Day 1 😎 and day 2 with coco and automatic watering system. Atm it's 10min watering every hour. I chose Skunk #1 because it should be easy to grow and it's my first time with coco. For the first few days I will not give them A+B fertilizer, I will check when there's a need for. Also the Kind LED is not in use at this point as it would be too much energy for them little babies which could cause some problems. I will use LED sunglasses when the Kind LED is on because it spreads so much red light. You will see when it's the time. On day 4 I gave Ata clean into the tank and added a bubbler.

I turned on the second LED light, a Kind K3 450, which immediatly heated up the box to 31°C. I will have to wait another night until I can say how cold it is at night. Also on day 8, I gave them their first shot of B'cuzz Coco A + B. I am really excited how they will be looking tomorrow. On day 9 I gave them flowers some more fertilizer. The EC was down at 0,06 so I had to push it. I am absolutly newbish about this kind of growing (on coco). I hope, everything I do is good for them plants and it kinda looks like. I am trying to be perfect by using all the stuff that is required and by just following rules. It is working good for me so far. On day 10 first problems occured, the air is way too hot in the box. I just turned our night to their day. I hope it will cure the temperature problems. Also I added another fan and I turned the the exhaust speed fan to max to get a lower temperature in the box. When I left the temp was 30.8° C which was the lowest that I saw when the box was open. Hopefully will be better conditions tomorrow after the daytime/nighttime change. Highest temp I had in the box was 33° C which was definetaly too hot! Putting on the light during nighttime was a really good idea to keep the temperature lower. On day 12 I have some burned spots still only on one plant. Not sure what it is but I will keep an eye on it. WHen I sorted the pictures my brain started too work again: it is only windburn which should be gone when changing the fan's height. Also I put the light closer to the plants because it is LED and the plants should be loving it. The EC has been down so I put some fertilizer into the taaaaaank! 😎 On day 13 I try to flush the plants that is why I go up to 3,6l per plant in 24h. Day 14 and the plants look pretty good. Added a CO2 bag. Two more weeks to go 'til flowertime.

On day 15 I topped them. I used a new razorblade for that. Also I set the EC to 1.68 with some good Atami fertilizer. The ph was set to 5.9. The plants still look great 👍🏿 Even though the temperature is too high I hope the CO2 bag will help standing out the heat. Also I sprayed this VeloKelp onto the plants to give them some boost. On day 16 I started adding Coco Booster. Due to the topping two days ago the plants' growth looks a little bit chaotic but it is alright. I added some little more coco boosterand sprayed some Remo onto the leafes. The plants grow very fast! On day 20 I supercropped them. On day 21 I changed the water and cleaned the tank. The water has been a bit smelly but it is okay again now.

On day 22 I superscrogged them again (photos were taken before) because I want them to use all the empty space in the tent. Also I added a SCRoG net. This week is the last week in vegetation. Plans for this week: make cuttlings and make them plants as comfortable as possible. Next week will be flowertime. Can hardly wait! On day 24 I changed the water in the tank because it had a bad quality. I added another pump to the tank to keep the water in movement. Also I sprayed some of the Remo fertilizer onto the leaves. The empty space is getting less and it kinda looks like I can set to flowermode a few days earlier (maybe tomorrow on day 25?!). But before I send them into flowermode I have to take some clones/cuttlings. Day 25 and wow! As you can see there is a lot of training on the pictures of day 25. Unfortunately I broke a branch. I try to fix it. Have not had this before. Sh...t... well, things happen. So, day 26 and I cut some clones/cuttlings. While they were outside their safe box something fell on two plants and broke to branches fully. Bad luck but I cannot change it so it is just a learned lesson. Take more care! Day 27: First day of flowertime. The broken branch seems to be almost fixed, the leaves on it are in good conditions. Plus I forgot to take a photo of the last plant on day 27. It has been a pretty tough week in the real world.

