Germ. Week for this seasons Skywalker OG and Strawberry mother plants👍. They cracked right on schedule and sprouted their tap roots with strength. She was underground about 2/3 days before popp’n ‘er head out. Background/Repetitive Nonsense These plants will be the two mothers this growing season that will be utilized for stage 2 of the pollen chucking project. We’ll be taking clones and stressing the genetics for some fem. pollen using colloidal silver. Instead of trying to reinvent the wheel with landrace genetics, we’re effectively skipping initial hybrid crossing and stabilization, going straight to the polyhybrid mix. These 2 parent strains will form the basis for 8 different F1 polyhybrid combinations and a further S1 back cross of each of the mothers. Not only should we be able to preserve the genetics for both mothers in feminized form but we’ll also be running an entire family of new hybrids after seeding out clones from each on the initial lineup of this summers photoperiods. Method is pretty simple here; once we’ve got our pollen off the two mothers we’ll be clipp’n clones on 4 select strains that have proven results from various respected breeders. We’ll be using those for pollination purposes in what is expected to be a 10 plant recirculating Dutch bucket hydro system. Strain details: Parent strains for self pollination - Skywalker Kush by Reserva Privada Classic kush effects and earthy aroma. The strong kush element of this cultivar will compliment any cross. - Spliffs Strawberry by Spliff Seeds Incredible mix of flavourful terpenes and hard hitting high THC. She’s got some Herer as well as some Diesel in ‘er so an obvious choice for any cross as well. Parent Strains for cross pollination - Lost Coast OG by Emerald Triangle Pakistani Kush x Lemon Thai x Chemdawg #4. Essentially a classic, west coast combo of landrace kush genetics that Cali is famous for, mixed with hard hitting Chemdawg #4. - Spliffs Blueberry by Spliff Seeds (Chocolate Thai x Afghani #1 x Highland Oaxaca) x Northern Lighhts Special. Only 1 bean of this left and the whole purpose is to blend the best of Spliffs Berry strains as a tribute. Awesome breeder and they’ve been very kind to us over the years. - Northern Light by Royal Queen Seeds NL means nuff said. A combo of 11 unknown strains believed to originate from the west coast of North America. This cultivar is a great take on these classic genetics and a perfect compliment to just about any cross. A biased fave of ours.👍 - White Widow by Seedsman Brazilian Sativa x South Indian Indica. This classic strain has been unluckily elusive for us the last couple years. We know the quality of seedsmans version of this cultivar having grown it in the past. Sadly, a very strong performer that never made it to harvest due to an uncontrollable aphid infestation. We’re holding out for some good luck on this run🤞. There really are no other plans for potential substitutes if any of ‘Em fail to germinate. We’ll always come up with alternatives but the selection process has taken some time and thought already. And we’re only at step 1.... still gonna need an assist with pheno hunting all of the crosses so if anyone’s interested in running the testers (when we finally get to that point) just let me know👍😎. Gonna be a Dope ass summer project and can’t wait to see it in full swing🤟. Thanks for stopp’n in y’all🤟👊.

Week 1 of veg. Officially in the books. The seedlings have sprouted without issue and taken well to the soil and purlite. The root juice provides a little added punch during what are multiple and regular mistings. Let’s just hope they continue to round out quickly. The Mars tent has become a little too crowded with all four of the autos now hitting the stretch. Moved these little ones over to the seedling box with the early season veg. And flowers. Figure another couple weeks and we’ll start dunk’n the crosses. That’ll be where the rubber meets the road on this little endeavour. Until next week folks - nutt’n much do’n right now👍. Week 2 of veg. In the books and still not much to tell at this stage. Growth is on point for both the strawberry and Skywalker and they’re developing as expected. We’ll be dunking the 4 other strains to be pollinated this coming weekend. Based on the schedule, they should be ready to produce clones right around the same time that we’re wrapping up the pollen harvest on these 2 parents that are already on the grow. Still another 3 weeks at least before we can clip clones on these ones and root em in for the selfing process. Haven’t decided yet how we want to manage the mothers - gotta control height so we’ll probably top em when we can in an effort to stimulate additional branching (and thus, more additional clones). Sorry folks - it’s all boring as fuck for the first month or so around here🤷. Week 3 in the books and alls good and as expected. Better in fact, these girls are growing fast for a straight soil medium👍. We’ll be topping this week for sure. Watered through the little 1 gal smart pots for the first time this week. Moving forward we’ll be adding in some liquid karma micros every other feed just to give a little boost if needed. Another 2/3 weeks of recovery and growth - hopefully we’ll have a couple cloneable branches for the selfing and pollen. The lady of the house has most of my grow space for spring seedlings so depending on availability, I might just get the S1’s outta the way now and potentially make room for another cross on the big dutchy run with the rest🤷. Kinda up in the air on it right now and the mother tent could get pretty full and unmanageable. Steady as she goes🤟. Week 4 in the books and a little stumble this week. We topped both girls early in the week when things were lookn good. The Skywalker might’ve been a little early for topping and she spent most of the week pretty pissed off with me. The strawberry took it no problem and with the way she’s stretching we should have a number of clone worthy branches within the next couple weeks👍. That’s asssuming we address the most pressing problems of course. The 50/50 soil/purlite mix might as well be a coco medium. All the minimal nutes in the medium were washed out quick and both of these girls have been hurting for nitrogen and calmag supplements. We jumped right in to a full veg. Supplement of base nutes, calmag and a karma additive as well. Expect this to clear up in the next week and we’ll be back on track. This is why photo grows are that much more convenient - you have the luxury of time to correct issues before flower👍. Other than that alls good. The seeds for the cross strains were dunked this week and the germ. Rate was 100%. Give it another week for a cull of the slackers and we’ll be good to go. Thankfully the singular blueberry bean we have left looks like a winner early. Fingers still crossed here - I’ve been trying to grow one of these out for a couple years now and at the end of any available stock. Seeya next week - cloning time is almost here👍. Week 6 on the veg. And we’ve managed to get last weeks deficiency issues sorted. Really just laziness and not paying attention - too many other plants on the grow I guess🤷. The strawberry is running out vigorously and already showing signs of internodal maturity. The Skywalker has finally started to grow out again after the topping. She got stressed pretty hard with the nute deficiency that shortly followed. Either way both should be good to go for some clippings within the next 2/3 weeks. We’ve also pre-selected the winner seedlings for the crosses and thrown them into the seedling box. We’ll toss the others in another week or so once we’re sure that these are the ones we’ll move forward with. Alls going relatively to plan, give or take a week. The finishing touches have been put on the DIY aerocloner and we’re starting to get a little anxious. That said, boredom still reigns here until the girls grow out some👍. Week 6 on the veg. And the girls are back on track and push’n out well. The Skywalker has really taken off while the Strawberry has now started to lag somewhat. They both got a pruning and some LST. Again, just to encourage more branching. Still seeing good growth and still on pace for some cuttings in the next week or two. On the other hand, the seedlings for the crosses did the exact same thing as the mothers did in this base soil mix. Each solo cup lost nute value after about 2 weeks and deficiencies immediately started to show. We had to delay the transplant as a result and give em a shot of base nutes to bring back their vigour. The Lost Coast and Blueberry were a little touch and go but responded. They were predictably pretty rootbound in the solo cups when we got around to up potting into 1gals. The NL and White Widow have been running pretty strong generally minus a little bit of calmag def. we moved Em all to coco in the bigger 1gal. pots. It’s just easier to manage the nute uptake and medium aeration. I said previously I’d probably never grow indoors in soil again and I never seem to listen to myself🙄. I simply CHOOSE to make things harder than they need to be sometimes😒 - lol. I love this solo cup transplant method BTW. It’s pure genius. @BudXs has a good video explanation of it if interested. Additional shoutouts to the originator @420grows on IG! For those of us who run a lot of litttles until there’s need to up-pot, this just makes it so easy🤙😎🤙. We’re well on the way - may even add a couple more cultivars along the way if the moods right😉. Until next week - boredom reigns y’all👍. Week 7 of veg. For these girls and things are starting to roll now. The Strawberry is ready for pulling clones any time but the Skywalker’s still lagging a bit and probably another week or so for that. We really only need one cut of each for now - just to start the stressing for pollen. We’re hoping things pick up though as we’ve got some friends waiting on a few of em for the spring season as well. The others are doing great post re-pot and they’ve all now been topped as well. At this rate and with the spring veggies/flowers consuming most of my grow space, it’ll be a little tricky keeping everything inside to avoid the frosty nights. We’ll have to play some musical plants for awhile it seems🙄. New additions this week as well. AMS seeds came through just in time for the season (cheers and thanks folks👊) so we’ve also dunked a Ghost Train and Boogie Nights to add a little more variety to our crossing options. This is probably a couple too many strains for a micro setup this small but I’d rather push my luck and have options if needed. Other than that - boredom still reigns here as we wait for the ladies to mature. Until next week - peace out growmies🤙. I call it the shotgun approach to selective, unvetted and amateur breeding on a micro scale😉. These 2 parent strains will form the basis for 8-10 different F1 polyhybrid combinations and a further S1 back cross of each of the mothers. Parent Strains for cross pollination ***UPDATE*** We added another 2 strains to the mix just in case we need to spot swap for some more variety. - Ghost Train by AMS Seeds A cross of Alien OG x Ghost Train Haze. Never tried the strain but I’ve heard only good things. This one might be worth mixing with the Strawberry so we’ll see how it goes. - Boogie Nights by AMS Seeds A cross of Kalijah, aka afghani/skunk/diesel/blue heaven X Juanita, aka NYC Diesel/Reina Madre). No idea here so naturally I’m interested😉. ************** - Lost Coast OG by Emerald Triangle Pakistani Kush x Lemon Thai x Chemdawg #4. And we’re only at step 1.... still gonna need an assist with pheno hunting all of the crosses so if anyone’s interested in running the testers (when we finally get to that point) just let me know👍😎. Gonna be a Dope ass summer project and can’t wait to see it in full swing🤟. Thanks for stopp’n in y’all👊.

