I got bored so I started again sooner then expected.
I started with 8 seeds. I just throw them in some 2x2 grodan cubes that I soaked for 30 min at 6.0 PH and a very mild 225ish PPM. Works great every time. 8 of 8 seeds sprouted. Most in 3 days, the rest in 5 days.
I start to lower the humidity, slowly, right away and get them off this crutch of a dome.
Transplanted them into 1 gallon containers on day 7. They were happy for the upgrade.
1 had messed up leaves so I got rid of her. 7 left. Only going to keep 2.
At 14 days the 3rd set of leaves started to show so i'm starting my veg now.
Made the cut. Only the 2 left that I wanted.
Moved them to their final pot at the end of the week.
I'm going with Nectar for the Gods again. It is a bit more work mixing everything up but I cant argue with the results I got using it last run.
They bounced right back from the topping in just a couple hours.
Got some new gear. The last saucer/elevator was too small for a 10 gallon pot. It was making a huge mess when I watered them.
They've come a good ways in a week.
*I think* one has slight PH flux burn on one of them. The other has very minor signs. Its going to take some waterings to get this large amount of pro-mix evened out where I want it
Oh yeah, shit came LOADED with gnats. It happens to me every time but this time is the worst. I put out sticky pads before I ever seen them. They are full of gnats. If I had waited to put out sticky pads till I noticed a problem I would have been in trouble.
Topped them again. 4 tips now.
They looked sad when I first cut em up but they perked right back up after a few hours.
Easy going at this point. Only have to water once a week. Everything is good so far.
Still feeding them lightly. It seems to be working just fine for now.
They'll get topped again tomorrow or the day after for a total or 8 tips.
No problems at this time.... weird.
cut it all again. 8 tips
upped the feeding just a little bit
one plant is lagging behind. I picked it from the better seedlings in the bunch but none of them could hold a candle to how fast this one grew. now that one is getting ahead
cut everything again. 16 tips now.
I was going to take my time with this one. mainline it, scrog it. but plans have changed and I need to move them along.
I switched over to early bloom nutes at the end of this week. I already switched them to 12/12 but thats next weeks.
I wasnt going to scrog it but I wanted to put in the big screens for support. After getting them in I couldnt help myself and it turned into a scrog.
I got that p scrogg a few months ago and have been wanting to use it. It was a little expensive but its made nice and the screens are strong. I could have made something myself but I makerepair shit all day long at work so sometimes its nice to have someone else do it for you
The buds really grew over the week and are coming together nicely on the bigger plant. The other plant just wasnt right. It was small, stretched real bad, and has alot of space between nodes. I'm not expecting much for it.
They seem to be loving the feedings. They are drinking alot more too.
Looking good. Everything is forming up nice. Maybe the smaller one in the back will amount to something after all. Despite being the same age it just seems to be a couple weeks behind in maturity.
Everything is looking good.
Buds are fattening up nice and its starting to stink good.
Bumped up the ppm just slightly. Added tritons trawl so i'm using the entire NFTG line now. The extra work is worth the results I been getting.
Everything is going well. Buds are fat and dense. Amazing smell. The smaller plant in the back lags behind.
I upped the ppm to 1600 last week. Trying to see how much I can give em without burning the shit out of them. It'll be time soon to dial it back anyways.
Upped the feeding by 100 ppm again. For the first time I noticed the slightest of burns on a few tips. Dialed it back before any real damage could be done. Now I know her limits at this stage, for next time.
This one is turning out to be my best grow so far in the 35 months I been at this.
They smell amazing, look amazing, are heavy, dense, and sticky.
using the late flower feed chart now. this is the last week of giving them any nutes. a couple weeks I dont have to mix shit up, sweet.
I put in a couple UVB lights from california lightworks. First time using them. I could never find a straight answer to if these things are worth it. Some say yes, some say no, others go into long rants of why UVB doesnt help at all. So like with most things I just gotta find out for myself.
I raised my lights and got the par around 400 to simulate shade for these last couple weeks. I added the UVB's. It says 2hr a day from 3ft above canopy. I started with 30 min a day for 2 days. All good. Bumped it up to 1 hr for a few days. Still good, no signs of ill effects. And today I raised the time to 2 hr.
Just after a 6 days I can tell a difference in the amount of frost on my buds. Check the pic. Did not take long and I cant wait to see these buds at finish. I can see with my own eyes that these UVB lights help.
For now on UVB's will be apart of my finishing routine.