Day 28 is the first day of flowering. I superscrogged three of them again today to keep them under the net. I hope they will grow as fast as in the last 4 weeks. Really excited how much the outcome will be. Day 29 straight from the darkness with a green led-light on my head and the flashlight of my smartphone camera. It is a pretty jungle in there but I will keep an eye on it and help to develop some fat buds hopefully. Day 30 and I superscrogged them again. This is very experimental!!! I have never superscrogged a plant so much before. I hope it does increase the harvest! We will all know in the end if it helped or if it has been bad for the plants. We all will see. Day 31 and I had to put them under the net again. Three or four branches had to be superscrogged again for that. I forgot the stretching of the plants or did not expect them to have such a big stretch. Yeah but they grow as fast as before. Day 33 the pump died. Replaced it with a new one which is supersilent! Happy about that. The plants grew very much, I should have taken them into flowermode a few days or a week before. Cleaned the tank and made a new mix. Day 34 the plants grew very fast towards the LED so I decided to superscrog them again one more and hopefully last time. DON‘T DO THIS IF YOU DON‘T KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING! As I said this is very experimental and I hope I don’t hurt the plants in a way that the crop will be less.

Is superscrogging in the beginning of the flowertime (1st week) (very) bad for the plants? They grew to high and I had no other chance to get them more away from the LED light. I‘ve had burned flower (like an albino)

No they will be fine and recover. It may slow growth by a day or so but that would be about it. Good luck on your grow!

We are in week 2 of the flowering. Today I added Bloombastic. The plants forgot they were superscrogged and just grew as fast as before. The height can be a problem in the next weeks, I hope the stretch is over now and they can concentrate on building flowers. Day 36 I gave them some more Bloombastic. And I took off almost every leave and small branch under the net because they would not get enough light and they shall concentrate on getting big buds instead of small flowers. Day 37: Due to size problems I decided not to take a picture of every plant every day but one pictures of all a day. Plus when the flowers are getting bigger, I will stay focused on the growth on some of them (not all, that is business secret 😆). Also I will take pictures of the finished flowers at the end, don't know yet of all or just a few (business secret). But I will definately tell the weight of 'em all in the end so stay tuned 😎 Day 38: I knew I would get size problems again. I brought them all under the net again. A few branches broke during that action. But that's just the way it is. They are too big so I have to find solutions. My solution is "getting them under the net". Kinda works out but I will see the result tomorrow, today it's been kinda tricky not to hurt them. Day 40: I put one branch under the net it was too high and did not get enough light because of that. Should be fixed now. The flowers are coming nice and slowly. I am so excited, I can hardly wait. Day 41: I had to put some branches under the net again.

Don’t forget: this diary is updated daily!!! Week 3 of the flowering and I Am still excited as funk 🤓 during the daytime the plants do not get any water so the substrate is getting dry during daytime. Day 43: I bend down some of the branches that were to close to the LED panels to avoid burned flowers. I hope this was the last time I had to do this. Day 44: New pictures, ph down (like every day). Nothing else though. Day 45: Bend down two more branches to get them away from the LED. The flowers grow fast in week 3 of the flowertime. I thought the flowers would come earlier though. 😳 Day 46: Another two had to be bent down so I did. Although it's LED light, the flowers can "burn". They just get white and have no cannibinoids in it. They are burned and so they are worthless. Even though those white flowers look really really nice, just like an albino flower. Day 47: Cleaned the tank and made a new water-fertilizer-mix. And bought a new pump for the tank that is twice as strong as the pump before. This pump is only for the tank to keep the water in movement. Day 48: What could possibly happen in this grow. One clusterof my Kind LED is broken and the growshop I bought it from is updating its website. The plants are going well so far, but I am really pissed about the LED panel and I'm thinking about replacing the Kind with some more Sanlight S2W panels. Gosh!

Day 49: I found out that bio products will let the water smell like shit in a pretty little time (around 2 days). I put some Purolyt into the tank to get a better water quality but maybe I have to clean the tank again tomorrow. After sleeping a night over I decided not to buy new LED lights directly. But in the next grow I probably will replace the Kind with 3 of Sanlight's S2W. The broken cluster will decrease my crop about 12,5%. That's at least the power that is missing. Not so good but better than a loss of even more. Day 50: Only ph down. Water still smelly but yeah, the plants don't mind. Day 52: I added 20 liters of water to the tank and added most of the fertilizers except Gen200 whcih I think was the reason the water got so smelly so fast.