Week 8 update - veg. Is on strong for each one of em and we’ve finally started to figure out how well manage all these moving into the summer season. The strawberry and Skywalker mothers are now ready for cuts and we’ll be fitting a few into the aerocloner this coming week. The remainder are ready for up potting too with some slight changes in the method. The Strawberry, Skywalker, northern lights, blueberry, ghost train and boogie nights will likely be vegged outside and then flowered in the tent under a massive scrog. Just makes sense to do this and it’ll be a little less bait if they’re inside during flower. The Lost Coast is gonna be a buried mainline and we’ll be selectively topping and pruning for a set number of mains in an effort to keep her from stretching north of 6’ (good luck with that). The widow is making herself a prime candidate for a 4 way LST/scrog and we’re gonna probably tressle this one outside. Both of these will be in 15gal smart pots to limit the amount of watering work. Medium for the indoors will be coco and the outdoor will be in compost amended soil a/purlite and lambs wool pellets for water retention and aeration. I figure we’ll get about 1-2 months of nutritive value out of this mix depending on how many dry amendments get added on transplant. Alls lookn well this week. Next update we’ll be on to the first strawberrry and Skywalker clones for our feminized pollen. Finally gonna start seeing some action on this grow👍😎👍. Finally some significant work to do on this grow. Most of the girls are now firmly in veg. Needing reporting across the board. Couple changes to the plan this week - mainly due to how each strain has responded. The strawberry has earned herself a place in one of the outdoor 15gals. She’s simply too big and strong to be manageable with the others in the tent. We’re not surprised by this at all - such a strong genetic. The Lost Coast is also staying outdoors. Well run this on a buried mainline and trim ruthlessly for height control purposes. The rest are being up potted into 3 or 5 gals for the tent (when it’s finally available again). The White Widow is a perfect scrog plant, the northern lights is still squat and smallish as expected. The blueberry is looking very similar although slightly larger. The Ghost Train and Boogie nights are also well on the way too. The big news of the week is that the strawberry and Skywalker are finally ready for the first round of cloning. We’ll use the cuts from the aerocloner for pollen and also ship off the remainder to friends. Figure we’re about 3 weeks behind at this point but is what it is. Alls good on the grow yall🤟 Background/Repetitive Nonsense These plants will be the two mothers this growing season that will be utilized for stage 2 of the pollen chucking project. Well we’re in the shit now that’s for sure. 10 weeks in to veg. A bunch of unruly plants that just want to flower, a delayed timeline on the clones, and the last harvest that’s screwing with the whole damn schedule 🤬. That’s the summary anyway. The strawberry is outdoors doing its thing and lookn great. The Lost Coast was up potted to a 15gal. And outside no more than 12 hours before a fuckin squirrel knocked a vase on top of the mainline - splitting the stem right to the medium. We taped it up and the plant looks like it’s gonna live but so much for the monster mainline we had planned. Now I t’ll be babying a stunted and injured runt all season🤬. The other plants inside are a running lesson in canopy management. The widow is unruly and had to be topped on all the current mains. The Skywalker is similar. The others are still lagging a little, primarily due to their indica leaning nature. The boogie nights might not be worthy of the indoor spot as she’s very small in comparison to the others. Time will tell here as I’m also still waiting on some materials for the eventual scrog net (thanks a lot covid) which could drag this out even longer. Clones started popp’n roots in the aerocloner on day ten🤟. It’s just more proof that even in less than ideal conditions, as long as you have a strong, mature cutting - its not a question of if, but simply a matter of when.😎😎😎 32% avg. Week 10 of veg. With like at least a month more to go. The aerocloner worked like a charm and the cuts were 13 days exactly from snip to pot. The Dutch bucket run is finally finished to free up the tent for the mothers now too so, between that and the clones it’s been a busy helluva few days. Got a pile of shit to clean and disinfect, changed over the whole tent for what will be a giant scrog, potted up 11 clones (a few for some friends) and now we’re gett’n ready for the pollen chuck.😅😅😅 the tents gonna be perfect for it if I can get a little more uniformity between the plants the next 4 weeks. Parts are still on order, the pollen clones still need to start the transition etc. Etc. So really no choice but to hold on launching flower anyway. Just a lot of extra maintenance to line up the crossing sched. Properly and minimize the chances of accidental pollination. In summary - the saga continues👍😎👍😎 Background/Repetitive Nonsense These plants will be the two mothers this growing season that will be utilized for stage 2 of the pollen chucking project. Week 12 update - it’s just a giant clusterfuck of a million different things Go’n down at the same time right now. Probably shoulda spaced this all out a little better. We got the clones on transition now gett’n sprayed twice daily with colloidal silver, we’ve got 2 outdoors just do’n their thing, and finally we have the rest of the mothers in the tent. The tent is a concern right now. These are some monster plants that are only going to get much, much larger. We’re probably looking at launching flower real soon just due to what will be headroom issues. Got the scrog parts on order but thats one hell of a slow boat with delivery being approx 1 month out. So everythings a bit of a giant headache right now and I find myself extremely worried about Em getting pollinated if we launch early. Still not quite sure how I’m gonna balance this. Other than that - it’s all still canopy management, topping, lollipopping etc. Etc. 13 god damned weeks of veg. And starting to get really frustrating. We solved the pollen concern and have found a place to move the man/girls once they start spraying. Still waiting on the boogie nights to grow up some more. Still too young for clones just yet. For the rest it’s just constant defoing and stripping. The widow has been the worst to tame - such a strong plant and way ahead of the rest. We’re keeping it down as much as we can. At this point I no longer care if the scrog parts show up. As soon as I can take reliable cuts from the boogie nights - these girls are going to flower. We’ll justsupercrop everything if we have to. Might have no choice just for the sake of convenience at this point🤷. Week 14 of veg. And this marathon just keeps on going. That said, things are finally about to get interesting as a whole lotta prep work is now underway for the next phase of the project. The she-males - they’re off to the races now and showing first signs of pistils. We’ve been spraying with colloidal silver for at least 1.5 weeks now so I’m expecting to see some nanners and balls in short order👍. We also found a place where we can keep em for a week or two (away from the mothers) while they spew pollen from their respective manginas😎. We’ll be pollinating more clones in the cabinet next door to the mothers but this will be “painted” and very localized so hopefully we won’t see too much (if any preferably) migration. The mothers - same ol, same ol - they’re growing…. The lost coast survived and will do well for sure. The strawberry outdoor is a leafy cluster fuck but the multiple trellis we’ve been weave through the bamboo has worked to manage height so far👍. The boogie nights is still about a week away from cutting maturity. Scrog net parts showed up on time but were the wrong size for 1/2” pvc?.?.?..? WTF Amazon - how is it even possible to get that part of the description wrong??? No matter - some how ended up sourcing others (correctly sized to standard sched. 40) locally and they’ll be here in a couple days. The ghost train is all cotton balling out now and I’m still disappointed she’s an auto. Not sure how we’re gonna manage this one and might move er outside. The next round of clones - come’n up in a week or so. Gett’n time where i can to build out the new table for the recirc. System they’re going in to. A little more table area, integrated the drain line down the middle and I offset some of the framing to allow for drainage collection/redirection in the event of leaks. Slapped the basics together pretty quick and soon it’ll be paint and finishing touches🤩👍🤩. Shout out to @druidnutrients - these folks were kind enough to let me test drive there all-in-one nute line. Never gonna turn down an opportunity to simplify the feed sched. So let’s give it a go👍 Cheers 🍻😄👊. Gonna be gett’n busy real soon over here. Good things grow’n folks👍. I call it the shotgun approach to selective, unvetted and amateur breeding on a micro scale😉. These 2 parent strains will form the basis for 8-10 different F1 polyhybrid combinations and a further S1 back cross of each of the mothers. And we’re only at step 1.... still gonna need an assist with pheno hunting all of the crosses so if anyone’s interested in running the testers (when we finally get to that point) just let me know👍😎. Gonna be a Dope ass summer project and can’t wait to see it in full swing🤟. Thanks for stopp’n in y’all👊

