May 29 (Day 76)
---------------------------------------
Tent: 75F-77F (Day) / 66F (Night)
Rh: 48% (Day) / 44% (Night)
Water Temp: 66F-69F
PH: 4.5/4.4/4.2/4.0
PPM: 700/730/690
Leaf Temp: NA
PPM steady at 700 in morning.
The pistils have mostly turned and curled in on MQ4 now but trichomes are just getting milky. Will wait for some amber before considering to chop. MQ3 has a decent amount of white pistils still.
PH is still dropping but I’m not supposed to care because of PH perfect allowing uptake, yet I am still very curious as to why it is happening. Suspected root issues.
Added 10ml overdrive in morning to ensure the phosphorus deficiency is being treated. PPM went to 730
Added 10ml of orca in evening in 1L water.
PH is still tanking. I expected a bit after water change, but dropping 18 points (5 today) in four days is quite concerning. So odd, because before water change, it was 5.8 and drinking and eating. Even if I wanted to flush with some plain water, I’d have to drop the ph from 6.7 out of RO filter to a 4.3 to be safe and avoid ph flection issues, then bring it up from there slowly to an acceptable range so I could re-add a nutrient solution around the 5.6 mark because that is where ph perfect will likely stabilize before refilling system. I still see these plants having 1-2 weeks left.
Added 2L of RO water before lights out.

May 30 (Day 77)
---------------------------------------
Tent: 75F-77F (Day) / 66F (Night)
Rh: 48% (Day) / 44% (Night)
Water Temp: 66F-69F
PH: 3.9/3.7
PPM: 690/620/550/460
Leaf Temp: NA
Yup, something is happening acidic with the roots. Possible due to me decreasing amount used and following instructions on bottle to ensure I had enough to last until amazon shipped new bottle after warehouse shutdown due to covid.
Busy rest of the day. Or maybe those warm days last week. I have hot summer temps forecasted to start at end of week and last for several days. Bah.
Now I'm in a predicament with the low PH. A water change will shock the system. I need to bring it up slowly.
Drained part of solution in system and replaced with plain RO water today for top off. Going to flush out any salt build-up for a couple of days.
Added 10ml of orca in evening in 1L water.

May 31 (Day 78)
---------------------------------------
Tent: 75F-77F (Day) / 66F (Night)
Rh: 48% (Day) / 44% (Night)
Water Temp: 66F-69F
PH: 3.7/4.1/4.3/4.7/4.9
PPM: 450/220/10/50
Leaf Temp: NA
Drained 1/2 way several times to bring ph using plain water. Did not want to use any ph up or even the littlest amount could mess with nutrients.
I've got some soft roots happening at the front of each. bucket near the drain, they easily pull off but don’t stink like rot, smell more earthy. Almost seems like they aren't getting enough flow. With proper PPE, I reached around the net pot to fluff the backside of the roots, they feel like straw.
I’ll investigate when I chop to see if the problem is in the same area of both buckets.
I wonder if I could add risers to the bottom inside buckets to ensure better flow under and around roots.
Only a few days left of ripening then I'm chopping so it's not worth the cleaning system to minimize any bad bacteria I'll just fight it with enzymes and beneficial.

June 01 (Day 79)
---------------------------------------
Tent: 75F-77F (Day) / 66F (Night)
Rh: 48% (Day) / 44% (Night)
Water Temp: 66F-69F
PH: 4.6/5.1/5.5
PPM: 70/620/670
Leaf Temp: NA
A bit more spotting today - as expected due to slow flush out.
PH dropped to 4.6 by lights on, so I drained once more and took it to a 5.1 with plain RO.
Performed water change.
10Gal RO water
80ml silica - went back to silicate as it is a ph stabilizer.
90ml of Sensibloom A+B
Flexitank FInal Values
PPM: 700
PH: 5.5
Temp: 66F
Once in system final values were:
PPM: 620
PH 5.5
Temp 66F
After water change, I added:
20ml of Orca
15ml Z9 Pt 1 and Pt 2
Later in the day, I added 20ml of Overdrive to help with phosphorus deficiency - brought PPM up to 670
PH was stable at 5.5 at end of the day due to nutrients providing the buffer.

June 02 (Day 80)
---------------------------------------
Tent: 77F-79F (Day) / 68F (Night)
Rh: 48% (Day) / 44% (Night)
Water Temp: 67F-70F
PH: 5.5
PPM: 670/640/620/720
Leaf Temp: NA
PPMs slowly dropping with water level, ph stable.
Going to dose it with beneficials and enzymes every day from here on out. 5-10 days until chop I expect.
Afternoon:
15ml orca in 500ml water
10ml z9 in 50ml water
Overnight
ppm 620
15ml AN sensi bloom a/b
Final ppm:720
---------------------------------------
June 03 (Day 81)
---------------------------------------
Tent: 77F-79F (Day) / 68F (Night)
Rh: 48% (Day) / 44% (Night)
Water Temp: 68F-70F
PH: 5.5/5.6/5.5/5.6
PPM: 720/740/700
Leaf Temp: NA
PH bounced up to 5.6 but stable at 5.5 later in day.
PPM was at 720 in morning, bumped up to 740 on its own.
Added 15ml of Orca mixed well in 1L RO water in afternoon. PPM: 720
Added 10ml of Z9 mixed well in 1L RO water late evening PPM: 700
The next 8 days will be hot outside, 30c, so maintaining water temps the was I have been may require some intervention. Tent is already 80f with intake and exhaust on max. AC cooling lung room.
This grow should have started Feb 20, not Mar 20 to avoid this issue. The next week will be challenging. Even though I can maintain water temps under 70f all winter long, I may start looking at chillers.
---------------------------------------
June 04 (Day 82)
---------------------------------------
Tent: 78F-80F (Day) / 72F (Night)
Rh: 48% (Day) / 44% (Night)
Water Temp: 68F-70F
PH: 5.5
PPM: 690
Leaf Temp: NA
PH steady all day.
PPM mostly steady.
Water level noticeable drop so they are eating and drinking at same rate.
Added 10ml of Orca mixed well in 1L RO water in afternoon.
Added 10ml of Z9 mixed well in 1L RO water late evening.
Water temps hit 72F late evening, Added frozen two liter to bring temps down. Tent was 81F
@DreamIT, Thanks for commenting and following my grow. I can't say I'll be this detailed in future diaries, but details are the goal of this diary. Cheers mate!
@MrHightimes, Thanks for the positive props man. I had your MQ diary bookmarked and you did a phenomenal job on that one.
So far this strain is not flinching at anything I throw at them. Still a long way to go, but so far I'm happy with the growth and progress. Happy growing! Cheers!
The amount of effort you put into documenting this grow is definitely not lost on me, and congrats on the amazing results!!! Also, really diggin the breakdown format you had for your harvest entry. Looking forward to your next 🤙
@MyWeedAccount, Thanks so much for the kind words man! It was a lot of time to document and post it, so I'm unsure when I'll post another diary as detailed as this one.
I'm hoping to start up the next run in September! I'll surely be following your grows and your unique cooler DWC system. Have fun with your grow!
woah those look sooo gorgggg! nice grow man, do you by any chance have any extra night owl seeds? if so do you think i could get just one. Im from virginia and we just legalized weed in july and i really wanna start growing😍
@jeffhardi, Thanks so much for the kind comment. Congrats on the legalization in VA! I am in Canada but follow @myweedaccount for Night Owl/Mephisto diaries - He's located in VA and may be able to offer some suggestions. Night Owl won't be doing any drops until later this year, but you may be able to find some stock at seed banks in the US. Also, check out Mephisto and Roc Bud for solid auto genetics.
