Fastbuds Stardawg Auto

Just for the record - you will see photos in all my diaries of a megacrop I'm doing on an unknown photoperiod - full story in Forbidden Runtz diary. This was in my grow but I moved it into it's own 12/12 so I could get on with all these lovely Fastbuds Autos - will be pushing her ALL THA WAY - so expect more pics of deliciousness 😍 Day 1 This little beauty germed as fast as FFR but took a little longer to pop her head up from soil - as a result I had already lowered light to stop my FFR stretching - consequently stardawg isn't stretchy 😄 Day 4 She is 4cm still which is amazing and tightly packed - promising for those nodes! She should be a dream to work on - She seems just a tad slow in growth rate but she's happy good color and not stressed - kinda waiting on her to raise my light and the levels - next couple days Gave 100ml water but mainly for the soil activity. Still misting Day 7 She is slow and steady. 5cm. I noticed she was slow to break her testa, to put roots down and very twisted slow growth - at first thought could be water damage - maybe during germ? However she is looking fine and the internodal spacing on this is so tight! RH80 23.4C. Misting

Day 8 No height change. .She's opening up now. Gave her 1:1000ml grow big in 100ml water today. She's happy Day 9 Slow and steady - I hopefully posted training techniques for this wk - prob wk 3 on this slow girl. She is lush though, going to have insane tight internodal spacing - doesn't look like she is stunted - just slow - expect dank 😎 Fan is on it's cycle which is why those RH & temp #'s are down Day 11 She's strong and beginning to shoot up - obviously set her roots so going to have to keep an eye on her today - put a cm on last night - might bottom fim later today - will be up for 1st top in next few days. As ever, she is a day behind her cuz Fastbuds Forbidden Runtz - expect by day end tomorrow she will be topped. She had 1:1000ml grow big in 150ml today. Fimmed 👍 Day 12 Hmm still 24-48hrs on this one - those axils are weeny - will lst leaves to get more light on them Day 13 Topped 10am

Day 14 Pinned those leaves down a bit. Misting 1:1000ml grow big - Looking good Day 15 oh wow - ok - I've noticed this from the start with this StarDawg seed - she got some serious lateral bias - look at the day 15 pics and you will see the axils are diff heights ok - that happens - but she had a burnt tip on her first single fan leaf, and correspondingly same on first five finger fan. Suspect some kind of root trauma from germ. Not sure what to do. Not going to start calling her stumpy - bad Karma - no I'm just gonna ignore it & maybe look at root grow stimulant? Truth is, it is most likely one of those seeds - not bad just different. Man I hope it doesn't make the bud any stronger coz this is Stardawg and it already wipes me out lol. Right! Ignore all that intellectual self gratification etc... I foliar fed plants when I shouldn't have - simple - see Forbidden Runtz Day15 entry for full, but simply put Pic above shows N toxicity is in both leaves - due to not factoring extra N in for lifecycle soil I'm using (for 1st time) or container size Same treatment as in FR diary Day15 - plain h2O 100ml - no more feed in mister - check Also, funny note - that axil has caught up - am leaving all that intellectualising guff in here mainly coz it's funny. easy when you know how 😚 😏 Day 16 Those axils are swelling nicely - will bend in next 24hrs leaning towards latter part - want this one to have wider mainline as going to expand with 2nd light so might as well The fan has been moved from near Stardawg / Big Bud to other side of grow and Light raised First bend done - all good nice size Day 17 Nipped off the fan leaves. bad leaf curl pointing down on tip - something wrong under the soil - so did pH - seems 1/2 soil is hot - not much but 7 - elsewhere in pot 6.5 - so gotta cool off soil. my water pH is about 6.8 soooo... will adjust and feed this one separately She's still strong and slooow Day 18 Well I gave her 200ml ph 6 adjusted rainwater with 3:1000ml calmag last night after I top dressed and filled in holes. Seems there was a massive dry spot on one side - why got varying readings I guess. Soil needs to be saturated to test, so 1st reading is questionable. Still she has definitely perked up - her leaves are praising the sun. Got another 400ml of her own mix - will test soil again beginning next wk after she's had another drop Her reward for feeling better? Off with her head! 2nd Top. Seriously though, no point wasting all that growing when it could be going elsewhere. Cruel to be kind. Day 19 She is recovering and got 2:1000 Grow Big & 3:1000 Calmag in 200ml pH6 rainwater. She is not getting enough light but in next few days MHts600 going in right above her 👍 Day 20 Wooh! worried about two close watering but clearly what she needed - suspect soil pH because the balanced water seemed to help. Back on track - lost a few days -shouldn't think it will make a whole difference to the training

