Everything going smoothly. All girls showing signs of flowers. No issues except for some light nutrient burn on the smaller plants but only a couple leaves and could be natural. Decreased overall potassium so that should help. Maintained an 8 inch light distance every day. The big girl keeps reaching within inches of the light. She showed some signs of light burn but just on a top because it was way too close to light (touching). Cannot wait to see what the next few weeks bring!

Grow Questions

Should I defoliate more? side branching is intense and I'm not sure if it will result in larf or actual nug. Trimmed a lot of the weak looking side braching that was not exposed to light. Still looks rather bushy for my liking but I don't want to stunt them or reduce yields.

I wouldn’t take off anymore leaves at all.. but if you are wanting to concentrate bud production up higher I would probably take some of the actual buds off of that bigger pheno you have. Just on the older lower growth, like maybe two nodes/bud sites on each branch so you still have plenty above it. That lower stuff won’t be as dense like you’re saying.. it’s up to you if you don’t mind some of the popcorn bud leave it be but if you prefer focusing on the big tops, definitely take a few lower bud sites on each branch. I usually leave like 4-6 nodes up on the top of each branch depending on the strain and how close or far the internode distance is. Good luck!

Super nice grow, lots of work to those beautiful plants you have, well done! Looking for phenos i would prefer lots of smaller pots and Faster vegetation, but in your way you can really see the plant structure, kind of a dilema 🙄

@ManicMiner, Thank you I really really appreciate the kind words. I agree with your comment! Stay tuned, I am running a 17 plant hunt (from seed) in 1/2 gallon pots specifically for this reason! I just transplanted them all and I will have to create the diary and add pictures but I will be doing test crosses and taking clones and flowering the mothers, etc.etc. I can go on because I love the plant but I am hoping to breed something relatively stable in the next few years!
