Greenbuzzliquids Solocup W/ Mars Hydro

Well shit, what an interesting first week! Day 1- November 5th soaked in towels Day 3- pop Day 4- transplant Day 5- Sprout in early am, drop in late. evening. Day 6- Recovery. Day 7- Doing good. Its my first week of the solo grow, that started great and sort of ended a bit rough. But it was doing incredible growth and managed a good recovery, even with the drop. In order to get the 50 grams of substrate that was a little challenging, because with soil..thats just not much. So I decided I'd make up some volume by using less soil and more perlite. I think it made for a good combination and will hopefully keep a nice loose airy but rich environment. Cheers to the next week. Green buzz liquids, Mars Hydro tent and lighting. A great week! I couldn't be happier. A very successful recovery from being dropped. Her leaves are green, healthy and strong in appearance. She's putting out more and more secondary leaves. And slowly increasing height.. Her stem still looks a bit stretched, but I'm putting that down to not being able to successfully lay down her roots and stems without disturbance. I had to replant her very gently and unfortunately that didn't leave much room for burying her as deep as she would be naturally. However overall this Solo Cup grow is going nicely. We get a max 5 week veg time so she better get boosting along here these next couple weeks or she'll be doomed to be abnormally tiny. Its been a great week! We're getting height....slowly, but more and more new growth nodes is good good good! She(he?)-unknown still. Moved into getting all LED all the time. Lowered the light and kicked up the power to 65% and all seems well in that regard....no burning, wilting or any other irritation showing. All I can hope for now is that it ends up being a girl....but even if its a boy, I've never collected pollen or willingly pollinated any plants so maybe nows that opportunity if so. Week 4 Gaining some height...but slowly. I think the initial fall probably set this one back on its speed and slowed down the vertical growth. I did notice the main root was curled around, had odd placement and poked out of the top soil, which typically a plant this young wouldn't do, even with the low soil amount. I also noticed as the week progressed the vibrant green color has started to go down, this too could be a cause of the slow down. However I think it more likely a ph fluctuation, or I'm having a bit of a fungus gnats breakout.... but I'm trying some various remedies available and am hopeful to get them gone. This is my first time attempting a grow in such a small container so there's bound to be hiccups along the way. Thanks for the support and of course any opinions or advice are always welcome. Wow solo cup growing is hard. I'm out of grow liquid fertilizer and I'm having a significant fungus gnats struggle. So my leaves are doomed to fail at the moment. The yellow low leaves is due to nitrogen, but that unusual brownish almost eaten away sort of look....Fungus Gnats! I can only say this....my struggles with various things have definitely made it easy to diagnose my plants for specific problems. Fixing the problem is a little harder. Tried some hydrogen peroxide water mixture which is supposed to kill the larvae....but if you can't catch the flying adults then the cycle repeats. The fight continues.

Fungus Gnats = slow growth. I let this plant get a tad too close to the light for one day and it grew into it...burn burn burn! This grow is cursed! Lol But I shall endure! Because I want these genetics. I must have a clone! MUST!

I did a poor job at maintaining photos this week and only grabbed the one top photo. She's recovering from the burn and keeps getting bigger. But has minimal side branching. I've decided to not continue this one in the solo cup grow off. But she is still staying in a solo cup. I should've picked a different strain for my solo cup grow because this Jack The Ripper is important to me and I don't want to lose it on a one grow setup. Thats the value of photoperiod strains, they can continue indefinitely.....sort of. So I will maintain this grow with my current setup of @greenbuzzliquids fertilizer and my @marshydro SP6500 LED and 4x2x6 growtent. But the grow will be longer to accommodate getting at least one surviving clone. Happy growing everyone.

Alright. A good week. I believe we're seeing the first pistil. Could use some better side branching but its getting the least direct light of any plant...so its to be expected. I had to start using some small doses of fox farm grow nutrient as thats what I have available. @marshydroled sp6500, 2x4x6 growtent. @greenbuzzliquids fertilizer.

Another veg week down. She's just this crazy tall, minimal side branching solo cup plant. Lol . And looks crazy! How people regularly grow tall plant in tiny containers and them not be falling over all the time is beyond me. @marshydroled sp6500, 2x4x6 growtent. @greenbuzzliquids fertilizer.