Week 15 - uggghhh - yes it’s silly and ridiculous. Yes, I’ve lost my patience and No, we haven’t yet moved to flower. That said - we got balls starting to form on the she-male strawberry clones but the Skywalkers are still being stubborn and haven’t quite turned over yet. The scrog net parts arrived and we’ve got that in place now. We were gonna use a store bought mesh net but that shit is flimsy as hell so we went with rubber wire ties instead. It’s not gonna be pretty here either. The net is set at the max height for a 12” cola to bud out at 18” distance from the lights so our headroom is essentially gone. Multiple plants at multiple levels and stages which require some booster seats…. This will end up a giant mess but there is simply no other option with plants this size. Because the she-males are being so stubborn I’ve held on cutting the next run of clones for pollination. Can’t hold this off indefinitely or I’ll screw the mothers over during flower so gonna give the lady boys another week to pump out pollen sacks and hopefully… then… we can take our clones and move on. Side note to that - new micro dutch bucket table is nearing the final finishing touches and should be good to go once the clones have rooted🤩🤩🤩. Can’t wait to test run this set up - it’s gonna be soooo much easier than all this hand watering bullshit I thought I was finished with👌. If ur still taggn along - I might finally have something interesting to report in the next week🤞. Week 16 - ugh, gross. Another week of veg. But, mercifully, the last. The strawberry is now kickn out nanners full tilt and the Skywalker is only barely starting to show its man balls. We’ll be collecting pollen in short order and that means it’s time to start the next round of clones👍👍👍. The scrog net is down and all the plants got a final massive lollipop and defo at the end of the week. The plant breakdown as follows; - the white widow is a beast and will be very hard to control during the stretch. We’ve had to top it multiple times now just to keep the height down. She’ll be our strongest performer and likely some winning buds. - the Skywalker will be a pretty close second and is showing excellent heft for an indica dominant strain. - the northern lights is squat as expected but very vigorous also. - the blueberry is also strong and squat. Probably a good thing for these plants as the tent is gonna be crammed full. - the boogie nights has taken a weird turn for the worse. She’s been relatively slow in terms of growth and is now starting to show signs of a strange leaf deficiency I haven’t yet seen or identified. No reason for this to be happening so who knows what’s go’n on there. - the ghost train is ruled out, expelled from the tent to flower under the ball of fire. Smells nice, filling out well. Still pisses me off it’s an auto. Flower show is now imminent. Finally time to strap in and start tuck’n👍. Finally, oh sweet merciful god. For a veg. This long I should’ve been grow’n grinspoon! - the first official week of the flip is here😅😎🤟. Welcome to the SCROG of all mothers baby yeahhhhhh. We knew it was always gonna end up like this and a net was gonna be the way to go with these beasts. The widow is outta control and easily gonna take half the sq/ft. Of the tent. It’ll be extremely difficult to control. The rest will do what they can and take their own place on the screen. It’s all nip, tuck and tie for the next month while they transition. As for the outdoor mothers - good thing the strawberry isn’t inside. She’s already massive and woulda been much much bigger. We’ve already weaved here mains like a braid across what was her top and she’s just continued to side branch and stretch despite it. Awesome plant. The Lost Coast OG was a lost cause when the main split but since then - she’s responded very well to the tape repair. Busted clear of it a couple weeks back and is now looking like a pretty large plant as well. The clone she/males of the strawberry are about to burst so we moved em out to another room just to be safe. The Skywalker is herming out properly now too. The collection process shouldn’t interfere with the flowering process. It’s the part where we start paint’n on that’s got me worried. Just have to wait and see there. Meanwhile, the new dutchy table system is receiving some finishing touches and almost ready for its inaugural run of plants.😎🤟😎 Overall, things are progressing well and a lot of patience and hard work are now beginning to start paying their dividends. Still lots of time to fuck this up in some way though so until we see the end… 🤞🤞🤞 Background/Repetitive Nonsense These plants will be the two mothers this growing season that will be utilized for stage 2 of the pollen chucking project. Week 2 of the stretch is at its end and as expected, all plants are now starting to fill out the net. This widow is a monster and proving very difficult to tame and keep down. As long as her stretch starts to slow up after this week I think we should alright with her. The rest of the grow is a major concern. The males are off site and doing their thing. Amazingly still haven’t thrown pollen yet so that’s a big waiting game. The clones are a serious concern. They’ve all been overly stressed and only four have begun to root at this point. Wasn’t sure what was going on and then I noticed em…. Little tiny fuckers crawling up the stems…. Yep - aphids again….. 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬. I guess I should be happy that this was noticeable early on and I’ve cleaned em off as best as possible and started spraying diluted soap and water as a preventative for now. Also found some old optic Foliar spray which I never used. It’s supposed to be a bug zapper too so we’ll spray em down with this also. May have to release a lady bug Bomb too but it’s really touch and go between that or (gulp) scrapping the clones to save the flowering mothers from a potential infestation. Tough decisions lay ahead. There’s always the option of reveging some new cuts and that might be the only way to go. We’ll see what the week brings and go from there. This is the worst possible thing to happen right now and could potentially pooch the whole breeding lineup for at least another 3 months…. Say what you want about the grow game - there’s always something that fucks with the sched. 🤞🤞🤞🤞 Background/Repetitive Nonsense These plants will be the two mothers this growing season that will be utilized for stage 2 of the pollen chucking project. Week 3 of the stretch is now in the books and like a fortune telling doomsday proponent, my predictions from last week have unfortunately come true. The scrog of all mothers has witnessed bud stacking across all plants and each have started building on their respective cotton balls. All of Em look great and the tops sit about 6” above the net. This leaves us another 6” to our max headroom and light distance for the grow. That should be perfect to allow for some additional stretch as we move in to full bloom. The canopy evened out better than expected and haven’t even had to supercrop anything yet. Aside from the Skywalker, pretty much all of Em have been lollipopped right up to the underside of the net and there’s tons of light penetration after the wife ran a huge defo👍. Only one problem - as expected, found some god damned aphids have made a home the blueberry. Not to worry here though - talked to the local grow shop and they apparently have a fool proof murder method for these fuckers and we’re picking some up today before it gets outta control. What’s also of interest is that these grow tents (especially with saturated pots) don’t breathe like my cabinets do at all. Humidity and heat levels are uncommonly high and you almost need a powered air intake even running the exhaust on full (which was never ever necessary before). The new type of environment may actually suggest a need for co2 supplementation in the future but we’ll see how this flower cycle goes and take it from there👍. Which brings us to the clones… man, I hate being right. No wonder only half of em rooted. These little aphid eggs and nymphs have been sucking the life out of em for some time now. Thought we got most of Em only to find an entire fucking colony under a fan leaf that I must’ve missed some how. Either way - had to scrap the whole run. Only option now is to run a new batch of clones on a reveg. Not ideal and will take more time but I’m not about to scrap the whole line of genetics on one harvest if I can avoid it. The 2 outdoors which brought in the aphids are monsters. They’re both suffering from the advancing aphids and the strawberry is beginning to enter flower. Just glad we seem to have an option to rectify that problem. I’ll upload some pics and a review of this aphid killer once it’s in motion. If it works it’ll be a game changer for us as aphids have proven a common issue during the summer. The males - fuck this bullshit. The strawberry is dropping pods like mad but, without any pollen. He/she is throw’n blanks which is a damn shame. Unlikely we’ll derive any pollen from these ones. Not the end of the world and the mom has some serious fasciation anyway which I’m not at all happy with. The Skywalkers - still waiting on what they might produce. Regardless we do have backup pollen from another Skywalker if needed. It’ll yield reg. Seeds but that’s better than nothing at this point. I’m itch’s to run out the clones in the now complete 10 plant dutchy system and it would be disappointing after all the labour inputs if we couldn’t. So another grow of bumbling setbacks beyond my control. Let’s just hope we can finish this one strong and reach the end goal of some new seeds (with a healthy harvest to boot). Until next week - thanks for take’n a peek👍👊. Background/Repetitive Nonsense These plants will be the two mothers this growing season that will be utilized for stage 2 of the pollen chucking project. ***UPDATE*** Sadly - the ghost train turned out to be an auto so cloning her out as part of the breeding project is a no-go. Really disappointed about this but at least we still have a ready backup strain on the lost coast og to take her place. - Boogie Nights by AMS Seeds A cross of Kalijah, aka afghani/skunk/diesel/blue heaven X Juanita, aka NYC Diesel/Reina Madre). No idea here so naturally I’m interested😉. ************** - Lost Coast OG by Emerald Triangle Pakistani Kush x Lemon Thai x Chemdawg #4.

