As it is my first grow, its been a bit stressful; pretty sure I overwatered early, but have eased off and using multiple methods to test soil moisture. Also the Difference between each plant in the same genome (Jack Herer) is...well...I really don't know how to say it, just the pictures do it better justice. Admittedly, I probably should be taking pictures of all three every day, guess I was lazy about that, will proceed to document each from now on. As far as I can tell, they aren't technically in veg, at the moment, they are only 12 days (from seed) old, so I know they will develop more, but I feel like I am starting to see some problems in plant 2; recently developing a small brown spot on one of the lower leaves, some leave curling, and some lower growth being twisted and inconsistent. Not really sure what to do, but my plan as of right now is to wait until the soil dries up some more and do a big flush, and then checking the PH and PPM of the run off. If anyone has any advice, I would certainly appreciate it, I have other pictures I can provide, too. Thanks for all the love for the seedlings and the grow!!!

Growing nicely! They are really spreading out now, I think they're is finally done stretching her roots. Will be starting some LST in the coming week(s) when there is room to do so. Just uploaded the pics of the center plant as the other two look almost identical.

Foliage started growing like crazy, so in the past couple of days I've been removing some lower leaves and trying to train some of the larger branches. Spotted a bit of what looked like mold on the leaves nearest the soil, so I removed them and set up a fan to blow through the lower areas of the plants. Also trying to address what I believe is a cal/mag deficiency so have increased dose of the Cal-Mag Plus for a couple of waterings to try to compensate for what I believe is the problem. Watching closely for signs that she wants Nitrogen, but she seems fine otherwise. The pictures are of the center plant as the other two are identical. I also believe that they just entered into pre-flower as they are starting to sprout small hairs and showing/confirming their sex. Seems a bit early, but It's exciting to get to this point in my first grow!

Need some help identifying a problem I think I am having with my plants. These spots have shown up in all of my plants and have only been on a few leaves, randomly, in the whole grow. Just need some help narrowing down the issue, if anyone has the time. Thanks! Limited text space

Did some LST so as to even out the canopy, but have stopped about two days ago. Moved over to flowering nutrients since she seems to want some P and K, somewhat badly, some leaf damage here and there. She doesn't seemed to have grown a whole lot over the past week, thinking that she has been stressed by the LST and the lack of nutrients, maybe. Did a heavy water yesterday so I could test the Ph, went in at 6.2 and came out at 5.7. So I am planning on giving 6.7 for a couple of waterings to see if I can bring the soil Ph up some. Still doin some leaf tucking to try to expose all the flowering sites and get them some fresh light.

Put on a lot of height in a week, girls are thirsty, too.. Still combating some Nitrogen def in the plants on the left and right, but on the upside the chlorotic lower leaves allowed the under-canopy to open up and get some more airflow. I changed up feeding and started feeding with the Fox Farm schedule, also ordered some top mix of bat guano 8-3-1 to try to get the girls some more Nitrogen, being careful to only supplement a little at a time to avoid lockout and toxicity.

Noticeable smell increase, but curiously it doesn't seem to be from the flowers but from the stems/trunk. I smell nothing from the flower itself, but if I just touch the stem, anywhere, I get a strong smell, pleasant smell on my fingers, just an interesting observation I wasn't expecting. Kinda assumed the flowers put off the super strong stank. Trying to deal with some soil Ph "issues;" took a runoff Ph test on my watering today. Water Ph'd to 6.5-6.6 runoff was 5.7-5.8. So I'll need to do some maths to try to rectify the Ph in order to optimize nutrient uptake, which is also probably why I've been seeing some signs of Nitrogen deficiency. Also, it may be absolute BS, but does any one know if self defoliating cannabis plants is a real thing, seems crazy but was doing some reading and I ran across some "mentions" of it. Suppose it wouldn't matter if its a thing or not, since now I know my runoff Ph is so low, it has to be affecting the uptake of Nitrogen. Noticed the girls take a little while to wake up on days they will be getting a watering, probably has something to do with being a bit dry and/or wanting some water, just another observation. Will definitely need to get a bigger tent, as this grow with only 3 plants has exploded in this tent and at this point I'm having to cram the plant into the tent. I do plan on continuing to grow, so maybe I will just go all out and get a 5x5, not sure, since that also means I will need to upgrade everything else, lights, exhaust fan, fert supply, etc... Exciting to think about my future in growing, not excited when I think what I'll have to spend to optimize it.

Any recommendations as to what "time" to move the girls. Got a new tent and didn't know if it would be better to move them during their night cycle or day cycle. Gotta move the whole setup, so they will be without light for some time, but still exposed to ambient. Explain too. xD

Sorry mate, these are stems heavily attacked by rot. No one could do anything. Probably leaves will show symptoms of potassium/nitrogen deficiency. Plant will react anticipating the maturation. The yield is compromised, less bud's quality. Probably all these spots have been caused by heavy roots suffering and/or eenvironment imbalance.

