She handled the transplant very well despite every time I do one the dirt does not hold together well and I'm left padding the roots and plant into a new stable position. I never get the solo cup soaked enough to stick together properly, for fear of drowning the little seedling.
Can anyone recommend how high and what percentage to run my light. The leaves have not been strongly perked up in a few days and I wonder if it's that the intensity of light is too high. I've been at 80% at around 14 inches. vipraspectra p600. Critical purple auto.

Short answer -- watch internodes and don't let them stretch. By the time the serrated, lobed leaves get larger, it'll probably handle full intensity. If they get too tight, that's too much light. if they stretch, that's too little light.
Why/how and ramblings.
Basically, this can be a little different for every plant, but you can use the same method and get consistent results.
Observe internode length. Internode is the part of plant between 2 nodes... it will 'stretch' if the plant is not provided enough light.
So, it's easy to tell when not giving enough light. How tight do you want the nodes? Again, needs a little trial and error. Plants have different growth patters, so there is no one-size-fits-all solution here.
Too much light -- plant will wilt... all over. not just the petioles and leaves. Extreme issues will result in pale spots forming near top in most intense areas of light. Before that, internode can be almost non existent. If you see 4+ leaves all originating from nearly the same spot and you don't have a mutation, it's very likely too much light. The nodes have grown too tight and everything will be on top of each other, which will be good for mold and other microbial life, maybe even pests too?
So, obeserve how the spacing of nodes works out, adjust any light.
if you have a cheap lux meter, thery are fine to use under any 1 light (same spectrum, cct, et al.). Don't take readings from 1 light and apply it to a different light unless it is exactly the same down to diodes. But, you can measure and see the lux value and the next plant will be very similar. you can set light height or dimmer, then observe for any adjustments based on what the plant does.
Subtle differences will exist. You are not far away from full-bore.
Ambient CO2 levels will impact how much you can give a plant. So will VPD (temp + RH%), but light intensity and co2 is the determining factor for optimal VPD. This is why how much a plant can take is variable...
So, be wary of anyone giving exact recommendations without 100% confidence. This is only meant to be used as a ballpark concept given all the factors that matter and that we rarely control them all in the same way.
Slow week due to suspected N toxicity and possible over watering. Mild effects of both caused slightly darker and heavy leaves. I initially put maybe one teaspoon of 4-3-4 in my soil when I saturated it for transplanting thinking that 1 tsp soaked into the whole pot would be mild enough of a boost for my early veg but I guess auto's truly are sensitive to nutes early on. 7 gal of soil takes quite awhile to dry out so I'm holding off on the flush till maybe 4-5 days from last watering to be sure too much water is not an issue again as well.
Great week overall, very satisfied with the progress on the 4-5 side tops I've been working on. Achieved only with very slight top tying of the plant and then tucking leaves where possible.
OH NO! A bee flew past my face while I was tending to the plant and caused me to bump my table. I have two tables on top of each other, so the plant can reach the light hanging from my ceiling, and there's not much clearance on the legs of the top table and the surface of the bottom table; So it slid off. I immediately settled the plant back in the pot, got it back up, and trimmed the only ruptured branch. I then braced the other weakened branches by tying them to the grow light and trimmed a few bottom leaflets and any extra low hanging pieces to reduce overall load on the plant in the repair process. The light was also dimmed quite a bit to signal to the plant to focus more repairing the roots and structure, and not new growth as much.
I'm happy that after 24 hours the plant has not withered and has shown a tiny tiny yet commendable amount of pep, considering the impact of falling a few feet and the shocking "transplant." I will wait at least 2 to 3 days before testing the full ability of the branches to hang on their own. Nothing else was ruptured or severely damaged that's left on the plant, just bent a bit too low to trust hanging and righting themselves on their own.
Plant seems fully recovered from the drop it had last week. Can't help but imagine the extra growth that could have taken place if not for that. Some of the leaf tips are very slightly yellowed, I assume from stress rather than nutrient deficiency. I will however add a low dose of Tiger Bloom next watering as now even the very dark leaves that were over N'd before have started showing their more natural lighter green color. Not sure if the 2-8-6 will provide enough N for the rest of the growth cycle but I will not add anymore of my 4-3-4 unless I notice yellowing on some of the lower leaves. Good growth this week. The canopy is pretty even. I would love to bend my main stem more out of the way but it's gotten pretty stiff and doesn't feel like it wants to bend much more. I believe I am suffering from a calcium deficiency, as I've found brown spots and dullness on a small percentage of leaves. I am getting mag but not cal from my nutes, so I made some egg shell cal with 6 egg shells, 500ml of water and 1tsp of apple cider vinegar. I also have 1 quart of mineral water with 35ml cal and 75mg potassium per bottle. I'm wondering how much to use per gallon of regular tap water and would the potassium be in moderate levels in that ratio as well?
Very smooth week overall. I finally got some calmag on hand and watered in about 2gal amounting in a tiny pool of run off. This is actually the first time I've watered till a sizeable run off. I think my 7gal pot has allowed me to push most of the build up of nutes to the bottom of the pot, without fully expelling them in run off, but keeping most of it away from the roots. Since I'm a new grower I was concerned about water logging my roots with slow uptake and drying periods. Now 2 weeks into flower and with the plant using more water I have no worries about fully saturating the medium. The calmag really seemed to make the plant feel better. Here's to hoping I can dial the nutes in well for the final few weeks. As a final note, I'm happy to see some frost begin to take it's hold on the bud site foliage.
Plant leaves are getting very claustrophobic against one another. Beginning to wonder when would be the time to remove some upper fan leaves to improve light to the mid stack buds. Vertical growth seems to have about stopped. I'm hoping so because I experienced slight light burn this week from the light being only 10in away from the top buds. Light has now been raised as far as it can be, about 15in away, without drastically altering the setup. Would really hate using less power out of my already low power light and screwing the lower growth due to a little burn. : ( Good week though. Smell is beginning to come thru. Will describe it more next week!
Easy week. Half the hairs are brown. Trichomes are getting quite tall with small patches of cloudy but still most are glassy. I'm assuming I'm just a bit over 2 weeks from harvest. Should just be using plain water from this point on, maybe a little molasses. Not sure if there's any defoliation left I should be doing. I've removed a handful of lower paler leaves, ones that were dreadfully clumped together and a couple from the top to allow a bit more light penetration. This was spaced out over about a week or so.
Trichomes are about 40% cloudy. Plant was fed only water this week. Nugs are getting bigger. Hoping for them to be harvestable either end of week 11 or mid week 12.
Only water this week continuing on with my flush. I may have timed it a bit early considering the trichomes are in my best estimate about 70% of the way where they need to be. I can only spot a couple ambers per nug. However most of the "clear" trichomes are showing a slight haze now too. The fade and canibalization of the leaves seems to have come on a lot heavier than I would have liked with many dying leaf tips. The point of no return has been reached though imo and I'll not fertilize again. A couple branches are heavy and needed support. I'm still eyeing a harvest this weekend in hope the final ripening of the trichomes accelerates in the final week and I can enjoy my first home grown mega dank, sooner rather than later!
Grow in stasis currently. The plant looks like it wants to be finished so badly. Almost 0 white hairs. Trichomes are however still not done. I'm writing this late due to not being sure of harvest. So I'm almost ending week 13 now and trichomes still could have another week to go. I'll probably harvest in 5 days max. I'm tired of waiting and watching the plant die.
After waiting 101 days, around 14 and 1/2 weeks, I still only got around 70% cloudy cover with mostly clear left and only sparse amber. I feel this is due to me jumping way ahead of myself in pulling back nutes in the final weeks. I misjudged how long ripening would take in my extreme anticipation of my first grow. I would for sure prefer a little more but my samples have been promising. The dry was 8 days. I was hoping for at least a 10 day dry but my gut told me they were ready for full trim. The buds were smokable, but prone to going out in a cigar wrap if I didn't hit it for a bit. Dry feeling on the outside, yet the very middle still has some grease and smush. I think it seems like it's in a good place for jar curing. We shall see. Only time will tell.
Very tasty already, with moderate intensity aroma that I hope intensifies with the cure. It is still a bit harsh now obviously, as I am only 8 days since harvest while writing this.

