My attempt to stave off any additional deficiency did not go as good as I hoped. In addition to the Raw NPK I gave, I also fed these girls a bloom based compost tea. I added worm castings and mushroom compost to the mix this time trying to get a little more N overall.
I liked this tea, and the girls are due for another so I’ll repeat same recipe again in next day or two. I top dressed with 3 tbsp of Gaia green power bloom a few days ago so hopefully it should be kicking in slightly.
The GG’s continue to put on mass and just recently the NL’s have come out of their poor development slump and have been producing more bud sites with small node spacing. There may be some hope for these ladies…only time will tell.
I’ll continue to water at a pH between 6.2-6.5, alternating slightly to make sure I’m allowing a broader spectrum of uptake.
I do fear that the harvest in end will not be all that exciting…I will absolutely get bud, but quantity may not be there. This is my second attempt at an all organic grow and I think I may take a break and do some more research. It’s a lot of time and work and if I’m not able to max a particular strain to it full potential then I’m doing a dis-service to myself and my girls.
We shall see…maybe I’ll surprise myself. Thanks for taking a look this week…only a few more of those left!!!
They are getting there, I love the organic style of growing, but getting a new style dialed in has its challenges…each one better than the last I suppose. Thanks!!
I guess anything is possible, but from what I have seen it doesn’t seem to bother the plant at all. Some of the zkittlez plants I did previously had corkscrew leaves on new growth, they eventually straightened out. I’m hoping the same happens here, but if not, I’m not concerned. In general one bad leaf shouldn’t make or break this run. I hope. Thanks!!
Interesting re: the seeds. I have been reading on germinating wheat or barley seeds and killing them off as soon as they sprout by blitzing them in a blender. The solution apparently is rich in enzymatic activity and glucoses that ameliorate soil. Though I doubt that was the idea from your soil supplier.
Yeah man, this was a first for sure. Interesting thought you have, anything is plausible. The only other explanation I could come to was that a mouse got in there and started storing bird seed. Meh, whatever the cause, didn’t seem to cause an issue. It was a risk, but I had seeds ready to go and didn’t want to waste them.
Looking good and progressing very nicely !! Good luck with the grow !
Please feel free to check out/show love on some of my recent grows (Tropicana cookiez/Venom OG/Banana Mango )
Also… I have a lots of growing tips on my profile page (comments section)
