Just finished day 14, growing well. Keeping it simple works best at this point. I will be using LST tied down to the side of my pots.

Staying shorter but it’s building a really strong base. It should stretch a lot this next week. So far it’s been a very comfortable grow. This is actually day 21 the end of week 2

Training week, doing some LST and minor defoliation little by little. It’s growing really well. The stem and shoots are all thick and even though it’s short now it should be a really good yielder with LST. It has that sweet plant smell now if you know what I’m talking about… showing the earliest signs of flower. I’m just going to continue to keep this one simple. I’ve included some photos of my other plants this time.

Continued LST this week and did a heavier defoliation pulling all my inner facing fans. The main stem ended up being a super crop. The first node was removed early in this plant and the 2nd and 3rd nodes were also super cropped by twisting them an inch apart in opposite directions (kushmans chiropractic) if you’re not familiar with it there’s a great YT video out. If you zoom in you can see the twist in the stem. I’m pushing this one harder than I typically train an auto and that’s mostly because it seems to like it. It’s back strong within 24 hours. Should be fun, stay tuned. Side note: pics are always posted in order taken throughout the week so you can follow the growth and training.

Been looking forward to sharing this week. I made some changes to the grow room to make it a little more easy to work in, added some new things to make it fun, as well as mounted fans for a new airflow pattern. We’re in flower this week and this girls been unbelievable to train. It’s one of the most resilient autos I’ve ever grown. Autos can be a gamble sometimes. I’ve lollipopped it, LSTed it, and supercropped it, heavily defoliated, it has always been leaves back up within a few hours, and the minty green color of these leaves is beautiful. It is my only time growing fastbuds lemon pie, but if someone is looking for one to train heavy I already feel confident recommending this one. Of course always listen to your plant. The addition of the crates helped me widen the usual tie down coverage I am limited to beyond the pots. I will never not use these crates in a future grow when training. The plant will breathe a lot better all the way through to flower. I have 4 corner air flow and a top fan I recently set up to work much more efficiently as a soft constant breeze mixed with a heavier oscillating gust to mimic the outdoors. The crates sit on a 12” wide 4 wheel dolly and spin within the new 14”x14” plant saucers. I just use a shop vac connected to a 7 gal bucket to remove the runoff. It’s been really fun sharing my grows and I can tell already it’s making me a better grower. I’ve got a cannon rebel now so I can take better quality pics and I usually post a lot of them and they are in order throughout the week. Part of growing is finding cheaper or smarter ways of doing things. If anyone has any tips they use or dollar store finds I’d love if you’d share in the comments. I never expected a $6 crate could change how my plants grow so much. I am not going to on this grow but it would be easy to zip tie 4 bamboo or pvc stakes in each corner and make an even wider raised single plant trellis system above the crates for a much cheaper price than buying one. I have considered doing 3 plant grows of the same strain on here and mainlining one, LSTing one, and letting one grow naturally to see what I get the best yields strain to strain with. I would be doing this within the fastbuds genetic lineup. If that’s something that sounds good to you I’d appreciate any feedback either way. Hope you enjoy… Happy growing!

Continued LST and shaping this week… I ran into a minor mag deficiency this week but it showed most on my other plants. It should be rectified. This is one resilient auto. Very happy with this all the way through so far. It’s been drinking a lot of water and root tips are showing through the fabric pot pruning themselves. I tried feeding a little less cal mag (actually all nutes) compared to previous grows and my reduction in cal mag got me. With coco you really need it full strength I’ve found, at least with my water. …<200ppm tap dechlorinated. The lemon pie didn’t show signs of it but other ones did and I could see Lemon pie not far behind. I made a video compilation this week of my photos. Hope you enjoy ✌️🏼

Day 56 today. She’s just gotta get fat from here. It stretched nice considering how much training it had. This week is kind of just a continuation week so I’ll keep it short.

