Cleaned out my shed and decided to start growing again after nearly 13 years. Formerly was growing in a custom built basement in the santa cruz mountains until nearby outdoor growers burned down the entire mountain including the new house/grow. I had been saving some seeds for a few years and decided to finally pop them. Started with 6 seeds in a wet paper towel, 2 of them werent viable enough for my liking so I continued with 4. I still have a 5 other seeds that I will pop once Im a couple months into veg on these girls. Plan is to see how these mystery genes work out and take clones from the best girl if viable enough to fill my next run.

Moved the plants from wet towels to seedling trays in the veg closet. Theyre under a 100w led from maxisun. They started to pop cotys after 4 days in the trays. The next few weeks wont have any pics again until week 3 when they get moved to the grow shed.

Babies are sprouting just fine. Leaving them in dome 20 hours of the day. First few weeks dont require much besides a little bit of water every few days. Threw in a pic of some bush beans that are getting outside for the first time. Theyll go in those rows probably next week. Day 12: moved to 7gal fabric pots with Ocean Forest, Compost, Worm castings, 4-4-4 organic fert

Starting to add notes from previous weeks. Right now I'm in week 5 flower but updating this journal as life got in the way! Week 3 7/29 - 8/5 This week saw a lot of change. I finished the shed and moved my equipment in. There's predictions of a heatwave coming the next 2 weeks and the temp in the shed is already high 90s and super low humidity, so I bought a humidifier and a wall AC, cut a hole and framed it in. Nighttime checks showed a few light leaks that were taken care of with some spray foam in the joints. My babies also got moved into their big girl pots where they will live the remainder of their beautiful lives. My kid and I also put in some work on the outside vegetable garden. Since the soil is full of giant rocks, I had to filter those out first. Just a small corner of the bed took a few days to prep the soil, but we finally got it ready and planted. Beans, Cucumbers, Arugula, Cilantro, Lettuce, Broccoli are all going to add some green to this part of the garden. Bonus: My neighbor 2 doors down had a massive rare oak split in 3 straight down the trunk. Each piece landed on a roof, but just barely. Only damage was to some fences. 7/26 Day 12: Moved plants to 7 gallon fabric pots with super soil mix: 1/2 Ocean Forest, 1/4 Worm Castings, 1/4 Compost, Few handfuls of Sphagnum moss, 4-4-4 Fert w/ Myco, Water in w/ light bat guano/recharge mix 8/1 Day 18: One of the plants (#4) was a little overwatered and leaves were curling. Whatever it'll be fine.

Week 4 8/5 - 8/11 This week cooled down a little bit before it hit 90 by the end of week 4. The AC held up well. I did a second topping on the ladies this week. I'll probably end up with 2-3 more toppings to get 16-32 nodes. Some of those will then be further cut to take clones if any of the plants are looking worthy. Feeding is some fish fert, big bloom and bat guano

Week 5 8/12 - 8/17 Added some cinnamon to get rid of fungus gnats as well as covered the soil with perlite. Trained the branches down on the mainlined ladies, getting them ready for another topping next week most likely. Started a few new mystery bagseeds that may get their own diary at another point!

First week of flower. One of these will end up herming out with nanners over a month later. Can you guess which one? Feeding is all organic. Once I'm in flower I switched to dry amendments and compost teas and cut out the big bloom. I will also add silica next week as a one time boost.

Week 2 of flower is going strong. Lots of new growth and the stretch is in full effect...except for one of them... The shed itself seems to have gotten fully setup and is serving the job quite well. Air is coming in through lower passive vents both in the room, and in the entrance "room" which is basically just sealed off with blackout curtains and panda film.

Week 3 Flower Pistils are starting to really pop. 3 of these smell pretty fruity with the 4th smelling like a new basketball mixed with fuel. Strange but intriguing. The shorter one has some strange leaves and nodes. Probably going to herm out so I am keeping an extra close eye on it.

Week 4 of flower 12 years after my last grow, I'm starting to get more comfortable and not wanting to hover around the plants all day. One of these ladies is looking super frosty and I'm thinking about taking a couple clones off her to reveg. Since these are bagseeds I won't have the opportunity to run across this genetic again. I also pulled about 15 reveg clones off the tallest one in week 2 flower. All of them have popped lots of roots and I'm going to need to cull half of them to stay legal!

Week 5 of flower has been interesting. The one I thought that would herm ended up popping some nanners so I plucked them and threw her/him outside to finish off. I'll keep pulling off nanners as I find them but I am now focused on the 3 inside. The frosty one ended up getting even more trichomes so I cut off two branches to reveg and keep her going for next round. I have the other clones from the tall girl that are all really healthy. I'll put some more of them in soil tomorrow and compost the rest. Added some Incredible Bulk and Kelp it Real to the feed this week. Just a light mix to start around 250 PPM

Posterboycommented3 years ago
@olli0420, thanks a ton!! I put my clones in a closet in my office. For the clones that are all rooted, I took them from2nd week o flower off new bud sites that popped up from halfway up the branches. They were completely new growth that appeared when i switched to 12 and i cut them once they were about 5-8 inches long each with some small buds forming and tons of pistils. These were all mainlines and taken from equivalent nodes so each clone has equal growth potential. Cut just below a node, trim the node of any leaves or growth sites. Trim the tips off any leaves. Dip in rooting gel and put in a wet grodan cube. Water in with very light veg nutes (fish fert + kelp) and cover with dome. Keep at 77*/80% until you see lots of roots pop out. Could be weeks or over a month even if taken late flower. They should keep growing and get fuzzy with root branches. This is when u put them in solo cups with your soil mix. I use potting soil (ocean forest if i have on hand) compost, worm castings, perlite for this stage. The moisture/humidity control will be key. At some point a week or two in the leaves on top will start really drying out after being depleted of their nutrients. this is when you may want to give them some more direct feeding. Until then only mist with a spray bottle. You want tht cube to start getting a little bit dry but still moist so that the roots push out and seek water. This will also cause the plant to cannibalize the leaves to feed that root growth. This should all be just perfect as at that time, you should see the bud sites start getting really bright green and lose all their pistils. This means itsready to start pushing out new veg growth. Ill take some pics of a few i have in diff stages of the process and put them on my diary for this week.
