I have started the germination. I use a piece of wet paper towel inside a zip loc bag to keep the moisture level constant. It never fails...
I decided to germinate 2 seeds, and I will keep the best grower later.
Not much to report so far. They seem happy as they are at the moment and they're growing fine. i'm considering top dressing some nutes for the next watering. They're in seedling strength soil until they'll get transplanted.
This two little girls grow very well. On day 13 they were ready for a topping. They were topped above node 4. I added another gram of Biogrow as a top dressing on day 12.
The girls are doing great, and now I'm just letting them veg. They have been quadlined, and from now on I'll only do some LST, removal of nodes, and defoliation. And of course transplant them into a larger pot.
The nutrients that have been mixed with the soil, and applied as top dressing keep the plants very happy and healthy so far.
I transplanted the girls to 11 liter fabric pots on day 28. In case they have to finish outdoors, I spray painted them greyish with some white paint. After the transplant I added 22 grams of Biogrow as a top dressing in each pot. I have trained the 4 branches a bit outwards/downwards to get some more main shoots.
They are still both allowed to stay in the tent as there is just enough space for them.
They are doing very well, both the indoor girl DP #1 and the one left outdoors DP #2. I put 2 grams/liter of BioBloom as top dressing at the beginning of flowering, and another 2 grams/liter today. The leaves told me she wanted a bit more. The nutrients work great and the girls are happy.
DP #1 is positioned in the center of the grow table, and where DP #2 is pictured with 2 other plants, she is the shortest to the right. The other two are a Diesel and a Cinderella 99.
Both the indoor and the outdoor girls are doing great. They are starting to stack buds.
I've added some fans and yellow sticky traps for the gnats. DP#1 is located at the rear/middle in the tent.
I am very happy with both my Dark Phoenix. They look very healthy and they grow well. The nutrients work a charm as top dressing. I haven't seen any discolouration of any leaves at all.
I haven't had to add any further feedings. Both plants leaves are beautifully dark green and they look very healthy. The outdoor girl's sisters had to get some bamboo sticks and strings for support. They are getting top heavy and I woke up to branches hanging down to the ground one morning. So far Dark Phoenix doesn't need support, but she'll be putting on some weight shortly...
Both the indoor and the outdoor girls are doing great. The indoor girl, that is a bit space limited due to an over packed grow room, got some extra space by stringing the tent sisters up towards the sides a bit. I also raised her pot a bit to give her some more light and space. The girl at the patio is happy where she is. I've had to tie her sisters up a bit, but DP#2 doesn't need any bamboo sticks or strings so far. Buds are developing beautifully, so they'll get heavier for sure. We'll see when she'll need some support.
Both the indoor and the outdoor plants are getting top heavy. They can no longer support the weight of the buds by themselves and I had to help them out a bit. They're both getting 2 long main colas. Those colas are very long and now they're filling out nicely. The buds look absolutely amazing! I think we will see some impressive end results...
I wonder what buds will get better? DP #1 has grown indoors since birth, and DP #2 was moved outdoors when flowering started. I can't decide which ones look better...
I had to emergency harvest the other 2 outdoor plants I had. Cinderella 99 collapsed overnight when it was raining. She got too heavy when she was soaked in water. The Diesel was near collapsing as well and they were both more or less ripe so they both got the chop. DP #2 will get some more time to finish up as the rain has stopped and we have beautiful dry cooler weather - perfect for finishing.
We are at the end of flowering and they don't have long to go. DP #1 is struggling a little in the tent. She has been too grown over by the other older plants. Her main colas look great, though. DP #2 is looking better from growing outdoors. They'll get a little while longer, then they'll be chopped.
The girls are almost ready to be chopped, and they'll probably go down during this week. The outdoor plant had less competition for light and she looks better than her sister that was in the tent. They both have beautiful sticky buds, though, and I can't wait to try them.
The indoor plant got harvested on day 99. She has matured a bit faster than her sister that has been flowering outdoors. She is showing a bit of deficiencies, but that's okay at this stage. Some lower branches are showing some unhappiness, but that was expected since she has been a bit squashed in the tent by her larger tent sisters. She'll slow dry for a few weeks before she'll be trimmed and jarred.
So, the outdoor plant was taken down a week after her sister that was flowering indoors. The outdoor plant, however, is looking way happier and healthier. She has loved the dry top dressing feeding she has been given. She only needed two flower applications if I remember correctly, and one was enough for vegging. She is looking absolutely beautiful and she is lovely sticky to the touch. SHe will dry slowly for a couple of weeks before being jarred. I am very curious to try this once it's dried.
So, I had 2 plants, one I let grow indoors and one outdoors. The plant indoors was a bit squeezed in between 4 larger coco plants. Sadly, I always watered them together and when the outdoor girl was dry. In hindsight I realise that the indoor plant got dry sooner, and consequently got stressed from getting too dry roots. Anyway, the end result from both are great. I am surprised at how well the top dressing nutrients worked, and how easy it was to maintain the plants. Good stuff from Green House Feeding.
