Getting ready for the good olโe flip. What do most do you guys do for the light schedule?
Is it better say (on/off) 12am/12pm, or 6am/6pm.
Worried about daytime activities in that room.
My schedule will accommodate just about anything, so what are you thoughts?
I set my timer depending on the season. In the winter I keep my lights on at night to keep the grow room warmer. Lights will go on around 9PM so I can check on my plants before bed. Then they will go off at around 9AM. This gives me plenty of time to work on the plants in the morning before they go to sleep. If temperature isn't a concern, have the lights go on and off at your convenience.
I hear a lot never to do anything in flower that would stress the plants, pistols are showing but no solid buds. I want to hear what you guys have gone through. Iโm kinda worried if I do I might hurt them more than help. Thank you in advance for your time.
I always defoliate once before flower then once when I notice they have stopped stretching so around week 4 of flower to open up the light to the bud sites but I will only cut a leaf as a last resort usually you can just tuck it under the net or move it somewhere I try my hardest not to defoliate as she needs every fan to bulk up them buds for you :) So after that I wont touch her again until the 7th week of flower then I will have the last defoliation at week 9 of flower and then leave her until she finishes :) I run a similar set up to you too my friend i use the SOG style rather than SCrog but have a butchers at my diaries maybe get a few tips who knows anyhow my pm is always open if you have any more questions don't hesitate to message and I will do my best to give advice and remedies for problems :) Happy growing great lookin canopy by the way :) I would have a large defoliation just 3 days before you plan on switching the lights :)
Awesome grow @Hammerhead420, very beautiful flowers. I am using GH and currently in week 5 of flower. This last feeding I removed Liquid CoolBloom and replaced it with 6 ML per gallon of GH's Ripen formula, which is supposed to help fatten the buds and help produce more resins. I have been using Ripen on my tomatoe plants outside, and they are doing wonderful, with tomatoes that fatten up and ripen very quickly. Maybe you should consider using it in your next grow. Also, White Widow is one of my favorite strains ever. The first time I smoked it was in the fall of 1996, about a year or so after it won the Cannabis Cup. I live on the southern East coast in the US, and I had to evacuate from a hurricane to my grandmothers house about 250 miles inland for about 3 days, and was unable to get any green before I left home. My friend evacuated to his Grandmother's house just a few miles away from me, and he just so happened to have a gram of White Widow, so we decided to go out on a Saturday evening and meet at a restaurant/bar. We blazed in his car before heading in the bar, and honestly, this bud had more crystals on it than any bud I have ever seen since. It was literally white from having so many Trichomes. We both smoked only two hits each, and were literally blazed for about 6 hours, with the best buzz ever. I am growing Bruce Banner Fast version now, but I know there will come a day when I will have to grow some White Widow for myself.
Anyway, sorry for the long story. Take it easy, and keep up the nice grows.
