Having tasted the lower parts (popcorn) of Grinspoon, I look forward to the end of next week. The first sample of bud-twigs was interesting and I already want to continue, only after normal drying.
If not touched, there is no smell. If the comfort zone is violated, it gives out an aggressive smell of classics and citrus peel, as the smell will weaken a little additionally with some sweetness.
There doesn't seem to be much resin, but the stickiness index is clearly at a height, some shoots are dried directly on the bush due to lack of light.
The last examination of the trichome showed the results that can be seen in the photo. As they say, what has grown has grown, now it's just maturing.
And these skinny buds are beautiful in their own way.
A couple of shoots are burned by a lamp - not always "the more light the better", the first time it turned out so much. Albino buds are another "achievement" in the collection.
Finally reached the finish line - next time wait for the harvest report.
Somehow I can't believe that he is already so close...
@Ferenc, thx bro ✊
Yes, it turns out quite intriguing. Especially when you do not know the habits of the plant (there is a theory, but it is difficult to understand without practice).
Now the stress training is over (for now), so the main period of active vegetation will begin at the flowering, no matter how ridiculous it may sound
@spyder, Thanks! Scrog in 40x40 differs little in efficiency from LST (there is little horizontal space). So I'm going to make a MainLining of 8 shoots.
@sativaman, Bro, in fact, the functionality of the diaries does not reflect my real feeding. Depending on the appetite of the plant, I try to adhere to the principle "the incoming solution should be 200 ppm more than the outgoing one."
It doesn't always work out, but I try to maneuver
Geiler Typ! Sieht spaßig aus, mein Zelt ist 60x60 und ich überlege auch beim nächsten Durchlauf 1-2 sativas rein zu packen!
Jetzt weiß ich ca, was auf mich zu kommt 😂😂😂
@smalinet,if you can believe the old hippys there is something to it a high that does not exist anymore because of all the hybrids nowadays.I will definitely start slowly first indica I have to say I'm a fan of indica but I also like this giggly happy high and that's exactly what these long-flowering Haze/Sativas can offer you
@smalinet,
i never grew greenspoon myself but im tracking this plant online since it came out all those years ago...what is so special about it that people are willing to put work into this weirdo? is high exceptional? taste perhaps? let me kno ;)
@GMonk, And you too. It is difficult to say about the taste without proper fermentation. Speaking simply of taste, a friend of mine once brought me some kind of pineapple for a sample, and, oh my God, when I exhaled from the bong, I had a distinct taste of pineapple in my mouth. And until now, I have not yet met a strain with such a strong aftertaste. So you can pay attention to this genetics
@smalinet, i understand you perfectly. Like ur hunting for the effect that will suit u the most, im hunting for taste. Where I'm from, cannabis was always produced fast with no respect for harvest & processing due to this stuff being illegal. Cut it down, dry it quickly, stuff it in bags and hide. Ive seen countless extremely good phenotypes that were almost always ruinded by this. :/ So now that I finally have a chance to grow for myself, im all about taste. I hope youll get what you want from Greenspoon. Good luck & happy, warm and productive new year ;)
@GMonk, An interesting question. I have always believed that as many growers as there are opinions, so I will say what guided me specifically myself.
I have always been a fan of indica, or hybrids (and the experience is not so great, about 2 years of constant cycles). Therefore, after reading about the sativa effect, it intrigued me. Of course, many aspects of the impact are unique for different users, but indica has always caught me in the trap of laziness. And if in the evening I am only glad of this effect, then starting my day with a powerful indica (Rock machine pleased me from autoflowering plants, Critical Kush is my favorite so far) it could be finished right away. I split a pack of seeds in half with a friend, and his Grinspoon grew in a 2.5x2.5 awning under 360 W LED without stress and finished his journey earlier, so I can now say based on the effect of his buds.
I will say right away that this plant requires good fermentation, since while the buds are fresh, chlorophyll gives some heavy head effect. After the elimination of chlorophyll at least 2-3 weeks after harvest, it is already possible to evaluate much better (although personally, in my opinion, the minimum threshold for good fermentation is a month, 3 is ideal). The effect is really very unusual, there are no problems with coordination, laziness, while there is a feeling of impact, and strong. It was as if I had returned to the time when one joint per month was already a property :D Euphoria, thoughts, conversation - everything is fine under this representative of the cannabis genus. I was very surprised by the duration of the effect, really 3-4 hours of euphoria and mood improvement without a heavy head after the end of the effect. Because of this unusual effect, it also performed well in the mix with other varieties. It turns out just a "killing" effect in all respects. No matter how strong the indica is, in conjunction with Grinspoon, the effect is only on the body, and Grinspoon accelerates the brain and leaves a very unusual feeling. Also, for me personally, it was a challenge and a really interesting experience. Whatever the harvest, I was just pleased to observe this plant. Once I was guided only by the desire for more and more harvest, now there is no such goal, but there is a desire to try new things, so no matter how long the cycle takes, in any case, it has already succeeded for me. And the harvest will be just the quintessence of the whole process.
So it's worth trying or not - it all depends on your goal and preferences. As I harvest from my Grinspoon, there will be another addition (I do not doubt the methods of a friend, but everyone determines the ripeness for themselves)
@sativaman, Mainlining did not show itself at its best in my space, but it was an experiment.
Next, I will grow only by LST methods and can be fluxing.
No, it's still in the growth stage. I expect ovaries in about a week, since the transfer to flowering was still in infancy, which means 2 weeks of active vegetation and 2 weeks for pre-flowering.
The light is really close to completely eliminate excessive stretching. It works at full power and, in fact, my camera just doesn't do a very good job of adjusting the light balance.
Thank you for the parting words, I appreciate it 🙏
@smalinet, mainlining with 8 was ambitious at it's best with this strain! I have red a few diaries yet and this is the plant that grows forever! Anyway she looks happy, crowded but happy! From what I see in pics, she is close to show pre-flowers maybe you are seeing them already.. still major stretch to come!! You seems to know what you are doing your light is close and low... Best of Luck and have fun!
@sativaman, you are absolutely right, my friend! Only when I started growing this monster, I realized how difficult my plan really is to execute.
But this is my first photoperiodic variety and I decided to embody my desires and skills in it . I have never tried sativa in my life and have not even seen it live, since all my friends are afraid of such long flowering periods.
Given these circumstances, as they say, just do it!
@power88, ¡Gracias!