Well.... I'm afraid my girls may not make it much longer. I believe they may be coming down with Fusarium, the last week's Questions' pictures tell the story better than I can. I have some Captan Fungicide coming in soon, but as far as I know there is no treatment for it besides preventatives and changing the environment, which I have done. I know they only have a few weeks left before harvest, but from what I've seen, this stuff strikes and kills fast...... :/ I'm happy with the new setup, and the girls seem to really have enjoyed moving out of that cramped 2x4. With all the extra room it allows me to better control the environment with fans, a heater, and a full size dehumidifier. Just started dialing back the nutrients, as I expect to harvest within the next 2-3 weeks...Really hoping they can fight whatever disease is attacking them until them. Wish me luck.

Okay...Got a second light (SF-2000) so I could spread the ladies out and get them plenty of light coverage. They seem to be taking to the new grow space and loving it. The "Stem Rot" hasn't really reared its ugly head since I caught of glimpse of it during the transfer. I culled any branches that showed signs of the rot on all the plants, but really it was only the one (Plant 3) that had it. If I could give an educated guess as to what caused it, because of the cramped 2x4 and my inability to maintain proper environmentals in that grow space is the primary cause of the rot. Flowering is looking wonderful, really has a distinct smell now. A good kind of stank that I have found quite pleasing. I estimate to have about two weeks before harvest, but as this is my first grow, that is just a rough estimate; could be sooner, could be later, we shall see. Trichomes are growing dense and her buds are starting to fatten up, really looking forward to the next few weeks, it's an exciting time!!!

Wow you’ve done well with your Jack Herer. Well yeah you’re turning down the final stretch here and your plant are maybe a little hungry. This yellowing is actually pretty normal. It is the plant’s way of getting the nutrients it needs to make sweet bud. I’ve had the same problem with Jane and it came on a lot sooner than yourself. No need to freak out. Your buds are all in great shape and that’s the prize not fan leaves. Keep on your feeding regiment and set yourself up for a good flush. You’re just around the corner. When you initiate the flush the fan leaves will start to yellow even more and it’s completely normal. Happy grow man 🤙

No extra height put on, but some definite weight gain. The stems in some location were starting to strain so I had to tie them to the main stem and around the pot to keep them from slouching over. Just started my first flush 3 gals on water day as opposed to the normal 1 gal. That was this past friday and coming monday I will flush again. The trichomes have started turning cloudy much faster than expected. Trying/ Hoping I can get in at least one more good flush before I cut them down. Gonna post a question to see if I can get some insight and then decide. Edit: Will be maintaining the normal watering routine but with just Ph'd waterings of normal volume and frequency. I don't know if it matters or not but maybe I'd like to explain my reasoning with the 3 gal initial flush I had been feeding them what felt like a lot of chems for most of its life, while I was just following the directions on a "bottle" I always felt like it was too much when my main problem the whole time was maintaining proper soil Ph for efficient nutrient uptake, for which I had well below proper soil Ph almost the entire grow. That didn't change as I didn't take drastic measures to change it despite always watering with a Ph'd solution 6.3-6.5. Needless to say the huge "flooding" of the plant was to really get everything I could out of the soil, and I didn't do it all at once; with warm water I gave them a gallon each 1/hr for 3 hours. It may have been unnecessary, perhaps even detrimental. But, at the time, with my limited knowledge, it seemed logical. Thanks everyone for the wonderful help!

I believe my plants reaching their prime harvesting point in just a couple days. I was late on my first flush, just two days ago, going to flush on the next day. Question; is it more important to get a full flush (10-14 days) or optimal harvest point in about (5-7) total.

You still got quite a way to go, at least another 2-3 weeks, perhaps more. Start flushing when she has about 90% brown pistils and harvest when there are around 95-98% brown pistils, for prime cannabinoids and peak THC, and with a mind bending head high. If you prefer a more drowsy, couch locking stone, due to degraded THC levels and elevated CBD and CBN levels, start flushimg when there are about 95% brown pistils and harvest when there are 100% brown pistils. I flush for about ten to twelve days, meaning I give just plain water, nothing else for this time. Making sure your plants are at peak maturity should be your prime focus, but having a decent flush is vital for a smooth smoke, so both of these things are of equal importance. It is easy/ok to flush a bit longer, as maturation can be drawn out, but timing the two together is a matter of experience and being able to "read" your plants. If you follow my suggestions regarding pistil colour and harvest timing, you won't be disappointed. I have been judging my harvest according to pistil colour for more than three decades and find it simpler and more reliable than the "trichome colour method" which has many flaws in my opinion, as some plants will never develop amber trichomes and some strains will have 75% amber trichomes after only 4 weeks of flowering, with both situations being not ideal for deciding when to harvest. Remember too, flushing does not involve drowning the bejeezus out of your plants, just give plain water in normal amounts, this is all that is needed. The idea is for the plant to "use up" any residual fertilizer salts in its system, not drown your plants. Hope this helps, Organoman.

One plant (Plant 2) is jarred for curing, it was the first plant I took down that was ahead in maturity in comparison to the others. It was wet trimmed and mesh basket dried. The other two plants, that should be down and curing by next week, are still currently drying. Plants 1 and 3 are hanger drying on the primary stalk. Update 20 OCT: Plant 3 has now dried sufficiently to jar and start curing it. Added pictures ;) Update 25 OCT: Plant 1 has now been dried and jared. Pictures added.
