Popped two seeds using the glass of water then paper towel technique - 12 hrs in each, before planting in soil 10L ( 3gal ) pots in the tent. Unfortunately I over watered the soil of the second plant and the sprout had hamlet head and crashed back into the ground. I removed the seed pod manually but it didn't recover. Seed one is growing well, holding at 65mm ( 2.5" ) and looking pretty strong. I'm running a fan heater which I think is stressing it ( leaves are wavy) so I may change that out.

Changed my heater from fan to a radiant type to avoid the wind stress. New leaves look much healthier than 1st leaves and its noticeably growing daily now. Watered in some seedweed health boost brew at 1/4 strength to ease my pain, I'll do that once a week through veg. Not adding any stronger nutes yet as the potting mix I'm running already has some. Feeling confident I can keep her healthy now and may I pop another seed to keep her company.

She's growing well! The leaves change angles daily but she seems healthy. Shes short but the stem is getting thick and strong and I can see where the flowering branches will be. I Raised the light, added in my germination matt to keep the roots warm at night ( - 3c outside the tent at night) and inside tent temp dropped as low as 16c when the air is cycling. Popped another seed ( blueberry) which is 8days old now. Might start another diary for her. Cheers GH

She's putting on bulk and getting taller, the stem is also very fat and strong! I started lst this week with bending and tying down and spreading to get a more even canopy. A couple of the lower leaves I took off seemed to be yellowing slightly so I'll be keeping an eye on that moving forward. She looked a bit sad after I did it but bounced back within 24hrs.

Is it safe to remove some of the 5 pointed leaves from the top of the plant to maximise light penetration on the lower vegetation? Thanks Crew, GH

Hi there, IMO, your plant doesn't seem to need any defoliation yet.You can still tucking the fan leaves. Those fan leaves are acted like extra sources of energy for plants.Recommend to defoliate at the start of flowering circle and again at 3rd week of flower or at the end of stretching period.Later that period ,you shouldn’t stress the plant anymore and defoliation at late flower stage could even lead to hermaphrodism.Happy Growing... ✌️

Bit of a struggle in the grow this week with the Amnesia Haze & Blueberry showing sings of nitrogen toxicity. Dark green clawed leaves particularly on the AH. I flushed both plants with approx 10L of de chlorinated tap water over an hour or so and started measuring ppm ( 1700 ) of the run off and the pH 6.1. Got ppm down to 750 and ph'd the water used to flush at 6.8 to keep it in the sweet spot. Added an extra fan to help dry the soil out which took around 5 days and didn't use any nutes next water. Both plants are getting taller and gaining bulk I did some lst at the end of the week.

Both plants bounced back from last weeks nitrogen problems and flush they look much lighter in colour and no lasting clawing on the new growth. Reintroduced nutrients in the feed and the Amnesia sulked for 12hrs after, leaf tips down and very slight curl on the leaves, then she perked up again. I think she's sensitive to the nutes as all the measurements seem to be on point now and the blueberry shot up after the same feed and both are in the same type of soil. I cranked the light to full noise and they both started canoeing so turned it back down the next day and they flatened out. I've got all the gear and no idea but I'm getting a handle on listening to the plants. The AH is still vegging at 42 days and looking pretty even in height thanks to the LST ( last pic). The Blueberry has shot past her and has white hairs coming in 🤟🏼 I can't get the main branch to stay low so I think I'll let it do its own thing. A ladybird flew in through my window and landed on me so I put it in the tent to hassle any pests that might be hiding in their. Cheers dudes happy growing Gh.

