There was a lot going on this week in the garden.
"Ok kids"
"yeahh"
"Do you want to the park?"
"Noooooo"
"Do you want to go to the movies?"
"Nooooooo"
"Hmmm ok well, do you want to go to the punk rock show?"
"Yeahhhhhhh"
Thats the intro for Nofx let's all go to the punk rick show and without futher ado week 5 day 29
First change in the garden was switching to a 240 watt meanwell driver QB full spectrum led light from Kingsbrite. I switched out the mars hydro ts600 and the 2 75w hyper tough t5 lights for the QB.
I hung it at 24" and set the dimmer to 50% to ease the ladies into the new light. I used a phone app lux meter to get around a 20000 and a 19000 reading respectively from the top part of each plant. Not sure if the app will cut it so a lux meter is going on the wish list.
Second the tomato cages where put on to try to have some support for the massive leaves that are just laying on the hydroton and the net pot also some bamboo for support of the lady in the front left due to her weak stem or heavy leaves or both.
Third switched nutrients to a mild vegetation general hydroponic flora series feeding chart, still used the hydrogaurd , and the cal-mag because now I am using Ro water from my new portable ro filter.
yeahhhhhh buddy!
Fourth I am now on a 30 min on/ 30 min off top feed drip schedule, and have put another pump with 1/2" tubing running to the top of the bucket to recirculate the whole system while the dripper is on its 30 on/30off time. There is a new 90cfm 4 " inline fan with a bandana as a filter pushing air into the tent. There is also some non itch insulation on the resivoir to try to help keep temps stable even though the ecoplus 1/4 hp water chiller keeps the temps a nice crisp 63.5 f. The tent itself had a few hot days where it got to the mid 80 f but the humidifier is running on a 30 min on /30 min off time as well trying to raise the humidity from 45% to 65 %
That wraps up this weeks activities and like I said busy week in the garden coming into week 6 strong ready to bumb up nutes and the light intensity. One of these lucky ladies may just be the mother plant of my dreams
