4 gallon fabric pots with BioBizz All-Mix and clay pebbles lining the bottom.
Pre-soaked with BioBizz Root Juice @ 4ml/l, pH ~6.50
Germinated the seeds in egg cups of water until the tap root just started to appear, then into the soil.
Planted on 13/07/21, both sprouted 16/07/21
Forced a small stretch by raising lights due to soil compression to make my life easier when LST'ing down the line.
A watering of ~1 litre each with Biobizz Root Juice @4ml/l on day 3 and 5
Small spritz of the plant magic evolution spray on days 3/5/7. Used this stuff last grow and it seems to work well.
Had temps rise up to 30°C this week, little higher than I would like but in a heatwave isn't a lot I can do. If the heatwave is extended I'll have to flip the lights to run at night.
Watering around every 3rd day, introduced a small amount of Bio Grow this week.
Using the Plant Evolution spray everyday, responding well to it.
Will most likely start LST'ing in the upcoming week.
Started LST on day 16, nothing too crazy but it'll help the initial nodes stretch to where I want them.
Probably stunted the BB on day 20. Snapped off a side shoot while LST'ing. Decided that I hate these fabric pots. From my last grow I found that the plants weren't using all the available soil for the roots and wasting a lot of soil and space. The soil also seems to sink and compress a lot more than you'd expect in these pots, causing LST to be annoying due to the plant being so low down. Running a Zkittlez along side these 2 in a 3 gallon fabric pot with no issues at all. Will be switching to running all 3 gallons next round. Early photo of my Zkittlez https://imgur.com/a/6SCrrKf
Still using the Evolution spray everyday.
Seeing the first signs of preflowering this week for both. Raised the lights slightly in anticipation for the stretch.
Stretching really well, especially the Blackberry.
Slight clawing on both, gave a few feeding with a bit less Bio Grow.
Haven't been able to use the Evolution spray much this week, shipping issues caused a delay with my fresh bottle.
The BlackBerry is doing really well. Nice fast growing bud sites that have started to show their colouring.
The Purple Punch is a bit behind in bud site growth but she has a better overall size and number of bud sites.
Stopped spraying the BB with the Evolution 2. At this stage it isn't needed.
Increased Bloom dosage for the BB to 2ml/l while for now the PP is still on 1ml/l.
Added the new BioBizz Microbes this week, really interested to see how/if it affects growth, 0.2g/L.
Also stopped spraying the PP with the Evolution spray.
Blackberry is doing good, really nice colours and the buds are fattening up.
The Purple Punch is still behind but progressing.
Increased dosages this week and fed a small amount of calmag.
Yellowing has slightly progressed, moreso on the Purple Punch but seems to be slowing for both.
Reduced nitrogen due to slight clawing, mainly on the Purple Punch.
Will most likely increase bloom dosage next week for the BlackBerry.
The BlackBerry is starting to show some nice fading on the top leaves, won't be long till harvest.
The Purple Punch is doing ok, buds are slowly fattening up, unfortunately isn't showing any purple colouring.
Both are doing well. The BlackBerry isn't too far from being done and the Purple Punch will definitely need longer.
Upped the Top Max dosage this week.
Harvested the BlackBerry on day 72, will update once it's dried and weighed.
Purple Punch is going steady, judging by the trichomes it needs ~2 more weeks.
Really fun strain to grow. Beautiful colours really early on in flower. Took LST well and didn't suffer from any diseases or issues.
Final weight 86 g / 3.03 Oz
Purple Punch harvested this week. Will update once it's dried, jarred and weighed.
Nice little bit of purple on the top buds.
Smells incredible and the scissor hash was very tasty, can't wait to try the buds!
Fairly easy to grow, took a bit longer than the BlackBerry but it was definitely worth the wait. Took LST well and didn't suffer from any nutrient or mould issues. Highly recommend.
