TheBudWhisperer Had to split this diary just to keep track of this one now that weโll be flowering em to the end. New dutch bucket recirc system took a minute to put together but now that sheโs purring, the grow is practically on auto pilot๐ค. First run of clones got decimated by aphids that came in with the strawberry cuts. Second run of cuts was taken from the mothers when six (yes 6) weeks into flower. Honestly - 90% success rate on rooting is pretty damn good. I thank the homemade aerocloner. Sheโs been very reliable.
As a result of such a late reveg. Theyโve had a hell of a time figuring themselves out and are just total mutants.
Alls good - probably another couple weeks to launchโฆ errrr, re-launch of flower. Special shoutout to Druid nutrients for providing the go-juice. Canโt wait to see the results๐.
Background
This ones tied to part 2 of the pollen chuck. They were supposed to be a clone run for pollination but the mothers all revegโd due to a timer incident and high stupidity. These will be the inaugural flowering run of the revamped dutchy system. Growing made easy๐. Shit ton of finagling and setup but once sheโs ready - sit back, relax and watch em grow๐๐. Thanks for takeโn a look.

TheBudWhisperer Didnโt take long for these ones to root out, especially considering that weโre in flower. A total of 8days and we only lost one๐. All we have to do now is wait until they get some additional reveg. Growth and well transplant to the dutchy system thereafter.

TheBudWhisperer Week 2 of veg. - transplanted pretty late due to vacation away from home. Dutch system all charged up and @druidnutrients doโn itโs thing to keep all the clones happy. Now itโs all waiting for these girls to straighten themselves out so we can launch flowerโฆ. Againโฆ. We should at least be able to adapt and roll with a couple of issues we noticed during the mother grow that should offset any more unexpected events๐.
The system is officially leak free which is nice to see and the arrangement fits like a glove within the cabinet. Only thing we really didnโt leave any room for was space for a scrog net on the table. This could prove troublesome in the future depending on how big they need to get to show veg. Maturity. Weโll see what happens ๐ค.

TheBudWhisperer Week 3 of the reveg. And theyre all now firmly trying to regrow - some a lot faster than others. The white widow amd northern lights are well ahead of the curve. Had to trim the top branch on the widow just to slow er down a bit so the others can catch up. A couple of em are lagging but is what it is. Weโll probably start some training in a few days once the side branching on each gets some more legs.
Itโs really funny to watch em grow. Itโs kinda like watching a plant develop in reverse.
We really werenโt expecting to have the same strains on the grow for this long so itโs nice to finally be back in recirc hydro where maintenance is much much easier. All is extremely well this time around and letโs just hope there arenโt any more stupid hiccups๐.

TheBudWhisperer Week 4 of the reveg. And weโre almost there๐. We could flip half the plants to flower now but the others are gonna need another week, maybe 2 before theyโre ready. This weeks mostly been about choppโn out the old buds at the base of the stems and spreading branches. About half of em are still workn on branching while the other half has shown vegetative maturity and remain ready for flower at any time. Kinda predictable - the white widow is again, on beast mode next to the others. Northern lights and SOG Lookn good too. Blueberrys got a little more work to do and the boogie nights still needs to find its way as well. Other than that - the system is still purrโn like a kitten and the plants seem to be loving the Berkana nutes. Hopefully not much longer n the veg. Cycle so that we can finally bring these strains to a full flower close.๐

TheBudWhisperer Week 5 of the reveg. And no more than 1 week left to launch!๐. Theyโve all taken off over the last week with the boogie nights finally bursting into mature veg. Same goes for the Blueberry which has been the slowest to date. Theyโll need the rest of the week for sure.
Funny thing is that itโs starting to look like this reveg. Run was unnecessary. The mothers have recovered from the light cycle disaster and are now looking like budding winners once more. Iโm too far in to this run to pull the plug now which is frustrating. Weโre anxious to get into a few reg. Seeds next cycle for another pollen collection so this has slowed the sched. Considerably. Despite such itโs been a great test for the dutchy system and our new nute line from Druid Nutrients.
I donโt shout out shit unless itโs truly doing something good and Druid is proving a remarkable component. No issues or deficiencies. Even with one particular strain (the Skywalker) where a calmag def. was expected to be a certainty. U folks keep up the good work๐.
Not long now yโall - think weโre gonna have some more untameable monsters๐ค๐ค๐ค๐.

