Hi guys :D Welcome to S03 of Buds - Growing experience! This season I'll cultivate a strain selection for a few contests and some sponsored grows. I'm very pleased to announce that Sweet Seeds and Zamnesia gave me the opportunity to partially sponsor this grow season by supplying me wiht their strains of my choice. For my hydro setup I'll be using the Green House Feeding Nutrient Starter Kit which I've got for participating in their contest (+Dark Phoenix). I still need to read into how much nutrients I'll need for this season since I'll run only automatic strains with the exception of Dark Phoenix which will be in the same reservoir as 2 other automatic strains. I'll also do something a bit different this time, because I'll also grow one strain in a RQS fabric pot and soil, which I never did before. For the first time I'll also be using the PLANT SUCCESS ORCA LIQUID MYCORRHIZAE after reading a lot of positive things about the fungi and the product. I've also learned a lot from my last grow season which ended in 2 plants dying off because of bacteria in my reservoirs and both res' were cleaned with hospital grade chemicals to remove 99.9% of all bacteria in both reservoirs before the start of this season. Let's hope for the best and I hope that I'll have a lot of fun doing it :) XOXO Cremo

Hi guys! This past week was a bit strange. I need to learn more about the GHF nutrients because I gave my plants 1/8 (for automatics) of the amount for the first/second week and after 2 days my plants went almost all pale, so that was definitely a deficiency. Then I added quite a bit more of these nutrients and I think I overdid it but the plants came back to color again (70-80%ish) so that's a good sign. To lower the 700ppm value I added around 20L of water, it's around 500 now. This should make it easier for the plants to jump back. I'll keep an eye on them, if the plants won't show signs of recovery, I'll remove half the water and add some more plain water to drive the ppm down even further. Stay tuned guys XOXO Cremo

Hi guys. The Dark Phoenix isn't happy. 3rd week of veg PH: 5.8 (on point) TDS: 500ppm Green House Feeding nutrients 50L reservoir Orca Mycorrhizae The overall color is on the light green side rather than normal/darker green. The leaves started twisting heavily. Any advice? Thx

Autos take less feed than photo period plants. They start feeding at 200 ppm 0.4 ec and work your way up by 100 ppm 0.2 ec every week if your seeing good growth and the limit for most autos would be 600 ppm 1.2 ec in water, soiless, cocoa or peat grows. Go back to 300 or 400 ppm until you see some recover then work your way back to 600 ppm the way I explained.

Hi guys, Okay, so this is a tricky one :D It's the only fem in the fam this season and even tho I give plants half the amount of the nutrients, the Dark Phoenix seems to not like it at all. I don't get it but I'll try to reduce the amount of nutrients for this particular reservoir. It looses its colors and they appear to be more and more pale. The orca myco works its wonders. The root system stretches every single day significantly which should pretty soon transfer more nutrients to the upper part of the plant. Can't stop looking at the beautiful white roots :D Stay tuned guys. Much love! XOXO Cremo

Hi guys, I'm a few days behind with the update but here it finally is :D Before I started working on them over the week, I switched the top around to be able to introduce all 70L of water. I've also decided to replace some plants so the bigger plants have more space to grow near the smallest ones. So here is the Dark Phoenix, the only feminized plant in a pool full of automatic strains. I've had a small issue with the amount of nutrients this plant can absorb and it wasn't as happy as all the other ones. So I diluted the nutrients and it seems to fix the problem. Now I've also introduced Cal-Mag to the mix and 2 days later the foliage exploded on all plants. I'm really happy with it. It still needs a tad bit more attention than all the other ones but It's getting there. I want to let this plant veg for the whole Automatic season which means around 12 weeks which should make it really big at the end. The Dark Phoenix was also topped a few days ago, it recovered like a champ. Since it's a feminized seed with a long veg time, I'll top it several times to make it as huge as possible at the end :) I've also defoliated it a bit before I started tying it down. That's all for now. See you soon guys! Much love XOXO Cremo

Sooo, I honestly can't say too much about the plant right now. It's the only feminized one in a sea of Automatics. It shares the same res as other 2 Automatic strains. It has some issues with the feeding but I need to adjust to the majority not the minority, it is what it is! But if it survives, it'll have at least 10-12 weeks of veg time which will make it huge when I switch to flowering after I harvest all the other 6 plants. I'll make it right this time, I'll try to spread it as wide as possible as a solo project in a 4x4 tent. I can't wait!!! XOXO Cremo

Hi guys, This will be a quick update. The Dark Phoenix is still holding up well even tho it's in a reservoir with other 2 automatic strains which already switched to flowering. That's why it's fed 50/50 veg and bloom nutes. I left the remaining 40-50L of water (with veg nutes) in the 70L reservoir and added 10L of bloom nutes and 2 days later another 10L with just PH adjusted water because the ppm went up a bit too much. Now the color of the leaves is still light green and I stll don't know why, but I bet that it will get back to normal when it's alone in the reservoir and I switch the lights to 12/12 and I'll be able to regulate all the nutrients to her liking. Right now, it's more important to make the automatics more grow in perfect conditions imo tho. XOXO Cremo