4th week of flower is now in the books and frost levels on all of Em are starting to look VERY promising. The Skywalker looks like it’ll be a sugar monster for sure. It’s not an ideal scrog nor was it expected to be but, the net is certainly a benefit to keep the canopy even and wow - once all these sites ripen it’ll be just a blanket of 6”-12” colas👍👍👍. ***Pest control update - so we go to the hydro shop and ask for this guys ultra secret aphid killer and we come out with $40 worth of some random granular amendment in a Tupperware container. No freakn clue what the hell this stuff is. Directions are that each container will treat about 10L of solution and for each 3-5gal. Pot - administer about 1L per. The plants roots absorb the material and after absorption throughout the plant, the aphids feed on it and it should wipe em out in about 24-48 hours. Well , 48 hours post administration and haven’t seen a single one👍🙏👍. lol have no idea what this stuff is but it’s supposed to be consumption safe (although it will have totally left the plant by harvest). We got extra for the next time this happens too👍👍. New batch of clones is in the clones now. Not until recently did I ever have concerns about rooting clones but this entire project has been one frustrating set back or adjustment after another. Add a whole bunch of hardware upgrades and shit into the mix and it’s just been a labour intensive process. We haven’t chopped a plant in like 2 months which is a looooong time for us. Just feels like we’ve been missing a part of the cycle which is weird. I call it the shotgun approach to selective, unvetted and amateur breeding on a micro scale😉. These 2 parent strains will form the basis for 8-10 different F1 polyhybrid combinations and a further S1 back cross of each of the mothers. Not only should we be able to preserve the genetics for both mothers in feminized form but we’ll also be running an entire family of new hybrids after seeding out clones from each on the initial lineup of this summers photoperiods. Week 5 of flower - all pest issues resolved and more additional nute issues realized. All mothers are doing wonderfully save the Skywalker which we discuss more on below. The pollen chucking project has been dealt a significant blow by fate unfortunately. Our 1st clone run for the breeding stock was decimated by the aphids. Now we’ve also confirmed that neither the strawberry or Skywalker clones have yielded any fem. pollen. Both plants just threw blanks…. The only retrospective positives we have here are that each of the main mothers were somewhat deficient in some way. The strawberry mom has a couple of massively fasciated stems while the Skywalker has started to demonstrate a significant and very concerning calmag deficiency (even despite current supplementation). You’d think that with this kind of news, BW and is lady of hotness were finished with the pollen chuck…. However, our high headed heros were not without a backup plan if all else were to fail😉. There just so happens to be a collection of backup reg. Skywalker OG as well as some untested 707 Headband pollen that was preserved just for such an instance of nonsense👍👍👍. While it will change the breeding outlook significantly, we’re still gonna throw down some dreamy crosses for testing - despite all this bullshit adversity. I was really hoping to be able to work with all fem testers and not have to drill down quite as much on a fire cross but that’s just not gonna happen here. It’s true that you can’t fully plan or rush these things. The New run of clones are on the bake in the aerocloner. Only been 6 days and already got roots on one of the white widows. We’re in the midst of a summer vacation so setting up the final digs for the young plants in the dutchy system is going to be a bit of a pain in the ass. Regardless - the timing should be just perfect for both clone pollination and flower cycle completion on the mothers. We should still end up with a few tantalizing crosses, albeit reg. Seeds that will require some careful refinement. Whateves - this was never gonna be a once and done affair anyway🤷. Background edits and updates to follow 👍🤟👍. Who knows what week the plants think it is now. I needed another problem on this grow like I needed a hole in the head…. Somehow the damn timer got tripped to its outlet mode and the plants have been on a reveg. For like a week🤬🤬🤬. I mistake this stupid would almost be funny if I wasn’t so pissed off with myself. Feels like absent mindedness that’s caused this and it’s now put a put a banner grow, in mid flower, in serious jeopardy. Hoping that correcting the issue will revert them quickly but the damage is already pretty bad. The white widow is suffering from a lack of nitrogen - expected for a plant trying to reveg. I guess. The rest have varying, lesser degrees of problems but mostly in the new wonky leaves come’n out. If we lose the grow it would be heartbreaking but it’s still not a total loss. All the clones rooted very quickly (save the boogie nights which is touch and go) - they were actually left a little too long due to a summer vacation. We’ve since transplanted em in to the new dutchy system and so far - systems primed and leak free👍. It’d be really nice to have this part of the cycle go off without a hitch. We’ll leave a couple clones in the small res on dwc. Probably spike those with the 707 pollen while the rest will get the Skywalker. The new dutchy system is our big positive. Finally finished, charged up and purring like a kitten. Now let’s just hope that this inaugural run of clones will produce the magic strain we’re looking for👍. Until next weeks fuck up… mischief managed. Background/Repetitive Nonsense These plants will be the two mothers this growing season that will be utilized for stage 2 of the pollen chucking project. Week 22 of our painful result on the mothers. Reveg. Is full on and the plants are all trying desperately to figure out how to flower again. A couple days ago I was resolved to the fact that this cycle of mothers was not going to be anywhere near our acceptable standards for a high quality bud harvest. We lamented and cried a little…. Then we got ridiculously high to numb the pain…. And then I had a brilliant thought! The whole purpose has been to pollinate clones this whole time. Now that our stable of clones are well into rooting and reveg. We can simply use the mothers for breeding instead and salvage a harvest of high quality buds with the clones! It’s not an ideal situation and will result in less smokable buds but that said (and as per the outdoor photos), quantity won’t be a problem this year as usual😉. I figure a week or two to see what happens with em and we’ll commence the sperm spray😎. We’ve also taken some additional steps and commenced with impregnating the Spliff strawberry on a couple of select branches. This plant is proving a beauty as expected - even despite a little fasciation she’s a monster🤩🤩. Method - we placed some pollen into a brown paper bag (both some SOG in one and some 707 in another. - we marked 2 branches with zip ties to keep track of which pollen is where. - we wrapped the branches in each bag and twisty tied it closed to the stem base for about 12 hours. - after remove the bags and to prevent further pollination on the rest of the plant we sprayed down the pollinated branches and then the entire plant with a light mist of water. When ur outdoors this isn’t perfect science and there will be some additional seed that pops out elsewhere. Regardless, it’s a guarantee the 707 is viable but I’m none too sure about the Skywalker stuff. It may have been subjected to moisture while in storage and could be inert at this point. No telln for a few weeks🤞. The dutchy system, despite significant time to set up has been better than expected - all the plants are happy, added a Skywalker clone to the mix for flowering as well. They seem to be taking to the Druid nutes just fine. Great system and she’s pretty much on cruise control right now👌. All told - the pollen chuck is not yet a complete failure. We’re definitely gonna have some cross beans - they only question that remains is how many different strains. Thanks again for hanging with the longest grow ever👍👊. Week 24 of this debacle and the girls are finally back on the flower. Albeit, an entirely renewed flowering cycle though. How this will translate to the lower buds that had opportunity to develop fully…. Who knows🤷. They were reveging so long that you can no longer really make out any developed buds - they’re all now covered in new pistils so there’s no splitt’n em up now. Pollen chucking has also now commenced and we threw some Skywalker og on a couple select colas of each plant. The hope again, that we’re still able to salvage useable bud from the mothers. That said, not even sure if this pollen is gonna be viable at this point. We’ve got the outdoors on select pollination as well so between that and these - we’ll get beans from somewhere damnit! On that note - we also chose not to