11/22-Start of week 4. GG's are looking good overall. GG #1 keeps moving along nicely although I wish I had not broken that branch or it would be really great. After topping GG2 it is coming along great. So much so that I moved it into the grow tent and demoted GG3 to the other grow area. I've been aggressively LST and removed some leaves to get some light down low. I'll see how she does. Continuing to adjust LST on both SD's which are both looking good at 21 days. 11/24-Watered GG#1 and SD#1 1/2 gal each with a 25% dose of Sensi Grow A&B 8 ml/gal ( 4 and 4) and 6.5PH. Put the plants out in the sun for a few hours because it was so nice. PPFD was about 1200 in the sun. 11/25-Raised the lights 2" to account for growth in the plants. PPFD is around 600 ish with no adverse affects observed so far. Did a fair bit of defoliation on all the plants to get some more lights down low. I'm hoping that I'm not overdoing the LST. We shall see. 11/26- I noticed that the GG #1 had a brown tip developing on only (1) leaf. Not sure what that is since none of the other plants or leaves show anything similar. Will monitor. Received a new touchscreen controller from Optics LED that will allow me to fine tune the lighting by 1% increments on the Slim 320S. Happy to have it for the rest of veg and then into bloom. 11/27-I think I figured out the cause of the brown tip leaf on GG #1. I purchased a heater to place in the tent to keep temps steady. I think even though it only ran in short stints when temps dipped the intensity was pretty hot. And it was aimed a bit toward GG #1. I've moved it to the other side of the grow tent where there is a bit more room and I made sure to aim the airflow clear of the plants directly. Will monitor. Did another watering but this time increased the nutes to 50% (8ml per Sensi Grow A&B) of recommended levels . One half gallons per plant for GG1 &2 and SD 1&2. PPM of about 900 ish on this watering with 6.4 ph. Will monitor for any adverse reaction. 11/28-All the plants are looking good. No adverse effects observed from the increase in nutrients which is great. The first 2 plants I topped, GG#1 and SD#2 are really shaping up nicely and getting close to that even canopy I'm looking for. All the plants are starting to show the first signs of stretching. Still no pre-flowering yet. raised the lights a couple of inches to account for growth. Increased red lights on Slim 320S light to 32%. Blue channel is at 100%. PPFD around 700 now. 11/29-Overall the plants look good. I detected a couple of very tiny white tips on the leaves on GG#1 and SD#1. Almost unnoticeable but probably a sign that I should cut back on the Grow nutes to 25%. Both GG1 and SD1 are getting that even canopy look. SD2 (untopped) is trying to get taller but the LST is helping to keep things relatively even. The SD's are shaping up to provide an interesting look at the difference in yields from top/no top. Both GG2 (topped) and GG3 are just not getting taller or wider. They both look healthy but there is not much room between nodes. Don't know why. At this point I'm seeing the very earliest signs of pre-flower on the SD's but not on the GG's. Finally, I did a trim on SD 1&2 as well as GG 1&2 to open things up a bit.

When I watered each of the plants with Ph balanced water only the runoffs for each plant were about 30% higher ppm than I put in on the previous watering with nutes (see numbers above). The plants look very healthy. Should I be concerned with this and if so why?

I’d be concerned with the strength of your feeds - the EC/PPM in general. You’re hovering around 1500 ppm which is a very strong feed, especially for autoflowers. I rarely go above 1000 PPM with photos. You are starting to see some signs of lockout on a few and one has some signs of N toxicity (SD2). I’d personally do a flush with reg water and run a solid gallon or two thru the bottom of each.. cut those feeds in half going forward. Advanced is so “complex” of a line up I don’t know what to tell you to cut out of that regimen but I’d be feeding 650-800 max going forward unless there’s signs of deficiencies.

Before I watered plants today the Ph was 6.0 and 1,000 ppm. I added nutrient solution of 6.2 and 1,000 ppm to each plant until runoff. Runoffs were 1,300 to 1,700 range. Ph was 5.9. Is this in the ballpark. If I add 1,000 ppm to existing 1,000 ppm and get less is that right?

meter callibrated? what is error% or +/- accuracy of tool? pH dropping can be microbes. This depends a bit on how well buffered your nutrients are and even your tap water pH. (or whatever water source). You probably want to target a slightly higher pH with soil. It gives a bit more room for error on the low side. You drop a few tenths below 5.8-6.0 and you can lock out some nutes very quickly. you aren't adding 1000ppm to 1000ppm (false perception). You don't want it escalating way over 1000ppm in nearly all contexts. Some living soils or super soils may have a valid arguement, but in genearl you don't want your concentration of dissolved nutrients spiking or even gradually increasing over time will also cause major problems but further down the road before you see it. You want to maintain a safe and fertile concentration and ratio (balance) of nutrients. This is the point of runoff. get 10-15% runoff and it should avoid any buildup of concentration. This runoff should go down drain or thrown outside. Don't let it soak back in to pot. This will maintain your pH too -- assuming microbial issues are not causing a wild swing in pH. some evaporation occurs between irrigations. this increases "EC" or ppm of the water soaked into the soil. The excess runoff during irrigation will average everything back out and the higher concentrations are flushed out. What you add is significantly more than what moisture remains, so it safely returns it back to what you feed. your soil has nutes in it. This is why you don't see it running out at 1000ppm. The plant isn't clawing and it looks pretty late into flower. While i wouldn't make any drastic changes at this point in time, i'd be careful of those ppms rising too high. Watch for any hint of burnt tips or leaf symptoms. if they start to pop up, maybe give 1/2 dose for a couple fertilliations and make sure that runoff ppm drops a bit. other note -- runoff won't accurately tell you what is in the soil. it should probably be a bit higher, unless you get a ton of runoff, at which point it may be damn near what you feed if enough fertilied water runs through it. It's a good thing to check and will hint at an impending problem, but don't read it as "my soil is 1700ppm" because that's not what it is telling us. it is likely lower than what runoff is. watch for relative changes.. is it going up? down? staying the same is more often the target if all is going well. 1.5EC or 750ppm is probably a better target for future. Soil is more complicated than that since you have some nutes in it and slowly ramp up feeding as the plant eats up what is pre-built into soil. there are many factors involved with soil to consider. if you stick in this range and religious about runoff and not having any dry pockets of substrate after any irrigation, it's virtually impossible to run into any nutrient issues. if you irrigate with water only, a little less runoff is fine. be religious about teh 10% when you fertilize, but any water-only irrigation you just want to ensure there are no dry pockets. this requires some runoff to be sure. Unless your intention is to lower concentrations of nutrients in soil, of course.. extra runoff can quicly do that in case of toxicity.

I'm using Advanced Nutrients Flawless Finish to flush my Sour Diesel autos. I've read varying ideas as how best to use the product. Should I use it on my first flush only or continue to use it on all waterings up to harvest?

Advanced Nutrients recommends the following: Use 2 mL per Liter during the last week of the bloom phase. https://www.advancednutrients.com/products/flawless-finish/ I'd be inclined to use it the way they advertise it. But with all nutrient companies you can get away with half doses if its needed. Some people just flush with ph'd water vs using and flushing agent. Its all personal choice. Best of Luck and Happy Growing

My 2 Sour Diesel autos are at the 11 week mark. I've flushed them for one week now and they are getting lots of yellow leaves and the trichomes are getting milky. However there is hardly a trace of any amber trichomes. Do I wait for the amber? Am I being impatient?

Yeah impatient 😂you're so close though, those buds have still got a bit of bulking up to do. I don't start flushing until I see all Cloudy and then harvest at 10-20%amber,it can take 1-3 weeks for Ambers to appear