TheBudWhisperer 6th week of veg. Is finally in the books and all systems are go for the flower show. As theyโre revegged clones, their branching structure is just ridiculous. Sucker branches everywhere pulling nutrient flow away from the winners. Right before we flipped and as per videos - we gutted every single plant and crushed it down to no more than about 7 tops max per plant. The whole goal is only to flower select, top shelf bud with every opportunity (and space) to grow to its fullest potential. So far, Druid nutrients has fit the bill for every one of em and theyโre all extremely happy on this system๐.
We also couldnโt resist and snipped another run of clones off each one but the Skywalker. Not sure if the boogie nights or blueberrys will make it but u never really know do you๐คท. That said, the diy aerocloner has been a beast for us and minus an aphid issue last round - she puts out a 100% success rate๐.
Weโll use the best of these as complimentary to reg. Run of some spicy bitch weโve got coming up. Even if the pollen chuck is a failure - we wonโt be losing any of the elite white widow or blueberry genetics๐ค๐ค๐ค๐ค. Other than that - itโs all waitโn on the buds now๐๐๐. Until next week.

TheBudWhisperer Week 1 of the flower/transition is in the books and so far, so good. After chopping out all but the best branches from each plant we flipped the light cycle and dropped some more clones in to the aerocloner. I am so done with this run of genetics but still canโt deny quality cuts when theyโre available. Again, if there was a run to test out this new system with itโs definitely this one. Weโve been plagued by calmag, nute burn, nute def. across all of em at some point over the last 8 months. But since incorporating the Druid nutes - all of Em have been perfect๐. This should be a prefect opportunity to see exactly what kind of buds each of these strains throws out๐.

TheBudWhisperer Through 2 weeks of transition and everything is running on straight auto pilot. Itโs been more smooth than expected to be honest. Flowering on these revegโd clones has enagaged faster and our res. Top offs are about 10L every 3-4 days. Gave the res a full empty and clean + changed out the pre-filters. A lot less grungy than the last run with a different nute brand too.
Gotta keep sayโn it - Druid nutrients has an amazingly simple component in their Berkana base nute and Iโm incredibly impressed that this hasnโt yet required any real modification in terms of solutions ratios. These guys arenโt too well known on GD but I assure you they will be making serious waves with this product in short order (no - I wasnโt paid to say this ๐คฃ). Alls well and as long as we have no unexpected screw ups, weโll get to see the true glory of all these strains in very short order๐. Thanks for tuneโn in and Iโll throw up a quick vid next week when weโre on to full bloom๐.

TheBudWhisperer Week 3 of the stretch is in the books and as with last week - smooth sailโn. We defoliated extremely heavy at the end of the week to try and turn out the overall final structure of each plant - 3/4 mains and only the best of the top shelf bud will be spared on this run. Still dealing with WPM issues on the NL but the environment is regulating big time now that we have the heat on in the house. A full 20% drop in RH should do wonders to combat the WPM.
My patience has been tested having to run these plants again after the last cycle but Iโm glad I did. Too many good strains in here not to make sure we got the grow right this time. The dutchy system and Druid Nutrients will go a long way to that end to. It a like the system and the nutes were made for each other to be honest๐ค. Alls good this week - looking forward to some big time bud stacks so we can finally start taking the pretty photos ๐. Until next week๐.

TheBudWhisperer Weโll, weโre through the stretch and the girls still pushed out that little bit more on top of it too. Weโre dangerously close to the light now but Iโve gotten away with this before. The structure is still airy and light which is a very good thing. Despite regulated RH (which I now think mightโve also been related to too much volume in the res๐คท?) the WPM has persisted on the northern lights and shown a touch on our best blueberry and the boogie nights as well.
Been treating and defoliating where absolutely necessary and itโs keeping these stalks much thinner than I prefer. But again, yield isnโt the goal here but rather, perfectly harvested buds to make up for the last round.
The nutrient system by Druid Berkana continues to impress and all systems are leak free and purring like kittens. Sheโs on auto pilot and I quite like only having to pluck a leaf here or spray some h2o2 there. Itโs mellow and chill in terms of maintenance. If only I didnโt have all my other shit on the go constantly it would be a dream come true ๐.
Either way - shits been great and the buds are really stacking in now. Two weeks from now we should have some real sweet photos as they mature the way they were meant to๐. Til next weekโ๏ธ,