Was a wonderful experience. Thanks for the help. If not for my drop early in veg and my flushing issue, I think I could have cranked out some really cup worthy stuff. I don't think it will quite hit that mark but next time will be better. I am just hoping for some supreme flavor and smoothness after a couple weeks of curing if not the most intense potency ever.
I would definately chop those now. Your strain has a seed to harvest time of 50 to 60 days which is well over where you are at right now. Sometimes it is good to let them go an extra week if you don't like where they are at...but your in the danger zone now for nanners to develop and start pollenating your buds for reproduction. If you let a strain flower too long without harvesting, they will go into survival mode and reproduce for seeds next year!

Ill recheck that seed to harvest time but I thought it said 55 to 60. Might be another seed banks critical purple. Thats the funny thing about going off of other people grows here on grow diaries. I was actually trying to do that in the beginning of my first grow, but you need to remember that alot of people on here are in the same boat as you. Either with little or no expierience so I almost found out the hard way not to trust other peoples grows on here. I ended up just doing more of my own research and really examining my plant everyday top to bottom to go with my own gut instinct on when they are finished. If I would of stuck to going by other peoples grows on here, I would of screwed up my whole plant. Some people on here were letting the strain I was growing go 14 to 16 weeks from seed to harvest, when the recommended seed to harvest was anywhere from 8-11 weeks tops. They paid the price fror doing so, as there bud turned out flavorless and all the bottoms of the buds that were old growth were completely amber if not black lol They said it gave them the biggest headache of there life when smoking it. So its up too you at the end of the day...but if I were you I would do your own research and go on your own gut instinct, because trusting other peoples grows and trusting everyones word on what to do will only get you deeper into trouble with your plants. TRUST ME ON THIS ONE. This is why so few are actually successful at harvesting grade A cannabis. It is very tricky and requires alot of research, attention to detail, and just plain ol' expierience @yatzi,
@TJshortstop24, I feel like the plant is in rough looking shape too, but it says 70-80 days on GC website. I'm pretty sure I've looked at many critical purple grows on here that went to at least 12 weeks. I'm still seeing barely any ambers what so ever, and some more trichomes need to finish clouding. I believe my trichomes are about 80% of the way there now however. I'm gonna give it at least 2 more days, and maybe up to 5 or so if works out that way. I'm looking to chop asap though!
