Dropped beans in a glass of spring water and let it soak for approximately 8 hours. Then the seeds went directly in 3 gallon pots. Took approximately 3 days to sprout. 100% germination.

One of my babies got uprooted... Just propped her up with soil.. Not sure if she's going to make it. NL2 and NL3 both looking good. I found it hard to grow in the winter even in a grow tent inside your house... Still working on dialing in my growing environment.

They are currently on Day 12. Just watered with 1Tbs of molasses yesterday, after a 3-day drought period. Used about a gallon jug between the three pots. Lowered down humidity to 65%. And have been increasing light intensity. So far, so good.

Day 16. Gave the babies some light nutes - GH CaliMag and FF Big Bloom. They seem to have reponded well. Had some good growth last 3 days. NL1 is out of the woods from being uprooted as a seedling. Now she's trying to catch up with her sisters. Did some light LST with NL2 and NL3. Upped my light intensity. Now they're at 70%. No signs of deficiencies as far as I know. But do let me know if you guys see something. Update: Day 20. Gave the ladies a good drink 4 days after the light feeding. Will be feeding again in about 4 to 5 days, including pre-flower nutes this time. Trying to get the ladies trained by LST, but they are so bushy, not sure if it's doing any good.

The girls seem healthy, but this NL pheno seems short and bushy. They are going into week 4. Would like some tips on LST'ing for the bushy ladies. Would you consider defoliating? Do you think they'll be vertically challenged for life, or will they be stretching out some?

I would try not to defoliate unless the leaf is getting burred into the medium when your watering. even then I'd try and bend it up so it stays dry. The plants are a bit to young to strip them of anything yet. They are prime for some early LST. I used to wind the plant aorund like a spiral and pin the new growth down. it worked well for me as my first attempt at LST. Now I top them and do a makeshift mainline with some LST. If this is your first auto run, Don't top just use some LST. This method has worked out well for me in the past. I like to use metal U shaped brackets for LST or some soft string. Both items can be purchased at a dollar store. Can see the brackets in my current grows. Best of Luck and Happy Growing!

Week 4. Day 24. The ladies are in the middle of Week 4 of veg. Currently at Day 24 since germination. NL2 and NL3 are bushing out. I'm finding it hard to even out the canopy and expose the new growths/tops. NL1 is trying to catch up to her sisters. NL2 looks pretty beat up from LST and leaf tucking. NL3's canopy looking much better. Definitely much better than NL2 in my opinion. Noticing potential early onset of nitrogen toxicity, so I backed off on feeding. Gave ladies a drink with some molasses for the microbes instead. The plan now is to feed pre-flower nutes on their next drink, which should be in 3 to 4 days. Hoping to get another week or two of veg. We'll see. UPDATE. Week 4. Day 28. Gave the girls their first real feeding with pre-flower nutes. Girls seemed thirsty and showing signs of pre-flower. Per Gallon: 1 tsp Big Bloom - 1/3 recommended strength. .5 tsp Grow Big - 1/4 recommended stength. .5 tsp Tiger Bloom - 1/4 recommended strength. Prepared 2 gallons shared between all three. There was about 5 to 10% runoff, which was drained. Will need to monitor how they respond. Cheers!

My babies are at day 27 - NL Autos. I was looking at the new growths and noticed what I think might be pre-flowers? Can someone confirm? I'm on FF Soil - 50:50 HF and OF, and plan on using FF liquid nutes. Should I start with the light pre-flower nutrient feeding regime?

Your plants are looking good and starting to flower. Since you are half Happy Frog soil you could start adding low dose nutrients. If you switch to flower nutrients make sure you continue to give them some nitrogen for at least several weeks (2-4 weeks) into flower or about until the stretch is complete. Many flower nutrients don't contain nitrogen but it is still needed for the first part of flower. If you start having the lower leaves turn yellow it might be nitrogen defficiency. I love the Fox Farms soils, especially Ocean Forest which I use in my grows. I am not a fan of their nutrients. Too many products with only slight variations and minimal if any micro nutrients. Also, their low nutrient value means you'll need more (good for them, more money for you). I'm not saying FF nutrients are bad, I just like others better because they are simpler and contain micros so you aren't having to buy 5 or 10 products. As an alternative you can consider General Hydroponics nutrients. I have had great luck with their Bio Thrive Bloom and Grow formulas. I have recently finished my first grow with their Maxi Bloom and Maxi Grow dry fertilizers. With each type one bottle of veg and one bottle of flower nutes usually does the trick though I recommend keeping a bottle of Cal/Mag on hand (brand doesn't matter) especially if you are using bottled, RO or municipal water.