Week 9 and they are still doing good. That is all a grower wants! Four more weeks to go. And I bend down another branch because it has been to close to the LED and I don't want any blossom to get burned. Njoy the impressions! Day 57: I cut down 3 branches that did not grow as I expected them to grow. They were all superscrogged. I think I will not be doing this again and will just use LST next time. The "space light" (it's the Kind LED) will be gone in the next grow and I will be using 4x Sanlight S2W. Day 58: Only ph down Day 59: EC was at 2.5 so I just gave pure water into the tank and ph'ed it down. EC is now 1.85 Day 60: EC is at 2.15, ph'ed down a bit to 5.5 and took of some dead leafes that did not get enough light. Ah, I forgot: I put in another Sanlight S2W. 😉 Day 61: gave 'em pure water because the EC was up to 2.4 again and now it is at 1.75. ph is at 5.6 Day 62: nothing special, just ph'ed down and watched the EC rising again. Gotta clean the tank tomorrow.

There we go, it‘s week #10 with Skunk #1 and these beautiful pictures. The EC is at 2.0 and the ph at 5.8... let’s see them still growing in the last 2 weeks. Njoy! Day 64: New pictures online! EC is going up every day just like ph. Problem today is the heat! The water in the tank has exceeded 25°C and the temperature is not going to be cooler in the next week. That is why I added Purolyt. To prevent the water in the tank from getting algae and other sh*t. 😎 Day 65: Maybe it was too much Purolyt yesterday or the plants just give away all the leafes that are not in the light. Have to check tomorrow with lights off if something went wrong. Put 10liter pure water into the tank and ph'ed down. Day 66: I know the water in the tank is too warm with 26° C. I will have to solve this problem. (I think I will use icecubes or something like that) But the flowers look pretty good. They stand the heat better than we do.(35° C outside in the city!) Day 67: Still problems with the water temperature in the tank. Put an ice pack inside to get the temp down. Won't be helping long but for a moment. Day 69: Still problems with the hot summer. Heat is up to 31,2° C but the plants seem to like it. Water temp went down to 24.4° C after refilling 10l pure water. After that I checked the EC which is at 1.86 and ph'ed down to 5.6 Planning to harvest soon, maybe in one week, what do you guys think? The white spots in the blossoms are burned blossoms that contains no thc or cbd. It looks like an albino flower to me. 😌 I can't avoid them because the tent is too low.

Week 11 (Day 70) with the Skunk #1. Today I cleaned the tank, decided to give them one more growing week and made a new water mix with Gen200 and all the other fertilizers. I will be uploading new pictures every day as I did all the weeks before. Njoy them pictures and smell what you see 😇 Because of the fresh water in the tank the temp of it is only around 20° C. And because of the high temps inside the tent I placed an iced bottle inside. Will check the min/max temps tomorrow. Day 71: Today I ph'ed down too much (5.4), then I added 10l pure water to clear the ph again and ph'ed it down again to 5.4 💩💩💩 I hope the plants won't take it too bad. The iced water bottle inside the tent helped a little but the temps outside went down a little bit (max 31.8° instead of 32.2°) so it 's possible that the outside temp was responsible for the "inside the tent temp". All in all the blossoms look good and are pretty full and hard. The leafes under the Kind LED feel hard 'n'try but they get enough water. Some leafes are really easy to break down but for some leafes the plants fight hard as funk... Two weeks to go. 👌 Day 72: The EC went up to 2.15 again the ph is at 5.8 - water temp is ok for the moment (under 25° C). Added some Purolyt to get rid of the strange smell from the tank. I think it is from the Gen200 but I cannot say it for sure. Could be any organic fertilizer and I am really not sure which fertilizer is organic and which one is not. Will add more water tomorrow morning. Day 73: Added fresh cold water today and the EC went down to 1.8 - temp is under 25° so everything is ok. Ph is at 5.7 Day 74: Wanted to start flushing today but when I saw how much water was left in the tank I decided to give them plants more of this watermix. When the tank is more empty I will start flushing, so about one or two days. EC is at 1.9 which seems okay to me. Ph is 5.5 Day 75: Alright, I didn't do anything today except checking the ph and EC. ph 5.7 EC 2.15. Tomorrow will be first day of flushing (with Canna Flush) and after that they will only be getting pure ph corrected water with Atazyme. And then it is only 1one week to go. So excited! 😙

