Friday 28 May Put 5 seeds in a big jar of water Friday. Opened cupboard again Sunday and all 5 showed their taproots. Sunday 30 May Planted 5 seeds in 4 pots (final size). 1 extra planted in case one doesn’t make it. Will remove the extra if all looks good. Tuesday 01 June First seedling poke up the ground. Was afraid they had dried out during day 1. Wednesday 02 June All seeds have survived and made it to the surface. Discoverer gnats so will dry out the top soil somewhat but need to be careful not to drown the seedlings. Might keep spraying directly on the seedling to ensure survival. No nutrients yet.

Thursday 03 June More controlled watering. All 5 seeds popped out, will keep the 4 with best phenotypes. Decision to be made in coming week or two. Started slowly with nutes. 1L for the 4 pots. Will water again when the top inch soil is dry. Humidity at 30% - bit low but trying to do away with gnats, so won’t be spraying by water everywhere right now. Lights dimmed to 50%. No extraction fan running. Tower fan running below light. Saturday 06 June Temp range 22-27 C, 30-40% Humidity Watering tomorrow with full strength BioBizz Week 1 (all mix). 13:00 Trying to raise humidity to 70C by using a mister bottle through one of the top tent holes. Successful, but unsure how long it will last or what effect it will have on gnats. Seems like the few dry days has helped with gnats. 15:00 humidity at 35%... gave it 20 pumps. 15:10 humidity 45%. Ordered a humidifier lol 08 June Hot days. Lowered lights and dimmed to 50% to reduce heat. Have to keep extractor running as well. Humidifier and luxmeter coming today. Still feeding at 50% strength. 09 June Lowered light further and dimmed to 25%. Staying at 8,000 lux at plant level. Full strength feeding initiated. Added some support as the new fan is a bit rough on these babies. Speed picking up now! 13Jun - final day of week 1. Humidifier helps really well with temperature even when it’s hot outside. Lamp is at ~60% power now. Still got one deformed girl but let’s see if she won’t grow past that. Stems are growing stronger. Feeding at full strength now (week 1 biobizz feed schedule all mix)

CO2 bag installed One girl showing massive growth and large stem, the other three lagging behind a bit. Topped on 17Jun (after taking pictures). When topping, the fast lady had actually developed a full node more than the others, we will see how that works out. The big girl was topped above the 5th leaf set, the smaller above the 4th leaf set. LST next week or when the new shoots start appearing for real, will try 4-way LST and then into SCROG before switching. I turned up the light to ~20k lux beginning of the week, and to 30-35k mid-week. Noticing some discoloration between the veins of the three slower girls, tried feeding a bit of calmag and pH6.5. on 17Jun. 18Jun - I think it's heat/light stress. I raised the lights from 45cm to 65 cm and dimmed to 70% giving me a lux of 20k at plant height. It's pretty hot in there too, running at 28-29 degrees during the day. I may try and mount the LED drivers outside the tent as they run pretty hot. Will feed with GROW for first time tomorrow just in case the yellowing is a nitrogen deficiency starting...

Only on 3 out of 4 of my girls, see 1 pic of sad girl and 1 pic of happy girl. Does it look like heat/light stress to you or something more? I was running my LED 45 cm below the lights dimmed to provide 20-30k lux at plant level. Just now raised to 65cm, lux 20k.

The happy girl is positioned in the corner of my 1x1m tent in the corner furthest away from the two openings. The oscillating fan is positioned diagonally opposite the healthy girl. It's about 27-29 C in the tent - hot outside!

21Jun Started LST on the larger lady. All are recovering well from what I suspect was heat/light stress. Humidity lowered to 55% 22Jun Continuing to tuck fan leaves behind new tops to maximize light exposure. The other three still need to grow more before initiating LST. I think I topped a bit late as there are 6 tops developing on the larger one. Unsure if I should cut off the lowest shoots to have just 4 tops on the smaller ones or just let it grow, and LST as needed to increase surface area and light exposure to new tops. They have started bringing a sweet veg smell to the tent. Increased light intensity to 28k-32k lux at canopy level, target is ~40k lux, 50k tops. 23Jun LST on all the girls. Two of them aren't very tall/stretchy but did them anyway as the canopy was getting very tight and crowded. Lowered co2 bag closer to canopy. 26Jun Readjusted some ties, bounced back well once again. Considering whether to top...