Day 21 Okay... she is back to full growth rate. This week will be illuminating: she slowed right down after last top and had serious rhino horn leaves saying something wasn't right under the soil. A pH test suggested a drench in pH6 adjusted rainwater would sort along with consolidate soil with top dress. She is due to be tied hopefully tomorrow am and I am hoping she doesn't get a sulk on and slow down. If she gets through next training week without slowing I will continue with 3rd top and follow same design as FR & PP, but if she gets a cob on, then I will probably start to train her on the fly and only give her 2 tops. So far she is about 4 days behind her cuz FR who had same birthday - if she gets another sulk on then she will be a week behind aaand will do same for third top and then prob get two wks behind, Bit much for an auto - that said she could poss go two wks longer, but not worth banking on that. Fastbuds has her down as 9-10wks. So the next two days will determine her fate. I am not touching her at all. She is a fussy drinker - not too dry - not too wet. Since drenching the leaf curl is noticeably less however. Going to be extremely careful this next bend as really want her to set her roots & will defoliate fans later: sacrificing efficiency for strength of growth - she needs to set more root I reckon. Going to let that happen this week Once again I will mention that she had probs breaking her shell and this is not down to the genetics but environment / s*** luck - should have given her longer to germ. Now she's getting it! look at those lovely fan leaves - bit of lst on them to keep fresh growth at top of plant - will bend her tomorrow! what a nice surprise - had a great lunch with my brother & his family (1st time in over a year - bloody Covid!) & great day in the grow! result! She had 100ml plain rain water Day 22 Really wanna bend her, I have hoping there would be a redress of the imbalance between both sides, but no. I could sequentially bend the harder growing 1st then weaker next day? Not sure, I thought they were catching up but I think it's just how you look at her LOL, Pictures clearly say nah no change. Whatever I do she is getting her 2nd bend tonight/tomorrow She had 100ml plain rainwater. Backing off nutes and letting premix soil take the strain. Day 23 Ok. Final branch caught up - good bend. Not going to repeat errors with FR and going to keep fan leaves on as long as poss. She had 200ml plain rain water Day 24 Well I've been worrying about space and light decisions for days. Done now. Everyone is in max light & without any reflective material - I cannot put another plant in grow... yet. So FR swapped with PP but everyone else more or less where they were. Pink Tub has gone and wire intensive solution created. She had 250ml 3:1000ml grow big in 250ml plain rain water. Happy and recovering that disparity in growth with max light going to weaker side.. Going to go a little less quickly with training these Fastbuds as compared with purple punch - these girls are my heavy hitters, I want them big and strong. Day 25 Well I've topped all four nodes... I didn't want to slow or stress her again, but I didn't want three branches off one node & space is an issue four me so thought what the hell.... left the big fan leaves on for way longer than norm seems to have helped, but after another 24hr recovery, they will be coming off for the next wave of meristems. She is putting out tiny flowers at the top sites....? Stressed to all *&%! She had 250ml plain rain Day 26 You know I questioned leaving those big fans on and meant to take them off, but when I saw her this morning and she looked happy for the first time in a week, i thought nah. makes me question taking them off at all, she seems to like. The theory is why grow anything big that is meant for waste pile in such short lived plant, but you gotta have strong growth - it's a toss up. Here I think big is beautiful She had 250 ml plain rain, and once that last mainline bend is in, then bloom the next week Day 27 Won't be long will do the fans when do the next bend. 250ml plain rain

Day 28 250ml plain rain. Defoliation and tying. preflower everywhere. Top dressed w a little Plant Magic Plus. Nutes tomorrow. Day 29 Just letting her recover and grow those leaves Nutes today - 3:1000 of grow big, tiger bloom & calmag in 250ml pH adjusted rain water Day 30 Just reties. Still letting her stretch a little - I will try and put in one more bend on the main lines but I don't wanna 😬 but so far she surprises when my back turns and puts on a whole load of growth so hoping this is the case tomorrow. She had 300ml plain rain water Day 31 Not so thirsty today 200ml plain rain - cpl reties oops checked pH - 6.9 not good - let that slip. adjusting rest of week she had another 250ml 5:1000 tiger bloom and calmag this evening - hot day 27C 45rH Day 32 She needed opening up (see FB-FR grower Q) So plowed ahead with it. Went well - bit more tomorrow but should be absolutely it for the training lol yeah right 300ml plain rain water Day 33 Well she is a toughie - I COULD NOT unfurl those branch tips they are too soft. Going to let her go rogue - she is such a strong plant I'll get 8 good colas - apart from the space saving not got a lot out of training her - it's been hard all the way. I put it down to poor soil choice and pot size. She's still looking beautiful. I should defoliate but kinda just letting go you know, feeling it... we'll see if and when in cpl days 300ml plain rain water Day 34 Few more colas than 8 I expect which is nice. Took off the 'main' mainline fan leaves - don't need any more primary growth there. I kinda hope she doesn't stretch but obviously she does what she wants and probably will. Top dressed. 300ml plain rain water Day 35 Reties and 300ml plain rain water

