Day 7: Good stuff so far. Almost none of the GG4 seeds sprouted. The one gorilla zkittlez auto seed did sprout as well as 1 of the GG4 seeds (not sure what gender yet). Had to relocate tent from the basement where it is much colder to upstairs.
Day 9: Upstairs is so much hotter. Had to add an inline fan and a clip fan inside. Got it down to 81 degrees which is a vast improvement from 89. Watered everyone except the mutant because some people are saying it is overwatered. Concerned because they haven't seemed to be getting much bigger. Planted skywalker OG in ocean forest direct to soil.
Day 11 (?, lost track since all the plants were started on different days but around 11): Planted skywalker OG 3 days ago and it still hasn't surfaced. Watered the mutant. I thought it was actually growing some second leaves but then I zoomed in... does this look right??
My Harlequin x GG4 seedling has a weird set of first leaves. They are very small, narrow, look deformed and bend down. This plant is being watered the same as the other plant that looks healthy (also a diff strain, gorilla zkittlez).

TBH I have no idea what day anything is. I'm going to go with today as being day 13. I made new journals for my other plants so I will keep this one around for my first two plants, Gorilla Zkittlez and the mutant: GG4xHarlequin.
Day 13: both plants look pretty short/small for being 13 days old. I'm just happy that the mutant seems to be straightening out a little bit. I let it dry out an extra day before watering him just in case it was getting overwatered. Going to skip using nutes until their next watering just in case mutant had anything to do with the soil being too nutrient dense.
Day 18: I can't believe how fast he mutant is growing. He went from being the runt to being the biggest in a week. It makes all the other plants look puny. Now I'm concerned that they are not developing fast enough. I used nutes for the first time on the mutant. He's the oldest/biggest and he needed to be watered. They will be about 2 weeks then. I think I'll water the others with nutes on their next watering coming up. I'm growing in coco so I'm nervous that I might wait too long to start feeding them. All the other plants are growing slowly with only 1-2 real leaves. Maybe this week will be their growth spurt too. Skywalker OG ain't looking good, not good at all. I poked around a few days ago and saw a little tail coming out so I hoped he would have germinated by now. It has been about 10 days for him. I'm keeping him around just because, it's not like I'm renting out his space or something. I had my light on veg this entire time. I started to use both veg/bloom lights at the same time for the past day. It has been heating my tent up way more than I expected. It went from a max of 83 to 86 with "bloom" on. Luckily my humidifier is on auto meaning it turns on when RF < 40 and off when RF > 60 so it's doing a great job of cooling when I turn up the power to my fan, just a waste of electricity. Excited to move everything into the basement in a few weeks.
Day 19: all of my plants are staying kind of small. It doesn't seem like they grew after the first week. The only plant not grown in coco was the Mutant which was grown in part coco/perlite/pot soil and he is the biggest by far. It may also be because he is a regular seed vs auto or maybe the fact that he had some soil vs straight coco/perlite. I'm thinking if maybe I really need to start fertilizing sooner. Maybe the mutant is bigger because he already had nutrients in his soil. Anyways, today I fertigated Gorilla Zkittlez first the first time using the same fertilizer I used yesterday on the Mutant. Hoping that Gorilla Zkittlez will grow quicker now that he's got some food. I am able to get the temperature down to 80 by running my humidifier on low and turning my fan up to about 4/10. The humidifier drastically decreases the temperature. Increasing just the fan speed doesn't help with the temperature but I have found that turning down the fan speed helps keep the water vapor in the air longer inside the tent, thus, being more energy efficient. The more water vapor in the air seems to further decrease temperature. It's kind of odd but with the humidity set to low, fan speed 2 = 80F but with the same humidity and fan speed 5 = about 82. Will gather more data.
Day 21: really small for starting week 3. Poor lil mutant was wilting today when I checked on her. I guess he can't go past 4 days anymore which is actually a good sign. I gave him some good calmag and ffbg today, all pH'd to 5-6. I can't believe this is the plant that is doing the best right now. I actually weighed my plants and did some data wizard things. I did a linear regression and found a significance with humidity lowering temperature, proving my previous hypothesis correct. Time of day/Light status obviously held the highest influence on temperature. Bam.
Day 23: can't believe how much the nutes are helping! Before it was like their growth completely stopped. After a few days they have all already doubled the amount of leaves they have. I am almost able to see a root sticking out of the bottom of the big boy so I'll be repotting him when I water him (probably tomorrow). The slow growth probably pushed back harvest by at least 2 weeks :/
Day 24: OMG lesson learned, feed the plants! They are showing me their appreciation with super speedy growth. Just wait til they go in the big tent with the big lights. Roots are showing. Repotting tomorrow.
