I have used 1000watt hps for years. My first time flowering with LEDs and I did ok except for height of canopy. Next time shorter plants! Plants are stacking nicely and wish I could get another net installed. The genetics are clones of a blueberry cookies I've had for a little while and some clones from friends. One is a headband and the other a kush.
Buds are starting to swell up. Impressed with the LEDs. The canopy however I feel is almost to thick. The light can not penetrate and the lowest growth suffers for it. Heavier defoliation next time. Didn't start out to do a side by side..but the buds under the spider farmer are noticably bigger.
Really impressed with the LEDs! The difference in colors from hps is amazing. Have ran these varieties many times and never seen colors like this! Bud size is comparable and so is resin production. One observation is the size of the glands..under hps they were larger heads. The smaller size under led is made up for in quantity..there is more of them. All are cloudy and some Amber showing. Could be taken any time now.. probably give them a few more days. This is day 58. The blueberry doesn't like going past around 55-56 days..she has thrown out nanners before. Always right at the end so hasn't been an issue. Will be putting them in 2 days of darkness the next couple of days..then chopping! Another run and more lessons learned for this grateful grower!
Really pleased with this run. No issues is a great cycle. Will update with final weights once drying is complete. Hanging now at 60 degrees and 60% humidity. Should be dry in 12-14 days. Overall weight of 31.6 ounces! One of my best outcomes to date. First time with LEDs is a winner in my book!
