12/24 Soaked seeds 24 hours,
1 day in a paper towel, then
12/26 into the rockwool and the Aerogarden for germination.
1/5/2022
Transferred into the net pots and added additional Hydroton to compensate for their stretching. Used 1 gallon of fish tank water and 3 gallons of purified water, PH'd it down to 4.6 and will check it tomorrow as I'm expecting a bit of PH rebound higher. We shall see. Finally did a light feeding to help with stress relief from being transferred out of the Aerogarden. I used black zip ties to anchor the net pots to the lid. Just need to give each plant their garden gnome.
1/11
Plants are looking good. Some small amounts of algae is starting to grow in the water level sight tubes, putting some additional UC roots directly in the sight guage. I will start some LST tomorrow.
1/12 Day 19 starting from seed soaking. Started LST on all 3.
1/21 start of week 3. What to name these girls????
1/23. Day 23.
Started the major LST today. I also did some very light Kyle Kushman chiropractic at each of the bending points on the stems. Happy to report no broken or badly snapped stems. You will see in some of the pictures there are some almost 90 degree angles. To help them recover it was another feeding day for the week and topped them off with some PH'd balanced water @ 5.5. So far overall everything is looking good and the gals are communicating 5x5! 😃
Week 4
1/28/22
This week just some slight maintenance, keeping the water levels topped off and a feeding. I am going to half the weekly feeding every 4 days. Some light defoliation removing the large fan leaves that are blocking the new cola sites.
Week 5
2/4/22
2/7 - Another round of defoliation and some HST chiropractic on the stems. Since they are in pre-flower this will be the last of LST / HST. I started a light feeding of the Beastie Bloom 1/4 tsp per gallon. I will up the strength as the weeks go on. I added one addition optic light so that now make 4 in there. I also added another small fan to circulate air at the base of the plant where I will be lolloping the lower larf off.
Mila / Blue will get the de-noding treatment, I will be removing all larf and bud sites only leaving the top 3 nodes via the Kyle Kushman technique.
Violet / Red will get my standard growing process.
Willow / Green will be a hybrid growing of both processes.
I will give them a few days to recover before the de-noding takes place.
So far these girls have responded very well to all the manipulation, I've only had to splint 2 branches with packing tape. In the past I would have completely snapped those branches off. So chalking it up to improved skills and good genetics of the plants. My skills have a long way to go 🙏
2/11/22 Week 6
2/12 - Feeding day 1/2 amounts and topped off the water levels. Keeping the PH around 5.5 and will start getting the PH to 6.0 as now all 3 plants are in the beginning stages of flowering. I'm still de-noding up to the top 3. So far everyone is looking healthy.
2/17 - Another feeding day and topped off with water. All vegetation on the lower 1/2 of each plant has been Lolli popped. I'm starting to increase the Beastie Bloomz now with each feeding too. I'm only removing fan leaves that are blocking the bud sites.
Violet / Red started to show her flower site about a week before the other 2.
Week 9 March 5th
3/8 - Topped off with water, removed the heater, and added the dehumidifier. Outside temps are starting to warm up quite a bit now.
3/10 - Feeding day and topping off with water, did a little defoliation.
3/14 - Topped off with some regular de-chlorinated tap water to increase PH to 6.0
March 12th Week 10
3/15 Day
Feeding and topping off water. Continuing to remove any of the growth on the lower 2/3 of each plant.
Pretty much every other day I'm adding a gallon of water for each plant while trying to maintain the PH at 6.0
3/20 Week 11
3/22 decided to space out the feeding to ensure no fertilizer burn. Topping off with water and maintaining the PH levels.
3/25 Seems that I should not have reduced the feeding schedule.