I found one leaf that has some serious problems (Day 72 last picture - single leaf). We have to weeks to go and I do not panic. But I wanna know if this is a problem with anything or just their lifespan. Many leafes under the Kind LED feel very dry and burned but look different 😕

Hi @CloserB! Plant was overfed in the past, I can tell by looking at the burnt tips. Your room is a little bit overcrowded and your plants were not pruned enough, some parts cannot get enough light, and as you probably know, light helps in absorbing the nutrients. As a result, the lower leaves of the plant are slowly dying and the lower buds will remain small. However, I wouldn't worry too much at this stage, as mentioned by others, you're really close to the finish line, she should naturally start to fade and yellowing will spread everywhere, that's a normal thing and it will help in finding the harvest window. Hope this helps, keep us up-to-date and happy growing! 👊

Welcome to week #12 with the Skunk #1! 😎 The plants will not get any additional fertilizer by now. Tomorrow they will get flushed with Canna Flush and then I will clean the tank and the pump & all the stuff Really excited how the buds will be. The size of the buds are as big as a fist. I‘m gonna show you in the harvest week Day 78: First day of flushing. Today with Canna flush, tomorrow and the rest of next week will be pure water. Maybe with Atazyme not sure about it now. Day 79: Only pure water, no ph correction. Day 80: They still got their water so I did nothing today. New flushing tomorrow. Day 81: Day 4 of the flushing period which will be about 7 days. Today I added Atazyme. The enzymes will take care of the dead parts of the plants. It's kinda their food. That's what I have learned / what I was told / I have read. Can't really remember. The plants look good even though some leafes are really burned (those leafes around the biggest buds). I am not sure about it but I think the buds suck the energy out of the leafes. If I am wrong please correct me. Day 82: Yesterday a friend told me that I would not flush them plants enough and maybe he was right. I flushed with 20l of pure water and measured the EC of the outcoming water which was at 1.66. I think this is too high to be harvested so I decided to flush them again tomorrow with at least the same amount of water or even 10l more. I'm going to check the EC of the outcoming water again and hopefully it will be less. Day 83: Only flushing. Outcoming EC was 1.3 (pure water had 0.3) Day 84: Flushing again, outcoming EC was 1.1. Day 85: Today also only flushing, EC outcome still 1.1 - I'm not quite sure if I should harvest or give them a few more days 😕

The smell was nice and skunky! Will update the diary when it's time to do so (I think 10 days or so) - for now some harvesting pictures 😃 you can guess the dry outcome in the comments and the winner will win........ NOTHING! 😩 The outcome is 240g dry which is the most I have ever had. The buds are dense and hard, I will keep them in glass jars and open them every day for about 10 to 20 minutes. I do not taste it now because good weed needs to mellow/mature 😉 also the chlorophyll needs to get less 😎 I think I will give it 3 more days and then I will give it a first try 😇 Okay I have been really impatient and so I tried some of them buds. The taste is slighty fruity and sweet with a little taste of flowers. I really like the stoned effect which is making me creative and thinking about weird stuff under the shower 😁 Nice strain for beginners and people who like to be not THAT high 😇

This strain was really fast on coco! Although I've had some smaller problems the outcome wet is pretty much but I have no clue what the real outcome will be. 5 plants in a 80 tent is to much. At least if you grow them as big as I did. Next time I will only be growing 4 plants. I am satisfied for now and will keep you updated! I recommend breakfast bags and glasses for the ripening process . Also I have some boveda hygro packs inside the glass. Keep on growing guys & girls! 💪 000

@Larimar, yup, that's what I meant. 440 would be awesome! Last harvest has "only" been about 190g dry. So Anything over 200 would be nice. Anything over 300 would be awesome 😀

@Norwin, it's an automatic watering system. It takes 20 minutes to give them 200ml water. Tbh I don't have a runoff but I was told before to do so. Have to think about it tonight and fix it somehow tomorrow to prevent any problems. The timer has impulse (how long should the watering take) and interval, daytime and nighttime is fully controlable. I try to simulate "normal nature" around them by changing the watering times from time to time.