Hi guys, This week I did something special. Something y'all probably gonna argue, but I did it anyway. I defoliated the shiiiiiiit out of every single plant in the tent 😎, a few weeks into blooming. I had the urge to lollipop the plants and start focusing the plants' energy distribution to the main stems and only the biggest forming branches and buds. Only time will tell if it was a good idea, but I took into consideration the fact that I'm running a pretty nice DWC setup and the plants are practically on point every single week. They are looking really good. I also added 30 Liters of water with nutrients, they seem to dig it. The pH and PPM are also on point. They look super happy so the recovery time should be minimal, like less than 24h because of the knowledge from all the other defoliations (not that heavy tho) before this season. So that's it for this week. Please comment on the uber heavy defoliation this week. What's your opinion? I wanna know! XOXO Cremo

Hi guys, here's another update of the Dark Phoenix! The defoliation did an outstanding job on the plant. You can clearly see that this plant is in full Veg mode. I had to defoliate it a day before another shooting session again because it got sooo bushy again! Crazy, and I love it! I have very high hopes for the yield of this one because I'll let it grow in veg for at least 12 weeks :D I really can't say much else that I've been loving this run very much so far. The conditions are on point, the plants are super happy, so am I. Stay healthy! XOXO Cremo

Hi guys, welcome to another quick update of the light green aka Dark Phoenix :P The light green probably comes from the flowering feeding that I'm doing right now for the other 2 auto plants in the same reservoir. I can't do it differently because the auto flowers are a few weeks before harvest, and then I'll switch that thing into 12/12 light schedule! It's already big and the defoliations are making it grow even bigger and stronger. And all this before the flowering stretch, waaaaaaaaat :D:D:D When all the automatics are done, I'll place it in the middle and will stretch it out as much as I can. I'd love to make it produce over 250 at minimum, hopefully I'll be able to surpass 350-400g on this one when it's done! XOXO Cremo

Hi Guys, It's slowly and surely getting a bit out of hand. It's growing so much and it's not even in the flowering stretch because there are still around 3 weeks before I harvest the last automatic plant in this tent, but this was the premise! I always wanted to run this test to see how a photoperiod behaves in the same reservoir with other automatic plants that get blooming nutrients so much earlier than this. And even tho you can't give every plant what they exactly need if you run my setup, but it was (or rather still is) a very helpful lesson to see how a plant in veg behaves while being fed blooming nutrients. Let's hope for the best XOXO Cremo

Hi guys, The Dark Phoenix is getting bigger every week! It's so huge in fact that it has no more space to expand. It still waits to unleash the full potential of the Phoenix but first, all the other trees have to go and a few of them are being chopped down at the moment, so I'm truly happy that I'll be able to start working on the Phoenix and finally switch the light to a 12/12 schedule. I CAN'T WAIT FOR IT!!!! XOXO Cremo

Hi guys! Alright! This is the last veg week for the Dark Phoenix! FINALLY! I'm so happy and terrified about this to be honest. I'm terrified because I'll need to separate the roots of 3 different plants by hand meaning that there will be a lot of damage probably. That's why I'll need to adjust the conditions to as close to perfect as possible to make the plant recover so I can finally switch it to flowering after the other automatic plants are gone! I really hope that it survives the root damage and can thrive to its full potential in flowering. Right now, after harvesting 3 other plants from the second res, I have finally more room so I placed the first 70L res into the middle of the tent for better light exposure. I'll let the last few automatic plants finish in a few days and put a scrog net over the Phoenix to let it spread its wings for the first time ever. I'm also excited because I have some super great news on new collaborations that will bring my setup to another level pretty soon! I won't say nothing for now, but y'all should be surprised :). So happy that flowering for this one is right around the corner!!!!!! CAN'T WAIT!!! XOXO Cremo