pollinate the Lost Coast OG outdoor. That was a mistake because this plant is a winner through and through. Stable, consistent, shorter stature, no deficiencies and just a gorgeous plant all around. The Strawberry is definitely pollinated from the 707. Possibly the Skywalker too but only time will tell. She’s also developing some white powdery mildew… it just never ends. Spray’n it down with a diluted h2o2 solution and hoping that keeps it under control. Time will tell. We’re still in the middle of all this but hopefully no further issues till we finally hit the end. All the delays and reveging is going to make for an incredibly busy fall harvest😬. Till next week - stay frosty y’all🤟. Background/Repetitive Nonsense These plants will be the two mothers this growing season that will be utilized for stage 2 of the pollen chucking project. Week 25 and harvest purgatory continues. Been so long since we chopped a plant I’m starting to wonder if we’ll remember how🙄😔. The mothers inside are firmly into bud stacking stage. They’re in week 2 of flower but Lookn more like late week 3. I’ve heard that about reveg’d plants so if they speed up at all - I’ll be happy. Also got totally fed up with all the issues this week and decided to release all the SOG pollen that we have left into the tent fans. I’m really, really worried about it’s viability and if it doesn’t take against the plants - this will’ve been the longest failed grow of my career. We’ll still get a bunch of bud sure - but that wasn’t the ultimate goal. The outdoors are a tale of two strains. The Lost Coast is a dream grow still. Strong, lush, resistant and stacking thick bud stalks like crazy. The Strawberry…. I know this cultivar all too well. She’s a lanky sativa outdoors that’s for sure. We’ve had to tie her back to the stakes due to the bud weight and the smell coming off er is straight up incredible. In truth, it’s an excellent strain but not one designed for our outdoor northern climate. She is prone to bud rot and we do expect some before this is all over. We’ve also got a notable nitrogen deficiency that continues to advance despite attempts to rectify it. Also now have white powdery mildew to manage until the end of the grow. In summary - awesome plant, awesome strain, wicked effects BUT - I’d rate it a 9/10 on the grow difficulty scale. A much more manageable plant when indoors. Meh - feeln a bit down this week. Didn’t take any photos. So sick of maintaining these girls - probably another 6-7 weeks left and the indoors were supposed to be done by now. We also got a buncha new beans to pop as well. my trigger fingers gett’n super itchy! ***Update*** The feminization process didn’t take at all with the strawberry or the Skywalker so it’ll be reg. Seed crosses with only Skywalker and some other 707 Headband that we have in the vault. ********* Strain details: Parent strains for self pollination - Skywalker Kush by Reserva Privada Classic kush effects and earthy aroma. ***UPDATE*** The strawberry had to come out of this breeding run to wait for a better mother that hasn’t been attacked by aphids. It’s been a tough battle this season and we’ve had to make a couple of heartbreaking sacrifices already. Week 26 - the girls have pretty much started from scratch in terms of the flowering cycle and figure were about 3-4 weeks in give or take. We floated all the remaining Skywalker pollen we have but again - viability is a concern so worst case scenario: we’ll only have a crap done of pure bud and no seeds…. Time will tell. The biggest problem with the reveg is that it’s changed the bar in terms of canopy height with the second stretch. The added size and bulk has witnessed the rh skyrocket in to the 80s and 90s at times. We’ve started going plant by plant trimming out and moving up the under carriage. So far we’ve pulled a ton of half dead, undeveloped stems and larf out the under carriage - the same stuff you tend to see at harvest on the branches that just couldn’t get enough light. The dead leaf matter is abundant - even the reveg. Petals are yellowing in areas and dying off so we’re trying to be super diligent about cleaning this crap out as well. It’s been a giant pain in the ass but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t getting just a little excited for the end. While some tester seeds would be nice, I’ll take only usable bud too at this point. The saga continues yall👍. Background/Repetitive Nonsense These plants will be the two mothers this growing season that will be utilized for stage 2 of the pollen chucking project. Week 27 - 4 weeks into the new flower cycle and bud development is a lot more advanced, much earlier post-transition too. It’d be great if these finished out early as we’ve got some extra cuts on the white widow that may need a home in a few weeks. Couldn’t resist - it’s such a vigorous plant that we’re gonna keep it for the next pollen chuck if the schedule aligns. Chopped out a massive amount of larf from the undercarriage and we were ruthless here due to super high humidity and ideal conditions for botrytis. Still hoping on some useable seed and/or bud but this whole thing has been touch and go since the partial reveg. Alls good for now. Thanks for take’n a look. As for the outdoor… meh. Like everyone around here we’ve fallen victim to far too much sustained rain recently and the WPM on the strawberry has really set in. The harvest window has cracked open slightly with about 2 weeks to peak. Still waiting on chop day though so it’s 50/50 if there’ll be anything usable on this plant. In a last ditch effort to get er to the end we’re gonna strip most of her fan leaves now. That’ll alleviate the WPM somewhat (in combo with a daily peroxide spray). We’ll likely chop early too. The bud wash should greatly assist with and offset any lingering small amounts but she’s gotta get there first and this strain is not known for mold resistance. Time will tell. The Lost Coast OG - an absolute champ. Lush and green, came through the rains just fine and should be a great smoke when it’s all said and done. Not long for either now - should be better part of 2 weeks for the strawberry and then whenever the og says fini👍. Week 5 of the reflower and it’s honestly a whole lotta limbo right now. We just have no idea where we stand with these indoor girls. The widow looks done as she should be honestly. Given the other dying leaf petiole issues we may chop this one in the next few days. Did a good check of the colas and not a seed in sight… looks like the pollen never took anywhere👎. Whateves, just glad we’ve saved the genetics. The rest are less far along and seemingly much more typical so who knows. They’ll be a good bit of bud when alls said and done though👍. The outdoor - were there! The Strawberry could go another week maybe 10 days but she showing as done now. Solid 20% Amber trichs through the entirety of each main. We’ve got 3 days of rain upcoming and already some bud rot that had to be trimmed out. no sense in tempting fate here so we’re take’n er down this weekend. The Lost Coast OG still needs a little longer but loookn great also. Truly fantastic set of genetics and glad we still have a couple more beans of this👍. The failed 2nd edition of the pollen chuck is finally wrapping up. So this one is best represented in an older diary of mine that I did indoors. As far as the grow is concerned - she should stay indoors in my opinion. She grows and flowers vigorously but is a little prone to botrytis when conditions are right. In my climate it was a bad choice to put her outdoors for these reasons. We had to chop a week or so earlier than preferred but it is alas, not a choice with our weather. She’s on the dry now after the wash and final trim with yield details to follow. Here’s the thing - we did pull out a few seeds that weren’t on any of the marked branches. So potentially two crosses that these could be🤷. Either 707 or Skywalker so in a way - mission success already. Once she dries out we’ll know for sure if we were able to derive an identifiable cross🤞🤞🤞🤞. In the end - nice to come away with something other than just good bud🤟. ***UPDATE*** With this entry, the last 9 months of bullshit issues become totally worth it. Following the rack dry we we’re able to pull out a handful of seeds from both pollinated branches and a good number more of mixed genetics. It’s not the most ideal outcome when you’re Lookn for copious seed but after the issues we experienced, it’s a huge win. If there was 1 cross we wanted out of this project it was the strawberry/Skywalker cross and we juuuust barely got there. We have 11 identified seeds - just enough to make some more babies and hold on to to the F1 version for good👍👍👍👍. As a bonus we also got about 9 seeds of the 707 headband cross too - again, another bullet in the chamber as we hunt for the elusive omega strain. Two crosses, bred using some of the very best genetics we’ve ever experienced and most importantly - an opportunity to create something truly special😎. Let’s fuck’n do this!