TheBudWhisperer Through 5 weeks of flower now and update as follows:
The good - bud development is on pace and theyโre all really taking shape and entering maturity. The smell has kicked up substantially as well๐. Lil a bit of individualized calmag def. On the NL which is real strange. Wondering if it might be a transport issue with the plant. All other systems doing what they should๐.
The bad - keeping up with the WPM. Really limits what foliage we can leave on at times and it advances like crazy. Treating it every day now with a 25%-30% ratio of H2O2 and that helps. Just means a bud wash in the end which is still a real pain in the ass. We were gonna keep these real light and airy anyways but still - I donโt like being forced to it by this bullshit either. Meh - weโre in the middle of upgrading the vent fan size to pull a little more anyway, so that should help dramatically. Weโll see.
The ugly - there is noneโฆ. But the grow ainโt over yet๐ฌ๐ค. Until next weekโ๏ธ

TheBudWhisperer End of week six of flower and things are moving as expected although the WPM is taking a toll on their resources. Iโm also moving to a phโd water only on the next top off as theres a little hint of burn across all of em. Inconsequential with the WPM issue though. We moved to a sodium bicarbonate solution as a foliar in lieu of the h2o2. The peroxide helped but I do wonder if it impacts yield due to the harshness factor. Itโs all mitigation at this point regardless. Donโt expect a huge impact and again - goal isnโt yield so weโre rollโn wit it. Itโs was worth the effort - juuuust now starting to see some colour coming off the blueberry. The way it was meant to be for that full fade๐ค๐.

TheBudWhisperer Week 7 of flower and a couple of notable developments following the last update. The WPM issue of course remains but, after only 2 treatments with the sodium bicarbonate the plants have really responded well. That aside, we are seeing some early and potentially progressive signs of nute burn. Weโve topped off the res. Twice with just plain water but history suggests that you gotta be real careful with this to avoid having the opposite problem as well. Closely monitoring for signs of other issues as were really close to the finish now and do not wanna fuck this upโฆ erโฆ again ๐ฌ.
The colours are starting to show nicely on em now too which is making Id on the burn a little more difficult to discern. Canโt wait to get this one done and finished so we can move on to the next adventure. Based on bud development, we should have no issues with cross-pollination as the males in the other tent continue to mature. About 2 weeks there so should be safely at the finish with these girls by then.๐ค. Alls well in paradise yall๐๐๐.

TheBudWhisperer Through a full 8 weeks of flower and everything is rounding out very nicely. Not getting the colours weโre hoping for quite as much yet and trich development is pretty much spot on for all of them. Weโll take it another week probably just to get a little more chunk in em where possible. That said; weโre good to chop any time I reckon. They have ripened considerably over the last week and as expected we have some dense, hard, top quality nugs grown to full perfection๐.
Only exception is that One of our blueberryโs just up and died in the last 24hours. No idea why or how and we got real lucky that she was juuuuust ripe enough to chop anyway. Surely enough, when I broke down the bucket I found that the drip emitter was clogged with a huge piece of root sludge and the pot was bone dry. So she starved to death essentially. It shouldnโt of even been possible for the root pieces/sludge to make it past 2 pre-filters and through the pump but it managed to find a way๐.
Again, super lucky she was still good to chop. Due to the limited sizes on this grow weโre hand trimming on stem for a longer dry and better terp. Profile. We then sprayed down each stem/bud with sodium bicarbonate to kill off any lingering WPM and rinsed well under tap water. Canโt wait to sample any differences between these and the mothers from the previous run.
Itโs been such a great test run for the Druid Nutrient system and I dare say itโll be a sad day when we run out of go-juice. Itโs so good I may actually have to use actual money and buy more๐.
We originally set out to create a prototype system that would grow small batch runs of multiple strains with a focus on bud quality and maximum strain diversity. Mission fully accomplished here๐๐๐. Given our current stash - weโll run the next fem cycle on this system for similar results.
All is extremely well this week and hope the same for all๐ค.