Day 36 Nothing to do. 5:1000ml tiger bloom and calmag in 300ml plain rain water Day 37 300 ml plain rain Day 38 300ml plain rain Had a move around - had hoped final positions but Stardawg needs to turn 45 - too tired to do it today. But can have more plants now have 2x ts1000 in grow so that's happening - Fastbuds Cinderella Auto in glass of supplemented water already 😁 Day 39 Turned her 😄 think for last time 👏 350ml plain rain today - nutes schedule going up tomorrow from bi wkly 5:1000ml Tiger Bloom Fert to bi weekly 2:1000ml Grow Big and Tiger Bloom Fert & 3:1000ml Big Bloom - calmag throughout - more nitrates if see signs weak growth or nitrate leach but so far soil mix holding good. This is Fox Farm recommended schedule btw Day 40 Nutes 2:1000ml Grow Big, Tiger Blooom & Calmag in 350ml pH adjusted rain water Day 41 350ml plain rain - got some stretch going on - nice to see in this plant 😃👍

Day 42 350ml plain rain and a little top dress Day 43 350ml plain rain - defoliated to sativa leaves - just a few fans where needed Day 44 350ml pH adjusted rainwater 2:1000ml grow big, tiger bloom / 1:1000ml calmag Day 45 3;1000ml big bloom in 350ml plain rain water Day 46 300ml plain rain Had to vacuum for mites - for full findings look in Forbidden Runts diary same day - but overall am pleased with result - cross fingers 8hrs later and she is looking healthier - getting the same treatment tomorrow - dr's orders Day 47 She was thirsty thirsty this am - a good sign 3:1000 Big Bloom 2:1000 Tiger Bloom Grow Big 1:1000 Calmag in 400ml plain rain Went over her with my loupe - no signs of mites or anything - looking good. Day 48 New watering schedule - every two days Found some mite larvae - washed underside leaves with weak bio dish soap solution 25ml in 450ml, defoliated one bud - rest of plant clear Released all her ties - get that osmotic pressure going how she wants

Day 49 500ml plain rain Day 50 Just 100ml plain rain - nutes tomorrow Day 51 2:1000ml TIger Bloom Grow Big 1.5:1000ml Calmag 3:1000ml Big Bloom 7:1000ml Unsulph Molasses in 500ml pH6.7 water Temp 24.7C rH47 She is definitely going to go term 👍👊😛😎 happy daze Day 52 omg they are thirsty now - 400ml pH6.6 rain water Day 54 3:1000ml Big Bloom 2:1000ml Grow Big Tiger Bloom 1.5:1000ml Calmag 7:1000ml Unsulphured Molasses in 670ml pH6.5 rainwater Day 55 Drying soil so 400ml pH6.5 rainwater

Day 57 pH6.6 Day 58-61 Right not been posting for a while coz torn between cropping and pushing for double bubble Both FR and SD had probs with soil, nute burn, mites and they are ambering up bang on 9wks I was really hoping to push them to 13wks (21Jan) but will basically be producing hash by then LOL It's so annoying coz just getting swelling so will try to maximize on what time have left So got 10% amber top and bottom. Got another week of a waning moon so will maximise the swell till the 29th (168hrs more light) and then 48hrs dark. They've been off nutes for over a week. just had molasses today but that is it. So will flush in a few days and wahay 2021 Harvest!

Day 63 1.5:1000ml Calmag 7:1000ml unsulphured molasses in 600ml plain rainwater Bone Dry again - 600ml every day at mo Only took pics of bottom bud trichomes today. Lot of amber 😬 The smell is awesome - loads of swell Looked at top trichs - hard to tell with fresh new growth - but the creaminess of the colas is obvious to naked eye - lots of amber in there Still going to push for 31st harvest, but might bring 48hr dark period forward couple of days - will keep checking bottom trichs every morning Day 64 Just - so - impatient 400ml rainwater no point checking trichs - she's ready but my growmie n I have agreed the above harvest and sticking to it Talking of sticking to it - SHE IS SOOOOOO STICKY 😍😎 Day 65 Well me growmies and I got together and decided not to buy mystery weed from our local loonie in order to wait for a fat harvest - we need the weed! Might as well be good right? So yeah chopped. Just did a light trim - both so laden in trichs on the leaves bit difficult - I usually leave a little leaf on if it is healthy - just to allow the dry to be even My perfect dry cupboard is 49rH and 15C - but we neeed the weeed So - they are in the other half of my 12/12 cupboard all tucked up in the dark bout 21C day 18C night haven't got the rH yet- farm weed cure method - (old airy shed - hot day / cold night) hopefully should have some dank for New Year's 😁😎 Will let you know how it goes
