Soaked root cubes in nutrient solution of about 120 ppm . Currently in humidity dome under Sunblaster fluorescent light.
Will transfer to DWC netpots/tophats in a few days and put them under the spiderfarmer .
11th of October - transferred to DWC buckets, into a solution of 125ppm of aqua vega.
Put some bottle domes over them to keep em snug and humid .
No sign of roots yet but it should be soon . Lesson learned using the top hats . Should have started in a 2” net pot and transferred once I had danglers.
Looks like BG 2 felt the solution was a bit high. Tiny bit of discolouration on one tip but nothing on new growth.
Now under Spiderfarmer sf -1000.
17/10- Roots showing on both plants .should be touching water by tomorrow.
changed out nutrient solution and set to 150 ppm at ph 5.8
picked up some fulonics to try out . added to BG1 to see if there's much of a difference between growth/nutrient uptake
Up and down week , bit of leaf curling , not sure if the light was a little strong or if humidity is too low but moved light up a bit but not from high temps as it’s pretty cool at most times .
Both are now running with fulonic . Was staining the roots a bit but added some H2o2 and it cleared it right up .
#1 is moving along quicker ,it always seemed to be slightly stronger anyway .
Lost a couple of days of growth this week due to the dreaded slime . decided to put all the experimenting on hold and go back to the bread and butter solution, chopped all slime covered roots, which seemed to make for some new decent lateral root growth .new roots came out thick and fast and seem to be holding up pretty well for now.
started the whole ice bottle routine just to keep it in check until there's a good solid root system. have been giving them a bit of a bending to give the lowers some of that holy light. will be topping or fimming this week to start the shaping .
Glad to see the ppm starting to drop a bit, so bumped it up and hoping on some good growth this week.
Decent enough weeks growth , no more slime and roots are holding up good . Moved them into tent so that’s good news in a humidity sense .
Perfect plant stance after a night so decided to prune a bit as Im going to run with scrog . Hassle with the buckets I know ,but I’m going to buy a transfer pump to live like somewhat of a boss .might make life easier . Plants have been eating all week so bumping accordingly , some rust spots on older growth which I’m
Hoping is only hanging around from the slime / dodgy ph days .
Can ditch the ph up from the lineup as I’m now adding some silica for training and it’s a strong base .
Happy enough with where they are , the increase in humidity gave them a real kick . At the stage where you can nearly watch them grow .
Gonna throw the scrog net in real soon , a week too late but didn’t have much free time .
Constantly eating every day which is good .roots are holding up nicely , no more issues so far .probably another week or 2 and I’ll flip the proverbial switch . Unless I hit a brick wall in the mean time
Finally got the net in a few days ago . They seem to be taking ok to the training , not loving it but not hating either ,
Been trimming and tucking every 2 or 3 days , thinking of maybe filling a square or two more then flipping to flower .
Nutrient levels topped out at about 900, don’t seem to be calling for much more.
Added some green planet Rezin into the mix , claims to prep the plant for flowering in the last two weeks of veg
Light schedule flipped on the 29th so we’ll mark it down as the last week of veg . Plants are happy enough, some of the old leaves are looking heavy on the nitrogen , but new growth is the ideal shade to be hitting flowering with.
Drinking a lot of water so unfortunately they’re simmering in a hot solution for a few hours .
Added some bud igniter from advanced nutrients . Claiming quicker flips . Also added some roots excelurator silver for the first few weeks of flower .
Constantly trimming and tucking and hoping to fill out the net with the stretch. Ended up with a few too many tops so started plucking some so they’re not competing for light and touching .
Let’s hope for healthy flower phase
Good bit of stretch going on with these ones , and may go on for another bit , nodes are starting to shorten down so that’s a good sign . Slow start flowering in comparison to others in the garden .
Looking like a nice shade to be at right now . Banger 2 is the dominant so far but not by much , they’re very similar in phenotype .so it’ll be interesting to see the finished flower , hoping the GG#4 genetics shine through . Will start transitioning to bloom nutes next week with these ones
Constant battle against rising ppms all week during transition. Ended up back down at about 400 But they’ve settled down now and eating again , got a small bit of leaf burn from the ordeal but hoping they’re back on track .
Stretched out a lot but seems like it’s over now
Another busy week with these , dealing with some artic grip so it was a couple of cold nights before a heater was in , on a timer for lights off so all good again .
Looking happy enough with their stance and colour and they’re eating slightly . Reduced a few ppms of base nutes and got the PK13/14 in there . Done with the vertical growth and they’ve got a good few nodes so hoping they fill out nicely 🤞
Decent enough week , seem to be chugging along nicely and fairly forgiving considering the ph swings and rising ppms . Looking forward to seeing these full flower . They’ve been taking their time growing but have long stems with tight nodes after the stretch .
Nice smell and a decent bit of resin forming,
Seems to be more dense on banger1.
Changed up the nutrients altogether this week as the ppms were rising and plants were coming close to deficiency’s . Plants are steadily eating again and starting to flower real nice with good bud structure.
Plenty of resin to go about and covering some fan leaves nicely too .
Will start taking better pics with lights off next week
Good week and really happy with these ones , have been eating and stacking everyday . Really nice formation , cut out the base and added some monster bloom for the final push .
They are finally starting to show different phenotypes after a very similar growth until now . Banger 2 has rounded tops and a couple of inches shorter with faster flowering time .
Banger 1 has a more foxtail type top which looks like its from the headbanger lineage to these .
I’ll get the microscope out next week for a closer look