29Jun Went ahead and topped all significant tops. Pinched about 40 tops in total. Should make for 40 new tops!! On one of the plants, I topped some of the smaller shoots as well as a test. Taking in more water now, I've doubled the watering volume from 0.5L per to 1L per watering. Canopy lux at 35k-42k. Accidentally semi-supercropped another stem. Probably being a bit aggressive with LST. Buying another oscillating fan, the single one I have now doesn't do a lot for these 4 now they've grown. 01Jul Topped branches largely covered by fan leaves... defoliation 02Jul Topped everything I could find... Counted 60 tops removed. Set up SCROG net, removed LST ties. GROW!

13Jul Lollipopped and switched to 12-12. Rather have a bit less tops than too many to handle! Excited to see how much they will stretch in Flower. They will get 12 hours today, then 24 hours of darkness (switching schedule so lamp run at night) I can see now that I did top a tad too aggressively. Shouldn't have topped the small side stems of side stems, I think. That being said, I didn't have to cut off a lot of small useless branches during lollipopping, so perhaps it's ok. Time will tell!

26Jul Made more rectangles. A budsite in 95% of them, too. Flowering really setting in now. Smells! 28Jul Lollipopped more aggressively - could've done more earlier. Took all small shoots that didn't reach the canopy. Managed to fill out 95% of the squares. 29Jul Realized I never un-dimmed the lights after lollipopping... Oh well. LOVE this canopy...

Starting to stink up the room when I open the tent to water them. Basically leaving them alone to do their thing for the time being. Not sure how much defoliation I should be doing at this point. 18Aug - massive defoliation of 3/4 plants. Keeping the last as an experiment. Plus it’s really hard to reach… fingers covered in crystals! 20Aug - spotting some milky trichs now - hoping it will still have at least a few weeks of flowering left to bud up. Defoliated the last plant.

23Aug This week I'm ramping up Top Max as per the feed schedule. 26Aug Spotting some calmag looking brown rusty spot on the top leaves of one of the plants (shortest one, furthest from the fans). Discovered after watering, but still fed it with 1L water pH 6.5 with 1.2mL/L calmag. I lowered the lights recently but they are not showing signs of light or heat stress. 29Aug Watering all with deficiency-strength calmag today to get ahead with the three others, just in case. Buds seem to have fattened a lot in 3 days. One girl is still showign calmag deficiency.

Is this a calcium deficiency? Week 6 of flower, only 1 in 4 has this issue, they get the same feed... I even give them calmag preventively. Any ideas?

@Ezzjaygrows Thanks, I gave it calmag (1L water + calmag) as I discovered it after feeding. No results yet, but hasn't gotten worse either (not sure if the spots will go away actually). I haven't flushed during this grow, so perhaps buying an EC meter and doing so would be a good approach from here.

That appears to be calcium deficiency, definitely.. Keep in mind that excess salts from earlier feedings are known to lock out calcium. I happened upon this issue several times around the same time of flower.. It would often be from lingering salts from the Nitrogen in the earlier veg nutes not being flushed completely from the root zone, or just excess feeding at the end of veg/beginning of flower. I'm not familiar with that cal-mag supplement but it seems you could bump it up easily for the next feeds. Personally, I would also go ahead and leech/flush the soil immediately in case there is lingering salts from veg. I would first check your run off EC/PPM real quick to tell if there is excess built up of salts, than you can make your decision

05Sep Spotting few amber trichs on #1. Also seems closer to harvest than the others based on general appearance - not as many perky white pistils. Fed them last night, considering whether to flush now. Biobizz schedule, however useless it may be, would have me give it nutes for 1 more week. Is it time for harvest?