The BB is in Flower and looking good, she's been stretching ( 46cm day 37) and the flowers are noticeable getting hairier daily. Did some lst to the main branch to try and keep the tops at even height and share the light. AH is still now flowering at day 49, I've been checking her stems and no sign of pollen sacs so I'll be patient and try not wig. She's a little monster now only put on 5cm in height this week but has so many more flower sights than the BB so🤞🏼 she flowers. If she hasn't staterd by next week I'll try and work out another light and space and switch her to 12/12 incase it's not an auto. Both plants have shown some purple on the new leave stems after mid week watering. I think the pH is too low and causing a lockout. Water went in at 6.6 and runoff was 6 but my pH pen seems to needs re calibration every time I test it and it's inconsistent with my fish keeping pH test kit. I just don't trust it. I'm investing in a better pH pen. Happy growing everyone ✌️🏼

Blueberry is going nicely now, flowers are forming and it's beginning to smell like weed.I did some lst to the main branch to give the others a chance to catch up. The amenisa haze is still in veg ( 56 days) , way way over due to flower for an auto and starting to show brown spots on the leaves which I'm guessing is a nutrient deficiency of calcium or a pH problem. Not going to able to get her into a 12 by 12 set up for another week. Thanks for stopping by 🤟🏼

Double down on entries today as been a bit going on the last 2 weeks. Blue Berry is getting fragrant now, bit of yellowing on the leaves which I'm guessing is her telling me she's hungry. Ph is pretty good going in at 6.7 and run off 6.3. The flowers are getting denser and 3 of branches are the same height now. Pay off for the lst. Just need the buds to join up and it will be a nice yeild. Smells like a pomegranate got sexy with my work socks 🤩. AH doesn't seem to have any new brown spots so I'll continue to give her cal mag until flower. Light set up has been delayed so I'm going to start putting her in a dark cupboard with ventilation to get the 12/12 happening I'm a bit sick of this plant not flowering. I knew the 1st grow would be the toughest but I'd definitely like to get some buds off her since we've come this far. Thanks for stopping by, be well friends ✌️🏼

BB The fan leaves continue to fade to yellow each day. The pH of water is going in at 6.6 and run off is 6.5 so I doubt lock out is the issue. I think any attempt to amend that now will be a mistake and confuse the plants biology by drawing energy away from bud production. I'm just going to roll with it. Imo, she didn't transition from veg to flower with quite enough nitrogen so she is taking it from the leaves to grow the buds and that's why they are fading. Probably a bit earlier than normal. Their are plenty of green leaves close to the buds with exception of a couple of light burnt ones at the top. It smells really good, fruity and strong now. The buds are getting fatter & frosty so probably 2 or 3 weeks to go. AH is in idle still vegging but not really growing taller anymore

Oh yeah it's getting juicy in here. She is stinky and sticky and looking like someone threw glitter on the buds. Yellowing continues on the fan leaves but it's gradual. The buds are definitely still growing so I made the right call not trying to give her nitrogen a week ago. I looked at the tricomes under magnification and they are mixed clear and cloudy with a few Amber so getting close I think. She's using less water so I took that as another signal she's finishing up and stopped giving her nutrients. I doubt it will be a big yeild but I'm stoked with how the buds look and smell. I clipped a sample bud on day 63 which I'm hang drying to test. AH. Unfortunately not getting a second light so she will have to wait until the BB is done before I switch to 12/12. Thanks for checking in dudes ✌️🏼

Harvest day ( 70) 👍🏼 with mixed feelings she is coming down. I'll miss checking in on her but looking forward to having some quality bud whenever the urge grabs me. Tester bud smoked up soo good. The effects are exactly what I'm looking for - engaging in the mind and melow in the body, it's 'do stuff' weed that made me feel baked not fried. Up there with the tastiest bud I've ever smoked. Sweet and delicious, it does actually taste like berries! It's had an extra 6 days to marinate since the sample was clipped. I built a drying box out of a small cupboard with an extraction fan to keep it dark with air exchange. 6 days later she's going into the jars. 36 grms dry! Definitely plenty of room for improvement, but my goal was over an ounce for my frist plant, so stoked with that. Despite all the mistakes I made along the way she turned out awesome. Learnt a bunch and can't wait to pop another seed to put it into practice. Thanks Ilgm for the sweet seed. Now the attention turns to the Amenisa Haze which has not auto flowered after 84 days, sigh. 🤞🏼12/12 gets her going because she is a monster. Happy growing crew 🤙🏼