Ladies and Gentlemen! This Dark Phoenix update is very special to me! It's special because of several things that will mark this day as my successful move forward in the cannabis space. A few weeks ago I've partnered up with ViparSpectra and with this post, we officially start our collaboration. I read a lot about different LED lights from several companies and I'm very happy that they were kind enough to support me with 3x P2000 LED lights from their PRO Line over the course of our collaboration. And what better use I can make out of them, then putting them over the biggest plant I've ever grown so far :) With this setup I'll put the lights to the test, a flowering test. I've always dreamed about having at least 2 lights setup shining from the sides, which in my humble opinion should make a better way to penetrate this huge plant with a quality light spectrum provided by ViparSpectra. BTW. The overall build quality is top notch! I don't even compare it to the build quality of the MarsHydro TS3000 because it'd be like comparing an old car from a decade ago to a brand new one. The Samsung LEDs are also one of the newest you can get, and the amount of energy it outputs from these 200w surpasses other brands' comparable light in this price segment. Other than that, I'm building out the grow space to be able to grow perpetually in the future, but it'll still take some time before I get a new, bigger tent, and a second hydroponic system (and a lot of other things necessary to get the new setup up and running). With the new grow tent with a separate veg and flowering space, the third light will make it's way to veg room, the flowering space will remain with two P2000 lights which are enough for this grow space. So for now, I will test the potential of 3x 200W P2000 LED lights in my 4x4'' space which is kind of an overkill but considering the sheer size of the Dark Phoenix, I want to give it all the love I can! So please stay tuned, new updates will come shortly, and this huge plant should switch itself in around 2-3 weeks into full on flowering :) Lastly, the root separation from Bruce Banner was hard and it did some collateral damage but I cross my fingers in hopes of a full recovery as soon as possible. Hi guys, welcome to another update of the beast itself, the Dark Phoenix. The first flowering week is behind us, from what I can see the brute root separation didn't stunt the plant that much, but I'm still curious how much of this plants' roots I've really removed and what the effects of it will be at the harvest. Right now, I can't really tell. I defoliated it a bit because it got so bushy that it looks like a huge 1m2 green ball, even tho I lollipopped it weeks before. The official diameter of this plant is 92cm which is just insane for one plant! For now I'll only defoliate it. I adjusted the height due to my nice mount on all 3 lights and also adjusted the intensity on all lights from around 70% gradually over the course of a few days up to a 90%. These knobs are really helpful! I also found out that the lights don't get hot at all but the temperature in and outside of the tent are around 10-15C so it's still pretty cold because it's winter time. We'll see how they perform in the middle of summer. There are still no signs of flowering but I'm not panicking because it might take another week or a bit more. Hopefully the colas on this one will be out of this world due to the new an better P2000 lights from ViparSpectra! I have really high hopes for this one :) See you soon, guys! XOXO Cremo

Hi guys, welcome to another update of this huge plant! The Dark Phoenix adapts to the new lights. It's the start of the third flowering week. There are just a few pistils coming out so I'm happy that the plant successfully switched to flowering with these new light. I'm still figuring out the perfect distance to the new lights because they're the new ViparSpectra lights have more bang for the buck because of newer Samsung LEDs than the previous light I've worked with. Other than that, the Phoenix is so huge that it drinks around 6-7L of water every day. Next week I'll exchange the water completely and clean the res so the huge root system has a fresh pond :D Next week I'll also go all the way up to 100% of the light intensity. Up until now I've worked with 460Watts, this flowering I'll give this huge plant 600W! This should make itself visible in the size of the buds. I hope to catch you guys next week and hopefully in 3-4 weeks I'll be able to give you the greatest trichome marco shots :D So stay tuned! XOXO Cremo

Hi guys! Welcome to another update on the Dark Phoenix. This week has been pretty busy with a few heavy defoliation sessions because even though it has been lollipopped before, it's such a huge plant that the humidity was up to over 60%. There was also way too much foliage which made it impossible for light to penetrate the lower parts of the plant. I made 3 or 4 defoliation sessions and removed way over a kilogram of excess foliage (imo) and brought the humidity down to 35% which is juuuuuust right for this flowering stage. It also got a lot more airy in the lower parts (and actually overall) which will decrease the possibility of mildew. I bet is set back the whole growing process for a few days, maybe a week but I strongly believe that it will be of great benefit when everything is back on track! I'm still in aww every time I look at it. Normally I'd have 4 to 6 plants in this tent, heavily trained to maximize the yield but this experiment is just insane. Even tho there are a few issues that I'm trying to solve (like the twisting of leaves) but the plant looks overall healthy. Soon I shall start shooting macros because the flowers are starting to form :D So stay tuned guys! XOXO Cremo

Hi guys. My Dark Phoenix is in deep shit! It's dying and I don't know why. The ppm is rising (around 1800 now), ph is stable at around 5.7, humidity is 35%. The leaves are looking overall pale and some of them are twisting. I defoliated it quite heavily. Please help!

With your PPM's that high and rising I would say you are over feeding her and what you are seeing is nutrient burn. You want your PPM's to stay stable. If they are rising then your feed is to high and you need to dilute your water. Looks like you recently lowered your humidity from 50% to 30%. When you do this you are causing the plant to transpire more which means she will drink more and by drinking more she is up taking more nutrients. PPM levels should be adjusted to take this into consideration. Plus the huge defoliation would also cause a need for less food as there are less leaves to grow. You said last week you were going to do a water change. Did you do this? when flowering its best to do a water change once a week. Happy growing