The ladies are 35 days old. Ladies went into pre-flower this week. Gave another feeding - 1/4 strength FF nutes, full strength CalMag, and full strength Recharge. I'm thinking of feeding every other watering at quarter strength. They are currently drying up every 3 to 4 days... Will continue to monitor growth, and adjust as needed. I accidentally snapped the top mainline for NL3... So I had to tape her back up. She also started showing signs of deficiency.. I suspect Calcium deficiency.. So I supplemented with CalMag. I'm thinking her wound triggered the issue. May have depleted her resources from trying to heal. Trying to spoil the ladies a bit as they transition to womanhood. Keeping the tent doors open during day time for better air circulation. Temp and humidity are keeping pretty stable. Happy growing! Cheers!

One of my ladies is showing some rust spots after she went into pre-flower, which is also about the time I accidentally snapped the top of her mainline. My other two are doing fine, and they've all been treated the same. Im suspecting CalMag deficiency, but I'd like to confirm.

This is looking like a PH or lockout/underfeed issue to me. Potassium and something else. maybe boron by how the one leaf looks. Do you know the PH of your medium? Can test it with a slury, grab a 1/4 cup of soil. mix it with 1cup of distilled water. Switch it aorund let it sit and then measure ph of that solution. Want to grab a good sample that's lower in the pot vs top soil. Other idea is to use a TDS pen when using liquid nutrients and confirm your EC is in check and your not feeding to little or to much nutrients. Looking at your feedings, they seem like they maybe to low. but its a wild guess with out doing some math or knowing its EC. I am not overly familiar with FF nutrients. It looks like grow big hydro has your boron in it. may want some more of it. Best Of Luck!

2/17/22. Day 42. End of 2nd week of flower. NL1 was the lady that was uprooted. You can tell she's a bit behind and that her growth was stunted. Not as many bud sites as her sisters. NL2 is very bushy. Decent amount of bud sites, but very tightly spaced. She has not stretched as much as I wanted. NL3 stretched out much more than NL1 and NL2. Her node spacing looks pretty good, so I'm expecting decent output from her. The deficiency she had seems to be under control. I upped their nutes to half strength of the FF Trio yesterday. Also fed CalMag and some Recharge. Added extra molasses for the microbes. No signs of burns so far. But will definitely need to keep an eye on them. They are being fed every other watering. They dry up ever 3 days or so. Been leaving the tent door open and giving them extra breeze from the outside. I'd like to see more developed branches to support them colas. Excited for the upcoming weeks. Going by 84, out the door, we're half way there!

Ladies are looking fine today.. They're all perky after I took them to dinner and fed them half strength FF Trio nutes... They'll be getting dessert next watering since my Beast Bloomz came in late... Took the inline fan out of the tent for more legspace. Want the ladies to stretch their legs all the way up. Then we'll work on fattening up their buds.

I've been holding off on defoliating my babies since this is my first run, and they are autos. I've mostly LST'd and leaf tucked. But I want to venture into defols and lollipoping for better airflow and light penetration. At what point should this be done? Any tips? Thanks!

About now buddy if you are going to at all. Really you should have done in pre flower for autos and taken leafs that would have covered potential bud sites, giving the auto enough time to recover. Ppl say don't defol auto. But I've had great success with it. And haven't really done any heavy defol since wk 6-7. Best of luck. Have a look at my diaries I done defol to promote growth on a very sickly tangerine dream. It's good to light to bud sites, drop humidity and increase air flow. But once you have a constant air flow I wouldn't worry to much about air moving through them if that's why you want to defol but do it now, you'll need them leafs for energy for the mid to late flowering stage so don't take too much off one node. If you get away with leaf tucking and happy with light pen I wouldn't defol now just for air flow, just increase y9ur air if u that's why u wanna defol. Happy growing buddy. Good luck.
