Germination

Starting my first grow using green crack auto seeds from seedsman. Started off in biobizz light soil in small wood pulp pots then moved to 20/25L breathable pots. Seeds were germinated in the dark and probably left there for too long, unfortunately so seemed a bit lanky. One seed didn't germinate so planted an extra seed. The other plants in the tent are chillies which didn't fruit over summer :)

Added straw mulch to pots to better regulate root temperature as I thought the air temp was a bit high. Got a fan in the tent but tend to leave the top of the door unzipped to allow hot air to escape. Good growth from first three plants, fourth plant has now germinated. The other plants in the tent are chillies which didn't fruit over summer :)

Decent growth and plants looking pretty good I think. Slight discolouration on the leaves of one of the plants but not sure what this is. Moved the lamp to 80cm from tops rather than 105cm previously. Started nutrient schedule on 9/9/21 with half the recommended amounts - water pH was 6.7

Good growth on all the plants. Following BioBizz nutrient schedule at full strength now. Plants 1, 2 and 3 are looking great, with plant 4 still a seedling. Not sure if the plants are a little on the short side though? Unsure if the light is at an appropriate distance.

Keeping the nutrient schedule the same as per BioBizz website. I have added a slow-release CO2 dispenser to try and increase yields. Plants are growing incredibly quick, I guess this is why its called weed 🤣 As this is my first grow, I don't plan on using any growing techniques just to keep it nice and simple. I have however been tucking leaves underneath where the flowers are forming. Going well so far!

Good growth over week 5. Been upping the water I've been giving them to about 0.5 per 24-hour window. Nutrients have been upped according to the BioBizz nutrient schedule on their website. Plant 1 is now 69cm tall (lol). Been tucking some of the fan leaves to ensure light is reaching the buds, however haven't done much in the way of pruning. Ive only been taking off the leaves which are turning discoloured so to not stress the plants too much.

I pruned the bottom leaves this week to increase airflow and to concentrate more energy towards the buds. Still need to learn how and when to prune for best results but plants seem to have responded well. Still following BioBizz nutrient schedule but doubled the volume of Top Max, a phosphorus-containing fertiliser to increase bud production. Good growth and looking healthy. Turns out simmering the leaves in bone broth gives a nice buzz 🤣

No change in height of the plants. Buds forming nicely. I've pruned off the bottom buds which were forming but I'm not sure if they need any further pruning to encourage better bud growth. Any advice would be much appreciated!

I agree with SmokanaganSeeds I wouldn't cause any extra stress at this point. Some do defoliate later but auto's are easily stressed and it cold slow production. It can also increase production putting more nutrients to buds so it's a win or lose kinda thing. But ultimately the decision is yours and regardless of your choice she will drive on. Best of luck and Happy Growing!😎🌱💚💪💪

I'd likely just let her ride at this point, but you could still get away with it, tho I tend to avoid stressing the plant after week 3. Tho I know some will still do some training and defoliation up to week 5

ScrOG net arrived so loosely placed over to try space out the colas. Not much growth in height of the plants but buds seem to be forming nicely. Realised I've been using too much fertiliser according to the BioBizz schedule (using full quantities of activera, fish mix and algamic, rather than lower quantities of each when using all three) but kept it the same as plants seem to be doing well. Very excited!

(When) should I defoliate my smallest plant (4)? He started a week or so later than the others but is much smaller as was started in a smaller pot. Thanks

I would lst those branches then see if she needs any defoliating from there. I feel like you will lose weight in the long run if you don't lst

I would pull the side branches out a little with some Lst and not defoliate yet.

Hey! Why make defoliation to such a baby? Defoliation is usually used for large bushes or with certain training. This plant needs water and light! Good luck to you)

Good growth and bud formation coming along. Following BioBizz nutrient schedule. Slightly worried about the yellow leaves but been told its the plant redirecting energy towards bud formation. Cant wait to harvest! Bought an automatic co2 dispenser which releases co2 every 60 mins and monitoring co2 levels, sits around 1300 ppm

No fertilising done this week. Going to give plants a few more days to ensure all fertilisers are flushed out of the plants for a smoother smoke. Looking forward to harvesting my babies and drying/curing them!

Hello it lloks like your plants will be ready soon but it only way to know it is to use a magnifier to see if your trichomes are milky and 10 % amber. If it is the case you can begin your flush then harvest. Good luck. Bye

You might have 2-3 weeks left , you can probably start your flush quite soon, but the only way to know is the trichomes growmie, you're alright though! ! 🚀

Looks like you are still bulking. I grew the green crack from seedsman. And had a amazing harvest from it. It's best to go off trichromes, and ripeness to determine best time to harvest etc. Plants don't grow off charts or schedules. Good luck and happy growing 🌱

Ciao amico, ottimo lavoro ma mi stavo chiedendo uno cosa.. Con una pianta di peperoncini nel box non c'è il rischio di portare dentro insetti nocivi per la pianta? E come mai hai utilizzato la paglia?
alexgrowsweed

@Mr_Cannuccia19, yeah they couldve bought pests i suppose but there weren't any problems. Straw was to regulate the soil temperature and moisture

Great looking plants. That net seems like it would be a pain in the a . I think you might have done better with some LST , and at least you could move them around if need be. Anyhow great job on your first grow. Soon you will be enjoying the fruits of your labor. 🥦🥦👍