Another fun week of flower… she’s putting some size on. A really even growing plant with LST. Bumped my nutes to 1200 ppm for 3 of this weeks feedings. I’m typically around 750ppm on this plant but wanted to give it a little more. The GelatOG from seedsman (not featured) really put on a huge stretch, it’s turning into a really big plant. This is a 5x5 tent filling out nice. Back to lemon pie and I’m very excited to get this dried and cured. A few more weeks and I think I’ll have a real nice yield on this girl. The tent smells incredible with the space mango, cosmic bomb, gelatOG, and lemon pie. Leave me a comment and I’ll stop by and check out your grows!

Into the final week of flower, fun grow. Doing a tapered nute schedule into a 3 day flush this final week. Set up a controlled drying and curing tent for this harvest, hoping to get a lot better after the chop with this go around, I’ve put a lot of time into understanding drying and curing and hope it pays off.

This week was a lot of fun, I never had a plant fade black on me, I knew lemon pie could have purple traits, but this plant is stunning now that it’s finishing. Far from what I expected in a really good way. Going to give her a few more days, because each day the fade just gets better and better. I can’t wait to try this out, should be ready to share harvest with you soon. One of those plants that’s hard to chop down in the end.

I’m going to be trying the mega crop, sea-k, and sweet candy dry nutes on my next grow. For anyone with experience growing in coco. Do you amend the coco and water through the week with ph’d water, or do you add MC daily like liquid nutes? Watering sched? Ex: nute, nute, water…

It looks like that feed is based on being water soluble. So you'd want to use it as such vs mixing it in the soil. You could use it like hydroponics or once every now and then, but the amount you use will change based on your feeding schedule. eg everyday/once a week Your will need some tools if you don't have them, PH pen and EC/TDS or PPM pen as well. This style of feeding requires you to monitor the runoff and PH of the water. It's also easier to burn your plants and enter nutrient lockout with to much feed, be careful. on the plus side you can get great growth and buds off of liquid feed. It's not like a "whole food" that the soil microbes need to breakdown first and is harder to over feed. Its a gourmet concentrate like miracle grow with extra macro nutes. If I had to use it, I'd do feeding with every watering or set up a drip system that will constantly feed. I'd also use a lot more perlite in my coir mix to increase drainage 10x. or use LECA. PH also needs to be tweaked if using coir as hydro with liquid nutes. get a pre-buffered coir. fixes the affinity for calcium. P.S. They have a tool on the manufacturers webpage for feeding. https://greenleafnutrients.com/feeding-calculator/ best of luck.

Ready for harvest. A beautiful dark purple/black pheno of fastbuds lemon pie. This plant should yield pretty well. Frosty, smells great. Hope you’ve enjoyed, dry weight with harvest will be my next and final post for this grow. Feels like 10 stars all around here, we will see how it finishes.

If you’ve followed along you’ll know how well this plant grew. It handled a lot of stress from supercropping, LST, and defoliation. The plant wanted to produce and wasn’t letting me get in the way of that. 7 days dry in my new dry and curing room. First 4 days 70*f and 55% humidity increased to 60 by the final day. I ended up with just over 6 ounces dry weight, well trimmed, and properly weighed. My seedsman Gelat.OG grown at the same time was an 8oz plant and the only one that beat the lemon pie on dry weight. The smell and colors of the lemon pie had me going crazy from early flower til the end. It was an absolute pleasure to grow. This is the second Lemon pie I’ve finished, a friend was running out of room so I finished his plant. He also got close to 6ozs but the smoke was much different and the colors were as well. You will run into very different phenos with fastbuds strains and it makes it difficult to repeat grows, just don’t be upset if my smoke report above isn’t consistent on every plant if you decide to grow it. Both were very enjoyable though… FastBuds has a place in my heart forever and I’d recommend them to anyone looking to grow cannabis at any skill level. They’re just good people over there. Personally I will be taking a new journey with Mephisto next to try and expand my knowledge of other growers, after hearing so many great things it’s time I give them a try. Hope you follow me along on that grow as well.
