Northern Lights Autoflower (Seedsman)
All four seeds have popped and are now planted in coco with worm castings. Definitely should have planted a couple days ago hopefully they all make it!
3 out of 4 seedlings are looking healthy! Unfortunately one looks like its not going to make it but we will see what happens by next week.
Soil consists of;
-3 parts coco
-1 part earthworm castings
-Perlite added for aeration
Will be adding some Botanicare Pro Grow liquid fertilizer next week after the seedlings are out of the danger zone.
Plants are looking good! Getting ready to transplant them into their veg pots after about another week. Some white spot discoloration is appearing but I am not sure what that indicates. If anybody knows what is causing it please let me know.
All three small plants have been transplanted into two gallon fabric pots. They look good!
Excited to see how they react to the new mixture I am trying;
-Coco Coir
-Worm Castings
-Happy Frog All Purpose Organic slow release
-Mycorrhizae
I ended up losing the fourth seedling.
Plant are looking good overall! It looks like they are starting to tap into the organic slow release fertilizer.
I accidently bumped into one of the plants while reaching across the tent and damaged the stem, I ended up having to chop off the top. O well just a bit of an early topping.
Pistils are starting to shoot out of these ladies.
It would of been nice to get another week of veg in but I have some healthy mini plants.
One of the phenos is super bushy so I did some light defoliation and tied back the tops.
Plants are looking nice and healthy!
Tied back all the plants to open up the middle a little bit and did some very light defoliation.
They have plenty of nutrients to last the next 3-4 weeks and then I will add the final top dressing.
I also got a new fan and changed up the tent, now i have a fan pumping into the tent and one pumping air out the top. It seems to be working fairly well and i think there is negative pressure in the tent.
Plant are look great overall.
#2 is showing brown spotting on the leaves that I believe is a calcium deficiency and a few fungus gnats are starting to appear. So I am going to try something new out.
Neem oil/aloe vera/cal mag mix for a foliar spray applied once a week. At least for this week and the next before the buds really start forming. I would do this from the beginning in the future.
Once a every 3 weeks oil with neem oil mixed in.
Once a week water with aloe vera/cal mag nutrient mixture.
Plants are looking good! Im adding cal-mag and aloe vera to every other watering.
#2 is showing late stage calcium deficiency but the other two seem fine.
Also did some light defoliation.
Light defoliation.
I am doubling the amount of water per watering because Im about to leave for vacation.
Overall plants are looking good! Although they never really seemed to recover from lack of calcium, lesson learned when growing in coco, always add some extra calcium, magnesium, and iron with one watering per week. Neem Oil should be added to the watering once every three weeks to prevent pest problems. Foliar spray is also great during veg but would only compromise the buds during flowering.
Plants are starting to use up the last of their nutrients. #2 is fading much faster then the others.
#2 will most likely finish a week or two before the others and they are on the home stretch. Smell is intense.
I will most likely cut down #2 next week, and the other two towards the end of November. Today is 11/11/21
Fungus gnats starting coming back in #1 while I was on vacation so I gave all the plants a watering with neem oil.
Plant #2 finished first (very faded) and she is harvested. The other two look like they will need around another week or longer.
No flushing necessary on #1 and #3, plants seem to have used up most of the nutrients and are beginning to fade. All is looking well!
Finally all the plants are Harvested and Hanging.
Plant #1 and #3 are looking far better then #2. #2 was much more problematic than the others despite growing much faster in veg stage, and looking strong early on.
#1 and #3 have buds at least twice as big as #2. Excited to test them out as they are looking promising.
She was a temperental girl. They all turned out great but I had to keep a close eye on them. Plant #1 is the best, then plant #3, plant #2 is okay I may have dried her a bit too much and she was the most temperamental during the grow.
