Been looking forward to sharing this week. I made some changes to the grow room to make it a little more easy to work in, added some new things to make it fun, as well as mounted fans for a new airflow pattern.
We’re in flower this week and this girls been unbelievable to train. It’s one of the most resilient autos I’ve ever grown. Autos can be a gamble sometimes. I’ve lollipopped it, LSTed it, and supercropped it, heavily defoliated, it has always been leaves back up within a few hours, and the minty green color of these leaves is beautiful. It is my only time growing fastbuds lemon pie, but if someone is looking for one to train heavy I already feel confident recommending this one. Of course always listen to your plant.
The addition of the crates helped me widen the usual tie down coverage I am limited to beyond the pots. I will never not use these crates in a future grow when training. The plant will breathe a lot better all the way through to flower. I have 4 corner air flow and a top fan I recently set up to work much more efficiently as a soft constant breeze mixed with a heavier oscillating gust to mimic the outdoors. The crates sit on a 12” wide 4 wheel dolly and spin within the new 14”x14” plant saucers. I just use a shop vac connected to a 7 gal bucket to remove the runoff.
It’s been really fun sharing my grows and I can tell already it’s making me a better grower. I’ve got a cannon rebel now so I can take better quality pics and I usually post a lot of them and they are in order throughout the week.
Part of growing is finding cheaper or smarter ways of doing things. If anyone has any tips they use or dollar store finds I’d love if you’d share in the comments. I never expected a $6 crate could change how my plants grow so much. I am not going to on this grow but it would be easy to zip tie 4 bamboo or pvc stakes in each corner and make an even wider raised single plant trellis system above the crates for a much cheaper price than buying one.
I have considered doing 3 plant grows of the same strain on here and mainlining one, LSTing one, and letting one grow naturally to see what I get the best yields strain to strain with. I would be doing this within the fastbuds genetic lineup. If that’s something that sounds good to you I’d appreciate any feedback either way.
Hope you enjoy… Happy growing!
I’m going to be trying the mega crop, sea-k, and sweet candy dry nutes on my next grow.
For anyone with experience growing in coco. Do you amend the coco and water through the week with ph’d water, or do you add MC daily like liquid nutes? Watering sched? Ex: nute, nute, water…
It looks like that feed is based on being water soluble. So you'd want to use it as such vs mixing it in the soil.
You could use it like hydroponics or once every now and then, but the amount you use will change based on your feeding schedule. eg everyday/once a week
Your will need some tools if you don't have them, PH pen and EC/TDS or PPM pen as well. This style of feeding requires you to monitor the runoff and PH of the water. It's also easier to burn your plants and enter nutrient lockout with to much feed, be careful. on the plus side you can get great growth and buds off of liquid feed. It's not like a "whole food" that the soil microbes need to breakdown first and is harder to over feed. Its a gourmet concentrate like miracle grow with extra macro nutes.
If I had to use it, I'd do feeding with every watering or set up a drip system that will constantly feed. I'd also use a lot more perlite in my coir mix to increase drainage 10x. or use LECA.
PH also needs to be tweaked if using coir as hydro with liquid nutes.
get a pre-buffered coir. fixes the affinity for calcium.
P.S. They have a tool on the manufacturers webpage for feeding.

best of luck.
Nice pots growmie!! Thanks so much for running a diary of our genetics 🙌 Let us know if you need any assistance, we’re more than happy to help. Happy Growing !!! 🌱☘️🌴🍀🌿🌳
Plants look healthy....the color is perfect which complements the feeding sched u shared with me..
I didnt do much training this run like l have in the past......this is my 3rd grow with FB genetics and have had success topping and main lining thier autos....
They seem to grow vigorously no matter what u put them through..
Good Luck homie......
@BioBuds, thank you I got the crate idea from canamatoes (Instagram) definitely a game changer for my style of growing. Great content on your grows I like the AR overlays, fun to look through.
Your plants look great....lm also a fan of FB genetics....l just started 5 P. Lemonade and
3 P. Punch. I'm using coco and
Canna nutrients for the first time.
Would you mind helping a fellow growmie out and share the feeding schedule you use........
Plz and Ty....Your plants look healthy and right on schedule......
I'll definitely follow your grow for guidance and comparison......
@The_GodPOTTer, I think you will be really happy with coco, bigger roots, easier to fix if there is a mistake… from sprout I water in a small ring with either a squirt bottle or something similar around the sprout maybe 1/2” wide circle that starts small around the base of the stem maybe 3” diameter - not a lot of water maybe 6-8ozs. Then from there I widen that circle and water more little by little for about 7-10 days and at that point I’m fully watering to runoff the entire plant daily about 20-30% runoff. You can water deep in the circle area then lightly water the top to keep the coco from blowing around if it helps or add a top layer like clay pellets. The idea is to make the roots stretch across for water but not let it completely dry out. You can water every day when you’re watering to runoff or even more than once a day. You’re putting fresh air, water and food down in each time for them like a hydro grow would. Real growers recharge is a great coco additive if you ever hit problems, I add it to every grow now. Best of luck my man!
@XG_Jack, since you've had experience with coco and lve only used soil.
When you research how to water......lve found conflicting info on starting seedings and the amount used. I understand theres more than 1 correct way. I went to coco because of the quicker veg growth and its was more forgiving to overwatering which has been my biggest prob and counter productive for autos. If u have time pls share your experiences on that side of it. Ty so much for your help.
@XG_Jack, Ty so much for your response and attention to detail. I added some worm castings and a very small amount soil in my medium. So l didnt apply anything else until the 10th day. So they've been fed 1x and look great and it's time for the 2nd. Your figures were really close to mine so that's PERFECT.
@Kusher, EC would be approx .7 but keep in mind it is only for 4 days before a 3 day flush, and the ppm is because of some cal mag and the tps signal to help the fade and finish. It’s not to sustainably grow I’m at least 700ppm+ in previous weeks. And run from 1.4-2.0 EC usually.
@Kusher, it’s dechlorinated tap water 110ppm. I wouldn’t look into this week for advice on feeding this is just a tapered flush. The week posted got a full feeding except the last day I dropped it and will be at just tap water by tomorrow. If any direct questions about feeding and your plant I’m happy to help, I can answer them better that way.
