GS - 10 FD
PG - 13 FD
Nearly 2 weeks into bloom for PG. Defoliation done yesterday. Removed some lower growth and some select leaves to allow deeper penetration. Some more bending, but the plants are pretty much on autopilot from now on. All those claims automated irrigation saves water is bullshit, lol... still worth it. You will inevitably use more water when using an automated system or even a push-to-irrigate setup. Plants drink at different rates, evaporation can be slightly different, and medium is not 100% the same all the time. Think some of my pots have a bit more perlite, so they are on different schedules, but there is only 1 schedule... hence, inevitable waste. The convenience is worth it. Maybe, in a couple more feedings i'll be confident enough that i don't have to supervise in person. Simply give 15mins, and excess is no big deal on some pots. Love that i do not have to mix any nutes anymore. I dump 100s of grams of part A in... wait an hour to be safe, then dump ~2/3rds of that worth of cal nitrate. Powerheads do a great job churning water. 1 near bottom and 1 near top of drum. Added some beneficial microbes to tank.
I will need to do something about the water tank, though. The room is definitely too warm for a tank. Plants seem fine and do not droop, so oxygen levels are probably okay at the least. Some biofilm is accumulating just above water level. Will clean before next refill. If i don't have to grow much over summer, this is less of a problem. Should be much cooler over winter.
GS is a weak-resistant plant for certain. Believe it is GS1 that is the weakest link (back left). Dehum has helped, but need to re-apply fungicide repeatedly. After being split up, PG is not having recurring problems and has much more foliage / less airflow etc. GS2 and GS4 are the more important plants. Seem to have a bit more resistance but definitely susceptible. Waiting for stretch to continue... Expect these to get tall. Leaving light nice and strong throughout to try to limit it just a bit. Until that happens, expecting a lighter yield in this tent - probably something akin to the 3x3. I needed to LST these to force a bushier base. But, will be useful to see what the additional immersion of light does for the lower buds. More local photosynthesis should help without need to transport ATP long distance within plant.
PG is still goin crazy. Had to thin out the canopy or it would have been a fucking mess. I didn't intend to fill in tent so much, but this is a plant that can handle those conditions, thankfully. Was going for 2-4" around edges being free. Hopefully, can push >250-300grams dry.. try to aim low and be surprised. That's only ~30g per sq ft. 50g/sqft is a better goal for future. The back-right is still fugly for some reason. Wrinkled leaves etc.
Both these plants were treated very poorly. Some scars still exist. New growth is fine. Flower development is matching previous run. I think they will turn out fine at this point. I am not super confident about yield. The height that accrued over the long-haul in solo cups and multiple prunings really limited the time i had for recovery and filling out space better. The 3x3 is fine on the latter issue, but the 4x4 could have been filled out better. Due to excessive pruning over 4 months, there is a lot of wasted height that won't be an issue in future.
Checked old notes.. both these plants should move quickly. Should have fluffy, expanding buds next week. I need to check 3-4-5th week on older diaries for a visual reminder.
@@NobodysBuds, maybe you want to update mines after such draft ? ;))) No itchy fingers to sort out idiot with too many diaries ? ;))))
You'll love it !!! I have my own mini Auschwitz, just no gas chamber like at yours ;))) but I keep them ready and overcrowded ;))))
Never had i any fluffy with my 3000K, but got it in last run, looked more like outdoors ... High temps and size of plant was only differences ... will run cooler them, 27-30 was sh$t for me, 25-27 always worked fine, but in veg higher temps did magic ..
@@NobodysBuds, i have 3 old 3000k lm301b , 3k k and new lm301h with far reds, its i DIY, but manufacturer written on everything and i see bin, kelvins, diod type and etc written. From all my grow buys, those were the best investment ;)))
Still update air, pots, nutes , etc ... but lights work for 2.5 years and can't see any issue with them, if they will run 5 years, i will be over my preplanned duration.
Only because they run so nice i refused couple free lights offered here.
Hope your buy will be at least 2x better ! ;)