TheBudWhisperer Finishing out at a full 9 weeks of flower for the rest of this cycle. All of em are at various stages of doneness and now nothing left to do but chop em up and see what we got. It was a generally flawless run, save issues with WPM, a bit of nute burn on the northern lights and one leaky pot. The seals cracked on all of em again and weโll mod the outlets to uniseals next run and see if that is the final missing piece to this hydroponics puzzle๐. The 5ml/L baking soda solution did wonders to keep the WPM in check and itโs also a much cheaper option than h2o2. Weโll draw about 1/2oz per plant when alls said and done - pretty much exactly what we were trying for with this grow of clones. Nothing but top shelf, rock hard bud๐ค๐. Really happy to get these strains dialed in. The nutrient system was nothing short of phenomenal too. We couldโve jumped on the nute burn issue with the NL a little earlier but for a first run of this one component system, this is a fantastic result regardless. Proof that you can get a hydro run to scale on a recirculating system that accommodates multiple strains (with the right nute system)๐คฉ๐คฉ๐คฉ.
As much as Iโm dying to give the whole thing a go with straight fem seeds thatโll have to wait a couple months. Weโve got bigger fish to fry and a new cross to start drilling down on. The layover may be short lived if we end up with multiple fem cuts on that grow. Weโll see what happens. Harvest details will follow shortly and until the next one - thanks to everyone who stopped in for a look๐.
Great plants and a great all around strain. She grows squat and yields are comparatively medium to the rest I would say. We chopped one at 8 weeks and the other at 9 and will be jarring them up to cure separately just to get a sense of any potency differences. The mother has proven successful and the effects are typical of an indica leaning hybrid. Mellow, body and head buzzes with minimal couchlock after effects. A good all around indica for any time of day in my opinion. Buds are smaller as expected for a reveged clone but, rock hard and covered in trichs. We washed the whole lot in a baking soda solution and ran em under the tap for a final rinse. Theyโll remain on about a 5 day dry on stem until jarring. Nice to finally have this run out of the way.๐๐
Iโll skip the overview on this one as most of that is under the blueberry harvest. Aside from a constant battle with WPM and a slight nute burn issue that didnโt make it to the buds - these plants grew out great. Surprisingly they yielded out quite a bit more than the others (save the white widow which was a beast) and the bud structure and density is fantastic. The effects are also very very strong for this foundational type of strain. NL is traditionally 17% or so but, this particular plant hits like a 10 pound hammer across both the head and the body at onset. It comes down within an hour or so and levels out to a very narcotic type of couchlock. Great movie strain๐๐คฉ.
For a clone run, this strain also presented as surprise and yielded much better than anticipated. Just goes to show how a little problem during flower can have huge impacts on the final product at harvest (talking about this oneโs mom). Sheโs notoriously thin stemmed and generally wonโt support bud weight in late flower without help. This one literally fell right over without the other plants for support. Not a bad strain at all. Indica leaning if I had to place it but generally a good day time option which goes against its namesake lol.
They both came down and both are about as expected without any of the pretty colours we wouldโve hoped for. Theyโll yield our smallest amount but again - always tough to benchmark with a clone alone, let alone a reveged one. Either way - they held up extremely well against the WPM and weโre probably the most reliably stable of the cycle the whole way through. Tried, tested and proven indica effects too๐.
They were the strongest producers of all the clones based on their size and final output. Great plant and itโll be sad to see this one reach itโs end. Excellent growth all around for every cutting and these were really the only ones that showed any real colour throughout the cycle. Gonna guesss about 2oz total once alls said and done.๐
Pressed LIKE for the accurate and appropriate contextual use of the world "finagling." HEHEHE! Not that you need it... But good luck on this chucking! :)
Hey! Happy growing my friend! I hope you do well and get some good results! I will come by sometime to see your progress!
If you ever visit my page please say hello!

@Hazemaster420, depends on ur definition of โflushโ! Lol. Thatโs a divergent topic of discussion amongst most folks and my thoughts donโt tend to parallel the general consensusโบ๏ธ.