It’s been an accursed year for the grow cycle and we ran in to pretty much every problem you could have with these plants. Aphids, WPM, bud rot. The plant grew strong but the genetic does have some inherent fasciation qualities that were really prevalent with this plant. Not enough to consider unsuitable for breeding though. The bud quality of this strain alone and the overpowering high are just too good not to utilize👌🤟. Stay tuned - the rest are comin down in short order…

Brought this one down this week as well. The last of our outdoor for the year and it was absolutely a little earlier than preferred. She also came down with some serious bud rot in the last couple of days and we lost most of the major tops as a result. Yield will be significantly reduced on this grow. That said - the qualities of this strain are admirable. She held up really well in the early stages after a bitch ass squirrel dropped a vase on er from above. This split the main stem right to the root ball and my partner in crime just couldn’t let er go and nursed her slowly back to health. She recovered like a champ and grew almost On her own the whole season. She also held up against the rainy last couple months without issue and powered through it. Despite the low yield and early harvest, the smell coming off the buds at chop was potent and strong. The buds themselves are dense as hell - indicative of a hardened outdoor pedigree. Indoors this plant would be a monster of quality smoke. Final numbers and smoke test to follow in a couple weeks🤟. ***Update*** Final numbers are in and the yield wasn’t nearly as bad as we thought. Thanks mainly to some really dense nugs post-chop. Still haven’t sampled yet but already very impressed with the terp. Profile. She’s got that signature earthy Kush foundation. Can’t wait to see what else comes out on the vape/smoke.👍👍👍