Day ??: oh man I lost count of what date it was. Pretty sure it's 28 since germination of the oldest plant sooo I'm just going to start week 4 of veg lol
Day 27: start of week 4 since germination. Transplanted everyone (except for 1) into 3gal bags. Very healthy root structure, looks great. Flushed with water only since I used a tiny bit of Ocean Forest soil and another soil (gotta look up the same) with the coco coir. Didn't want them to get over loaded. Will do 1/2 strength depending on how they are doing next water.
Day 33: everyone looks good. GZ showed some odd leaf color/pattern but only on her first 2 leaves. I'm choosing to believe that it's from a deficiency the plant incurred from not being fed soon enough when it was young. No real clue what it is but that's my best guess. Only on that one plant. Now hes getting regular calmg so I hope he stays happy. Of note, GZ somehow got planted to the far side of her fabric pot. Instead of repotting, I just decided to try LST for the first time (YOLO). Figure it would at least get GZ to start growing evenly. GG4/Harl is doing great. No signs of sex yet. Showing some mild cupping from an upgrade to a more powerful light. Dimmed it a bit and things seem to be ok now.
Day 35: made the move from 2x2 to a 2x4 in the basement with is 15 degrees colder than upstairs. Means I call dial the lights all the way without worrying about the temperature! Fed/watered them at half dose. Felt like they needed to breathe.
Day 42: GZ showing signs of pre-flower. Did some more LST on her. Mutant/GG4 doing excellent. Still too early to tell the sex but it is looking like a girl so far.
Day 45: lollipopped only the first 2 nodes on GZ and GG4. Did LST on GZ another branch that was getting tall. GG4 getting tall fast, maybe 1.5 ft already. Gradually starting to switch to 12/12 due to tent size.
Day 49: GG4/H showing to be female (yay), barely. Getting too tall so I flipped her into flower early. Started on 12/12 yesterday. No notable change. Defoliated a bit more yesterday. Thirsty. Continuing to do LST with GZ, wrapping all her branched around in a whirlpool shape. GZ definitely showing pre-flower now.
Day 54: I messed up my dates again since GG4/H is 2 days older than GZ. Removed LST ties from GZ and put everyone under a scrog net. Induced 12/12 light a few days ago. Flowers are starting to develop for both. Lollipopped the bottom 2 nodes on both.
Day 60: switched to FF Tiger bloom a few days ago. Started to up the pH a little closer to 6 yesterday and today. Both are seeming to need less water. Maybe I just overwatered one day. Will pull back to .25gal/day instead of .33gal/day. Skipped watering today. Going to flush with water tomorrow since I haven't been watering to r/o.
Day 68: going well. Working out nutes. Ordered some and the supplier sent the wrong stuff so I'm sort of in limbo which sucks. I still have some FF left I'll try to use up. Haven't really trimmed anything or trained in a while. Will maybe do a defoliation later in flower once things are going. GZ is looking like my smallest plant. Think she was just trained wrong. I tried to go in a spiral and it put a lot of branches lower than the canopy. Hopefully still a good smoke.
Getting thick. GZ is so scraggly. Not sure if it just somehow didn't get enough light or if it's genetics. Definitely going to be a while for these two. Keeping EC slightly low. Going to bump it up a bit soon.
Day 96: progressing well. Starting to see amber on GG4/H already. Surprising since I don't even see any amber on my autoflowers that have been flowering for 10 weeks. Upped feed from 1200 to 1450 in hopes of getting them to gain a bit more weight. Backed off bc of recent nute burn in my other plants.
My first seed by Barney's farm didn't germinate at all. This seed was not very promising from the start. Grew tall colas even with strong lst which is fine but the colas were 90% sugar leaves and very little bud. Put almost all of it in the scrap/blunt filling pile. Pretty disappointing. The jar containing the GZ also had some nugs from my other plant that was harvested (Bruce Banner, see other diary) and totaled out to 1.56 oz with most of it being the Bruce Banner lol. Would not grow again.
GZ was really disappointing and I will likely never buy from the same breeder. Nothing personal but 2/2 bad isn't great. If I had let it go a few more weeks I'm sure it would have turned out a bit bigger but the growth was so slow compared to my other sativas in the same tent.
Thick, dense, beautiful baby. Very indica like colas/leaves. Wet mess to trim with all the leaves but very excited. Trimmed maybe a week early due to other circumstances.
