO2 (Lights Off)

Look like Zinc and Calcium deficiency? Watering with 5.8/5.9pH, 2.06 EC (Runoff 5.8pH, 0.78 EC) Few leaves had small nutrient burn on the tips earlier this week. Nutrient burn appears to have tapered off.
Solved
Leaves. Color - Yellow
Leaves. Color - Dark-brown

Definitely looks like a ph issue. Have you tried to calibrate your ph meter?

Great set up my man, how long are you growing?

@GuerrillaNo_4, Thanks! This is my first grow in about 9-years now. I grew for a couple years previously. Cut a lot of corners back then though and caused myself a lot of headaches lol Trying to be proactive this time around and maintain a bit more control on all the variables.

DId you learn from HygroHybrid?

@greenthumbartisan, im presently in my first hydro grow and am using a torus hydro perfect ph balancer drop in and I haven’t had to adjust ph AT ALL as of this point. Might be due to large res with single plant but they make an inline version as well you might want to look into and could still add to your system at this stage. Was skeptical of their claims and am still in veg but appears to be working! Your plants looks great!

@TheCode, Gotcha, yea I've saw quite a few designs using PVC and scrog on youtube. I also saw a video on one Mr Canucks channel and grabbed the scrog nets he used. (found size that worked perfect for my setup) From there just played around with PVC pips to build a proof of concept for my needs and once I had the measurements down, I built 8x of them. Like 10 years ago I tried growing under 6x 600 watt bulbs and grew some pretty big trees; however, I spent two months having to army man crawl through the room to do basic maintenance lol. That experience was my biggest motivation to try and build something more modular this time around. Still a few quirks I'm running into with my setup, but will hopefully get smoother and smoother over time. 2G per watt will definitely be god . This is my first attempt using LEDs. Been a long time since I've grown, but the tech seems to have come along way since then. So far I've been very impressed. Hoping to see a good harvest them. As far as the pens, couldn't agree more. For the bloody cost, you would think maintenance would be easy. They're a thorn in the side. Every time I test, there's always the thought in the back of my mind, is this thing even accurate? lol Would be nice to not have to worry about pH (feels like its the bulk of the work) Good luck with your goal! hope you hit that 2G/w bar

@greenthumbartisan, Well especialy for newbies when they start this hobby all ph things can look difficult I mean knowing what pen to buy how to keep it working it looks the TDS meter is much easier to maintain and use because it's simple device, but with ph pen it lil bit annoying lol for me i change those cheap pens every year ,every new grow try to calibrate it and when im using it and finish using it put it in distilated water take it out and just put the cap back so idk cant really keep it really nice i dont have a fckn laboratory it;s little bit annoying .