Brought this one down with the Skywalker. It’s likely too early for her as with the rest but she caught some significant WPM and bud rot as well so there simply wasn’t an option. Meh - we’ll see what it shakes out after the bud wash and trim. Again - we’ve either got some solid gold bud this run or a bunch of garbage grass that can go in to bubble hash. ***Update*** She dried out to almost 2oz. Which is pretty good for this genetic all things considered. Again, there are no guarantees the bud quality is any good and as far as we can see so far - no seeds. Shame it is and a waste of a good plant. Either way - we’ll see how her clones fare on the next dutchy cycle. ***UPDATE*** Finally got around to initial sampling of this one and results are very surprising. This is easily the hardest hitting strain in the whole run. Very strange because it was supposed to be the mildest. The smoke is still a little rough as she’s still curing but the effects are crazy. She hits almost immediately like a 10pound hammer to the brain. It’s a little racey at higher dosages and a phenomenal initial high. It mellows out into a strong narcotic after effect, promoting drowsiness and couchlock. A perfect strain for those lazy evenings by the tv. I am super impressed with how this turned out. She wasn’t supposed to be anything like this.

As with the rest of these genetics, we’ve made copies of em all so that we can do both the pollen chuck and a proper flowering cycle to get the full experience. This one has always been small and slight but remains as a classic take on Northern Lights with a great, mellow high. She’s a staple and a great bedrock for the predominantly sativa strain we’ll be crossing her with. Better luck on the next cycle we hope🤞

Overall awesome strain, just not on this grow. This particular plant was especially prone to severe calmag deficiency and it was practically incorrectable the whole grow. End of the day - this was one of the plants that took the reveg better than the others and thankfully - the bud rot and dead leaf matter was limited. Again, just another disappointing outcome but we should at least have some half decent bud to smoke. ***Update*** Pretty decent haul for what this girl went through. We weren’t concerned about making more seed with this girl - especially due to a notable calmag hunger unlike anything we’ve ever seen before. Regardless the bus structure was typical of this genetic and she did fare very well against the reveg. We’ll see but like the others - we’ll probably wait until we’ve flowered it out proper on the next dutch cycle.

