Just doing there thing. One item to note, the blue berry widow seed tap root began to curl in on itself so I planted it sooner than I had wished. I took a little gently touches to get it to pop up properly.

I was just happy to see the girls bounce back after the butchering... I began using nutrient feedings. I started with week one from the schedule to just to build up the good fungi in the soil and what not. First time using Fox Farm nutes. Prior to this, I was using Canna and always felt it fell short when in flower.

Second time main-lining. Getting harder to train the girls as the stems seem to get thick quickly

Final Main-line. I ended up braking one limb on the wedding cake(left plant). A little electrical tape did the trick to bring it back in-line. When they say wait for the soil to be pretty dry before training, you'd best listen! The wedding cake was much harder to train as it grew quick and thick.

A little more training. The mended branch on the wedding cake had a pretty small shoot off of the node. I had to be pretty careful with that limb. I considered waiting another day but they needed watering today and I didn't want to wait another 2-3 days to train.

Well, some bad news. The blueberry widow(left) lost a limb due to some LST and I was not able to recover it. Albeit, one of the nodes of it's sister has taken off and now assuming the original position. I'll defoliate one more time this week, swap out the lighting and then flip them to flower by the end of it all.

I did some light defoliation of the lowest limb nodes and swapped out the light for the new Scynce LED Raging Kush 2.0. It's a beast of a light and so far so good with tuning and setting up. It's bright and the app is easy to use. The blueberry widow has an amazingly sweet smell when brushing the limbs. The wedding cake is a perfect compliment of more of skunky, lemon-like, pine smell. I'm really excited about these girls going into flower and starting the count down timer finally! I was seeing some nutrient burn in the previous week or so. That being so, I went 4 waterings with straight RO and one of those with just plain well water for the extra cal-mag. When flipping the light, I gave the girls a medium-light dose of nutrient as I was just beginning to see some deficiency and the stretch to begin!

The light keeps going up 4-5 clicks a day and they're looking really healthy still. A wonderful smell is coming from these girls and I can't wait to harvest! The wedding cake still hasn't full shown their sex yet and I'm a bit nervous. There's definitely some growth to indicate something but I haven't seen this before so I'm not sure if it's male or female at this point. Albeit, it's only been a week so I'll give it some more time. If nothing else, I'll post a picture and question on here for people to help me decide. Update: The Wedding Cake finally let her pistils loose! Thank you to everyone who chimed in on my question. It just took a little more time to get things going. Both girls are growing really well and I'm seeing a minor cal-mag deficiency in the blueberry widow. I hit them with some well water to supplement until their next feeding on Sun/Mon.

The wedding cake doesn't show the standard signs of being a female. There appears to be pistils in the new growth but I don't see it at the nodes. All of the nodes look like elongated sacs. From what I've read people say it's most likely female but what say you all?

Hi Mate, I've checked this pic and the entire diary: Luckily no bananas are visible and I can see lots of pistils, no herm signs. I think that you can't compare the flowering signs of different strains, every plants develop themselves in a different way and in a different time even within the same strain. IMO your plant is in a sort of prolonged preflowering stage and your plant shows all the signs of this. This thing is happened last year to my Pineapple Kusk where preflowering stage is lasted for an entire month. Stay relaxed and just check for bananas. I hope I'm right. Good luck.

Well, this week has started well enough. Plenty of stretching over the past two weeks and some lower nodes really stretching up into the canopy. I trimmed up some of the stragglers and really weak looking extensions. I threw on the elastic trellis and opened up the colas a little bit more to let some more light into the lower areas. It took no time at all for the girls to begin to fill in the gaps! The wedding cake has shown no signs of deficiencies which has been great. smells great and piney. Not a lot of smaller nodes coming off, just some really sturdy colas. The blueberry widow is definitely showing signs of cal-mag deficiencies. I'll be adding additional cal-mag in between feeding to keep on top of that. This girl smells absolutely delicious and I still can't wait to harvest. I am surprised that she's already getting icy as you can see in one of the photos.

It's been an interesting week! Each plant is showing a different issue. The Wedding Cake is having some of the lower leaves going yellow and Blueberry Widow is getting brown spots all of the leaves. I checked the pH of the run off and it seems good enough, a slight drift but there was definitely a salt build up. I ran some flushing solution through them, then an additional RO flush and brought the EC down to .5 and .7 each. Gave them a couple of days and then did a half feeding. I'll have to be more diligent on watering more to allow for more run off. I'll be testing regularly here on out!

The run off is much better and she's definitely taking in the nutes. Albeit, I am beginning to do a calmag foliar spray on the BBW. The flowers on the bbw still look good and are growing thick and quick. The wedding cake is looking nice and the flowers are really beginning to pop. I still can't wait to try both of these girls. I do get a kick that most of the first time comments are "Damn, that's going to be a lot of trimming" 😜

Well, both are the girls are getting there. Trichs are getting cloudy, seeing some amber in there as well. I'm thinking this may be the last week of feeding and then just the count down flush. I'll have a better answer come later in the week when I look at more than just one site per plant. Albeit, so far, it's very promising and very exciting. At this point, I just love opening the tent in the morning and catching that wonderful smell 😂 I posted two additional photos of bud sites well under the canopy. I did that bc I am honestly impressed with the amount of light penetration this Scynce LED Ragging Kush 2.0 has. It's been a lot of fun playing with that light for the first time this grow, not mention having the recipes to work with. I look forward to starting a full cycle with it next time!

This week was a flush followed by 75% nutes. both plants are full of milky trichomes and a speckling of amber. The Blueberry Widow(right) looks like she's going to finish first with the wedding cake about a week behind her. As to when, I'm not sure. Still a lot of weight gain on both girls and the buds are starting to thicken up so maybe 2-3 weeks? Come the weekend, I'll do another trich check and go from there!

Well, that's it. The last of the nutrient feeding and only a 1/4 of the norm. Threw in a little crushed oyster shells as well. Everyone seems happy and putting on the last of their weight. I may hit the wedding cake with a little dry nute as that one seems to wants to keep packing on new growth. I love the colors and I'm happy overall with this grow. Sure, it's not perfect but I am ever getting closer to dialing in what is needed and learning new techniques along the way! Oh! Opening that tent is like heaven. The smell is amazing and trichomes keep packing on these girls! another week and a half for the blue berry widow for sure but we will see about the wedding cake.

I had to pull this one early along with the others due bananas showing up on her lower bud sites. Despite this, the yield was more than enough. Plenty of gifts to be given 😄. The grow was a fun one, as she's a stubbornly fast grower and at one point it was pretty difficult to train. No real complaints about the rest of the grow. The bud is nice, sweet and a lot of fun to smoke. Probably my favorite of the 4 plants and I'd be happy to do this grow again!

I would have liked to have her go another 2-3 weeks to put on more weight but the wedding cake went hermi so I had to harvest. I didn't know how long the bananas were out and I didn't want to risk anything. Lots of trimming on this one so I went and picked up a trimming bowl. It worked great by taking what was 45mins for cola to 1 hour and 45mins to do the entire plant! My only comment is that next time, I'd just run the lower bud sites through the trimmer and hand trim the top of the colas.
