Really excited to try this strain sweet seeds sent me. We did the ol' glass of water to paper towel to rockwool to hydroton. They're now happily sat in my rdwc system ready to blow up. I've been looking at diaries for this strain and it looks pretty hit or miss but we're looking to knock this one out of the park. When done properly these buds will look absolutely stunning.
What a strange strain. They're growing quickly but all have minor mutations with broader ruderalis style leaves. 2 have yellowed but not slowed down in growth, possibly due to oversaturation of rockwool cubes. The other two have twisted leaves with flat tips. I've put my air pump on a time for 15 mins every 2 hours to prevent oversaturating the cubes but keeping things moist. The root tips are just touching the water now so I've made a 1inch air gap between then water and net pots and turned my air pump back on 24/7. Let's see how she she goes
Frickin calmag issues. There's a few things it could be considering I'm seeing calcium & magnesium deficiencies in both tent running the same nutes. Firstly I could be running too high in nitrogen locking out mag. Secondly ph... but my ph has been a perfect 5.8 throughout. Finally my 1g calmag jug is on the last 100ml, maybe it's off. So for next week I'm going to adjust the mix, up the calmag from a fresh jug, bump up the bloom for a phosphorus boost and add in silicate. Hopefully this rights the ship. Weird little plants though they're all a little different from the mutant up front to some performing a little better. In any case I'll get this dialed in just watch and see lol
Told ya we would fix that calcium deficiency lol. Anyway all is well, 2 of these girls are just strange looking I don't think it's anything on my end, maybe that's just how the deep purple pheno grows. I suppose we'll have to wait and see. Got a little LST in this week, only snapped one main stem so about par for the course, a little electrical tape and we're good to go. See yall next week
Not a fun week.. though they're all developing well with the exception of the mutant in the back I had a slight problem this week. One of the bulkheads started leaking badly. I had to take the whole system apart to repair the leak and even now there's a slow drip. To add to it the girls didn't like being out of their home for as o g as they were but no worries I'm sure they'll bounce back. I've got purple calyx on at least 2 plants and started so see so.e purple Come through. Can't wait to see how these turn out
Lots of purple coming through now, everything is running smoothly now. The leak still exists but it's very minor, I'll fix it on the next run. Big old defoliation one last time now we sit back and watch buds form
Once again I find myself in that awkward position praying to the cannabis gods for the autos to stop growing. I believe this will be my last grow using a tent. I'm gonna crop the tents and just build a separate room in my garage so I can spread these gals out. I have to say the colors on these buds are insane, the smell is almost that of grapefruit. However they are some weird lanky plants that haven't been fun to keep a good canopy level. Hence the room next grow. Happy growin
Aside from looking like a crowded japanese elevator inside the tent things are growing pretty well. I've run I to some nute burn paired with a calcium deficiency. These girls are getting calmag do my best guess is an excess of nitrogen blocking calcium. Noting my calmag is 2-0-0 I've cut out the grow and lowered my micro slightly. Cut the bloom boosters and went back to basics to see of that rights the ship. Lots of purple and smellingike a grapefruit orchard in there. Wish me luck.
So many issues. Idk I'm swinging for the fences. We're gonna blast them at 1050ppm for the last week and pray these girls ripen up before the flush. Colors are still pretty awesome and the smell is 10/10. Hopefully I don't burn them too badly lol
Not the easiest grow I've ever had. They required extra attention and were sensitive to light and nutrients. Personally I found it hard to dial in but that being said if you do dial it in these buds have the deepest purple I've ever seen.
Insane deep purple buds. Wouldn't recommend to new grower as they can tend to be finicky. However the end result if done right look amazing, the contrast between the branch and buds was almost alien. Kind of light sensitive, and they produce a lot of sap at the buds which is something I've never really seen. Strange grow, strange buds, crazy colors
@Shooey, yeah mate the gorilla giant was bananas. After that Silverback I figures I'd try some autos. It's easier to tame a yorkshire terrier than a feral ape.
@Blessed_With_Knowledge, can't get it in Canada sadly, I haven't been able to get my hands on a jug since covid hit. Dr maryjane is my solution and the second cousin of hydroguard
Hey! Happy growing! You're going good and sure will get some good results! I'll be following! Keep on growing! Say hello if you ever visit my diaries! 🛸🌿✌️
Congratulations! 👏
Thank you very much for trusting our strains, and sharing your experience.
And thank you very much again for the score of 8 out of 10!! 👏😍❤️
We hope you enjoy the harvest 👌