Got another 2 clones of this on the grow in the dutchy system now so we’ll see how she does with a stable light cycle. If you fail, try and try again. Thanks for taking a look and hoping to have something quality to show on the next one👍

At long last she’s finally done. Definitely a moment too late after the reveg. And prolonged flowering. Overall she finished out as best as could be expected with a significant amount of bud rot. Real pain in the ass to trim and ugly as sin too. All that being said, the buds are hard as boulders and some of em are just monsters. She’ll weigh out really heavy once dry👍. She’s also dank AF too. Gotta think the smoke will be pretty insane but it’s entirely a crapshoot given what this grows witnessed. I figure 20% chance we got any seed from the pollen chuck. Smoke report and final numbers to follow. ***update*** Big time haul given what this girl went through. I doubt the smoke will be any good but who knows - might make the giveaway stash. Can’t wait for it to flower out again so we can get the full experience👍👍👍. ***UPDATE*** Sooooooo, happened to get impatient and had to take a sample of this fresh off the dry. Clearly our abilities to recognize when a plant is finished haven’t been lacking over these last long months. This girl is some how a dream of a stone😍😍🤩. Maybe it’s just a new strain (we’ve been smoking the same 7/8 for months now), or it’s the strain itself. Either way - if had me walking around all confused for like 20 minutes tonight which is damn hard to do. I am now thrilled that we’ve got a copy of this in the back pocket for a sample of er in her true glory. Pollen might’ve taken on a couple colas but still can’t be sure at this point. She must’ve weathered the reveg well because wow - this is some heady, Stoney shit right here👍👍👍. Positive end to say the least, given the challenges.

Appreciate the thoughts and comments from everyone who hung in this long to see the end. This cycle is mercifully coming to a close and I’ve finally got more beans on the dunk. Can’t remember a harder grow cycle to manage and glad it’s finally over.

Through 6 weeks of the reveg/re-flower and we’re down to 2 remaining plants in the tent. The Boogie Nights and the Blueberry. Both have a little more to give here and the trichs are getting real close to that 20% Amber benchmark. Still a little ways to go we think though and we have em on a prolonged flush just to ready the medium in advance for the next run. I’m doing this with the harvested plant pots as well. Saves time on getting in use for the next run and I’ve historically found better results when the medium is reused for subsequent grows. These 2 have fared the best with the lighting mishap and we do suspect that while yield will again, be lower than hoped - the quality should still be there when alls said and done. These girls gotta get on their horse and finish out. The next run is on the early bake in the mini cabinet and we’re gonna need the tent space real soon to let ‘em spread out and continue the cycle of ganja growth😎. Until next week and possibly, the full end to this run???? Please god (if u indeed exist), make it so👍

Through 7 weeks of reflower for these last 2 girls and they ain’t going a lick over 8 that’s for sure. Ready or not, they get the chop at the end of this week. We’re finally bringing this cycle to a close. It’s been a fucked up adventure that’s for sure but thankfully, it wasn’t a total loss. We’ve still snagged at least 2 crosses - 1 of which that was the most desirable. It should’ve been so much better but at this point, we’ll take what we can get👍. The finish is almost here - thanks for ride’s shotgun for it🤟👊

Automatic 8 star rating for this plant. Like everything else that spliff puts out this one was a champ. She reacted the least to the partial reveg. And also fought off the WPM in late flower much better than the rest. She’s extremely terpy and the sweet berry scent coming off er is incredible. Just a great plant all around. I’m still disappointed with the outcome and probably won’t even smoke this until I can sample from the clones still in flower. Just to make sure we get the full first sample effect😉. Highly doubt the pollen took but we’ll wait for the dry to see what we’re left with. It would be so amazing if just this one plant yielded some seed. Sadly I’m fully out of this genetic and I had much bigger plans for er😔. ***Update*** Of course we couldn’t wait to try it and ended up doing just that. It’s exactly as I expected too😎. In comp to spliffs strawberry, this one is like the polar opposite of the high spectrum. Exactly what we were hoping to see in terms of distinction. Just a quality, buttery, indica high. The yield was about expected and probably would’ve been a lot more if not for the issues with the lights. I’m not gonna complain under these circumstances at all. Bummer - doesn’t look like we’re getting any seed off this girl. It woulda made a fantastic blue label F1 with the Skywalker to compliment our latest creation. Oh well - win some and u lose some.

Of all these girls, this poor thing took the worst of the lighting mishap. After the partial reveg she just exploded into a mess of stringy branches. Even the biggest buds on er are likely to be very small and this will be a hugely reduced yield if a yield at all. She also got decimated by WPM. We kept it under control but just barely. I was questioning whether or not she’s even worth saving and once we get through the trim, we still might chuck the whole thing. We’ve still got a clone running out of er which should give us a better idea of what we’ve got here. Sad really - AMS has been good to us and our only attempts with their genetics to date have been met with really shitty luck. Not to worry though - as I said, we’ve still got another candidate on the flower for a proper review and a number of other strains in the mail so that we can sample the full breadth of the line up. Stay tuned on that one for sure. I refuse to sample these at the moment - we can do so much better than this…. ***Update - final numbers are now in on this one and it’s disappointing to say the least. First time in 3 years we yielded less than an ounce and all due to how bad this girl took to the reveg light mishap. Such a shame too cuz we did end up keeping it anyway and the effects are fantastic. Definitely got that I’m stoned feeling in the eyes (not a recommended strain for places where you’d prefer not to look ripped). It’s a mellow indica, baked kinda high and really decent, smooth draw smoke. Can’t wait to see her clone finish out under better, more consistent conditions. The poor rating on this grow is all due to grower error - I think AMS has some quality buds here: 1:😎: 1:***

And with this plant - we finally, mercifully, reach the end of this cycle. I wouldn’t say it was a complete failure but it could’ve and should’ve been so much better. We still got some real quality crosses to run with including the one cross we were gunning for as inspiration. That testing will be at least another 2 cycles due to the minimal amount of seed so it’s yet another extended nail biter grow - success gets us a good stock and an even better (and longer) pheno hunt while failure - takes us right back to the drawing board to start this process all over again. It feels like years since we took some real stunner bud shots. But this is the process I guess. Might be a blessing - the best pollen chuckers I’ve seen on here tend to be really good at one particular cultivar so maybe the shotgun approach was overzealous for my size of space. Time will tell cuz we’re doing it all again anyway!! Lol. Thanks for taggn along for the ride - this grow was just stupid.

Are you in like, durban, dude? Just guessing, you don't have to answer. When I chuck pollen, the whole province gets seeded...So I try to only do that in winter, though outdoors.
sir_isO
sir_isOcommented4 years ago
@TheBudWhisperer, Oh sorry about that location guessing, probably thinking of someone else (my memory is kinda shit at times). And yup, if you grow outdoors, even with no males... wind, insects...whatever, things still get pollinated to some degree.
TheBudWhisperer
TheBudWhisperercommented4 years ago
@sir_isO, Nawe dude - Ontario Canada. And yeah - this stuff is indoors so really only gonna pollinate my own stash accidentally👍. Doesn’t matter here anyway - my outdoor always ends up catching pollen from somewhere, somehow....