Amenisa Haze now has the tent to herself. I transplanted her into a 5 gal pot and did alot of lst to spread her out and some defoliation. Can't believe I had two plants in here before, she's huge! The lights are now on 12/12 as she never auto flowered. She's got 3 weeks to flower or it's off with her head and something new takes her place. Thanks for stopping by dudes, happy growing ✌️🏼

Ten days after switching the lights we have pre flowers and new pistols! She definitely didn't like being transplanted and suffered some wilting for first few days then showed signs of nute burn. Perking up again now and stretching. Hopefully I can get her healthy and go the distance. Thanks for checking in 🤟🏼

Buds are stacking, feeling sticky and showing a little frost. It's getting its smelly in the tent. The slightest hint of purple in the pistols now. Photos don't do it justice. The nute burn seems to have stopped. Quite a bit of yellowing on the worst burnt fan leaves so not sure if that is fallout from the burn / transplanting or a new deficiency. Next water I'll go straight water until run off and check the pH ppm and make my plan. Stay classy San Diego 🤙🏼

Hi squad 👋 Situation - My auto did not auto flower. I changed the lights to 12/12 - 10 days later flowers 🌸. That was 4 weeks ago. I'm still on 12/12 If I change the lights to 18/6 will that increase yeild or put it back in veg? It's ilgm auto AH seed. Thanks Crew. GH✌️

She's on her way now. Buds are fattening and looking frosty- not as sticky as the Blueberry so not sure if that's genetic or environmental. Trichomes are small and mostly clear under the lense. She hasn't gained any height this week so we are fully in the flower zone. Still probably needs a month. Definitely haven't got the feeds dialed in, yellowing continues on the fan leaves and some nute burn, ph of soil is 6.3 and the water comes out. O.3 ph points lower than it goes in. I think it's mostly nitrogen deficiency ( unless it's bugs I can't see ). I hit it with 2 feeds of NPK nutes this week that will hopefully get it through the rest of flower with enough nitrogen. If starts fading again I'll lean into it, after all I'm growing buds not leaves 🤟🏼 Thanks for stopping by - May the force be with ✌️🏼 GH.

Pretty steady week in the tent. Gave her ph water in between feeds and she lost her green colour overnight. I figure she's telling me she's hungry so I switched back to feeding her next water and the fade stopped. I'll keep feeding her every water until she shows me cloudy trichomes. The buds are looking plump and showing off their purple side. Especially the top bud of each collar. Tricomes are a mix of clear and cloudy buds at the top definitely look ripper. Still a ways to go before harvest. Cheers for checking in dudes 🤟🏼

Smells delicious now, buds are fattening and looks pretty close from the outside in. Tricomes on the top buds are 70 cloudy / 30 clear on the lie detector at the top and 60 / 40 on the lower buds. When I see Amber I'll start flushing. I'm stoked it didn't auto now, making me watch the plant instead of the weeks. A week of fluctuating temps out side the tent has kept me on my toes managing the environment inside. She seems to be handling it fine but it's not ideal. Top buds are really dense, mold now would break my heart so I put an extra fan inside to keep the air movement high and offset the humidity. Tricomes are mostly cloudy with a bit amber showing. I'll give her straight water from now on. Thanks for stopping by✌️🏼

She's down after 36 hrs of dark. looked cooked compared to the BB, hairs turned down, tricomes cloudy and amber and really fat buds on top. Quick trim of the fan leaves and back the tent to hang dry. Didn't weigh it wet. She's much denser up top than the BB and I'm guessing there is double the amount of buds, will report back on it yeild once it's dry. Definitely a steep learning curve for my first grow as it turned out not to be an auto flower. I'm greatful for that now as I can already see the advantages of photos regarding size and forgiveness of mistakes in veg. I honestly thought photos would be too hard for a complete novice. Not scared now. I doubt I'll buy auto seeds again. It went a 77 days in flower and 23 weeks total, lol. Cheers to everyone who checked out this grow and passed on advice. I really appreciate this place as a community and resource for growing. Until next time✌️🏼GH out.