Norwincommented7 years ago
@Hilkes_Herbs, just be sure that you have at least 10%/20% runoff when you feed. I don't exceed 1.8EC for either veg or bloom. I prefer to mix of 70% coco and 30% perlite... Plants seem to like it more. I only water once a day around 15% of the total volume of the pot. Never had any trouble.

Yo @Hilkes_Herbs - I see you're doing the CO2 - just a couple of Qs (asking for a friend ;-) ) a. Is your grow room perfectly airtight ? b. how did you calculate how much you need ? c. does it work ? d. does it reduce temp ? I'm new to all this that why... looking good so far for you though!

Hi Bulbi, thank you for your kind words! I cannot answer all of your questions but I can give explanations about it. a. no, it's not, it is a 80x80x180cm grow tent and it has open holes. But: CO2 is heavier than air and will fall down. Plus the wind of the fans (I use 2) does circle the air enough to give all them plants (5) some CO2 b. I did not calculate it because the box is small. Also the bags are cheaper and last longer than direct CO2. I would NOT recommend this direct CO2 as a hobby grower because it will cost you a lot of money! They say a direct CO2 thing lasts for 1 month. My bag lasts at least for 6 months c. pretty hard to say, honestly. Why is it hard to say? Because I think you can only see the difference with and without CO2 if your grow conditions are exactly the same! I grow so many different strains I cannot tell if it is "really" working. But it works for me I think I have beneftis from it (more harvest in the end hopefully). At least the plants grow VERY VERY fast this time which can be also caused by the CO2! But I changed some things in the box, it's inlikely the CO2 is the main factor why they grow so fast, the biggest thing was changing the substrate. I have always used soil before and this time is my first time with coco (and I f*cking love it!!!!) d. no it does not. BUT: The plants can stand higher temperatures, the books and internet say 32° C is ok with CO2. Lowering the temperature in my box was one of the biggest problems I had in this grow. When the light (LED) was on during the daytime I have had max temps of 33+ degrees. I changed it then from daytime to nighttime which helped a lot with the high temperatures. And as they grew bigger and bigger they produce more shadows and the heat also dropped some more. If I was wrong in anything (I am no professional though) please correct me! I like knowledge about what I am doing! 😀 If you have any further questions, don't hesitate to ask them. Cheers Closer

@Larimar, thank you man! I have been growing for a while but there is improvement with every grow! I always made mistakes during any grow but the outcome was usually okay. Still I'm learning something new with every grow. It's one of the best hobbies a man can have! 😄 I can highly recommend this strain! Let's me kinda do whatever I wanna and it still keeps on growing.

Hi @Hilkes_Herbs! 👊

@Stick, so you would recommend more pruning in the 18h grow stage? Or 1 plant less? (They are 5 sisters)

@XpectResistance, yeah that's true! I've never expierenced any grow as fast as this one before. But this is the first one with coco so maybe that's the big difference. Kinda glad that somebody likes it finally 😄

@stephandjo, thank you man but it's a kinda good and easy strain that does allow almost everything you do to them. Not sure if every strain does like so much superscrogging but this strain defo does. 😇

Man, I really like those globe shaped buds. There are a few strains that flower like that. I wonder if they are all Skunk related. Anyway, beautiful shots of the tent this week. They look really, really close!

I wouldn’t worry about one leaf at this point. It’s probably just due to getting close to the end of life for the plant. She looks beautiful by the way! I’ll be watching for your harvest report! 👍
